why is this topic even discussed here, how stupid are you?
who me? this is important to speculators..... All of you, uh and everything is "important to speculators", and there is some tolerance to this practise, but... The stupidity is more debating a technical subject with and along with non-technical minded people. This is partly mtgox's fault for the way they published the issue, we're all adults here, or at least pretend so... what are you on about? the way they published it is all part of the subject, we are studying sentiment, manipulation, fundamentals, etc...... this is what they said.... that is a fact, and it is important.

Rpietilas call for a revisiting of the trendline during February/March is looking more and more probable. Whatever you might think about his online persona, or his trading abilities, you have to give him credit for sticking with his call even though he was heavily ridiculed for it at first.
I wonder if the pattern of repeating previous price movements on a compressed time-scale with lower ups and downs will hold and we will see a slow grind into the 400 - 500$ area over the next month or so, before finally capitulating.
I'm really enjoying this bear market. I'm not day tarding, not even firing very much fiat at it. But whereas during the last bear market all I heard from my friends was "haha I told you so Bitcoin is useless", now I see them buying their first coins, because they find the current prices much more acceptable than the heights of december.
do you happen to be watching the charts now? what do you think about this bounce? pretty good? will it last? seems threatening. not sure I have the guts to hold shotr.

Amazing how all these crazy events and buying opportunities happen the day i was knocked out on my bed because of a flu Anyways, i think Bitcoin crashing to $102 in BTCe is a NON-EVENT, as in it doesn't count. That's because it happened due to 1. Error by a large seller, 2. Software bug on BTCe platform triggered this crash and corrected it immediately. Not that many people got to buy, those who got lucky well good for you, you made a good profit ! These errors happen sometimes, even in stock markets (i've personally seen it once in a project i've worked on). Usually in regulated markets, trades would be reversed in such incident. I think it has affected the market, rational or not. there is hellish volatility at the moment, and it seems like the bulls have their foot in the door.

Looks like somebody made an expensive typo.
But thanks for filling my $275 buy order. Never expected to see that happen.
nice one ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) took mine down ten minutes before the spike....... lol the logic being, I dont want these orders to be filled if the reaction is that bad...... but silly me, what would I do with the fiat anyway, im in NZ.

Where are those $400 coins?? I am getting really tired of waiting.
they coming, can you smell them now!? Im gonna lose a lot of good sleep waiting for $400 coins tonight......

Seems to have stabilized around $625ish over the last hour or two. Thoughts on if this will stay or possibly take another dip?
Before the crazy news and spike disrupted everything, I thought upper 500s, or low 600s would be a reasonable target for tonight. It all depends on how the Americans react, I dont know. I dont think it should trade past 700. I do think it will consolidate and then continue trending down. At this rate it could be flerting with 500 in 12 hours. if it does trade past 700, then that will be a real pickle.....

btc-e down.. Please no dump until it comes back
Shoot, I am not the only one, does this happen often? does it usually come back?

Much better if you have this! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fv7VxLtN.jpg&t=663&c=3x7yzwDscNkl_w) so was it just a technical problem, or it really went down to 100..? it shure as hell did go down to $102. somebody sole 4000-8000 BTC at market price. scared the crap out of me, I had just removed my orders at 350..... some people made a crap load of money.

Lets talk about consolidation from here onwards.
I would have expected this to play out over a few days, but after that spike..... the bulls came out to play.
what is the price range now? 400? 500?
Is it ridiculous to suggest it's upwards from here?
This must be at least partly planned out.

I was promised cheap coins ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Where are they ? here you go...... $102 cheap enough?
|
|
|
Bitstamp down to 530, then up to 630 again (in like 10 seconds), now 645 Guess i will panic buy a bit more bitcoins i want to have. What about you? Was this the crash
the support after the crash to 102 was incredible. very volatile, but I wouldnt be surprised of this reaction to 630 if the evening had played out as I expected it. I think in the next days we should expect it to explore 400-500. but right now.....holy moly. I have'nt a clue.

crazy stuff going on here. BTCe tested 102. didnt last long. I gotta say, as an EW analyst, it did make sense that the price should fall into the range of 100-260.

And yet only Mt Gox seems to have problems sending bitcoins. Hmmm.
good point!
