I cannot get BTC-E working at the moment, I just get connection timed out, anyone else getting the same problem?
yes the same here...

What do "profitability" stands for (or how it is calculated)?
I would like to know that too.. which parameters are there calculated (actual price, etc.)

...annnnd it's paid for itself, USD-wise. 33 BTC earned in just 91 hours. on which lucky pool you are?

Here's my story, you be the judge.
I invested about $50 (was new to BTC at the time) into coins in early Fall ( around $6/each IIRC ). Bought 80 shares of ASICMINER at 0.1BTC.
Now: 80 Shares are valued at 60BTC (say 0.75BTC Each). I have earned about 5BTC in Dividends - about 1.7BTC a week
Total: 65 BTC from a 8 BTC Investment
1 BTC = $47USD 65 BTC = $3055USD
And $80/week dividends ($240/month). Not huge. But it pays my alcoholism (I'm joking).
These numbers/dates aren't accurate. I should have kept a log... but I didn't.
ROI...

Had to power-cycle the miner at uptime 1 day, 21 hours. cgminer was responding, but no mining work was going upstream to the pool. The 'hardware errors' count was increasing rapidly.
now here was nearly the same -> had to manually restart the machine, no connection to the machine possible... (in which log can I see whats happen? are logs stored after reboot?)

Yes the BTC difficulty goes up.. but who cares when the profit stays the same? I am on about 4~ 4.5 Gh per day, earning .5 BTC per day from old equipment.
If ASIC is real, shouldn't that have dropped to .4 or .3 or even less?
on which pool do you mine?
|
|
|
is there somewhere a Linux version? TIA
|
|
|
Cgminer Status > Pools, is empty.
so you got yours
|
|
|
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -u workername -p password --scrypt
why do I have only 50.0Kh/s with a 5870 with this command? (with BTC = 400Mh/s) I think it should be more...

Cloudfare may be preventing DDOS attacks but they are also preventing people from legitimately using the site. A trading site cannot function if people can't trade.
for me the same; - cannot reach the site

From observation, it appears to be the maximum temperature seen (all time record). isn`t this too high? what was your highest?
