2401  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 13, 2021, 11:47:56 PM
I hope so that Bitcoin after the pandemic are still very high value , we know that is we have already vaccine and once it distributed to the whole world it is time for us to back to normal again and the people will go back to work  and I hope those crypto investors are still remain to invest to the Bitcoin and the altcoins or even the tokens so they can earn more money with this help.
We all also very much expect and hope for a high bitcoin price after the pandemic, but we must always be realistic and keep in mind other scenarios of the situation. A significant part of its current price for bitcoin was formed due to the attitude of investors to bitcoin as a protective asset, and measures of financial stimulation of the economy by state governments also play a role. But after the end of the pandemic, these factors will not be so significant and it is worth hoping and believing that there will not be a multiple drop in the price as a result of the correction.
2402  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks around the world want to get into digital currencies on: March 13, 2021, 11:38:45 PM
What are you saying dude? China does have that kind of recognition or positiveness towards bitcoin as recently they have banned btc mining and they enforce up the use of their own digital fiat which is totally opposite on what you are claiming.
For banks then they dont like to get behind on whats the trend, not that they are accepting or integrating crypto but rather they would really be creating their own digital currency and of course that would be still talking about
centralization.
It's just that the Chinese authorities have their own priorities in the field of blockchain and their own digital currency will be in the first place in any case, and it's strange to expect the Chinese authorities to promote bitcoin in the banking sector when there are their own developments in this area. However, this does not exclude the fact that if central banks in other countries are loyal to bitcoin, then the Central Bank of China may soften its position. But the main rate of everything and the most-favored-nation regime will still be on its own digital currency.
2403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 13, 2021, 11:08:21 PM
I totally agree. Juventus now only have Serie A and Coppa Italia. In the Serie A, they need to do whatever they can to decrease the point difference with the leader and finish the league at the best place they can. Maybe it is very very hard for them to be the champions from now on but still there is a chance if we look at it from a mathematical aspect.  Grin
Here the situation is twofold and there are two possible options. Either the team will fall apart and continue their unstable game, or the team will finally get angry and start playing according to their status. Even the situation with the championship race is not so hopeless and with the remaining third of the games in the championship, there are possible options. The most important thing is for Juventus to collect their points and quickly recover from relegation from the Champions League. A very good help would be the return of Dibala to strengthen the attacking potential of the team.
2404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 13, 2021, 09:51:07 PM
Lyon got an unfortunate draw against Reims and they were even nearly losing the game if it weren't for the Kadewere's goal in the stoppage time. But still they are right behind PSG and it is true that they are threatening PSG really well. But most probably, PSG will beat Nantes and make the point difference between them 3. But it looks like we will see this competition for the championship until the last matches of the league. I really love it as I got bored by PSG's dominance in the last years.
Yes, there is finally a good intrigue in the league, because the constant dominance of PSG has already slowly begun to affect PSG in a negative sense due to the search for decent motivation for the club's leading players. It is funny that in addition to the rumors about the potential transfer of Messi to the Paris club, there is a new rumor about the potential transfer of Ronaldo. A very good option for the club, especially if Messi decides to stay in Barcelona or decides to leave for Manchester City.
2405  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: March 12, 2021, 11:59:31 PM
Around 2018 bitcoin started to crash and got very low early in 2020. During this time was the respiratory awareness time and shortly after countries started closing up for business then bitcoin started an increase. I think covid-19 rather helped bitcoin to increase and just like you said, institutional investors started avoiding fiat and using bitcoin.
I do agree that it didn't see a crash like 2018 but we can't disagree that bitcoin dropped a lot last year around these times, we are now 10x higher that is great and I do not think that anything has gone up 10x in the past 1 year if you look at it from march 2020 to march 2021, but it is still a fact that we were around 9k and dropped under 4k for a short period (few hours) and were around 5k to 6k for a whole month until it started to get to 10k again but it still had a decent level crash that was around 50% or so for a while in march.
The good thing about it is that crash didn't take as much as other things, and gold is not doing great right now, and dollar is getting less and less valuable, and stocks are increasing like crazy but not 10x like we did, so things are a bit complicated a bit. I personally believe bitcoin faced this crisis amazingly but that doesn't change the fact that we have seen a crash.
The statement about the avoidance of fiat currencies by institutional investors looks very controversial and quite presumptuous. Strictly speaking, we can only say that institutional investors have finally taken notice and started to invest significantly in bitcoin. Previous crashes do not cancel out subsequent ups and serious investors usually do not like such roulette games from casinos on the market, and therefore we hope that the arrival of such serious big players will allow us to avoid such collapses.
2406  Economy / Economics / Re: Pricing in Dollar - Pricing in Bitcoin on: March 12, 2021, 11:39:40 PM
I believe that bitcoin is priced in US dollars because it's the most accepted currency in the world and it's used in international trades among countries since they use different currencies.
I do not think bitcoin will be priced in Yuan when dollars and other fiats collapse. This is simply because Yuan itself is a fiat and will also collapse should the US dollar collapse.
In case of such collapse of fiat currencies, I think bitcoin will be priced in USDT. USDT, unlike the dollar, is crypto but just like dollar, it's stable. 1 USDT will always be 1 USDT no matter what the price of bitcoin is.
Never say never. We can guarantee and reliably assert only about the current moment in time and the situation in any area can change dramatically in a short period of time. I think that with the collapse of the main fiat currencies, there will still be some kind of fiat currency that everyone will focus on. The fiat currency of a sufficiently significant country, whose economy and currency will be less affected by the collapse. By the way, the current yuan is less freely convertible than the dollar, and this is now a disadvantage, but in a hypothetical collapse, it can be a plus.
2407  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: March 12, 2021, 11:28:45 PM
I believed that our country is ranked last (or near last) within Asian countries that have a good plan with fighting this virus. Its juts sad to see that our government still continue to say that we have successfully mitigated the virus but looking at the number of active cases, nobody can even say if its even called "success"
The data can tell the real picture, they cannot deceive people into thinking they are in total control, I'm glad that the vaccination is now rolling, but people are relaxing because the government is not very strict anymore compare to the first three months when they announced that there will be a quarantine, the people are thinking because the vaccine is already here, there will be herd immunity but this will take time and vaccine that is not coming still limited in supply.
I think that it is possible to speak about the real picture in such matters only approximately and never precisely, because the current level of development of medical technology and the health care system does not allow this. No matter how selfish and cynical it may sound, any government will try to talk about an optimistic vision of the situation, because these are the rules of the game and the government will focus more on successful examples than on unsuccessful ones in order to prove its worth to citizens.
2408  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 12, 2021, 11:17:33 PM
This pandemic has a positive effect on cryptocurrencies especially on Bitcoin because people have realized the importance of digital currency and online transactions. People have learned to invest in it because they have seen how it could grow as a currency. I'm sure that more adoptions will happen even after the pandemic.
And yes and no at the same time. I am not sure that this positive effect is so significant specifically about digital currencies and online transactions, because any fiat currency has its own digital form and online transactions, so it is debatable to argue about a certain special role of bitcoin in the awareness of the importance of online transactions. The absolute majority of the population during the pandemic used fiat digital currencies much more and did not even think about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
2409  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich have too much on: March 12, 2021, 11:06:05 PM
No one can become rich over night. It takes a whole lifetime, a lot of struggle and dedication in life which make a person rich. Once you are rich you deserve to accumulate more wealth. So we should focus on our life on how to become rich by working hard so we could also be classified ourselves in that elite class.
You do can become rich overnight, all you have have to do is pick the right lottery numbers. Sure it is very unlikely but there are chances. Or what about the guys that invested heavily in Gamestop options? They made a huge profit as well. There are some limited chances from time to time to become rich very fast. That is why there is a difference between new money and old money.
Just quick and easy ways to quickly and earn a lot of money do not provide a reliable guarantee for the successful implementation of the goal, because simply speaking, you need to be in the right place at the right time. You can play for decades in the lottery, but never hit the jackpot, or having fast-growing stocks, you may not have time to sell them at the maximum, losing your chances due to the subsequent price correction or even collapse. Therefore, hard and systematic work is guaranteed to lead you to wealth.
2410  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: March 08, 2021, 11:59:01 PM
Most people do not like to take risks with their money. For many people, the government is the safest organization they can trust on. So the money issued by central banks is the safest for those people. Central Banks regulate the money supply and try to boost the economy with monetary policies. However, Bitcoin does not give them so much reliance in comparison with fiat money. They consider bitcoin as a volatile, dangerous medium of exchange. In that manner, there is a difference in BTC and fiat currencies.
I would say a little differently, the absolute majority of people do not like to risk most of their money and have their own reasons and every right to do so. For all their shortcomings, the fiat currencies of central banks are one of the tools of public administration, and no state will voluntarily give up such an instrument of influence on the economy and on other spheres of life. Therefore, it is a big mistake to contrast fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies, and the presence of one of them should not imply the absence of the other and vice versa.
2411  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks around the world want to get into digital currencies on: March 08, 2021, 11:48:46 PM
Central banks will probably follow something similar like Binance exchange is doing, they will create their own centralized chains and centralized currencies.
Then they will be able to rollback, change, freeze anything they want or ban anyone who they don't like, but they will say that fees are cheaper than for Bitcoin Smiley
China is doing the same thing with their digital coin now and they even have special hardware wallets for that, other countries will follow later.
People should finally wake up before it's to late and understand the power of Bitcoin.
The people of the world can wake up as much as they want, but nothing will change the fact that state currencies based on the blockchain are the reality of our near future and are one of the elements of the fiat money system. Just do not go to extremes and think that this will replace the entire monetary system. Undoubtedly, there will be some costs in the implementation process, but let's hope that the state authorities and ordinary citizens will eventually find acceptable options for the system, which will take into account both the state interests and the rights of citizens.
2412  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: March 08, 2021, 11:36:09 PM
I absolutely do not support such restrictive measures against cryptocurrencies, but I perfectly understand the logic of such actions. It turns out that the Nigerian government sensibly assesses the possibilities of its national fiat currency and therefore are not going to arrange any competition between fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies. Let's be frank that the banking sector is not quite adapted for this and for many authorities there is a temptation to go the simplest way of prohibitions, rather than to find ways of interaction. Therefore, I am sure that these are all temporary phenomena and in the future, cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies will calmly get along in the same Nigeria.
2413  Economy / Economics / Re: Why not "COVID" vaccine passports on a blockchain ID on: March 08, 2021, 11:20:49 PM
I believe, people are just thinking of ways how to make the process easier and smoother. However, authorities are not yet ready to utilize blockchain technology because most of them have no idea where to start. So if in case it will be implemented, it would take time and resources to deliver this kind of project. And right now, people have no interest on this task as there are more pressing matters to attend to. But of course, once this technology is implemented, the life would be much easier. However, it takes time to accomplish this project.
I agree with you. The pandemic and related events require a quick and effective response from the state authorities, and the current situation is not conducive to experiments in this area. Let's be honest, that despite some successful experience of implementing blockchain in different areas of public administration, it is still worth recognizing that all this is an isolated case and it is much more convenient for the authorities to use the usual tools that have shown their efficiency in the pre-pandemic time.
2414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 08, 2021, 10:58:22 PM
I think Barcelona were expecting them to get a draw and so they are happy. Atletico have a home game against Bilbao in two days which is their missing game. In the worst case, Atletico will be six points ahead of Barcelona by winning the game but I think it will still be good for Barcelona. Because it is not a gap that is too hard to close. I'd like to remind that Atletico had many more point difference with Barcelona and Real Madrid both but now the competition is much higher.
Barcelona can expect anything, but reality always brings its own adjustments to any expectations  Wink Undoubtedly, the draw that Real Madrid got on the flag itself is the most favorable outcome of the match, but undoubtedly Real Madrid is also happy in its own way that it managed to save itself and not let go of Atletico higher in the standings. Therefore, everyone remained at their own and for Atletico, the x-hour will be just the postponed match. If Atletico wins, this is the confidence of the leader, in the case of a draw or a loss, the strongest intrigue for the championship will appear.
2415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 08, 2021, 10:28:00 PM
I expect some competition at the very beginning of the season, and then again the superiority of Mercedes
I want to see real competition, but have a feeling that the advantage of best 2020 car plus most development time on the 2021 version will give Mercedes a big headstart which will mean easy initial victories, and then, if they cease development midway through the season, we'll see the same second half as 2020, with other teams starting to close the gap.
I hope to be proven wrong of course, as a one team procession does not make for the most exciting racing.
On the contrary, according to my modest feelings, what has been happening for a year now is that Mercedes usually rolls hard into the season at first, but at most after the middle of the championship, Mercedes ' clear dominance begins to emerge. Therefore, a similar option is not excluded this year, but more or less any conclusions can be made only after the first races. Moreover, I am not sure that the engineers of other teams sit idly by and do nothing. But still, the main events in the competition should be expected for the next year.
2416  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 07, 2021, 11:59:24 PM
In the time of pandemic so many people start trading with Bitcoin. So many people newly know about Bitcoin. After pandemic bitcoin price increase enormously. It was hit 50k. After pandemic New people start using Bitcoin. New people start investing on Bitcoin. For those reasons Bitcoin price still volatile and increasing.
Indeed, the pandemic brought a lot of positives in the crypto market. We thought that bitcoin will continue to go down last March of last year, when the lockdown first started. But fortunately, it is the other way around. As months passed, people were stuck at their homes, nothing to do but stayed more online. And that's when halving occurred. And good things happened one after another. Up until big platforms announced their bitcoin buying as well as integration of crypto in their system like PayPal. This pandemic really did give positive impact to crypto. And we are still enjoying this up until now.
The whole question is how long this positive trend will continue and what will happen when the economy enters a phase of stabilization and such protective assets will not be so popular.
I perfectly understand and see why bitcoin is growing and should continue to grow further, but the question arises whether the pandemic has caused excessive growth of bitcoin and excessive overheating of the market, and whether we are then waiting for a drop in the exchange price several times as a result of an imminent correction.
2417  Economy / Economics / Re: Why not "COVID" vaccine passports on a blockchain ID on: March 07, 2021, 11:46:33 PM
This topic could be ended with a phrase about the laws and medical data of citizens.
Each country has its own requirements for medical information on vaccinations, so it makes no sense to use blockchain for these purposes.
I don't think it is the best idea to use blockchain in all infrastructures, including medicine.
Maybe that's true, but when it comes to data management blockchain could've served better. Even with the present vaccination records management it is good to have combined data, but this isn't shared on cross border travel. I don't know how it works, but one of my friend told me about an application in which it automatically reports if someone is not maintaining social distance as well as about rise in body temperature. If that is possible data management can be made precise eliminating unwanted quarantine. However it is the government to make the decision as said in the post.
Maybe because the government authorities do not have a decent and reliable application from developers?  Grin For standard data management, traditional databases are also quite suitable, especially since government organizations have much more experience in using traditional databases than databases built on blockchain technology Wink By the way, I would not be surprised if some country really tries to use blockchain, but I do not think that this will be a mass phenomenon.
2418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 07, 2021, 11:32:19 PM
Juventus was far away a while ago, but now they might have the possibility to close the gap a bit. But they do not have it in their own hands anymore, after Inter keeps on winning.
Maybe they still have to face Inter?
Impossible, Inter can only lose the League, Juventus is still missing too many players, yes they need to face Inter again but the difference in points is too big.
To have a chance Inter needs to lose points with Atalanta, Juve needs to win with Napoli the recovery match and Juventus need to use the penalization of Lazio to get 2 more points.
Almost impossible.
There is one quite true statement that nothing is impossible Wink Atalanta is quite a combat-ready team and may well, as they say, "show your teeth", especially since the club has its own tournament tasks rather than taking points from the leader and the task of getting into the coveted top four. Although of course Juventus is now in an unenviable position and has lost the right to lose points in contrast to Inter.
2419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 07, 2021, 11:12:53 PM
That's right, many goals from each team, now Bayern has gained much more confidence, Dortmund is really a very strong team, also its Technical Director is very influential on the players, the strategy this time failed him, but there is to denote that Bayern is superior.
Bayern are certainly better in any case at this point in time, both in terms of the selection of players and their winning experience, but it is worth admitting that almost until the end of the match, Borussia's strategy brought results and Dortmund was very close to winning at least one point. History does not know the subjunctive mood, but if not for Bayern's second goal at the end of the first half and the forced substitution of Erling Haaland then broke Borussia's game, because it is difficult for Dortmund to make counterattacks without the Norwegian prodigy.
2420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: March 07, 2021, 11:04:23 PM
i dont think it would be exciting to watch Mayweather fight again. he will not change his boxing style. so same old same old. running technique, counting inside the ring, etc
just give the ring to younger generation that knows how to fight toe-to-toe. at least make your money worthwhile. maybe this is the reason why he couldnt get enough audience anymore. people are already tired of seeing the same scenario again and again
anyway, he has all the money in the world. what more he wants from this sports? more money?
What's exciting in the fight is to see him lose, but he is just good too good for running and scoring and that makes the fans getting bored in his fight. However, I'm okay with a real fight, not an exhibition fight as Mayweather is almost unbeatable in real fight, how much more in exhibition fights where he is fighting a celebrity with no boxing record.
Mayweather in all interviews and all his appearance always shows that the main thing for him is money, and everything else is just a way to make money. He's not getting any younger, so every year it's silly to expect him to fight really dangerous opponents, because Mayweather's main asset at this point in time is his winless streak. And if people are willing to pay for such fights from the field of show business with representatives of show business, then why not replenish your bank account with a new amount of money Wink
