2421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 14, 2022, 09:25:50 AM
I think this depends on the casinos. We have some that make balance available to users with dynamic while some are static. For example, I once funds my Glamber account and my balance was shown in USD, it was converted back to BTC and LTC the time I was ready to withdraw my balance. However, I have not deposited anything to Blackjack/fun before but with my experience as one time signature participants, we were paid in bitcoin to our respective accounts and our balance was declining as bitcoin price was going down.
So, I think this is dependent on the type of gambling platform you decide to play with, and seeing gambler account fluctuating to volatility of Bitcoin is not a good idea in my opinion.
2422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: June 12, 2022, 02:08:10 PM
I will not mention any particular gambling casinos, but what are your thought if the casino or casinos with good feedback from the community, but with one unresolved scam accusation but from all angles, the accusation is legit with all the screenshots, transaction hash email conversation are provided by the complainant lets say he is not allowed to withdraw his earnings amounting to $100k but from all angles the accusation is valid, don't you think with thousand good feedback, its enough for the casino to lose his reputation with one legit accusation.

A scam attempt is a theft, you don't take what is not yours, you should give Ceaser what is his. A single scam attempt is enough to destroy the years of reputation you have built, so if you scam and there is evidence labelled against you, that's the beginning of your trust failure from customers and the community.
Why should a company jeopardize its reputation when they stand to earn a lot from the trust they have built over time? There is nothing positive about scams, just look at 1xbit company and how worthless they have become on the forum, everyone fears them, including their banner.
2423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 11, 2022, 05:23:57 PM
Benzema is a striker who is patient with problems both on and off the pitch and is also a person who is not selfish, restrains his ego which not all players can and has a winning mentality. like when he was duet with ronaldo, really patient must not shine at that time.

Do you think so? Benzema is really cool but he gets frustrated when his teammates are not doing well on the pitch, this reminds me of when he said other defenders should not pass  ball to Vinicius some years ago and later apologized for the comment, other players like Messi and Ronaldo also has that angry altitude, maybe most stars in football do too because people always expect much from them, Ronaldo smashed a kid phone when they lost their match against Everton.
I don't think Benzema will leave Real Madrid anytime soon, the way things are going, he'll be on a long-term deal.
2424  Economy / Gambling / Re: TRUSTDICE.WIN SCAM AND DIDNT LET ME WITHDRAW on: June 11, 2022, 09:56:14 AM
they offer me a no depo bonus worth of 25 bucks, thats why i created an account and the sad thin about it is that i won, then after that i deposited an amount worth of 14.9 EOS, i lose all of my deposit, then i try to withdraw an amount of 0.0042 bitcoin, then support says come back after 24 hours, then 24 hours later i came back, asking whats the update on my withdraw because it hasnt change at all it still under being review, then the CS say again it will be 48 hours, lol they must be up on something  after that fast forward  they blockdd my account and didnt receive any of my winnings they just let me deposit and lose what i gave them. im planning to report them on askgamblers .

I hope you read the terms and conditions before making that deposit, each promotion comes with a condition attached to them, I don't know how accurate your allegations are against them but you can open a discussion with them in their official thread >>HERE<<
In addition, when it comes to bonus, you have to be careful because nothing is really free, you have to meet their requirement before you can withdraw such winnings like reaching a minimum after playing using the bonus that was given to you.
2425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC goes below 30k after US inflation rate reports on: June 11, 2022, 09:46:38 AM
I don't see any connection with inflation. High inflation should actually pump bitcoin because your fiat money is losing value so it's much better to buy something while you can.

This is not always like that mate, theoretically, it is supposed to be going up but Bitcoin is an investment to many people and due to inflation and the rise in the price of everything, it affects short-term traders, when they all withdraw their money to have some cash, the market tumble and then panic follow, that's the case of bitcoin and other stock markets. The CPI seen has never happened before, so we will see these little market shakes and waves before it goes up.
2426  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name Vs Site Functionality? Or Both? on: June 11, 2022, 09:35:20 AM
Would you rather have a Casino where people play, complain, and worry about withdrawals lingering than a brand that provides 500% on the first deposit? If you create a great reputation with cool functionality, your brand name will naturally come with a pinch of marketing because, no matter what other gambling platforms promise to give, players will always want to remain with yours.
You should have good functionalities like:
- Quick response from Customer support and tickets.
- Withdrawals should be very fast for chains that are very instant.
- Be fair in every game and slot and so on.
2427  Economy / Economics / Re: Food crisis coming? What's wrong about it? It could be good on: June 11, 2022, 09:21:55 AM
Economic crises and food crises have occurred in many countries, poor countries are experiencing difficulties that do not seem to end, world policies that only accept a few currencies such as the USD or EURO make it difficult for poor countries to meet and rely on debt, and this is a worrying thing in the future.

It is not about world policies, during this kind of crisis, money doesn't have the quality to maintain its standard, food becomes the utmost priority for people and hence high inflation kick in because people fight to pay for the limited food resources that will sustain them before the new season of farming. When this happens, other countries put their citizens first. they make sure they all have to satisfaction before they consider other countries, you see that money wouldn't be the big thing buy food.
2428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: June 11, 2022, 09:11:16 AM
With covid came the need for online activities and the gambling industry has witnessed high patronage this period with new casinos popping up now and then, most of them are already doing well in terms of customer service and gaining trust from the community.

Physical casinos are witnessing low patronage a this is as a result of the pandemic and seat-at-home order, we are going to see more of these trends as time goes on.

Not just that, crypto has bridged so many difficulties in funding online casinos and the fact that most of them don't require KYC makes it easy for players to move around funds without any problems. You can swiftly deposit BTC, LTC, ETH and other popular coins to any Casino without first converting them to Fiat and the same goes for withdrawals without converting from Fiat to Cryptos.
Physical Bookmakers are almost back to normal activities and I also think that most countries have removed restrictions on the movement just that the above merits are winning over them.

Investment is a game of knowledge the less you know the less the pay the more you know the more the pay.
This sentence indirectly saying, if you only know Bitcoin, you will earn less money, but if you learn more about shitcoins, you will earn more of the pump and dump scheme.

There's no relation between knowledge and the money you can earn through investing. Knowledge is needed to make you understand before start invest and it's for long term. If you're aiming shitcoins, it's a trading or gambling.

That sentence is a wisdom phrase, you even need the wisdom to decode the message OP is passing to everyone. If today we know the in-depth knowledge of bitcoin and its intrinsic property, there wouldn't be shitcoins on market cap, believe me, when I say this, it is the lack of knowledge they suffer from that's why you see them shouting Buy Shiba, Buy doge, Buy baby $h*t, and somebody will just use his paycheck to buy the nonsense tokens and think they have invested in the right projects.  Undecided
2430  Other / Beginners & Help / How to receive Bitcoin on Twitter with Bitcoin Tip and other options on: June 10, 2022, 03:10:16 PM
Late last year, Twitter announced that they will be introducing a tip on Twitter beta to allow everyone to receive payment on Twitter using the strike APP, however, it was not available in all locations and also as a custodial wallet, it did not go well for people. Twitter has now enabled the ability to receive bitcoin using an address for which you have the private key (third party addresses), there is no commission or cost for using this service. Any of your followers and friends from Twitter space can send you bitcoin at any moment by copying the address from your profile's Tip icon, the address is yours, and you have complete control over the private key to that wallet address.

To use bitcoin tip, you need to set up the wallet address you want to be receiving your payment. To enable Bitcoin Tip, go to your profile:

Click on Edit profile >>>>  Select the Tip right below on your screen >>>> Enter your bitcoin address where you want your payments to be received, and save it.

Then, toggle Allow Tips to make the Icon visible on your profile, and you're set to go. Anyone who clicks on that symbol and copies the wallet address can now send you bitcoin.

View of My profile before I enable TIP feature

This is the view before the Bitcoin Tip was enabled.

View of My profile when I enable Tip feature

The view after the Bitcoin Tip is enabled, when you see the money Icon on Twitter profiles, it means they have the ability to receive money and you may tip them if you like.
Other options for receiving money on Twitter include Ethereum, Chipper, Patreon, Paga, and Barter. Apart from Ethereum, these are third-party remittance, there are risks associated with receiving money from centralized platforms, we have witnessed donations seized by these companies, I don't encourage anyone to try them.

Observations
==========
- You can insert any type of Bitcoin address to receive payment and it has a way to detect some characters that are not related to bitcoin address, so when you insert wrong characters, it will return "Invalid character. Please try again"
- Bitcoin Tip is only available on IOS and Android, the web version is not available for now.
2431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 09, 2022, 09:38:56 PM
Benzema has stolen the show this season in the Champions League. It is also admirable that Real Madrid has escaped a few times from a hopeless position. In fact, Real Madrid is also the only team entitled to the championship. If you take out PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all, then you are the very best. The final was not spectacular, but that will make little difference in Madrid. It is striking how much Real Madrid has won the CL in the last 10 years, compared to Barcelona not once.

Messi was on the verge of breaking that record again before leaving for PSG, the last time they fought to the final was in 2015, and Bayern gave them a sleek battle, ever since then, it has been either they get disqualified in a group of 16, quarter final, and semi final, that final has been difficult recently, and now that the Mighty Messi is gone, who knows when they will do that again.
Real Madrid was made for the Champions League, they have this Penchant for these kind of trophies, and if you look at how they display them in their showroom, you'd think they're the organizers of the championship.
2432  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey are funding a free Bitcoin education program in the US on: June 09, 2022, 09:17:09 PM
Due to the belief that Bitcoin is a get quick rich scheme in some quarters, some Bitcoiners have been very skeptical to introduce it to some friends and colleagues.

This isn't the case as you put it, Bitcoin is not a quick rich scheme and to prove that, ask anyone who bought BTC at $50k and $60k, and they will tell you ʌðəwʌɪz (otherwise) but when you ask those who bought 3-4 years ago will tell you it is profitable and not quick, 4 years of holding bitcoin would feel like 10 years in real life. Quick rich investments are often tagged as Ponzi, bitcoin is far from that class.

I think JayZ is trying to educate and elevate his homies from where he grew up, this is a welcome development and I hope they teach the student in compliance with the bitcoin community standards.
2433  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Reasons I Trust Binance for my Crypto Storage on: June 09, 2022, 08:58:47 PM
The day I registered my binance account I had to properly give adequate credentials before I was verified this goes a long way to show that binance is very safe... Also measures they put in place to checkmate hacking or failed fund transfer is top notch

I laugh in ignorance because you are making a mistake that you may wish to revert one day and by that time, it may be too late. I hope you have seen the allegation label on Binance, they have been fighting for the past 3 days with SEC, I can't say about BNB been sold as a security but for SEC to say they have processed illicit transactions and are not fit enough for standard KYC demonstrates that SEC is really interested in every document users provide on Binance, I don't see reasons why they would say that Binance has a weak KYC system, they want you all to submit every detail you have, I hope you will be ready to provide more information when they request for more document MR/MRS Binance Ambassador.
2434  Economy / Economics / Re: Food crisis coming? What's wrong about it? It could be good on: June 09, 2022, 05:26:37 PM
In our country, I think we're far from the food crisis. The supply of primary goods here is continuous and I couldn't see any problem with it so far. If it will be a global crisis, I believe that countries will still unite to support each other just like what happened before. Our country experienced famine years ago and lots of countries have provided us with food supplies. I'm sure that the same thing would happen in the future.

This is why the United Nations exists for certain reasons, we have been brothers since our forefather's time when technology was limited, but we have divided ourselves via conflict. During the crises, neighbouring countries do help each other by providing food and other necessities that they lack, this has also strengthened the country's unity.
Around 2005, the Nigerian President sent food to the northern part of Africa, that were experiencing drought at the time, this gesture has increased our relationship today and also increased import and export trades.

2435  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Central Bank Digital Currencies Kill Cryptocurrencies ? on: June 09, 2022, 04:52:14 PM
Okay apart from the text I got some thoughts, if the government claims that CBDC can kill the decentralized cryptocurrencies literally means that those decentralized cryptocurrencies are killing the existence of fiat money?

If yes then CBDC are not much different from the fiat money then these bitcoin and ethereum can kill the CBDCs as well in future.

Crypto is killing fiat in a such a way that it has made many of us realize how useless they are, they made us believe to save our fiat with shitty fiat interest rates instead of encouraging us to keep the good investment and likewise Crypto is not killing fiat because the two are different things which sometimes depends on each other. For example, you need fiat to switch between portals of fiat and cryptocurrency and vice versa.
CBDC is nothing different from Fiat we see every day, one is physical and the other is recorded on the blockchain ledger, it is not close to stable coins on market cap, they are insignificant where crypto exists.

This topic reminded me of some of the highlights I discussed in one of my threads on the installation of a cracked version of software and freebies on a laptop. You don't know the safety of the new version of the program you are installing on your laptop, and you have no way of knowing whether the software you downloaded is secure.

The internet is open to everyone, and you never know if the guys you think are helping you are actually trying to steal something from your computer. Google is not immune to these acts, they may not intend to steal from you, but they are often very careless, they are so wealthy now that they don't verify when someone wants to advertise on their platforms, even Elon was complaining about how Youtube has become so cluttered with scammers and trojan of channels.
2437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the rescue again on: June 09, 2022, 03:55:19 PM
So.. this Gaius dude pretty much managed to "open the eyes" (a.k.a. bribe) the presidential candidate with $16.8k. Yea lol, that's one hell of a presidential candidate if he flipped his opinions with that amount.

More like "Sir, this is my $16.8k bitcoin I scam from gullible citizens who invested on my shitty ideas and today I was able to rug pull their investment as mine, please consider me as one of the candidates in your cabinet when you emerge as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
I dislike when politics and investment align because you never know when they will change their minds or whether what they have allowed will be revoked later, this is the current position of bitcoin in Nigeria.  Chibueze is a con artist who ends up putting money into a politician's wallet, this is not adoption but stupid solidarity.
2438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: June 09, 2022, 12:14:45 AM
I’m not sure there can or will ever exist a safe haven. Especially if we’re talking about currencies. You can even call the dollar or euro pretty stable, but considering how any crypto, especially bitcoin, is a rollercoaster and quite often follows the stocks, bitcoin is definitely not a safe haven.

I think is safe haven is more subjective, the guy who has gold for the past decades in a very cheap state would choose gold over other currencies and store of value, those who were able to buy bitcoin when it was below $10 would be more than happy to called it the fathers of safe haven. I have friends from my location who have been doing Bureau D change for several years who happen to buy dollars when the country was not depending on it for importation but things have changed, the government has been strict about making dollars available for citizens to discourage people from importation and people still need it and the value today has increased more than 3X, they are doing well in that aspect as a safe heaven.

Buy bitcoin, you will enjoy it tomorrow if hold it for long term.
2439  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin can solve poverty on: June 09, 2022, 12:01:57 AM
Correct, and this is not a theory that we are formulating on our own, this is a historical fact, we have seen this scenario many times in which a government for some reason or another begins to increase the money supply to the point inflation goes out of control.

And things get so bad the only way they see for solving the problem is to keep printing money, but this is only a temporary solution as we know that the more money is printed the more inflation grows, and it gets to the point in which no one wants to hold fiat and some even begin to use barter as a way to exchange among them for goods and services.
I think nothing can solve the poverty issue - the countries which have developed have progressed - those which are left behind will remain behind.
In our country there are so many issues - people are tired and sick of inflation. One thing ends and a new issue is standing with open arms. I see not end to  poverty.

There is one beauty ( scam I mean) of being a government, you can print as much as more quantity of fiat out of thin air and when you spend them, it continues to depreciate the value of that country and the most interesting about this is that the citizens are very well aware of this but would panic and shout that there is inflation when they already know where the problems emerge, the central banks know that this the main problem of inflation but they will close eyes and put the blames over small factors that contribute to inflation.
Increasing a supply of currency wouldn't do it good in the long term, only when it is deflationary that is why Satoshi made Bitcoin with a simple supply system that will never cross above 21m.
2440  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest everything looking bearish on: June 08, 2022, 11:48:59 PM
You're saying you chose your job to diversify your portfolio? Not judging, genuinely curious. If so, was this a career change or something you had your head set on when you got out of college?

There is a lot happening right now, the sentiment of the market, in general, is not favourable for everyone and now it will be difficult to pump bitcoin price, so the OP was merely making a suggestion that since the inflation has dipped us and the federal reserve has increased the interest rate and with their effort to stabilize the economy (in their own quotation of building good economy though) by printing more money, if possible we can alternatively pump a project instead of relying on Bitcoin that is correlated to stocks.
I don't think whales are even ready to push the market the way it is now, many of them are just waiting to see a signal from the FED before they restore their confidence in bitcoin and other markets.
