2441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 22, 2022, 01:11:08 PM
Restlessness or irritability when trying to reduce or stop gambling
Restlessness or irritability is a sign of idleness sometimes. generally when trying to break a habit, professionals will tell you that it is futile or rather sometimes futile to just want to stop the habit that you started for a long time suddenly and expect it to work. A better strategy would be substituting the habit for something else that is instead of quitting gambling and doing nothing which can cause restlessness, the time you invest in gambling formerly, try investing it in something else like developing a new habit.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: July 22, 2022, 06:11:08 AM
I had a lot of people advise me not to do so, so I took your advice and didn't take out a loan, instead I just placed the amount I already had in my account.
Anyway, the bet won easily so I couldn't help but feel like I should've taken out the loan... Sad
It seems like you have regrets that you followed the community's advice and didn't take a loan to play the so called fixed game. Maybe you can next time so you see if it works for you. However the danger in developing such an unhealthy habit and why majority of forum members adviced you against it is that starting to take loans for gambling  can lead to you becoming accustomed to that dangerous culture of taking loans. If you take the loan and place on the fixed bet, if it works once...You will always want to try it till the day it gets you into trouble. So the advice is so that you avoid creating the problems for yourself before it starts.
2443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hackers Recruiting Programmers and Developers ??! on: July 21, 2022, 10:34:12 PM
So, my question here is that in a world where most jobs are rather becoming remote, how many years of experience could have prevented someone from falling victim for these kinds of schemes ?
I don't think is a matter of how long you been in the field that could help you prevent something like this from happening to you, you may have been in the field long enough but have never heard anything or perhaps heard, but don't believe, it doesn't eliminate you from the list of potential targets. Exposure and awareness of this sort of attacks/schemes can help prevent you from being a victim as someone working remotely. if you do not have plenty working experience and exposure it is advisable you link up and gather experience/know the potential risks involved working in your field from people who have been there a while longer than you have.

On the other hand, it seems that the type does everything correctly, since something like this is typical of managing several accounts in the same casino.
This looks really stressful to me, how many phones does he have😅  he certainly cannot keep this up...You did something similar to this some 15years ago you say, you couldn't keep up i guess, so you had to stop. This will be mentally exhausting for anyone who decides to give this a try maybe after seeing this. Lol, this paints a clear picture of greed IMO.
2446  Economy / Economics / Re: China banka scams shows importance of financial freedom with bitcoin... on: July 21, 2022, 04:46:27 PM
See how the protest are going on in the country and people are getting injured just to get their funds back as it's their savings and they can't let banks scam them but are being mistreated
Money issue is always a delicate issue like i always and will always say, if this issue is not handled as quickly as possible, the tanks that the government have put in front of those banks will not be able to stop the people who have been affected that will get more violent by the day as their patience wears out. I doubt that this situation however will have a strong effect on the opinion of the Chinese government on crypto currency as it is a known fact that they are quite a rigid set. It will take more than these, maybe a series of events for their opinion to change or be forced to change.
2447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2p is the original Satoshi strategy for Bitcoin exchange on: July 21, 2022, 04:17:05 PM
So for highly secure and privacy-consciousness use only p2p to exchange Bitcoin and hold your Bitcoin in your wallets.
The number of people that offer P2P services is now becoming alarming, now even almost more than the amount of persons that hold bitcoin. OP as you encourage users here to exchange their bitcoins for cash via P2P only, it is also in line for you to advise that they be careful as to who the engage with as regards the transactions of their cryptocurrency. Engage with only trusted P2P users if possible those you know, and understand that randomly selecting an individual to transact with every time can put you in line to meet someone who possesses a dubious character.
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 20, 2022, 09:56:41 PM

England vs Spain
Big game for the host as they will be doing their best to stop the spanish side from playing their regular football of moving the ball around (possessive football).  IMO, the English team have the capacity to win, I predict a 2:1 win.
I somehow knew that this was how the game was going to turn out, the Spanish side is a good side and they play so well (I was impressed by Olga 's performance) however I think their problem is that they tend to switch off and stop attacking whenever they score a goal first. it happened today in their game against England after they scored the goal, they completely limited their attacks and focused on defending which is usually not good option against a team that desperately needs a goal.

The English side showed composure even when they were a goal down and even through the extra time in the game,  i see the team getting through to the finals of this competition.
2449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FBI warns about Fraudulent Cryptocurrency Investments on: July 20, 2022, 03:35:06 PM
So the FBI is warning people concerning cryptocurrency scams. They're only like, what? 5 years late? Thanks Mr. policeman, very cool.
This is probably so it doesn't look like they said nothing about it. But how can this really help if they don't invest more in grassroot sensitization, For dating scams that have been on for a long time and the authorities have warned severally, has it resulted in putting a stop completely to dating scams? I do not think so. They have to do more than just verbal warnings but invest massively in grassroots sensitization to ensure that people always double-check the credibility of an investment sites especially cryptocurrency related that they about to get involved with. That can prove more effective than just issueing several verbal warning.
2450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON 2023 qualifiers. on: July 20, 2022, 02:30:49 PM
Who do you think it the most deserving for the CAF  African Player of the Year 2022 awards;
The nominees are;
-Mo Salah
-Edouard Mendy
-Sadio Mané

Sadio Mané will always have my bet, he is a great player even better that Mo Salah in important games, but many people will still want to argue. He is my candidate for this award. If not him, then Edouard Mendy. Names like Vincent Aboubakar for Cameroon should have been included because he had a great influence on his teams African cup of Nations games.

2451  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid buying land in dispute to avoid wasting of economic resources on: July 20, 2022, 10:29:01 AM
Requirements To investigate of the land you want to pay is

You go to the land authority of the government to know about the status of the land.

You find the real ownership of the land from the area people or community.

You know the family head to the land
This can be summarized as you doing your research properly before paying for a Land or best if you are unexperienced in the field, you can go through proper channels like trusted real estate agents or companies. Do not be afraid or too stingy not wanting to pay a little extra charge for the services of these companies/individuals, It cost way lesser to settle these companies/individuals than to deal with the case of buying a land under dispute. Land issues should also be treated very delicately and be avoided at all cost, Most times in my locale, it can lead to unnecessary loss of lives.
2452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analyst Names "Starting Point" for Next Bitcoin Bull Run !!! on: July 20, 2022, 10:00:45 AM
All I can say is that you should be your own analyst.
This is good advice, do your own research, Invest time to study and know your onions, your own analysis is golden and should not be substituted for another persons own maybe because they have been in the market longer than you have. This is not also an encouragement to ignore the advice or analysis of other people who you know are more knowledgeable than you are, it is an advice to task yourself to become more knowledgeable that your analysis become your first opinion completely uninfluenced by another persons own.
2453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Coin and Token on: July 20, 2022, 05:27:29 AM
Main difference between them are
Newbies can easily confuse the two, to simply understand you can say tokens are completely dependent on coins but coins are not dependent and can exist without tokens, and say a coin can accommodate many tokens, that is many tokens can be found under its blockchain but a token on the other hand cannot exist on multiple blockchains. A token becomes a coin when it has it's own Blockchain that other tokens can come under.

The blockchain is a key determinant of the status of a crypto as either a token or a coin. Both the tokens and coins cannot exist outside a Blockchain, this is a notable similarity between them both as well
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 19, 2022, 08:07:01 PM
I was quite surprised when I read this article for the first time because they gamble not for money or pleasure but because of the culture to test luck.
Is the reward for best of luck not money, how can we say the gamble not for money? do they forfeit the money if they turn out lucky and win in gambling? That is a detail to the story i am interested in knowing. For me, my culture says nothing about gambling and doesn't require me to try anything to prove my luck. For the Chinese, I don't think it is a must for everyone. You will be inclined to try out your luck gambling if you subscribe to your culture and it's practice, but if you have been westernised, and do not subscribe to culture, even if you gamble still, your intentions will be more than juat wanting to try out your luck.
2455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A concise guide to not getting "phished" on: July 19, 2022, 01:19:13 PM
What can I do about it?

Don't click on links before verifying that they're safe.
You can go one further by avoiding all unsolicited links. This include links sent in emails, messages on social platforms or PM on the forum. There is a high chance that anyone sending you a link which was not requested for, is a scammer, or best case scenario a spammer; You lose nothing by ignoring.
It is also noteworthy to add that even though these links may appear to be from the account of a trusted members of this forum they should also be ignored because you do not know and cannot confirm the state of their account which may at the time be compromised. Your safety is a personal responsibility you hold to yourself, don't take it for granted.

England vs Spain
Big game for the host as they will be doing their best to stop the spanish side from playing their regular football of moving the ball around (possessive football).  IMO, the English team have the capacity to win, I predict a 2:1 win.

Sweden vs Belgium

Belgium may not be so lucky, they will have to put up a convincing performance against Sweden, the winner of this game will be difficult to predict.

Germany vs Austria
The Germans seem to be heading to the finals, i don't think Austria can stop them.

France vs Netherlands
This is going to be a tough game, the French team is very strong, if they somehow manage a win over Netherlands, their next game will be tougher, If it happens they play against Germany and win, in the Semis, I don't think any other team will be able to stop them.
2457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: July 19, 2022, 06:22:04 AM
All around the different regions/parts of the world, they have the same issue that's causing mass protests. It's HIGH INFLATION, HIGH FUEL PRICES, HIGH FOOD PRICES, HIGH COSTS OF LIVING, AND LOW MINIMUM WAGE.
I fear that this issue of inflation has also had an effect on the security of lives and property. We need no percentage to estimate and say that the level of insecurity has risen and it is evident from my all around us with more desperate individuals who are willing to do or go any length to be able to survive the present harsh economic realities caused by inflation. We all have to exhibit caution and care in dealing with individuals around us, both the ones we think we know and the ones we don't know.
2458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON 2023 qualifiers. on: July 19, 2022, 04:52:03 AM
Nevertheless, the Super Falcons really defended this trophy and we take solace in the fact that they have qualified for the FIFA female World Cup.
The world cup has always been the bigger picture, It is good that we were able to qualify for the world cup before these unexpected turn of events. I never pictured or could have predicted that their game against Morocco gets extended into the penalties even after the red cards, i thought it was over then for the falcons, but they proved to be an even better and more resilient team with the dogged display they still put up.

These Ladies show more team spirit than our super eagles, there is no doubt that they will get so far in the world cup.

More money for CZ, he is taking over the crypto currency space, Binance is everywhere, their team is really working hard for marketing and their technical team is doing a great jobs ensuring that there are lesser glitches. It was highly expected though for binance, many people already see them as the best option these days. Now that they have achieved this feat, a new responsibility lies with them to be able to ensure that they can accommodate the many crowd that will be flocking their way.
2460  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you look down on Bushy or undeveloped areas? on: July 18, 2022, 06:01:03 PM
Do you think buying your first landed property in a bushy area is a good investment for the future.
If I had the resources to, I will buy any sort of land even a waterlogged, a swampy land etc...Land is getting scarcer by the day, and that means more valuable. My city for instance is so densely packed that there's barely any land for sale in the city, to get a space to erect a new structure, you have to buy an already existing property and demolish it to build your own if that's your wish. It is an indication that land is becoming more valuable as development is spreading fast. To own any sort of land not just the bushy ones is a good investment for the future.
