2401  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: June 01, 2016, 07:54:34 AM
Share with us what's your main reason for buying bitcoins?

I'm always buying bitcoins, because I like to hoard them for future use. Having a good place to keep all your earnings is great to me, since fiat currency depreciates over time while bitcoin retains in value due to the internal mechanisms.

Also I buy bitcoin as an investment for the future. Not only will it be a store of value, it will also appreciate in value Smiley
2402  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 01, 2016, 07:53:22 AM
Are you inspired by those bitcoin millionaires? Are you thinking of filing a resignation letter on your day job (if you have any) and focus on bitcoin instead?

Me? I do have a day job and I consider bitcoin as my side job. I don't want to lose that another source of income just because bitcoin is awesome.

I am inspired by those bitcoin millionaires, but seriously most of them are just early adopters that just happened to have a bunch of coins lying around, or some of them were smart enough to start a bitcoin company when it was still the early adoption phase.

But now, there are so much competition. A bitcoin startup doesn't offer much financial security to me. So no.
2403  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we break the 400$ ? on: June 01, 2016, 07:52:12 AM
Definitely yes. In fact, right now the price is around $550 and still going strong. It's simply because of the halving that is coming up very soon. The halving could be the push that bitcoin needs.

$400 might be the new floor IMO, although it is unlikely it's going to crash any time soon.
2404  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price going back to $250??? on: June 01, 2016, 07:51:22 AM
Nope. In fact, it is rising a lot now. A price rise of around $100 is recorded around the last week or so. I believe it's going to go up by way more than that. I mean a lot more. And it's not gunna crash.

After all, we are still a long way off the $1100 high. And we probably have more publicity and value now than we had when that high was achieved.
2405  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 01, 2016, 07:49:45 AM
Definitely bitcoin because we are going virtual at an ever increasing pace. And it's not going to stop any time soon. Bitcoin will become the dominant virtual currency, of the world. The world will all use it.

While gold will also remain a very good store of value in the mid term future, it is not as convenient as bitcoin.
2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the advantage and disadvantage of Bitcoin? on: June 01, 2016, 07:48:39 AM
The advantage and disadvantage of bitcoin is the same thing in my opinion. IRREVERSIBILITY.

If you are a seller of some goods, irreversibility is good for you because you do not want someone to chargeback on you and you lose all your money.

But if you are a buyer, if you get scammed by the seller you will not be able to chargeback and therefore also losing all your money.

In my opinion though, the goods outweigh the bads.
2407  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: June 01, 2016, 07:47:21 AM
Definitely still believing in bitcoin, and I will never lose faith in it. I believe that it is going to replace the paper currencies one day, and that the price of it will go up a lot when it happens since paper currency will depreciate in value.

Bitcoin might be facing a lot of problems rigth now, but it will get resolved very soon.
2408  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: June 01, 2016, 07:45:05 AM
I first heard of bitcoin when a Forbes article by Kashmir Hill came out. It was a great article and it boosted understanding as well as awareness of this currency. After that I just loved bitcoin and kept on participating in the community.

There should be more articles and experiments conducted about bitcoins IMO. They spread a lot of publicity.
2409  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: June 01, 2016, 07:43:41 AM
As soon as bitcoins are used to price goods directly, bitcoin will be money and this will happen very soon.

Right now you can buy goods for bitcoins directly, but you have to deal with the always fluctuating exchange rates, and the prices are based on USD or equivalents. That will be replaced by a price constant in BTC soon.
2410  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: June 01, 2016, 07:42:43 AM
I think it's very possible for bitcoin to replace paper money because in the future nobody is going to use paper currency. Also the fiat system is not going to last long and soon it will collapse.

It'll need a replacement, and bitcoin will be perfect.
2411  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / Re: Bitcoin to Wechat pay wallet on: June 01, 2016, 07:41:58 AM
Which is the faster and cheaper way to deposit/convert Bitcoin into Wechat pay wallet (in local currency)?

Check on localbitcoins. There is lots of advertisements for these kind of trades. You could consider changing first into alipay, then into wechat wallet CNY if you cannot find any direct deals. AFAIK you can also recharge with your CC so that's another option.

An example of an ad that offers such services: https://localbitcoins.com/ad/339629/cash-out-your-bitcoins-wechat-pay-wallet

Hope this helps
2412  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: June 01, 2016, 07:40:11 AM
Well, I do not earn a living with bitcoin. Starting a project is simply too much hassle and too much work for an unguaranteed future.

But I think that bitcoin will go through mass adoption and soon it will be possible for more people to get paid in bitcoin. They might not create their own business with bitcoin, but at least they can get paid with it.
2413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Bitcoin? on: June 01, 2016, 07:37:31 AM
Bitcoin has made it extremely easy for people to access gambling. Of course this is a bad thing and a good thing. It can help casinos to generate more profit with a smaller investment, but it also makes more people addicted to gambling.

Gambling is bad and you should view it as entertainment. Never bet what you can't afford to lose.
2414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: June 01, 2016, 07:35:46 AM
Definitely bitcoin is better, simply because paypal is reversible and used for so many scams in the past. I cannot believe how many people have filed chargebacks against me, and how easy it is for them to do so.

Bitcoin on the other hand is completely secure to use and there is no chargebacks. One major advantage.
2415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: June 01, 2016, 07:34:44 AM
I actually bought in some BTC when the price was $400, and already made a ton of profit on it. So I guess the lesson learned is that always buy bitcoin when everyone thinks it's already reached the top.

Bitcoin has a long way to go.
2416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: May 29, 2016, 10:16:21 AM
Definitely invest instead of gambling. Seriously, it's simple to figure out which is which. Gambling is pure luck, while investing, well you could say it involves luck as well, but way less luck, more skill and your picks.

You get a chance to win in the long run with investing, while it is impossible to do that with gambling.
2417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price will rebound at 500$ on: May 29, 2016, 10:14:57 AM
Definitely $500 should be the new floor. Heading for $600 or even $700 right now. No big surprise for me if we do hit that target.

The upcoming halving is doing a lot of good work for BTC. It's the boost that is needed for ages now. Hopefully it can do good to the bitcoin community, to sort out the mess bitcoin is in right now.
2418  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PRIMEDICE JUST FUCKING SCAMMED ME 13 BTC on: May 29, 2016, 10:13:03 AM
IM SO FUCKING POSSED I DEPOSIRED AND I CHECKED LOGS SO MANY TIMES, NOTHING
I CONTSCT SUPPORT THEY SAY SOMEONE WITHEREW
THEN SOMEHOW A MAGIC WITHSRAW COMES

I HAD NO MALWARE, NO LESKED, PASSWORD WAS SUPER STRONG
WHAT RHE FUCK?

Firstly, fix your keyboard. You keep typing all the wrong keys. Calm your tits down.

Primedice is pretty honest and trustworthy as far as I know, and I've played there a few times without any problems. Ask someone like Mr. Vincenzo and he'll tell you how he won around 400~ coins and withdrew without a problem.

No point for PD to scam you out of 13 BTC. No point at all.
2419  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: May 29, 2016, 10:10:28 AM
What do you think? I think I might be close. I'm guessing $10,000 per bitcoin by then.

Yeah, definitely. I believe that bitcoin will go to $10000 sooner or later in the future. Just a matter of when and how. Bitcoin definitely has the potential to do so. And with ease, too.

The fiat market will collapse and who knows where bitcoin's gunna go? It's not even gunna be measured in fiat anymore.
2420  Other / Off-topic / Re: A digital item was sold for $55,000! (CS:GO Skin) on: May 29, 2016, 10:07:40 AM
I find it difficult to understand why somebody would do that. Buy stuff from a game that can be replicated by the owner at any given time. It's just pixels on the screen, and it's not like bitcoin, which is decentralized.

Anyhow, congratulations to the buyer. I know that these items are difficult to acquire and go for a big price. Hopefully he can get rid of it when it comes to the time.
