2421  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Scam Alert] Beware of Airdrops that will drain tokens out of your address. on: August 05, 2021, 06:02:29 AM

I checked my metamask wallet and found many tokens that I had never seen before. They usually exist as integers and are of high value. I don't know what they are. I'm curious

Damn, you can retire, sipping a glass of martini with those values.

Jokes aside, if you don't join airdrops or sign up for those things, ignoring them is the best option.

What's with all the Busta- prefixes nowadays? Recently there's BNB and now this.

Hope we don't see a Bustanut this time around Grin
2423  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NetEnt release 🔥 NFT Battles |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: August 05, 2021, 05:38:47 AM
^ I wouldn't be confident about that. They need to get the required volume first before attempting Binance or Kucoin but how can they do that when they cannot even add liquidity to Pancakeswap which is a very popular AMM? I doubt a Hotbit listing can sustain an increase in volume.

Hotbit would have to upgrade their servers then. Usually these kind of things are common so surely they have to learn from past mistakes.
2424  Other / Meta / Re: Do you disable notifications (in a topic) after a certain period of time? on: August 04, 2021, 05:49:24 PM

Since I started becoming active on multiple forums again, a second monitor has been totally necessary. Working on a single screen has simply been a huge huge struggle that I'd might as well call it a disability.

Thankfully, since all I did since the pandemic was to sit in front of my computer and work anyway, I finally convinced myself to invest in a 34" monitor!

I totally dread the day that I'd finally need a 3rd screen.

Same here. CTRL+TAB just feels out of place. Nothing beats gaming on a monitor while reading the forums on another.

Well, monitors are pretty affordable these days. I'd say go for it if you have the extra cash to spend Wink
2425  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NetEnt release 🔥 NFT Battles |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: August 04, 2021, 05:44:51 PM

Hotbit is One of the worst ones though, full of faked volume. I am kinda disappointed that they didn't get in anywhere else. I see hotbit doing more harm then good. Just a pancakeswap would have been enough imho. You don't need CEX these days anyway.

Do they still fake them volumes? I read the article dated 2 years ago that one guy made good money doing this on a few exchanges including Hotbit.
2426  Other / Meta / Re: Do you disable notifications (in a topic) after a certain period of time? on: August 04, 2021, 04:55:29 PM

And yea, my "forum browser" always has like 15 tabs open.  Lips sealed

Man of culture I see. That's why getting a second/ third monitor is a bread and butter to most of us :p
2427  Other / Meta / Re: Google partial blackholing of Bitcointalk? on: August 04, 2021, 04:36:59 PM
Starting today on August 3rd google is again allowing crypto and bitcoin advertisement so my speculation is that this may also have a positive effect on bitcointalk forum.
This only applies for US customers for now, and works only for products like crypto exchanges and wallets that are registered with FinCEN or a federal/state chartered bank.
I am not sure if this applies on forums like bitcointalk but we can monitor situation and see if something changes in next few weeks.

I doubt this forum would be affected since it's not offering any services that's under Google's scrutiny such as licensed exchanges.

I'd post in it but I wouldn't want to bump very old threads with no activity. Thank you for the link though.

You're welcome.

Well, both sites are managed by wetsuit/ Quin so you could always submit your details through the form and they'll look into things Smiley

You can withdraw your Dogecoin balance to your wallet or ask for it to be converted to BTC and credited to your FreeBitco.in account.

If you had a balance in your account, fill in the redemption form at https://forms.gle/fmH7aTDmBYnj89DK9 for us to process your withdrawal.

Please note that we can only process withdrawals of 100 DOGE or higher. For lower balances, you may ask us to convert your DOGE to BTC and credit it to your FreeBitco.in account.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
2429  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Whitelist / Additional text label. on: August 04, 2021, 01:05:57 PM

Wait, they changed this? Lame. That's like one of the actual Easter eggs about the forum. I mean, given the sheer amount of threads created in meta about it over the years, I could see it being removed just due to this.

You removing your posts seems like your inefficiency. Should have combined them with edits instead. Even more so when others quote you Smiley

IINM, they still have this. When my post count hit that way back in December 2019, it showed Leet.

There's a Doge thread? I'll try and look, thanks. I'm not linked to spam but I made an account purely for the purpose here. I've used Bitcoin for years, just never had a chance to register an account on bitcointalk. Thanks.

Apparently there is, albeit just spanning 3 pages.

I remembered seeing a similar thread some time back... not sure who created that.

Because that one had yahoo answering (when he is known to impose that rule).

I went into livechat some time ago and the farming will stop after 1 month. Depending on the success, they will probably redo it in the near future.

Great to see that Betfury can now also be traded on Hotbit, it is a step in the good direction. Lets hope that some more popular exchanges will also accept soon BFG tokens.

That means we have to move our tokens away from their farming page once it ends? What a bummer
2434  Other / Meta / Re: Animated Avatar on: August 03, 2021, 08:31:05 AM

Animated avatar like the one is worn by Vod is not annoying. It is slow and friendly enough. You even don't realize it is an animated avatar if you don't look at it for a few seconds.

Wait, what?

I always thought his avatar was non-animated. After all, it shows Peter licking his boob to begin with Grin

From the error, it's pretty clear that either your card or bank account has reached its spending limit.

Give them a call to find out.

I'm not from Africa, but I've purchased stuffs off AliExpress before and credit cards work fine.

What error are you seeing?

It's a pity that I can't post pictures.

I don’t think Biance’s long needle removed the position unless someone buy futures position at 48,000.

A little late, but you can do so now since you're now a Junior Member Smiley

1xbit has a million of dollars to spend for their site popularity campaign and sites like  this seems to be a paid team to promote even without looking deeper of what company ther are promoting as long as the team is willing to pay for their charges.

Imagine getting paid over $100 per week on a scammy signature campaign, no doubt it's tempting for many to join despite having their own names dragged through the mud. In many third-world countries, that's more than their monthly wages.
