- then he has been fighting with bter for like 2 days (they simply wont credit his only NXT coin he has so far). but don't be afraid, any time soon he'll find out that the minimum transaction fee is one NXT therefore bter wont do anything with his coin.

Serious questions to FrictionlessCoin:
a) In case that Nxt will not struggle and the NXT-coin holders are donīt gonna loose anything or be victims (please clarify "victims")... so, than what will happen with the funds you have collected and received to you Nxt-account already? And additional... whatīs the timeframe (please determine)?
b) Will you give the collected "charity" funds into hands of an escrow service?
c) Whatīs your refund plan if NEX never be launched? Do you will refund with additional interest?
d) Will you benefit from an active forging with the collected NXT? Also here, in case of c)... will you divide and payout the forged NXT with the refund?
I think you need to check the Nxt to NEX exchange thread to correct your facts. The Nxt to NEX exchange is a reservation to exchange coins when the NEX implementation is made available. So with that in mind. (a) I do not know when Nxt will crash, but that is just my expectations. I cannot know with precision what the time frame will be. But it could be tomorrow or it could be a year from now. All I know is the source code is vulnerable. (b) The Nxt to NEX contributions go to the development fund of NEX. This has been stated before. (c) There is no need for a refund, because as stated earlier, there is no exchange unless NEX is launched. In fact, all IPO should be like this. Nobody should have to buy before a coin is launched. (c) As stated before, the Nxt that will be acquired will be sold as soon as possible on the BTER exchange. There is no motivation to hold Nxt. Nxt investors actually made your project possible though. if BcNext would have not received the 21 btc he asked for he would have never released the (old) source code. that source code may be poor (it was still alpha basically)...but it is an inspiration and outlines the 100% Pos. if that source code wasn't made available you would still be doing bitcoin PoW clones....like you was doing till not long ago. for the sake of fairness must be noted.

Vlad, I love the SmartMoney angle and it's obvious that's where digital money is gonna be very soon.
So why don't we really start pushing iXcoin as the first SmartMoney in an attempt to be the official SmartMoney out there.
For that to be legit we need Friction to add something to the code, like colored coins, but much more simple to implement as soon as possible. Cause 3 months is too long and I think someone else is gonna see this and run with it and we'll be the metoo coin which really sucks.
Let's make sure we do the press release right. It's not like we have a ton of development coin funding. Press releases should be only once every 3-6 months. Too many, dilutes the message. So if you need to, try to cram in as much as you can. Also, we have to choose out battles. We can't play the popularity contest against the likes of DOGE. So time tested, mature is the current angle we have. Hope this brings in the smart money. Truth is, we got two main competitors NMC and DVC. Both have flaws: NMC - Really resting on their laurels, these folks really don't make an effort to push their cause. DVC - These folks are active. They've already sent out their press release. Consult it for ideas. The problem I see with it is that 90% of all mined coins go to contributors and currently the way it is distributed doesn't have much structure. So people who are investing will demand higher accountability. |

Thanks for trying it, sorry you didn't wait for Transparent Forging, it's where we are heading, and everyone will have an equal change to forge Nxt.
Who's to say I won't come back - it has promise but for now the fact that you need to keep throwing money into your fund just to forge and have to keep throwing more money into your wallet to compete with other who have more forging power (coins) than you, doesn't appeal. Equal opportunity for forging would appeal. Did I understand forging correctly? No new coins are created, all you get are the transaction fees. Is that correct? |

Well there you go... a good logo is 90% of the battle.  And getting Max Keiser (and Bill Still after giving him some for free) to pump your coin is 99% of the battle. Very impressive execution by the Quark folks. That was one hell of a pump and dump. Indeed it was. Quark might have some aftershocks left, after the Moon and DOGE pump, dump and crash is over - it'll be left in the dust with the 'me too' clones eventually though. There are a ton of these 'me too' coins, its going to be driven by fads. I kind of focus more on the underlying technology. That's why I missed out on DOGE. It was a screaming buy a couple days ago, all the signs were saying so. |
