I never realized what a bunch of silly bitches techies are. It's like reading a verbatim dialog transcript from a high school prom.

Ok, I've seen a lot of memes but this one is clearly the best.

How Americans choose and vote for a political candidate:

1) Charisma/Personality of the candidate
2) By party affiliation
3) Name recognition
4) Hearsay (such as “Ron Paul is an isolationist” – he’s not, but that soundbite will live into eternity and most will believe it because they don’t investigate).
5) Beauty (yes the physical appearance of the candidate – that’s our culture. Chris Christie would have to lose 200 pounds to be taken seriously on a national level).

737) Stance on domestic policy issues
738) Domestic political experience
739) Stance on international issues

Several countries have agreed to offer asylum to any American that wants to leave

The List:

2.
3.

missing any country?

I'm fond of the idea of making California more of a honey-pot for budding collectivists and U.N. 'sustainable' playground than it already is and encouraging a lot of people whom that appeals to to move there.  Maybe even advertise it as a 'Trump-free zone.'  Then at some point 'lose' it to Mexico or Aztlān or whatever.

Of course I don't live in California any more and when I did I considered myself a migrant worker and sent most of my excess earnings up North.  Not as far North as the Soviet of Seattle however.  My hopes for that and Portland is that it would similarly be 'lost' to Canada.  Betwixt the two (and right were I live now) I hope to become the sovereign nation of Jefferson (vs. the 'Jefferson State' which is an idea that has been bandied about for a while.)  As a legal framework basis we could borrow the United States constitution since it's not really being used any more.

I haven't really enjoyed living in the land of the paranoid and home of the spied upon for a long time. It's been at least two decades since I could call myself a patriotic American. I don't want to leave only because it's going to be so much fun watching this country self destruct.

I wouldn't borrow too much from the constitution unless your looking to create a white male superiority state. Not that I have anything against slavery and raping slave women if that's your thing. Hey, if it's good enough for Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin it's good enough for me.
2405  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC now equals $630!!! on: June 12, 2016, 11:53:13 PM
It is a bit scary to see it rise to fast. Perhaps I should sell some when it hits 700? Is it sustainable in the long run?
yeah it is a little bit scary to be honest because the price might be dumped any time

i hope that bitcoin price will keep on growing up significantly thus allowing to make some good money

Massive increases in the exchange rate of any currency makes businesses nervous. They need to immediately exchange their btc sales in for dollars or risk losing money on sales. This rapid movement must be artificial. It makes no sense.
2406  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC now equals $630!!! on: June 12, 2016, 04:32:11 PM
To all those people that bought Bitcoin near $1,000 when MtGox overinflated the price to hide their crimes: stand ready, your time to sell off is near.

OP deleted his account it seems, probably because he is so rich now that he doesn't want to post on forums anymore and is enjoying his new found wealth.

Hopefully we can be like OP in a couple of years. HODL.

He was a 16 year old self proclaimed nihilist kid from Texas with mental problems, abused by his parents, that tried to commit suicide and posted about it on this forum.

2410  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Hillary Clinton Trustworthy? on: June 12, 2016, 07:08:32 AM
I don't trust Hillary, I don't trust Trump. I think Sander had good intentions, but his politics are delusional. Therefore I don't know who to vote, I think I will just go to the beach that day.

That's a good plan, as long as the beach is in another country and you don't come back for four years.
2411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BurtW arrested (update: charges dropped!) on: June 12, 2016, 07:03:54 AM
There is only one permanent solution to this problem. All the decent people like Burt in this fucked up country need to leave. Let all the asshole government leeches stay here and suck the blood out of each other until they're all dead. Then we can come back and reoccupy the empty land. Several countries have agreed to offer asylum to any American that wants to leave if that fool Trump wins. We should take them up on it.

Yes there is, Jesus fucking Christ.

2413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: June 10, 2016, 04:06:58 AM

That still makes sense to me.

And for few people lurking in bitcoin world.

I see no reason for that kind of bad news to people to stop using bitcoin.

In my case I didn't feel the stressed happened when MT GOX being down (I see this is the big deal for all the list above) so Im not in the position to say to a person involved that still continue to use bitcoin, but what Im saying here, just like in reality, learn to stand up after a devastation.

The problem is, the people that are actually supporting the economy are not just a bunch of kids. They have real money and are playing with their life savings. They have no intention of risking everything on a pipe dream when the payment methods they use now work just fine for them. The average joe homeowner has no real reason to use Bitcoin.
2414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: June 10, 2016, 01:24:06 AM
Six years of bad press coverage maybe.

That still makes sense to me.

BADecker, you are the worst case of brainwashing I've ever seen. I've discussed religion with priests that had a more open mind. BTW: I studied theology as an elective in college.

I'm afraid he's quite blinkered and cannot remove them to see through the fog.
Or as I suspect...... not so much cannot, more like doesn't want to remove them.  Cheesy

He's either having some fun and doesn't really believe what he's spouting or he's the one that escaped from the branch davidians before the fbi raid. In the classes I've taken there were multiple speakers from dozens of faiths. Each time I had an opportunity to question one of them they all would accept the incongruity of some of their teaching.

I actually had an LDS Priest tell me he only believes roughly a third of what's written in his bible. He claimed the general ideas were more important than the specifics that can be clouded in translations passed on for generations. All I could think to say to him was that, if I was working on a car and only two thirds of the repair manual was correct the car would never run again. All he could say was, hum, interesting comparison. O_o

However, neither you nor anyone else has been able to refute the science that proves that God exists.

Bury your head in the sand if you want. But if you seek the truth, why do you keep on rejecting it when I point it out to you? Oh yes. You don't seek the truth.

Cool

I wasn't actually talking to you but ok.

Who's truth?  Your truth?  A Jews truth? A Muslim's truth? A Zen Buddhist truth? A Hindi's truth? The Taoist truth?

A Christians truth? If a Christians truth then which one, 100 Kinds of Baptists, 66 Kinds of Lutherans, 58 Kinds of Pentecostals, 52 Kinds of Presbyterians, Just 4 branches = 276 versions of "the truth". Or maybe it's the Catholic truth? What about the Christian Science truth? Anglicans should have a say, shouldn't they? What about their truth? Quakers, Millerites, Mormons, Adventists all should have a say in the truth, right?
All included roughly 780 different versions of the Christian truth. What the fuck are Christians thinking? Even BASKIN ROBBINS only has 31 favors.

The only thing I can conclude is that Christians just make shit up as they go along.

2418  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: June 08, 2016, 11:05:08 PM
I have a feeling we're all going to look back in 20 years and say: oh yeah, I remember Geoworks Ensemble.
In any matter and in any field we should not have to look back to count our mistakes and lost opportunities but have to run with the present and have to look for the future so we will be successful and will be able to grab any opportunity.
I thought it was just a figure of speech when you've been in 20 out again and you saw 20 years earlier and you will see and say that bitcoin has been developing very rapidly from before? maybe it will be a nostalgic where today we are still difficult to shop with bitcoin and you will find it easy in the 20 years to come

Sad truth: In 20 years there's bound to be something better than Bitcoin.

Personally, I prefer holding Monero (XMR) as a vehicle to capture gains from investment that won't be moving to a growth-capped BTC. It has an Adaptive Blocksize, donchaknow.

kind of funny
icebreaker=monero fan.
gmaxwell = monero fan..

but they are publicly all lobbying to not have any changes to bitcoins blocksize, while enjoying monero..

hypocrits

Do you ever say anything even remotely valuable? I said years ago that I hate to put anyone on ignore for fear they will spark some kind or great debate and ignore greys out any threads they start. I'm going to risk it with you because I can't see it as much of a risk.
2420  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: June 08, 2016, 10:49:27 PM
You can't have Bitcoin without anonymity you can forsake your anonymity but that is against the ideals of Bitcoin, and you can't have massive global/political adoption without getting past the governments, and you can't get the governments to back their nations on a currency they can't trace, freeze, and seize. SO WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE THINK BTC CAN BECOME "THE" WORLD CURRENCY? I love (B/b)itcoin but seriously.

The only "ideal" I've ever seen listed for Bitcoin was to be a completely non-reversible currency allowing people to send money to each other without the need for a trusted third party. I don't know where the fuck you're getting anonymity from, that was never part of the deal.

This thread has become really weird BTW. It's kind of mutated into its own life form.
