2401  Economy / Securities / Re: Red Star Mining IPO GLBSE Listing 3x'FPGA double boards' 2.5GH/s@130W on: March 19, 2012, 06:27:14 PM
The new FPGA board should be ready to ship within two weeks  Grin  So as for delivery costs should we pay $60 for 6 - 10 days delivery or $74.95 for 3 - 5 days delivery or hold a vote?
As I personally own over 25% of all shares so far issued if general feedback goes for the $74.95 delivery I'll go for that without a vote.  If the feedback is mixed then we should probably hold a motion?
This new board will operate around 800MH/s@40W.  As my main PC is already on 24/7 RSM will only pay for the 40W FPGA board or probably £0.75 a week of electricity once I get my new supplier from approximately ~3.65BTC generated a week from one board.  So if only ~800 shares remain in circulation a dividend of approximately ~0.00425BTC per share should hopefully be paid within a month.  If more shares are sold from the IPO (1105 remaining I think) the dividend will decrease but will be moving us on to the purchase of board two.  With just two boards running and all 1900 shares issued a weekly dividend of approximately ~0.00358BTC per share should be paid.
Although we are planning on getting RSM its own dedicated £30 RaspberryPi (5v at ~770mA so an extra ~3.85W so an extra £0.70 a week costs) as we can't rely on my single ageing PC to run the boards for ever.  Also what are people views on issuing more shares at 3.1BTC once the IPO is completed to purchase more FPGA boards or should we hold on to 50% of profits for expansion rather then pay it out in dividends.  A tough decision that a vote will definitely held over once the IPO is completed.

I've also posted this in the RSM CoinConnect group - http://www.coinconnect.org/blog/view/29977/ipo-update-and-about-delivery-of-the-first-fpga-board - for the five current members and shareholders to discuss on.  If your not a member of the RSM CoinConnect group and you are a shareholder please join up as I'm the website administrator and moderator of CoinConnect.  So your usually find me in the CoinConnect chatroom for any quick questions.
2402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Running an FPGA on Raspberry Pi, possible? on: March 18, 2012, 11:43:36 PM
i only skimmed the OP, but could there be some way of magically running this off a jailbroken IOS device? something like ITouch>ITouch USB> USB Hub>BFL.
i know someone would have to make custom drivers or something of the sort.
OOOOHHH Brainstorm! DD-wrt/Openwrt Router?

sorry if that doenst have anything to do with Rasberry PI/Fpga's, my line of thought was getting a BFL single up and running using the least amount of power possible

I doubt even a jailbroken Itouch would ever have mining software made for it.

The RaspberryPi is only 5v and at ~700mA(I think) only.  So a touch over 3W and less than 4W it's still uses a lot less power than a 200W PC.

2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Increase litecoin value on: March 18, 2012, 05:19:24 PM
Litecoins currently fluctuate between 0.001 and 0.002 bitcoins in value,
is there anyway that would increase?
more/less users?
more/less mines?
more commerce?

More users and more commerce.

2407  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Anonymous Ads. Advertise & Monetize. How much is the ad space at your web site? on: March 18, 2012, 02:09:20 AM
I'm Affiliate 143Jgi4ycmHG3AUNEFTaWWTWXtAdMKNTpu and haven't received a penny in referrals  Sad  and I've only made 0.0663 from 21 clicks from over 700 impressions.  Websites - http://glbse.blogspot.co.uk/ and http://redstarmining.blogspot.co.uk/

Thanks for your message. For some reason http://glbse.blogspot.co.uk/ doesn't work for me Sad

And what are your minimal income expectations?

Dailybitcoins.com charges 0.05 btc for thousand impressions. I can support you with 0.08 btc/month for leaving your affiliate code on first pages of your sites (+ affiliate and referral income from it are essentially yours). Do you accept the offer?

Regarding referrals: referral payments are 10% of bootstrap payments made by advertisers you refer.

IFRAME and JS versions of ads already contain referral link in it, but graphic ads don't.

So if you want to get referral payments but you can't use IFRAME or JS code, then you need to use the referral link from your affiliate page (feel free to modify it as you like, but leave your withdrawal address there:)).

Hi does - http://glbse.blogspot.co.uk/ - work any better for you?  I've changed the LTC mining script.

I'm not big on the whole "code" side of things, but I guess i'll have to if I want to do this project Tongue. I commend you for taking initiative, Matthew. I'll be keeping an eye our for your posts.

I will also be keeping an eye out for this new FPGA you speak about. Thank you!

Yeah once I've got these new FPGA boards which have the same hash rate of the BFL-Single but at half the wattage tho will be more expensive I will do a how-to on setting the boards up with Ubuntu and the RaspberryPi as well.  Also this new company will ship from both the USA and the EU to help get around import tax and give next day delivery.  Tho I probably saying to much and you should wait for them to go public within two weeks.

OK thanks maybe you can't view the GLBSE page because I have a LTC mining script on it and its generating LTC so some/most people can view it.  About earning expectations well AdSense pay me over £0.80 a click but I've only had 6 AdSense clicks to the 21 Anonymous Ads clicks.
2411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Running an FPGA on Raspberry Pi, possible? on: March 17, 2012, 05:41:38 PM
Matthew: What do You mean by different FPGA board FOR the BFL Singles?
I don't really get it... Huh

I meant a different FPGA board then the BFL-Single (an alternative product made by somebody else).  The company selling them hasn't gone public yet and I can release no details but the company will be going public about the product within two weeks.
2412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Flexcoin payments went out today on: March 17, 2012, 05:28:43 PM
So the discount payments get paid to your whole balance and are not just used to offset fees?
2413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Running an FPGA on Raspberry Pi, possible? on: March 17, 2012, 04:50:16 PM
Yes it would you have to compile the mining software from source.  I'm in the process of ordering a different FPGA board to the BFL-Single.  Once I have the board and a RaspberryPi I will do a 'How-To' thread on the forum.

2415  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Anonymous Ads. Advertise & Monetize. How much is the ad space at your web site? on: March 17, 2012, 04:32:36 PM
I am stopping supporting affiliates on behalf of advertisers because it gives incentive for fraud and distorts statistics. Only advertisers are able to reward affiliates for successful visits to get the more impressions for cheap. And it will be cheaper if I don't interfere.

Since advertisers don't always do it, I'll use some of bootstrap money to support affiliates directly (it won't be shown in stats).

Dear affiliates, if you are not satisfied with your income from Anonymous Ads, please let me know your affiliate addresses, urls of your websites and your income expectations.

I might be interested in renting your ad space for 1-12 months or in supporting you directly when your income is less than your minimal expectations. I have about 10 btc to spend right now and I'd like to use it to augment the affiliate network.

2419  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Announcement] Bitscalper under new management. on: March 16, 2012, 11:40:38 PM
Looks like the new management tries to use spyjax to get a browsing history of their clients.
Hi, the site as of writing this is still located on the old server with a simple placeholder on the index page until I am ready to go live on my server. All other files apart from the /p/ directory have been removed, including removal of the database for transfer (The old server was insecure and had been compromised).
The site does not use spyjax code anywhere, for some reason the old owner simple decided to name the database table like that.

I will be conducting a full audit of the code and financials this weekend, I am just strapped for time at the moment as I was called back into work for some emergency cover work.

Cool when are you taking deposits and running the bot?
