2441  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doubling Bitcoin? on: May 26, 2016, 10:27:33 AM
I'm sort of new to bitcoin, I've made a couple bucks already from visiting ad sites, doing faucets, etc, but is there any other way to earn easy cash? Anyone got any suggestions?

Firstly, I don't think personally that it would be worth my time for me to browse through all these faucet sites and ad sites, simply because the effort to reward ratio is wait too high. You can do way better things than to waste your time on those sites.

For example, trading on an exchange. Use leverage to help you gain more. However, these activities do come with some risk. You could also gamble, but that is pure luck, and nothing skill.
2442  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: May 26, 2016, 10:15:33 AM
Hello, I would like to ask if anyone knows for a good way to invest Bitcoins? I am very interested in purchasing shares of a startups, something like bnktothefuture, but with lower minimums.

I am currently active on BTCjam, but I would like to invest in startups too not just loans.

Thanks Smiley

Well, BTCJam is a pretty good option for investing your coins, just make sure you pick the right people to lend to, and it is proven now that BTCJam accounts are being bought and sold, even the verified ones that can scam instantaneously.

Alternatively you can just hold your coins and wait for a price increase. Buy low sell high, that's what trading and investing is all about. Buy when it's low, sell when it becomes a bubble. Similar to the idea of buy the rumor, sell the news.
2443  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: May 26, 2016, 10:12:52 AM
i have a little doubt about btc price in future.should i save btc for increasing value of bitcoin?

or maybe price of btc will be down in 5-10 year
just imagine about future of btc and tell me should i save bitcoins for future or not...?

If you have little doubt about bitcoin price as you said in your above post, then you should go for it. Buy however much bitcoins you think is going to suit yourself, and you'll make some profit. I believe in the bitcoin price rising too into the long term future, and that's why I'm buying as well.

I don't think that the bitcoin price is going to go down in the next 5 to 10 years simply because the fiat currencies are going to inflate so much that 100 dollars won't buy you anything by 2030. While bitcoin will hang onto its value.
2444  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: May 26, 2016, 10:08:33 AM
Bitcoin has been rising up this past few weeks and continue to rise, what do you think?
will bitcoin continue to rise at the end of the month or it will have a sudden drop?

In my opinion bitcoin is rising because of the halving hype. And it should be, too. Because halving is supposed to give miners less reward, thus less bang for their buck essentially. So the miners will not sell their coin, until they can make up for their losses.

And when that happens, there will be a sudden drop in the supply of available tradable coins, and when there is a short supply, the price always goes up. And people are sensing that is going to happen too, so they are buying before the halving happens.
2445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why people love bitcoins? on: May 26, 2016, 10:06:51 AM
why people love bitcoins?

Because bitcoin is a currency and should be used as a currency. People love it because at the same time, they hate the fiat currency. They hate how the government is cheating them and how the banks are charging them so much fees for sending money overseas.

While using bitcoins you can send money anywhere in the world for no fee, except an optional transaction fee to boost your transaction priority. This is a huge improvement on the banks, and WU.
2446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ready for bitcoin halving? on: May 26, 2016, 10:03:11 AM
are you ready for bitcoin halving? what can you say about the halving Huh

Yeah, I'm always ready for an event like a bitcoin halving, I think it'll give the much needed boost to the bitcoin community. Currently price is stable at around $460, but it could definitely be some room to rise when halving comes near.

I believe that because halving is a natural deflationary event, as miners will get less reward per block, there will be a sharp increase in the price of btc as the miners will be aiming to hang on to their BTC and sell it later. So hold on to your coins, boys Cheesy

Hey guys, I love Bitcoin; like I am a serious Bitcoin fanatic. I'm only 18 and while I have a job, girlfriend, and friends, I still find myself having time on my hands. I used to spend that time playing games and what not but now I spend it kind of obsessing over Bitcoin and I think it's getting to a point where it's unhealthy. I used to spend my spare time playing video games but recently I've yet to find any motivation or really drive to even like the game I'm playing. I used to LOVE games like Minecraft, DayZ, and Destiny, now they seem old. SO to the person who recommends me an honest good game to try and if I do end up like it; they will win the 0.005 BTC Jackpot. Just a little hint: I like games were you can have something to show for it, not like a COD rank but more like, "Hey look at this base I spent so much time designing" or "Woah dude look at that gear" kind of build up, if that makes sense. Sorry if my description was to vague and once again thanks for reading! First 5 to post their wallets get 0.001 BTC Free!

So you're looking for a multiplayer online game right? Personally I prefer first person shooters, so I'm going to recommend CSGO to you. The game itself costs some money but it's not really that much, considering you're doing all these giveaways for bitcoins anyway Tongue

There are ranks but you can also get skins, equipments, knives and guns that you can show off to other people as a part of the game. The game items are also easily liquidated if there ever comes a time to sell them. You could potentially try TF2 as well but the graphics are a lot more animated. CSGO is more real life.

I hope this helps Smiley
Yes actually I already ahve a copy of that; only played it with friends it's kind of fun

Urghhh... So you don't really like the gameplay, or are you just sort of crap at it? Tongue If you're only looking for an addicting online multiplayer game that doesn't really require any skill, just fun, then you can try agar.io and slither.io.

Not only can you join clans and team with other people, you can also rank up(I know you said you didn't want ranks), buy new skins, and improve your skill. Slither.io is generally more anti-teaming than agar.io though, and it's easier to get mass on slither than on agar.

My other suggestion is Dragon's Tale. It's a bitcoin game that involves both skill and luck, and it's a bit of a gambling game. But I'm pretty sure that there's a large community too, and you can buy stuff on it, send other people gifts, etc. Haven't looked into it myself but have seen other people play. Seems to have quite a good rating. And it's pretty addicting too Tongue http://www.dragons.tl/ Check it out.

Tell me if I got the prize Tongue

2449  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: May 25, 2016, 09:16:48 AM
Advice, tips, speculation please.

A lot of money you've got there. You wouldn't want to lose it all, would you? There's simply too much to lose there. It's up to you, really. It all depends on your risk appetite. Whether you love risk, or whether you hate risk.

My suggestions -

If you hate risk and just want the safe route and go long term:

Hold bitcoins for the future price increases, put it in a safe cold storage, and wait a few years. Might take time but it'll definitely pay off.

If you are OK with some risk, or love risk:

Go to P2P lending sites and lend to trustworthy people that have a alright credit history. Offers you way more return, but also infinitely more riskier.
2450  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: May 25, 2016, 09:14:19 AM
By using bitcoin you are being your own bank. There is really no need for a central bank or commercial banks when you use bitcoin. You are holding the private keys and only you own the bitcoins. No one else can access it. While if you deposit currency into a bank you're basically trusting them to stay legit. And banking people are always not very trustworthy Tongue

So I prefer a bitcoin wallet, because bitcoin wallets are very easy to use, and it involves less fees.
2451  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: May 25, 2016, 09:12:41 AM
We'll end up with a point when everything will be priced in bitcoin instead of fiat. For example, a coffee would cost 0.005 BTC instead of $2 fiat in bitcoins. That's when bitcoin becomes a real currency that will be used for daily commerce, and I think that's going to happen in a decade or so.

So yes, bitcoin can actually replace fiat. Yes, it might be a complicated process to go through, but we'll get there eventually. I have complete faith and trust in BTC.
2452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: May 25, 2016, 09:10:57 AM
Hey so i recently got about 1,5 BTC from a service i started and now im wondering what i should do with this. Any tips?

Firstly I've got to say that I'm really jealous of your hoard of bitcoins Tongue That's a lot of money to have saved up, you should realise that. You should also recognize the pain you will go through if you lose it.

I think the safest thing to do here is to simply keep it in a cold storage wallet and wait for the price to increase. It will increase sooner or later, trust me. In the long term bitcoin will also outperform fiat. But if you want to go the riskier way, buy some altcoins when they are cheap. They might be a good investment.
2453  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: May 25, 2016, 09:07:44 AM
I am also holding for the future in the hope that the price is going to be higher then we have ever seen. I am then going to sell all my coins at once and then I am just going to stop with Bitcoin forever.

I agree with you in the first half where you said you are holding for the future. Me too. I believe in bitcoin and its future of becoming a dominant currency in the world. The price will be indeed skyrocketing by that time to a level that cannot be conceived today.

But I'm not going to stop with bitcoin forever once the price does skyrocket. I'll still be involved with the community, even if I decide to invest it in something else more worthwhile. Bitcoin lives on Tongue
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: May 25, 2016, 09:04:43 AM
Gambling is not wrong morally. Although it does have a tendency of destroying people's lives. But after all, an adult human being should be responsible for his own actions. Not allowing one to gamble is simply a violation of freedom of choice.

Seriously though, gambling is wrong for your own sake. View it like alcohol and drugs. It's so addictive that you can't get your mind off it. You want a piece of it every second. So don't start gambling, if you haven't yet.
2455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i enter a signature campaign as a newbie? on: May 25, 2016, 08:43:29 AM
Always check the overview of signature campaigns on this thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0. Check it on a regular basis to ensure that you get all the latest information about signature campaigns.

The problem with newbies is that because of the restrictions put in place for different ranks, newbies cannot put any links into their signature. This significantly reduces the chances of getting good exposure.
2456  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: May 25, 2016, 07:47:22 AM
I was thinking about this, what if the US Dollar crashes like speculated by many renowned economists around the world?
What will be it's affects on the beloved currency, BTC?

Let me get this straight: The dollar is designed in a way that it is certain that it will collapse eventually. When it does happen is a matter of time and time only. The safest bet is to bet against the collapse of the dollar.

But with bitcoin it's obviously different because bitcoin has no single entity that controls the supply of coins. With this in mind, your future will not be controlled by a central bank or government. You can control your own future. You can predict the inflation of bitcoins. Also the value of bitcoin is retained over time so if the dollar collapses, bitcoin will skyrocket.
2457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: May 25, 2016, 07:35:06 AM
I have noticed so many players are just gambling for the sake of profits only. But majority of them loses most of the games eventually as they are not smart players.

So how should we gamble in a smart way so that we do not get more frustrations due to continuous losses?

The smart gambler knows the importance to enjoy gambling. When gambling, you should be relaxed and always ready to accept your losses. After all, gambling should be an entertainment instead of a part time job.

When you do that, gambling becomes fun and you naturally know not to bet what you cannot afford since you wouldn't be putting everything you have into movie tickets, would you? So yeah, bet what you can afford, and always be prepared to lose.
2458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: May 25, 2016, 07:32:56 AM
My gambling stats are generally pretty bad. Apart from having a little profit on Crypto-Games, I simply have not gotten a single positive profit level on any other dice site. It's pretty sad, really.

I've lost 5 BTC once, foolishly betting 0.5 BTC at a time. But somehow I hit this really bad streak that really screwed me up. While my best win, was hitting a 9900x from 0.00005 BTC probably. That was a great win of 0.5 BTC, but really my losses outweigh my wins by a mile.
2459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: May 25, 2016, 07:30:19 AM
Definitely had to cry over my losses a few times now, while betting online with bitcoins. I was quite immature... And I didn't know the risks that come with gambling. I thought that I was on top of the world and could beat the house edge.

I lost around 5 BTC total, and it was really really sad for me. After that I told myself to quit gambling, but I still came back and gambled a few times after that. Obviously, I lost. So don't gamble, folks. Don't start if you haven't started yet.
2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: May 25, 2016, 07:28:29 AM
Gambling is all a trick.  People think that because they can make money quick and that because they have a strategy, they will be able to beat the dds and that is just not true.  To many people I know have wasted so much in gambling and have nothing to show for their mistakes.

Definitely agree with you on this one. Gambling's basically the house robbing you without you feeling any hate towards them. Instead you come back time and time again, and you lose more to them.

People think that they have strategies that they can follow and profit from infinitely. But this is simply not true. Many times you follow your strategy and go all in and you think it's not the strategy's fault, it's my fault for not following my strategy. So you come back again to try your strategy. And you lose again. You come back again and again and again....
