2441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 28, 2021, 11:50:42 PM
If the opponent was a better team than Porto, then Juventus could have big problems in the second leg. But I don't think that Porto can withstand in Italy. I expect Juventus to move them out of their way by at least 2-goal difference. But Juventus don't give off good signals. They can get eliminated in the next round if they come across a tough opponent.
I am not sure that Juventus is in such a state now to remove any opponent from its path, but I also believe that it will be a huge setback for Juventus to qualify for the next round of the Champions League Wink Football is beautiful for its unpredictability and this season, coupled with the previous one, gives even too many such examples, but 1 goal away makes Juventus the favorite of this pair in my eyes.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 28, 2021, 11:41:26 PM
I can't believe that Juventus got a tie yesterday, even though they were missing some key players, they are a great team and they have enough to actually end up with a win over a team like verona, I mean not like I want to diminish anything Verona has achieved so far but the reality is that Juventus has so much money and so much power that even the most young Italian players are scouted way before they are any high age and get to Juventus affiliate clubs before they are 15 so even the youngsters of Juventus are better than some main players of other teams so the missing players weren't really looking like a problem for them.
However as we can see there aren't really that kind of case in football because let's face it even in the best of the teams could lose to other teams if they play bad enough, so I believe this was a case of that instead of missing players.
Of course, on paper, it is very difficult to put Juventus and Verona on the same level, given the selection of Juventus players and the budget of the team. Of course, everything happens in football and a known favorite can not only lose points, but even lose to an outsider, just for this we love football Wink But usually this happens in isolated incidents, but if these are not isolated accidents, then it is worth talking about the problems that have arisen. Yes, Juventus have some problems with the squad, but the clubs below the fourth place Juventus is obliged to beat.
2443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 28, 2021, 11:28:16 PM
I am familiar with Nalbandian and I can partially agree. The young guys are closing in every tournament and I don't think all young players are mentally weak. Look at Tsitsipas who come from 2 sets down and still managed to win against Nadal.
One thing is sure, there are a lot of young talented players but I don't see anyone able to really dominate the field in the same way as Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have done.
This can happen quite unexpectedly, and quite expected as the great tennis trio is not getting younger, and the young people on the contrary are increasingly beginning to gain confidence in their game. I think that if Federer can win the Tokyo Olympics, he can finish his great career this year. As for Djokovic and Nadal, I would like to say that Nadal is very strong on clay courts, but not to such an extent dominates them on other types of surfaces. In the same way, I would like to say that Djokovic, due to his physical fitness and health, is not necessarily able to win the other three Grand Slam championships, because we saw that he had some health problems during the Australian Open and it is absolutely not a fact that Djokovic would have won if Medvedev had been able to draw him into a four-or five-set game.
2444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 28, 2021, 10:55:23 PM
~snip~
It will be more interesting if Atletico Madrid is defeated in this match. The competition of the title will be more alive and competitive.
I agree with you, although I can not guess, but that is my hope. Because I am support Madrid to win La Liga this season. Seeing the next game against Sociedad has historically been better Madrid. But in the last five matches they are the same, two wins and one draw. But looking at their current (madrid) condition, lots of injuries and only 11 senior players ready to play in the win against Atalanta, I think a draw is fair. But I still hope Real Madrid can win to stay on the La Liga winning track.
Despite the victory of Atletico in the match with Villarreal, Real Madrid, however, as well as Barcelona, did not lose hope of fighting for the league title, although the gap between Real and Atletico is already a solid six points. However, for this, Real Madrid should not lose points and expect misfires from Atletico, which I think will still happen. The main problem with Real Madrid is with the offensive line, because after Ronaldo's departure, there was no player with a similar weight in the team and authority among the opponents.
2445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 28, 2021, 10:44:32 PM
Liverpool are finally winning a game in the EPL after 4-game losing streak. They are defeating a weak opponent Sheffield but it will still help boost their morale before the next matches I think. After Chelsea-Manchester Utd ended 0-0, they will also decrease the point difference with Chelsea to 1.
So now Liverpool is ready to compete with the top 4 teams Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham will be hunting for points to stay safe in the UEFA zone
Unfortunately Tottenham and Arsenal cannot compete yet, of course it will be very interesting to see these strong teams compete with each other.
The crisis in the Liverpool team began to drag on very much and could lead to sad consequences both in the standings and in the financial part, because it is no secret that the income from the Champions League makes up a significant part of the budgets of such clubs. Moreover, it is worth considering the situation with television rights, whose revenues have even begun to fall in recent years.
2446  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: February 27, 2021, 11:59:44 PM
For financial companies it's a no brainer. There is no downside in having say 1% of your portfolio in BTC. Well the downside is at most 1%. I think by now most investors would consider it prudent to take that risk, vs not taking it and missing the rise of BTC.
However Tesla isn't a financial company, so it's a bit of a different thing, I'm not even necessarily in favor of companies playing on the financial markets when it's not their business. Especially a company like Tesla that doesn't really earn money yet.
If it was Apple, it would make more sense, Apple has tons of fiat on bank accounts, it's a risk in itself.
Of course, the shares are different and individual percentages of some companies may seem like huge funds for others  Wink The situation with Tesla's financial capitalization in general is a unique situation and perfectly illustrates the current realities of the modern stock market and other traditional markets, when such phenomena appear due to the policy of quantitative easing, and I am not sure that such actions of Tesla's management will not potentially hit the financial well-being of the company later due to the high risk of investing in cryptocurrencies.
2447  Economy / Economics / Re: The volatility in the price of a bitcoin is falling over time on: February 27, 2021, 11:51:51 PM
If to take to account some factors, this graphic becomes logical. Last several months we observed how the price per BTC surged over $50 000 because lots of whale investors entered huge amounts of money into this "game" and prefer to hodl BTC to see how their wealth grows. There's also an army of noobs who wants BTC to stay over 50 and buy it regularly. So it will be really very hard to drop BTC drastically now. Only time will tell us whether it’s whether that's possible or not.
The most important thing is that the games of such investors do not lead to a long-term downtrend. Because a greater impact on volatility factor asset may have not time itself, and the too rapid growth of the course price of the asset when investors throwing all caution at first, trying to jump onto a departing car and then frantically disposing of the asset is trying to avoid even greater losses.
2448  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial freedom and success comes from knowledge on: February 27, 2021, 11:41:27 PM
As you know clever people are always in demand. But usually they are not traders, they are cool IT-managers, economists, layers, surgeons, owners of huge corporations (last ones usually finish some cool universities like Harvard or Yale and inherit their family business). If they invest in crypto they do this just for fun and to be in trend. They really become famous and rich because of their knowledges.
Anyone in a good position will invest in other financial assets, if you are not having the time either you hire someone to look after your portfolio and they will update you about the market situation and you give the green signal according to their research whether it is switching the stocks or mutual funds or anything financial related about the assets you are holding.
To be successful in life all you need is common sense and you need to follow those right from your education and then getting a job and then building your career and everything follows.
Knowledge in any case is a prerequisite for success, another question is that you are required to have a different level of effort and knowledge, depending on what stage you start your ascent on the life ladder Wink Knowledge is always necessary, but not everyone can have great talents to use the newly acquired knowledge with great success. And it is not for nothing that it is said that a lot of knowledge can mean a lot of sadness.
2449  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: February 27, 2021, 11:30:48 PM
In fact, virus mutation puts a question of relevance of vaccination against covid-19 but governments of some countries are very strictly towards this. For instance Russia didn't except people without vaccination by Sputnik against corona. As far as I know that's an obligatory moment if you need to enter Russia by any reason. Sadly that they don't make or check any tests to find out whether you were ill, recovered and have now natural immunity for some time.
In general, vaccines are different and built on different principles, and therefore, if mutations for some vaccines greatly reduce the effectiveness of the work, then other types of vaccines calmly cope with obtaining the desired reultat. Therefore, I believe that some hysteria about mutations is not fully justified and is dictated by the weak rate of vaccination and the greater degree of contagion of the virus mutations. By the end of the year, the situation regarding vaccination and the release of the required number of vaccines should stabilize and we will see more visible progress in the fight against the epidemic.
2450  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: February 27, 2021, 11:21:24 PM
Obviously them can never be the same but the similarities is there, because we use fiat currency to purchase pizza and we also use cryptocurrency to purchase pizza, which is documented in forum that somebody purchased pizza with crypto when Bitcoin did not dominate like as it's currently, so since this analysis happened previously, so while can't us accept the fact that btc and fiat are correlated the only difference is the regulations.
It's not just about the rules. It also lies in the principles of operation and areas of application. Under the current systems of public administration, which operate in all parts of the world, fiat currencies act as the basis on which the functioning of the economic system of any state is built, and not just payment for goods and services, and there is no escape from this.
2451  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 26, 2021, 10:35:13 PM
A correction will come around once the price resistance is apprehended. The price at this point is strong that's why no correction can come in. I'm not so sure what would trigger such resistance to fall off but if we were to learn from last 2017's ATH, it can be solved by simply cashing out your btcs and then buying the dip.
What is the correction for you? The collapse of the exchange rate price three times, five times, ten times?! The price correction is already taking place and we hope that the situation that was a few years ago will not repeat. I am well aware that some levels of resistance to the fall of the stock price, but I would not be surprised if these levels go down if the price falls too much, because stock players are not required to buy at a certain level from panicked sellers.
2452  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: February 26, 2021, 10:27:07 PM
If fiat money is going to face serious economic crisis then the price of bitcoin will actually increase not only due to the fall of purchasing power of fiat but also people will start moving their fiat money to anything which is considered as Store of value and for sure more people will consider bitcoin as store of value than in past because they understand what is Bitcoin from covid 19 crisis and 2020 bull run.
I really want to believe this, because if people lose faith in their governments and in their economy, then the only hope remains for assets that are supposedly not subject to depreciation. Another question is that this is all based on the belief of people buying up the asset and this belief may not coincide with the asset itself. Let's not forget what the American government did during the Great Depression with the gold reserves of the citizens.
2453  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: February 26, 2021, 10:17:46 PM
If they had bought bitcoin when it was cheap they will not have this problem and they could begin to build their positions. but now they are seeing that other institutional investors got a head start over them and instead of accepting their mistake and decide to join them they are doubling down on their critic against bitcoin thinking that they still have the power the crash the market with a few articles full of FUD, but we know that is not going to be enough as too many people are realizing that bitcoin is here to stay and it is probably their only chance for a better future under the current circumstances.
You live in a universe of your own, and I live in a universe where bitcoin, after rampant growth, has fallen very well. Therefore, I fully agree with JP Morgan's opinion that a few powerful corporations cannot constantly direct any asset to the heavens by their actions. In times of unrestrained optimism, there should be skeptics who warn investors against being too optimistic.
2454  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: February 26, 2021, 10:10:09 PM
If that's their opinion of cryptocurrency then so be it. It is their domestic economy which will miss some of the benefits of accepting crypto so let them have it. The whole world is turning positive with cryptocurrencies while Nigeria is still afraid of it being used in criminal activities and illicit affairs. No matter how hard the government and the central bank suppress crypto in the country, if the people wants to use it, they will find a way.
They are missing a lot in terms of taxes and investment opportunities in here tbh.
The only legitimate currency on the territory of any state is its own national currency and foreign currencies that can be exchanged for its own currency. Therefore, I simultaneously agree with their point of view and at the same time disagree, because cryptocurrencies are also gaining their place in the sun, and any sane state should allow citizens to make transactions.
2455  Economy / Economics / Re: SWISS NATIONAL BANK is the first Central Bank to own Bitcoin (via TSLA and MSRT) on: February 26, 2021, 10:02:09 PM
Feel like I wrote a bit much.   Cry Cry Cry  Thanks for reading if you made it to the end.   Wink Wink    Tongue Tongue
I don't compare it to Ethereum or any of the Alt-coins. They all exist only because Bitcoin does. The "crypto-economy" exists only because BTC provides the foundational tenet that cryptographic consensus is valuable. I do think that the concept of decentralized governance and smart-contract enabled by Ethereum has value. Bitcoin has plans for something similar and we have to wait to see the full impact of those changes.
In general, it is not even necessary to compare bitcoin and smart contracts of ethereum and similar cryptocurrencies. An even more important mistake is to say that it is possible to build an economy on this. Some small part is necessary, but smart contracts in the form of cryptocurrencies are very overvalued things, because such things have existed for a long time and they will not be immediately crossed out by a competitor who offers such a thing, but on different principles.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 26, 2021, 09:51:57 PM
None of this means he is a bad player, but when you are a player who doesn't care what you hit, ball or player, you do end up with a bit of an advantage over other defenders who are more careful. So he may not find any decent offers, I am not saying zero offers but he will probably never play on a team at Real Madrid level, he could find some Sevilla level if he wants to, not just in La Liga but just Sevilla level all around the world, that is all he can get. Best option probably would be Leipzig which is a great team if you ask me because they are selling their best defenders to Bayern this year.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sergio Ramos ends up at PSG. Ramos is both a great player and a dirty player, but if it provides a result and the referees look at it calmly... Football is a battle, not a ballet called Swan Lake or the Nutcracker. Remember how many times he saved Real Madrid with his trips to the opponent's penalty area in the last minutes or with his dirty but selfless actions.
2457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 26, 2021, 09:09:35 PM
At this point I think Tottenham players are just tired and knowing the ego Jose has he will not play certain players because of one or two reasons or maybe he simply doesn't just like you, we have seem this happen several times which is why I admire the Peps rotational game type, which is yielding results! At this point I think Spurs has to much on their plate and the best they would do is direct their resources towards the Epl inspite the champions league being the more lucrative one.
I don't understand what's going on with the players and the Tottenham club. The club under the leadership of Mourinho started the season well and the fans of the club already began to hope for high places, but then the loss of points began on empty space and two clubs from Manchester are fighting for the title, Tottenham continues to slide to the middle of the standings. I understand that Mourinho was not expected to immediately win the championship in the first year, but we did not expect such results either.
2458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 26, 2021, 08:55:45 PM
Chelsea owner Abramovich has approved Haaland's transfer for 100 million euros. As far as I remember, Haaland has always wanted to go to another club, so it is already possible to open bets on how much Chelsea must pay Haaland himself in order for the player to agree to move to England Wink I will be very happy for the club where this nugget of gold will move, because the current Borussia is not the club worthy of such a player.
2459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 26, 2021, 08:42:13 PM
igehhh I feel that it’s too late for Juventus to mount a title challenge now, but then again in football you never know what may happen next, however I’m sincerely hoping that Juventus do not win the league as it’s annoying to see them win it every year.
Is never late Inter and AC Milan are inconsistent they might waste away the chance just the same way Lazio and Atalanta did, the Italian league are full of Juventus loyal referees we have seen that in the last 8years. Right now Juventus main objective this season is to win the champions league or at least get to the final. Lukaku and Conte deserve something for their efforts this season
I understand that the fans of other clubs are already tired of Juventus ' league titles every year Grin And this time Juventus may be left without the coveted title, but I would rather believe that Juventus will arrange a race for the leader than Milan will arrange a competition for their sworn friends in the city. In terms of lost points, Juventus are only one step away from Milan and therefore the championship race is still not over.

Well in the last 2 years he demonstrated to be a mediocre driver, nothing more.
He has dominated by a rookie in a car where he was competing 2 years before for the title till the latest races.
Let's see if he can beat Stroll next year and then we can talk again about the value of the driver.
I think that despite the poor performances in recent years, Vettel should still be ahead of Lance Stroll. Another question is that given the very close family ties of the team owner and one of the drivers, I think that Vettel will not be able to count on an exceptional attitude to his person in this team Wink However, I hope it will not be back and Vettel will not be deprived of attention, or if strange the whole point of these changes composition Wink
