7 cents <=> 5€ + exchange fees Sounds not so bad to me. Which ones? Why not? There are people double checking everything and insuring against bugs. Thats why you can't compare those. Also the fees of real exchanges happen when the trade occurs. This means I could change an order 1000 times if I want until I am statiesfied. |

The statement just reflects the basis for the decision.  I am not saying I am satisfied either.  But about the order: you have to pay for trade, in Nxt you pay for the order. I think it is zero-sum. But what is the reason to make it as expensive? I thought about it alot. Can't think of reasons... Continuous change would fork the network. Because 3.5 cents are really cheap.  If I had to pay 3.5 cent for a sms, I'd quit my cellphone contract. Yes, It maybe cheap compared to banking. But compared to how cheap it could be... its not good. I don't want to pay 4cent every time i adjust an order. That is not fair. Even brokers make that for free.. |

My data is fully sync'd and I could upload it. I'm just worried it might carry personal information such as seed, transaction history, computer info etc or anything like that. Can anyone confirm it won't have any traces of personal info and just bulk blockchain?

If the talk in this thread continues to move around the price only, this will go down sooner or later.
NXT had mostly technical discussions from some very talented people. Marketing came later on.
All I see here are exchanges and price... not much to distinguish this one from the myriads of other coins out there.

We've been working hard, but we want to take a moment to give a quick update.
First, we want everyone to know that we will use every Chancecoin or Bitcoin sent to 1BckY64TE6VrjVcGMizYBE7gt22axnq6CM to help promote the coin. 50 CHA went to Poloniex (to be used primarily for testing), and 25 CHA went to Ellie from bitbillions.net. We'll open the floor to the community to decide how they should be spent, but we thought we'd get the ball rolling with these first two spends.
We will be releasing a new client on Saturday, May 24. The biggest change is a complete overhaul of the transaction system that will solve many of the problems we've been hearing about. We've also managed to effectively lower the transaction fee to just the standard 0.0001 Bitcoin fee. We'll have more information about that soon.

If you are considering seconde generation coin, you should definitely investigate Monero and the Cryptonote technology. I will not comment much on it because I am part of the dev team, so just read the OP, read some comments and investigate I have so much catching up to do! I am currently writing the detailed ratings of the listed coins. This alone will take some days(1-2 weeks maybe even). After this is done, I will look at new coins. nothing, because multipools are quite useless. But do what you have to do Hm, lots of people were pretty excited about it, here and in Nxt thread. What makes you think so? I don't know much about it but it looks like a good idea, to let miners possibility to 'mine' POS coin. There is no economical reason why it would be preferable. People can just use a cheaper pool and then buy qora if they want to support it. The people mining on blackcoinpool lost so much money compared to mining another pool. |
