2401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It Is Possible To Invest In Crypto Currency Without Buying Any Coins. on: December 30, 2022, 03:07:31 AM
Did you misunderstand about investment?

Investment means you use your money, capital to buy something, hold it with belief that these things will increase in value and bring profit to your portfolio.

If you don't buy anything, it is not investment.

You can claim faucets, receive cryptocurrency as birthday gift or any sort of gift from others and hold it too but with these inputs, I don't consider that you are investing.

Wiki definition for Investment
Quote
Investment is the dedication of money to purchase of an asset to attain an increase in value over a period of time. Investment requires a sacrifice of some present asset, such as time, money, or effort.

He meant indirect investment like the link he posted which means not buying the cryptocurrency himself which the article says crypto ETF and Mutual funds. It defeats the purpose of owning the crypto assets though.

In this forum, one can really get to earn crypto either altcoins or BTC by joining campaigns. That would mean no money coming out of the pockets but he gotta work for it.
2402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would Satoshi Do (today) on: December 29, 2022, 02:34:30 PM
Centralized doesn't always mean bad.
Centralized coin being sold as decentralized is bad though.

You can't argue with this. Charles has been telling everyone on his live ama every single time that ADA is decentralized while he has billions of it and then has a staking pool.

The regulators are trying to bring down crypto that is not made in US, why will Cardano be ignored by the US regulators? But I'm really surprised why Gensler is not attacking ADA, they could just say ADA as Security but why not? I guess it's not yet time but it will be the next fud in 2026 probably.

Satoshi couldn't do anything but probably just accept these altcoins exist and even the person we hailed to be the next Warren Buffet can be a scam.
2403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 29, 2022, 02:04:09 PM
To those of you who criticize the fight cancellation vs. Gesta.

Ryan Garcia has made the correct decision, I reckon. If he was to continue the fight against Gesta and also has to have some of his attention on the superfight against Tank Davis on May, this will certainly be more added pressure that he does not need. Would fans still want King Ry vs. Tank if Ryan Garcia does not give a good performance against Gesta? What if he lost vs. Gesta? There is also risk of injury.

These are risks that Ryan should avoid. Similar argument to Tank also, he should cancel his fight against Hector Luis Garcia. He might injure his left hand again.

I don't criticize his decision as I believe it will only result to a mismatch fight.

Garcia should focus on his big fight and that's why he is doing right now, if Davis will have a tuneup fight, that's his decision but I'm pretty sure he will not be at risk of losing that fight because their fight against Garcia is already destine to happen.

Even if that fight would occur, Ryan Garcia would still win the fight, and people would not get excited since Gesta is not a champion, they will think that it's a tuneup fight where there's an obvious winner. His decision to cancel to fully prepare himself to Tank Davis is the best decision he made, why? because he needs to be fully focus in order to beat Tank Davis who's a real champion.

I think the Hector and Davis fight will also be canceled they could just resume thier scheduled fight this May Davis vs Ryan Garcia where both don't have tune-up fight. Davis on the news was arrested due to domestic violence, it's just a week away from Hector's fight night.

If they are both willing to just give a good entertaining fight for thier fans as per demand, its fair they both didn't have tuneup fights.
2404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payment laundering in order to avoid taxation on: December 29, 2022, 01:57:39 PM
Hello I have started accepting payments with bitcoin due to its anonym state. Should I state them at my taxes as payments? Should I just spend them as a bitcoin on groceries and under 1,000 payments? Also, is it worth it to take them in cash using a crypto atm? What is my best option to not get this money tracked and taxed?

It does mean you have a business that you now are trying to accept BTC from the products and services you offer. If the BTC address is not linked to your business, I guess that BTC is not recorded in your cashier's ledger and maybe it's safe to just use the BTC but if it's recorded there then it's taxable.

Pay up your tax, after all, you are a citizen of your country.

2405  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Macaw Casino SCAM on: December 29, 2022, 01:38:26 PM

This player was banned from our website for multiple attempts of fraud. He was also banned from our discord due to threatening and abusive messages.

Do you mind share additional information or proof?

Macaws withdrawals are done instantly, directly from the casino via the lightning network. There is no need to wait for manual approval, you can do it as soon as you win. This user tried to manipulate the html of the website to make it seem that he had more funds than he did and convince our support team that he needed the transactions processed manually.  He also tried to claim some wins of other players accounts as his own.

I think you should also prove what you are telling. That's quite a skill of OP that your staff believe. I didn't see the threatening messages.

On the part of the JuanS2099. I think there is missing from his photos. Macaw seems to be helping all that you need in order to withdraw. So why you guys end up talking about ref link?

2406  Economy / Economics / Re: Your way of living the wage what you need to live normal life on: December 29, 2022, 12:39:47 PM
Instant paradise all around the world!  Grin

It does sound good actually if it's that easy to do. A business wouldn't hire someone if they are forced to pay a high rate just because he has the experience, it does have something to do with how much the business earns.

Wages vary in every country since we do have purchasing power parity differences. $3500 can be enough to live a decent life in Canada since your needs and commodities you buy don't travel from or somewhere else while in NY, you need $7000+ to survive because all things you need to live there have to travel far to reach NY.
2407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: withdrawing bitcoin - newbie - advice welcome on: December 29, 2022, 05:49:17 AM
Check out the local wallet in your country where you can trade your BTC for cash. Or you can use Binance and sell your BTC in p2p going to your bank account.

The way to do this is to sign up on binance and send your BTC from casino to your Binance account. You can find BTC deposit address in your Binance account.
2408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 29, 2022, 05:38:27 AM
To avoid, running after the loss, I have set up the responsible gambling in my account and it helps me a lot to control the bad beats against my will to recharge my account and ending up losing it all again.

I think many casinos don't have this feature because that'll prevent them from making money, casinos don't care if you lose all the money you have and turn an addict instead that's their wish for all their customers so they'll keep using their platforms and makings them wealthier. I haven't used the responsible gambling feature but I have personal strategy that helps me.

Firstly I only gamble with crypto currency and have a separate account where I keep funds for gambling. I use multiple platforms so I keep money on those platform just for that purpose. I don't deposit until I'm ready to use this specific platform for the week and when that money finishes I stop gambling for the week.

People lose more on poker than on sports betting. The nature of poker where you have to add more to the pot to keep the bluffs is scarier to think of because you lose already if you give up.  But if he loses more on sports then he must have put it all in which is more irresponsible for me.

Been betting on sports and just taking the safe bets through the odds given by bookmarkers made me win easily. Though  I'm not really betting huge amount but still a profitable way.
2409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 29, 2022, 04:03:46 AM

Armenia was trying to have big BTC mining farms in thier country, there were articles circulating with this information so what is stopping the gamblers from using BTC or any other crypto to offset balances from thier bank accounts?

I know tax is important for the government to stand but they are not going to make gamblers pay a lot more from thier hobby while they already have paid taxes from thier income. Because they will find ways.
2410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 28, 2022, 06:37:42 PM
None of the Metaverse projects had yet released thier full platform yet. The ones the I was trying were Dacentraland but this also is yet not.
Play2Earn could still come up in the next craze since there are many developers that are developing games.
And then Defi which some platforms are trying to develop new algo for stablecoin and I think Defi will still be attractive soon because even the CEX nowadays are still doing it like the staking.
Maybe that is the issue with the metaverse projects? I mean they can't really be ever over, because if you say "this is it" people will start to mock it and leave easily and the ones who are haven't entered yet will have a good reason not to enter at all. I have seen better graphics on single solo developer built games than what decentraland had, so it is quite possible that it would never take off.

I understand there are some "game" games, like NFT and metaverse all combined and people hope that you could live there in the game 12-15 hours a day and make enough tokens to sell and make a living like that. But to say that metaverse would be an alternative reality where you will live? You need better graphics for sure.

If it ever happens that metaverse will be the 2nd reality, we'd end up like those movies where everything is done by machines and we are all lazy sitting down fatting our asses. Decentraland however started pretty small like less than 5 cents when I tried buying. Pretty amazing how it got its ATH.

There is got to be something that will happen to break the fud that is going around against crypto which will also kick-start new projects in crypto.
The NEW peace arrangement with Ukraine and Russia is probably one. WAR NFTs are quite interesting to have.
2411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ultimate list of crypto Gambling sites that offers investment in the bankroll on: December 28, 2022, 04:34:56 PM
The list is already outdated, @OP need to update with the recent situation.

Bitexo seems to be rug pull project since I can't read anything except I need to create an account first/login.

Winkorg is already become a dead project since it's error when I want to open the apps.

Yolodice is already shutdown since 2-3 years ago.

I think new casinos like betfury, owlgames etc that has profit sharing feature could be add too, maybe I'm missed some casinos? kindly to mention it.

The thread about BFG, OWL and others was closed. I think Tymuss1983 had just revived this old one.

In this link, there are more than on the list on the first page that is new and somehow they still survived after all the massive dumps since last year. Its not yet over so not to get the hopes up but they still could rug pull when in the face of bankruptcy.
2412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: December 28, 2022, 01:12:53 PM
Breaking news...

Gervonta Davis was arrested hours ago as per report below which could have an effect on his upcoming fight this January 7. Though it was not clear if he was detained but certainly this "arrest" could have a negative impact on his fight with Hector Garcia.

Quote
Report: Gervonta Davis Arrested In Broward County, Florida; Awaits Hearing On Domestic Violence Charge

https://www.boxingscene.com/report-gervonta-davis-arrested-broward-county-florida-awaits-hearing-on-domestic-violence-charge--171446

Ouch, hopefully the fight will still push through next month though, but we are now close to the date of the actual fight and the hearing could be held around that time frame?

So most likely this fight is going to be push and if that happens then it might affect his fight with Ryan Garcia as well. So let's see what happen in the next couple of days for Tank Davis and it could have a negative impact on his mentally as well.

It would greatly affect his mentality when the deal discussion behind closed doors is just as worse as his bail bond. The thought of the mafia behind this is not too farfetched, right? He already has many legal issues before this domestic violence as said in the article.

The fight might actually be canceled. Many possibilities. He really has to win if the fight pushes or there could be worse deals.
2413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 28, 2022, 12:49:08 PM
The tricky situation with Khamzat is that he might throw something unexpected. And he will think that is normal to do that. I think that Khamzat is on a wrong hype train. He thinks that he is such a huge star, that Dana will let him free what ever he wants to do. How about missing weight and due that mixing whole card, just ti save an event? Be my guest. I did not hear that Khamzat faced any punishment for that.

Well! in today's MMA tournament you need to know how to sell your fight or you might even need to push your limits to promote it just like what happened to Mcgregor when he throws that chair and injured some people inside it but no one really cares because of how popular he is back then. And today, you have Khamzat who really wants to have a big fight to create a legacy in the UFC and I think he really needs to be fighting a really competent opponent in his next fight that could give him a real pain to beat because it's started to get boring nowadays when you only wins against your opponent via submission. I missed the old days when they really knockout their opponents due to some right-angle punches.

Khamzat's situation is that no one wants to fight him. Although I think Covington can defeat him, he might not risk fighting Khamzat. Usman would be good but he's also injured and the hype for a rematch against Edwards is already a running train that's more than likely to happen soon.

But it's true that Connor did a lot worse to make noise than Khamzat. Dana perhaps has more plans for him, if Khamzat is going to add more weight he'll be fighting a lot more than bulldozing those in the Welterweight.
2414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An BTC Assumption on: December 28, 2022, 12:30:29 PM

That's why we need to be very careful with our seed because even if we discover who the hacker is, there is less chance of getting it back. Exchanges got hacked never got the coins back. It's really going to be a hard start all over again for someone who lost his rainy-day stash which is a reason for separating some coins in other wallets and hiding them in another place.
2415  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 28, 2022, 11:59:26 AM
civilized states are helping Ukraine in this war.
The "civilized states" that is US in your opinion is also helping Saudi Arabia at the same time. In that case, Saudi Arabia, in order to seize the territory of Yemen and its resources, attacked Yemen, and Yemen defends itself and defends its independence. Entire cities have been destroyed, hundreds of thousands of civilians have died in the past 8 years of this bloody war. The one who helps the aggressor becomes the aggressor himself...

War is an industry. All countries can take advantage of war and they wouldn't mind losing face as long as they could make money out of it and defeat thier long-time enemy.

With the Ukraine-Russia war, Europe had not looked at the best decision to come up with this one. Driven by their hate for Putin I guess. They hurt themselves when it comes to supplies from Russia. In 10 months of the war, clearly even when Ukraine could hurt Russia, they are no match. The more they fight the more Ukraine land will they lose.
2416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 27, 2022, 01:45:31 PM
I think it's likely to be deFi and the Metaverse. well this may not be about the sale, but how we are interested in investing there in any way as long as the project being developed is related to the current trend I don't think it's bad to be part of one of the investors.
Yes I think so that investors at the present time will be most profitable defi projects are of very low quality and are positioned very low in the market. ethereum bnb coins have good trend to invest investing in these currencies is good and the probability of bad is very low.

None of the Metaverse projects had yet released thier full platform yet. The ones the I was trying were Dacentraland but this also is yet not.

2417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: December 27, 2022, 01:31:42 PM

you cannot be a trader if did not spend too much time for this area because Trading needs skills , time and effort and of course Knowledge that is very important in this part.
I must admit that for how many times that I tried to trade but losing is what I got so maybe better to understand this strongly before dealing with more money .

This is the real factor for a trader to understand. If you jump into trading then you will also jump

The courage to risks and embrace that the money you put into futures trading is considered a loss can be hard for someone. If I am just trading on EUR/USD, I can sure be able to limit the amount and consider them loss for like $500 and I play it all. But with BTC/USDT, I'm up to seeing that 0.03 BTC may be worth $500 even if I hold or trade on the spot market.

Only 5% are successful futures trade. They must be really good though.
2418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no cool games on: December 27, 2022, 01:14:07 PM
OP have clearly mentioned about the games that needs to be played for a long to master it. To master the game playing against other players it takes time and continued betting would slow down the gaming process. It is always good to spend on games like chess, if someone is interested into player vs player games.

Chess is more vulnerable to cheating. Hard to trust if we are against a real player on Chess online. The reason maybe we can't find such games on gambling site platforms currently. The same goes for PvP games like OP is referring to.

Casino games don't cover the PvP games. It's not even a considered innovation for usual casinos to add that games. There are already lots of casino games that users can enjoy compared to risking money on skilled games like that.

PVP games like that mostly can be found in tournaments. OP can try looking at that if there's available, and participate there instead.

I am a Chess player and I cannot deny that it is one of the games that I am most passionate about, when I play on any platform it is incredible but I lose more and more, I don't know if I am facing an AI or who knows what, because the Movements are very fast and really these things can sometimes be confusing, I have some idea of saying it because if it is not, then I have faced pure masters, but I doubt it, however, chess in a casino would be something very interesting, I would like to see it and see how they can silver it, I think it is a very good option for some players who are looking for this type of entertainment.

It would be an interesting thing if casinos will add more skill-based games on their platform, however, it is highly unlikely to happen especially for current gambling platforms right now. Most of the casinos have on their platform games that most based-on luck and then outsource these games to certain providers. I doubt that they'll shift on or even add new games that are based on skills such as PVP games and Chess.

There are a lot of aspects that need to be checked at for these games to be viable to be considered as gambling games such as the mechanics and how they'll be able to avoid cheats like AI or advance bots that will be playing the games. I heard that there are a lot of common bots used in chess and some exploits in PVP games. Also, most PVP has different characters where one can be too OP once a player gets used to it. If OP, really want to bet his money and gamble on these types of games, he can just go to some conventions and tournaments where they can bet on the game.

I tried googling whether there is a bot for Tekken. Yep, there are. The game supposes to be fun back in 2000, I was playing this game on PS.
Are casinos not able to recognize it when a user is using a bot to fight another player?

With Chess, a person who had been playing Chess even on the app will see how fast a bot will respond to every move you make. AI has it already pre-programmed whichever you chose to move.
2419  Other / Meta / Re: Careless copying of forum links redirects you to Binance on: December 27, 2022, 11:48:27 AM

Should it be reported? Its owner clearly takes advantage of people's accidently copying incomplete links....
I don't think it's something you should report. There are a lot of people taking such advantages. People use this trick for popular casino too. Beside, in google ads, most of the first page result with ads are actually a redirect to the referral link.
If the redirected site was malicious, that was something you could be concerned. Anyway, I doubt the guy is getting a lot of sign up from the referrals by applying this trick lol.

There's nothing the forum can do about it (other than have a lawyer threaten the domain owner with legal action, as large corporations often do).
There's a chance that a few people who got tricked by this, may think bitcointalk is redirected to binance. can't imagine theymos doing this ever lol.

If he DMs the link to social media I guess he can benefit ion referring users to binance as it's his goal in registering this domain. Probably sending the link to telegram users too and he could easily say he misspelled it.

But obviously, even without these DMs, he does have the intention to use the domain to redirect users to his binance ref link.
This is not far from the situation of registering bitcointalk.xyz and sending visitors to binance ref.
2420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 27, 2022, 11:29:03 AM
Chimaev seems to be ready for anyone and even said he would fight Pereira for a title, take it, and then go down to welterweight for Covington if Dana White will pursue that kind of path.
The date was said to be in March, and Covington had not fought for 9 months, it will be a year of rest in March 2023. So I think he will be the one Chimaev will face.
In UFC 284 Chimaev will fight with Volkanovski in lightweight division, so Chimaev is risk his title right? which mean if Volkanovski win, he will get lightweight title, if he lose he wouldn't lose anything? also does Volkanovski lost his belt since he's lower his division? I'm not quite understand about this matter.

It looks like, there's will be a lower champion will fight with higher champion due to lack of tough fighter.

Covington might have to fight someone else first before taking his risk against Chimaev. Volk vs Islam is really one of the best matchup they can do after all both of these fighters have gained thier way up with a number of winning streaks.

Dana will soon provide good matches for everyone to enjoy in UFC before the Ali Act extension to MMA takes place as they introduced a new regulatory body World Fighting Federation (WFF) and then DANA might be forced to pay an astonishing amount of money to his fighters.
