It's good to see him back on the court. I love his dribbles, handles style of play the NBA was missing that. Someone talented who play with instincs in the court. I wish that he could or would play more, but he pretty much ends up sitting out 30-40 games per season regardless of the team or scenario, really.
Irving is always fun to watch on the court, he could be the best player of the team as he can certainly carry the team with accuracy, unlike James Harden. I think the Nets now will become better and now that Irving is back, I believe their win streak will continue as long as that chemistry remains. |

Grizzlies are just on a great winning streak now. They had an away game against Cleveland last night and got another win by 110-106 this time. And this was their 6th win in a row. Ja Morant wasn't too impressive when it comes to his field goal made percentage. But he still was one of the top scorers of the game with 26 points. He is so young and takes big responsibilities for his team. It is a big joy to watch him playing.
That was a really well-deserved win from the Grizzlies against Cavs. As you said, Ja Morant had an average field goal percentage but still, he scored 26 points which is quite a lot. If he can work on his accuracy, then he can be deadlier for them. I love the fact that the Grizzlies are playing like a team, their chemistry is spot on every time, every game, every build-up play. Although the Cavs also played quite well but it was not enough for them to get the win. Garland scored 27 points and gave 10 assists and was quite well supported by his teammates but maybe the Grizzlies were just better. They are playing with good chemistry and Ja Morant really stands up as the leader at a young age. The accuracy of Morant has already improved, he is also more mature now as he is not afraid of taking shots when he is needed, that's the quality of a real superstar and he confirms one. Yeah, he is a more of a risk taker in the last 6 games of their winning streak. The degree of difficulty though is beyond me, maybe the defence it really too tight for him that he really need to improvised, double clutch and this using the glass. And that steal though, he uses his speed and even Garland can't keep up with him. Grizzlies is better overall because of Ja Morant, supporting case did they share, but when it comes to clutch time, give the ball to Ja. Morant is carrying the entire Grizzlies he's the main man, and he really improves a lot. He's more reliable now when taking big shots, and like what you have said, that tight defense needs to improvised shots from time to time but whoever guarding him, he always has the answer. I just remember AI with him. He's not afraid of taking big shots, even how tall or how quick the opponent in front of him, he will try his best to beat them up. He is fearless in short, he can dunk over the best big men in the league, that's how he is, not only a smart player but also a very confident player, no wonder his team is very successful now and they will surely enter the playoffs without a sweat. I wonder how Nets lost to Grizzlies home by a this many point difference last night. I was even expecting Nets to defeat them with the help of KD and Harden. But their performances combined wasn't that impressive unfortunately. Morant and Bane played a big role in this win for certain. Morant got 36 points and Bane got 29. And Morant got 6 reb and 8 ast also which was a really solid performance. I really admire his performance in this season. Especially in the last 4 games, he made a really huge effort.
Well, there's something what you call an off-night for every sports including the NBA and also, you don't want to underestimate the Grizzlies this season. They are pretty solid this season especially with the Adam acquisition. It's good to see a good Grizzlies team again since Marc Gasol, Randolph, Mike Conley, and Rudy Gay. Too bad they didn't win a championship with that line up. Let's see what this current Grizzlies team can do in the playoffs. The dark horse, it's good to remember those old stars who always their competing with top caliber teams. Nets are not exempt in losing the game, even you have KD and Harden if they have a bad performances while the other side are playing solid, shit will happen.. Each teams have their solid performance it's just the Grizzlies who have that from the leadership of Morant. Better Luck next time. The best thing to do and I'm sure he'll not dominate as he is not getting any younger. I think he is still young, at 35 years old, I'm sure he can still play well as a Center. Other centers maybe so reliant on their rebounding skills and dominance inside, but Blatche does more than that because he is also a great 3 point shooter. I'll be checking on the update of the Commissioner's statement, and see if this import can really play in the Governor's Cup. |
