Then let's just say he caused clutter again.

You're ruining this thread with your negativity, dude.

I bet all you need is nice big self hug.

2403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the rumor about the latest 50,000 BTC auction true? on: March 05, 2015, 10:27:29 PM
This is the more moving piece of rumor/news though:

https://twitter.com/btcchina/status/573574299455455234

No one moves Bitcoin quite like China does...

That's a misleading tweet, the linked article was just "opinion" of a guy who invested in BTC. There is no official things from government. I thought BTCchina misunderstood "lawyer" to "law maker".

Yea, it's an old linked article an all, but you know speculators look at anything to get insider scoop.

Any tweet from a half way legit source, and they take it as gospel without real confirmation.

You know the saying...BUY THE RUMOR!
2404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blizzard creates own currency "WoW Gold" instead of using Bitcoin on: March 05, 2015, 10:22:44 PM
If you could fund WoW Tokens with a credit/debit card or WoW/Blizzard gift card, why couldn't you do it with Bitcoin?

Either that or Blizzard could make a custom Bitcoin wallet for in game transactions....it's not like they can't do it.  They're freaking Activision-Blizzard!  They have the resources and technical talent to do so.

It's just that they choose not to, that gets on my nerves....
2405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the rumor about the latest 50,000 BTC auction true? on: March 05, 2015, 10:18:08 PM
That it was sold 30% (!!!) above market price?  Could someone find any news links or any person from say CoinDesk confirm this?

Rumor only for now:

https://twitter.com/CryptoKees/status/573577241235423232

No confirmation from any news source yet.

2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blizzard creates own currency "WoW Gold" instead of using Bitcoin on: March 05, 2015, 09:43:17 PM
As a wow player and someone who sells gold for Bitcoin this isn't Blizzard making any type of currency, essentially they're selling game time at a premium, instead of the standard 15$ the "token" will be 20$. If you pay for you wow time ingame with gold from another person blizzard just made an extra 5$, and it helps keep subs up as a lot of people will spend the gold instead of money.

Kingcolex, you are absolutely right.  It's selling game time:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/18141101/introducing-the-wow-token-3-2-2015

Wish they allowed Bitcoin to purchase WoW Tokens or just integrated somehow into the game itself...
2407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 05, 2015, 09:37:55 PM
I guess this a classic case of "Buy the rumor" HAHA!    Cool

No confirmation, and this thing is BOING BOING everywhere...

2408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blizzard creates own currency "WoW Gold" instead of using Bitcoin on: March 05, 2015, 08:40:49 PM
Why, Blizzard, Why?   Sad

http://cointelegraph.com/news/113620/blizzard-creates-own-digital-currency-for-world-of-warcraft-still-doesnt-accept-bitcoin

Makes no sense to me, especially for a game that has an auction house, sells so many accounts and in game currency on eBay for real money...this would be a perfect match to avoid scams and such if done properly.

Guess they have no way to apply regulation to it, but still.  Way to be non-progressive, Blizzard!   Angry
2409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia’s Unexplainable Stand On Bitcoin on: March 05, 2015, 07:46:47 PM
This is soooooooo easily explained.  It's called they have their own currency in place:

I mean, which would you rather have?  Bitcoin or Putincoin...

2410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's year 2050 and Bitcoin is the world currency... on: March 05, 2015, 07:36:11 PM
20 million coins would just not be enough to support the whole worlds needs..

Why not?  20 million coins divisible by 8 zeroes is pretty much infinite amounts.

That's the whole genius of Bitcoin, it's based on math and can scale to whatever you need.  If Bitcoin goes to where we all need it, you won't need to carry around more than a few millibits in your mobile wallet.

You don't see people carrying around gold bricks or huge diamonds the size of their fists for spending money, do you?

2411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Bitcoin's biggest problem on: March 05, 2015, 07:29:08 PM
IMHO, what we need to do is to "hide" what Bitcoin is to the greater public.  We need to have Bitcoin so far in the background and behind the scenes, hidden behind a front end, that will allow the general user that doesn't care what a millibit, satoshi, blockchain, or wallet address is.

Think Venmo, ApplePay, and Paypal of the now.  We're nowhere need that stage yet, where you can transmit that easily and knowingly trust that transaction will go where it needs to be headed.  Bitcoin for non dust amounts, you'll probably continually check and check Blockchain.info until 6 confirmations went through to make sure there's no double spends.

Right now Bitcoin is in that Internet in the 1990's phase.  We're at that AOL 5.0 Trial 1000 hours free CD phase.  That Compuserve, Prodigy, Netzero phase.

Where at the phase where you need that super fast 56K modem, need a separate phone line so your MeeMa can call you without interrupting your current jack off session, need to be able to distinguish baud rate, need to have a cheat sheet of your favorite URLs, so you can remember to Bookmark them on Internet Explorer 5 or Netscape Navigator.  Google wasn't born yet, so you have to crawl through a trillion search browsers to get the perfect porn page like Yahoo, Excite, Altavista, Lycos, etc..

This is where Bitcoin is at.  We need Bitcoin to get to that Google search, IE 11, Chrome, Firefox, HTML5 optimized, NFC mobile paying level that any Grandma or kindergarten kid can use it.
2412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn, just bought 0.25 btc and now it's tanking! on: March 05, 2015, 06:35:05 PM
Argh!  Thanks alot stonerider... Angry

Classic buzzkill non buy...  After you've done playing GTA V and have some funds to get another 0.25 BTC buy in, let us know, so know when to anticipate another upswing.

2413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Bitcoin's biggest problem on: March 05, 2015, 06:14:47 PM
Perception, lack of understanding, no incentive to use it.

The services we have now are light years ahead of a couple of years ago, but to buy something with it still involves jumping through hoops to obtain it, learning how to guard it and it would probably cost more unless there were serious discounts.

If and when the whole process is made mindless, that's when it might start going places. Look at Abra. That's a new remittance service with no mention of bitcoin on its site. All people using it will know is that it's quick, cheap and works.

Ding Ding Ding!

Got to get past that "Nerd money" stigma...
2414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn, just bought 0.25 btc and now it's tanking! on: March 05, 2015, 04:01:28 PM
You jinxed it dude!!  You better get a job and start buying that .25 regularly.   It'll be at 10k in no time.

LOLOL

I don't need no stinking job! I live in my mom's basement.

Next time ask your mom for 0.07 so you can make the full 0.25BTC buy and a side of meatloaf...

2415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else who care less about bitcoin now than before? on: March 05, 2015, 03:49:01 PM
So I started with bitcoin a couple of months ago. In the beginning, I would watch charts and do all the things that someone else would do if they were new to bitcoin. But since 1 month, I have stopped checking the charts and reading threads here and news about bitcoins. I simply care less now than before.

I think it's the depressing price that made me care less now because it's not as fun as before. When bitcoin hit around $420 one day, I thought about buying more, since then it's just gone down and down and a bit up and down etc.

Is there anyone else like me? I think I will start to watch charts once the price goes up to what I would refer to as "normal prices - the $350/btc range". In the end, I just hope it will rise to $1000/btc and more, but that seems to be a dream more than reality.

Maybe you cared more at first because it was a new thing to you?  Also perhaps you've realized its either going to the moon or the ground.  You could make a bit of money trading in between but why bother causing yourself the stress, far better ways live.

Everyone cares alot more when something's worth $1200:

It's called greed.  Happens to be the best of us, myself included.
2416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Happy Days Are Here Again, BTC UP, UP, UP ... on: March 05, 2015, 03:42:45 PM
I think today may be an active day in the market. Lets wait and see, but I think it most likely just hold.

Well, I don't think so, as since that small sell-off took place, the volume has been much lower and stable to that extent only till now.
Not sure whether the auction is finished yet or not.

Actual auction ends today at 2pm EST.  Winner will be notified tomorrow, so we'll see if there's any swings pretty soon:

2417  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase. Thanx a bunch!!! on: March 05, 2015, 03:37:17 PM
Ok yeah thanks for the feedback people. So my fnuds were deposited finally and I am able to sell bitcoins now, Damn unfortunately its a day too late. Was gonna sell some while it is at $280 but its dropped a bit now so Im in two minds wether to sell a little bit now or maybe wait a few days see if price goes back over 280 again. tick tock tick tock

And yes Euro wallet is pretty cool (now I am allowed to use it fully)

Wait until the Marshall Auction today is over to see if there's any violent swings before deciding.

I have a feeling most of the auction winners will just hold onto their coin, but you never know.
2418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Presentation. on: March 05, 2015, 03:34:19 PM
Presentation you say, watch this video and take some pointers on how he crushes it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUNGFZDO8mM

During your presentation make sure you focus on these bullet points:

-Decentralization, no single point of failure or no central server or central authority
-Multisig wallets
-Anonymity of user, no need to attach a name, address, phone number, ss# to use Bitcoin
-Blockchain public Ledger, transparent transactions everything recorded
-Hardware Wallets like Trezor or Ledger to secure your Bitcoin
-Scaleable currency, can have infinite amounts of Bitcoin even with limited 21mill supply.  Can move decimal up to 8 zeroes.

Just some of the things you should underline and focus on presenting.
2419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 05, 2015, 03:25:54 PM
All right, 1 post Beartrolls back in full force!  I feel the balance in the force restored now....

The Wall Observer thread is returning to normalcy.  Let's see how long they stick around for after this auction...
2420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best Cloud mining Site? on: March 05, 2015, 03:23:33 PM
Why you people keep mentioning Cex.io, they dead broskis...

http://blog.cex.io/news/cex-io-temporarily-suspends-cloud-mining-services-13074

They're only an exchange now, no mining.

It is back up, with you being able to choose whether or not to mine.

Whether or not it's back up doesn't matter, not a good deal in any way possible.  Plain ripoff.

Only cloud mining I would consider, and trust me I wouldn't under normal circumstances, but if I had to choose one gun to head, it'd be Hashnest:
