2401  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: February 12, 2023, 09:49:12 AM
I'm still a beginner in crypto, as we know from time to time the number of altcoins is increasing, but I want to ask,
will the increasing number of altcoins affect the price of bitcoin,?

but in my opinion it will not affect the price of bitcoin, even though the number of altcoins is increasing.
OP like you rightly said, the increasing numbers of altcoins on daily basis has no atom of effect on BTC not to speak of one that's negative. On the contrary  it's BTC price that  does affect and has influence on the performance of most of these altcoins, when BTC price rises those altcoins follow suit, same with when it falls.
Altcoins can't be compared with BTC in terms of value through the test of time, as these altcoins just flash into the market and disappear within a very short time and that's unlike bitcoin.

2404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 05:57:04 PM
Let's not dwell too much on the disappointment of Chelsea's performance, perhaps it was a deserved result for Chelsea since Graham Potter became Tuchel's successor.
Potter's record track has only been able to make Brighton a mid-table team in the two seasons since he was handled from 2019 to 2022.

It could be that Graham Potter's dismissal as a solution behind Chelsea's poor record so far but the appointment of his replacement if not properly carried out by Boehly will also not be much different from the current results.
Which makes me ask why Potter didn't dare to bring in Fofana and pull out Havertz who didn't look at all optimal earlier.
I think Graham Potter failed in coaching Chelsea. Make no mistake Chelsea have spent lavishly in the January transfer window. They have however failed to win any of their two games since then.

Graham Potter was so out of his depth it was so sad. Only 3 wins in 10 domestic matches and 6 goals. No wins in 10 games against top 10. Chelsea's performance has no character because the coach cannot maximize the abilities of the players.

But Chelsea's current problem is not with the team but with the coach. From the beginning of Graham Potter's appointment as Chelsea coach, I have surmised that Chelsea's performance will not change as expected. I even think Boehly has made the wrong decision at the beginning he acquired the Blues by sacking Tuchel.
This has been my worries since the inception of Potter as Chelsea manager, like the job is too way beyond his capacity based on the level of the club. At first it was like the lack of needed players were the problem behind the losses Chelsea was having even against smaller teams but even with the great players signed to the team Potter is yet to win a game in a superb way befitting of a team that has spent such huge amount of cash in the last window transfer.

2406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: February 11, 2023, 10:02:17 AM
Since strategy are always changing in trading, what is the relevance of experience? Who would you trust the most for trading tips,
An old trader who has had better days and mostly still relevant because they have a strong reputation for the fact that he has been trading for a while, or would you trust a new trader who is hot in the market and fresh with new strategies?
In every area of specialization experience matters a lot. If you were sick and needed to go through surgical heart operation, and you're asked that between an old doctor that has been in the system for decades with wealth of experience in the profession to a new fresh doctor with good grades that has just been inducted into the profession who amongst this two will you OP choose and why?
I bet you will hurriedly pick the old experience doctor to the new fresh guy that just arrived due to his wealth of experience, same thing applies to trading, experience is the bedrock to pulling through with any strategy that you would wanna use without which a little psychology move by the market price can through you overboard.
2407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as wealth. on: February 10, 2023, 10:20:36 PM
Why are you saying there's an asset called "bitcoin core" and when did you last trade gold at a market?

Was there a reason for your topic as I'm still confused of its purpose although crypto has been the best performing asset of the last decade (particularly bitcoin and ethereum).
I thought I was the only one reading the gibberish the OP narrated here, the thread might not be necessary truly. But on second thought, I think he/she does not know how to differentiate some terms thereby looping them together. There are places where investments and trading were supposed to have been strictly used, but marketing and confusing explanations were also seen.

It seems to me OP had a good message in mind to send out about bitcoin investment and how profitable it is, but battling with difficulty of expressing himself in a very clear and precise terms that should have been easy to assimilate without it looking like a gibberish to anyone reading it.
2408  Economy / Gambling discussion / The biggest casino property... on: February 10, 2023, 07:39:16 AM
Marina bay sans is a resort in Marina Bay, Singapore. It was opened in 2010 and it’s currently the most expensive casino property in the world at $6 Billion.
The fabulous resort has 2,561 room hotel, 120,000 square feet of the convention exhibition center, a shopping mall, a museum theater, an infinity pool, and 500 table casino, among others.
https://getnoticed.info/2023/02/09/inside-the-biggest-casino-property-in-the-world/

This goes a long way to express how serious and exotic the casino business as an industry is, imagine a single casino property that's worth more than the budgets of some countries even three put together.  Another insight I feel to bring out of this is the thought that certain gamblers breed within about wanting to make sure they hit a certain huge amount of winnings that possibly could shut down the financial capacity of a particular casino they gamble with. The reality is that such a target will only take much more from you than you least knew so necessary you play with an open mindset of just winning any amount that comes your way and be satisfied.
2409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2023, Bullish or Bearish? on: February 09, 2023, 09:24:29 PM
Like the title says, this year 2023, are you bullish or bearish on bitcoin and why? I would love to hear why. I personally believe this is a bear market rally or something similar.  Kiss Kiss Kiss Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
We are still in the bear market despite the few moves in the past weeks from 17k to 23k this 2023,  although I am looking forward for a bullish market to upturned but that won't just happened immediately it could be towards the end of 2023, right now we can observe some price consolidate for tew days now between 21k-23k which it's possible it could drop down for a retest before rising a bit more to around 30k at most by the half of the year 2023.
The bull is close but not just yet insight.
2410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we have mentors assign to you in this forum as your guiders? on: February 09, 2023, 09:02:28 PM
This is my first post, I know sometimes we can be ignorant of what we're doing thinking we are right, I will love to know if mentors are assign to guide us? over our posts to avoid violating the forum rules and regulations.

Personally am here to learn more than doing what I don't know how to do best. Although Cryptosystem community is very large one which you can not learn everything at once but with you guys here, sure going to learn enough about bitcoin, Bitcoin wallets, transactions, mining and trading, market situations and policies.
There are no such positions as mentors here stead we have moderators that help keep the forum sections in check against unhealthy and poor posts. The only mentor you can have here are the forum rules which will guide you on the dos and don't of the forum so I'll advise you spend quality time to read through carefully as some forum user's have giving you links to the rules of the forum and others articles that could groom your crypto trading skills, cause from your post the money to start isn't your issue but rather it's the lack of the skills to trade that's your major concern right now.
You can see more post about trading from trading discussion and market place.to help you out gradually.

2411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 09, 2023, 10:49:03 AM
I saw a flash about this fight on the news of which I didn't give a paid attention to and now am seeing discussed here, much of what I have read from the comment of other forum users I understand many are underestimating the capacity and capability of Tommy Fury in winning this fight against his opponent Paul maybe due to how Tommy isn't a match near Paul based on past track record.
This is fighting you just underestimate a fighter because that could be the beginning of your weakness in the fight by being overconfident of one's self. We shouldn't be surprised endn up seeing Fury knocking down Paul in Saudi come Feb 26th.
2412  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Do you think that Bitcoin is more worth buying than the ASICs? on: February 09, 2023, 10:32:11 AM
What is your reason for starting mining?

How do you define whether a supplier is legit?

Thanks

It's better to mine bitcoin and to do it you need to have enough or too much money to buy bitcoin mining machines. Because once you start it is a great saving for the future, the only disadvantage is that when the value of bitcoin falls in the market, the cost of electricity increases especially because of the mining machine used in bitcoin.

Therefore, during a bear market, it is better to invest in bitcoin in well-known exchanges and play with it in trading, because it is easier to make money during these times.

But if you know of legitimate suppliers that you can get bitcoin mining from you can check out this site
https://www.globalsources.com

At the current market situation, I think it is better to buy Bitcoin than buying an ASIC and mine Bitcoin.  If you buy bitcoin , you save yourself from setting up mining rig, maintenance, and noise created by miner oh, and also save you from the complaint of your neighbor if you are just a wall away from them.  You also save yourself from possible early machine break out.  There is more pro than cons in buying Bitcoin directly than buying ASICS and mining Bitcoin.
Looking at the cryptocurrency market today, almost everyone will say the same thing that buying Bitcoin is better than making ASIC and mining.  I also think that buying bitcoins would be best at the moment but should not mix trading with ASIC and mine bitcoins separately.

As currently Bitcoin mining is not becoming profitable due to electricity bills and dumping of the market, I think even if you are going to trade, you have to take trades for long term where the investment will not get any profit quickly. So I think both the sectors have their pros and cons now I think it depends on the individual which one he chooses.

But in this case I don't think it should be arguable about the pros of investing on bitcoin to bitcoin mining, like it outweighs the mining of it. Imagine a situation where you just buy at a certain price then sit back give it some time without having to stress out to see your investment yield profit even if it takes a year or two.

Meanwhile apart from the hussle and financial burden one has to bear to make available all equipments needed for mining including electricity bills, have you wondered if there should be a natural disaster taking place like wild fire, flooding , these occurrence is capable of stalling mining operations for a longer period as electricity distribution would drastically be affected and cut off putting all mining activities to a hold whereas some that just invested in bitcoin could be experiencing a bull along the way in that same occurrence.
2413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I decided to buy some fractions of BTC after discussion with members here on: February 08, 2023, 10:10:04 PM
OP congratulations on your first bitcoin purchase surely you can now be reckoned as a full bitcoiner.  But understand one thing, you will now be standing between patience and greed based on the urge to wanting to pull out due to a little profit made or loss taking place cause the market is one with uncontrollable volatility.
Am not part of those that condemn centralized exchange even though I don't like it I still make use of it especially binance and that's due to my part of the world I found myself. What am trying to say here is that, you can make use of binance for your exchange but don't leave a good amount of your asset on any centralized exchange not even binance, it's saver with a non-custodial wallet like electrum, exodus and others. Like the saying goes "not your keys not your coins".
2414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin high prediction 2023? on: February 08, 2023, 08:50:17 PM
I know we are likely to drop further in the first few months of 2023 but I am curious to know how high we all feel Bitcoin can reach later in the year before 2024?
Nobody here is a prophet to know what will happen to the Bitcoin price in 2023.

Take care of some altcoins. Some of them will keep sinking lowered and lower until they are no more and abandoned, and you will lose your investment even after waiting, just like that.
These days even prophets ain't giving accurate prophesies as it were in time of old, it's now more of predictions that by chance materialize or may not at all. By the way, speaking of altcoins I wonder why some persons don't learn from the ugly experience's of others about altcoins and their dissipation tactics that has only kept them waiting helplessly  after investing good sum that would have been better of if it was invested in bitcoin. Altcoins is like a facade, a mirage that the more you look the less you see..
2415  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 08, 2023, 08:27:09 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.
As a student their usually come some emergency expenses especially regarding to some project work requirements and so on. So in my opinion I'll ask you for now focus your energy and. financial strength on your education and get the best out of it after which you can always come back to invest in anything you sure have interest in.  One thing about life is that it's one step at a time,.
2416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 08, 2023, 05:14:40 AM
Have seen few discussion in this board about odd providers limiting user accounts, I assume they must be tracking user's accounts across multiple casinos by email address, kyc is triggered later.

My question is, would it be possible to circumvent such imposition by simply using different emails while registering on different casinos?
In such a competitive business environment like gambling it's difficult to believe that gambling sites would wanna give a disclosure of information of their customer's to rival competitors in same business except for mutual interest benefits that arises between them in a situation where the user's account is under suspicion of an act that's perceived as a threat to their policy or an unfair play is sets in in same pattern over time amongst such user's account which might probably necessitate such limitations as way of checkmating.
2417  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Not having your PVC yet, what's your excuse. on: February 07, 2023, 09:07:47 PM
No offence but the only set of person is I know now that would not have gotten their PVC is the members of Jehovah's witness. The reason being that it is their belief that they should be neutral in politics. Jehovah’s Witnesses remain politically neutral for religious reasons, based on what the Bible teaches. We do not lobby, vote for political parties or candidates, run for government office, or participate in any action to change governments. We believe that the Bible gives solid reasons for following this course.
I no get any objection to your religious belief or any other person's but one thing I go talk be say, if every other naija person the lament and complain about the harsh situation of tins and how the country is getting worse day by day  abeg make Jehovah's witness people no follow the complain too cos them be part of the Naija problem since Dem dey fold hand dey look no wan involve on deciding who go be their political leaders, becos "bad leaders  take over political positions becos good men sit down and do nothing ".
2418  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why full time to crypto why not to Skills on: February 07, 2023, 07:17:53 PM
People losing their money in crypto is mainly base on lack of Research and this is because the person lacks consistency and diligency.
And Is not about learning a new skill but more about mastering one.
Choosing  between crypto and skills should be based on the person interest. Crypto also strengthens ones mind not only skills

In extension it's much advantageous having both knowledge of crypto by being grounded in it and also having other different Skill so when crypto doesn't bring in profits a the moment our other skill might cover for your bills.  And mind you, crypto is a skill in itself, a digital skill so to say and the industry is huge with yet untapped potentials.
2419  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for feedback on my new bitcoin site! on: February 07, 2023, 06:52:23 PM
Hi everyone! Here is a website I've been working on that shows crypto news, crypto graphs, and even a bitcoin explorer with live global transactions. The graphs are still elementary, but looking for feedback/  thoughts from people who like to follow crypto! Thanks

https://d2index.com/

I just checked in and I must admit i kinda loved what I saw and the current updates I came across too were quite impressive. For trial, OP I am thinking of using your site as one of my  crypto updates and I promise to recommend the site to my colleagues if your  updates continue to be credible as time goes on.
2420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: February 07, 2023, 05:29:24 AM
Are we now on crypto bull run or this yet to be go down futher more down than 15500?
We can't actually say we're now I'm the bull market as it stands, the bear market is still in course despite the consolidation of gradual rise in the price of BTC at th moment. If you want to buy then it's best you buy with the mindset of holding for a long term and not based on how the price is now with a hope that in the next one to about three months from now that there would be a significant rise. You just might get disappointed.
