I can't even recognize what browser you're using your screenshotlow quality picture of your monitor.  I'm going to guess Safari since it's in the other processes, though why that icon isn't next to https://www.btcguild.com (or why the hell your process monitor is even showing a specific website address).

Sounds like Yosemite's latest update + whatever browser you're using have a bug in their JavaScript implementation.  The PPLNS stats page can put a lot of strain when initially loading due to the amount of data in the table as well as the chart that is drawn.  Once it's done, it shouldn't be using any.  Welcome to why I've lost a ton of faith in Apple over the last year.  They keep releasing OS updates with a TON of issues that take a few months to sort out.

It's not doing it anymore.  I think that symbol has something to do with FLASH PLAYER

In this photograph you see 99.9% of CPU used by The Guild.

I've also found if I navigate anywhere else, AFTER getting this "bug" it will start doing it again and I have to force quit it again.  If I then delete all website data, I don't have the problem again until after navigating to the guild and clicking on PPLNS STATS.

It just getting kind of inconvenient to be forced to delete all website data after navigating to The Guild.  This forces me to have to log in to The Guild, Slush, and Coinbase repeatedly.

I have half of my rigs on The Guild and half of my rigs on Slush.

2443  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [13000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: October 29, 2014, 09:02:15 PM
There's an attack currently hitting the primary stratum server.  As in the past, existing mining connections should not be affected, but restarting a miner or starting up a new one may have difficulties connecting.  If you're currently mining and were planning on restarting a miner/changing a configuration, I would recommend waiting a few hours (or a day) to avoid being unable to reconnect.

EDIT:  The attacks have stopped for now.

Eleuthria,

I think attacks may be going on again or something...

I was coming here to check out how its going with my rigs periodically the last few days with no problems.

Now it's starting to act up again like it was a few days ago.

Every time I click on "PPLNS STATS" the CPU is being used 100% by BTC Guild.  I have to force quit The Guild in my Activity Monitor in order to go to the Guild again. When I navigate to The Guild again, 100% of my CPU is used again.

So, I decided to delete all my website data before navigating to the Guild again.  It does fine when I first navigate their after deleting website data.  It does fine after I log in.  However, the moment I click on PPLNS STATS, 100% of my CPU is being used again.

This amount of CPU usage puts a strain on any computer.  The fans will blow extremely fast constantly to try to cool down the computer.  I don't know what is going on here.

I can't help but wonder if there is an attack again?

It only does this when I navigate to The Guild.  It does this no where else.

Your assistance would be appreciated greatly, Sir.

I actually like the closet project. Those miners are mining at slushs pool. It's a lot better than newbies constantly accusing slush of cheating or not keeping the pool up. As long as we keep this a NO FUD ZONE and about Slush's Pool and our mining, it's all good.

Thank you for the props on the closet project!

As for my accusations in the past [As a newbie] I have learned from the error of my ways.

I'm not making accusations any more at anyone about cheating anyone in the pool.

I was a damn newbie when I made two accusations on here and I'm still a newbie.  However, I have learned from my mistakes.

Does that mean I should be mocked and ridiculed from this day forward by others in the forum because of my ignorance in the past?

I would hope not!!!

Those who do are obviously immature and need to take a look at themselves.

If I make a mistake, I'm man enough to own up to it.  However, some on here want to continue acting like little dogs barking to instigate the big dogs into getting up to see something that is nothing.

It's a damn shame some on here have to act like little children.  Hell, they might be a damn child.  I don't know.

None of this is directed at you, Billbags.  I'm just spilling out my observations of others in the forum.

These miners become obsolete faster than any other technology I have seen. My miners were soo good 4 months ago and now they are barely able to keep up with electricity costs!

Time to upgrade. Got enough BTC mined to purchase a new miner, gotta find the best price.  Grin

What is your reward per block, fellow miners? Mine is embarrassing so you go first  Cheesy

Careful

IF you're not discussing or have questions about the damn pool you need to start another topic

Uh oh, vigilante moderator alert!  Grin

I believe I was on topic. The current discussion was the newest Antminers and their prices. I saw screenshots relating to the price of an Antminer from one source and saw that a fellow community member mentioned that a better deal exists as another member had posted one.

Further, I was wondering what the other miners at Slush's pool are getting per block. I believe that this is indeed a Slush-specific question as well because the hash rate varies from pool to pool.

While Slush doesn't visit this thread any more, a lot of people who mine on this pool do. Please stop turning this thread into your private mining blog - while some people enjoy what you have to say, many others do not and it has strayed too far off topic. Start another thread.

Your right.  I just wanted to point out to other Slusher's they can get their rigs cheaper than another place that was recommended in this forum.

Only trying to look out for my fellow Slusher's

NOTICE:  See how my user name:
implies he was talking to me?

Someone else was trying to point out a US website for bitmain.  I pointed out they can get them cheaper at bitmaintech.  THEN I'm the one who gets reamed for it.  LOL

EXACTLY!!!

I was talking to someone about miners as well but I was given this message by the moderator.

Probably 70% of the stuff discussed on here has nothing to do with Slush's pool.

So, WHY I was gotten on to beats the hell out of me?

Unless, there was someone who doesn't like me who decided to PM the moderator or something.

I just want them the hell of my back.

Like I said, at least 70% of the stuff on here has nothing to do with Slush's pool.  Yet, someone gets onto me.

I was talking about miners and their prices as well, but a moderator gets onto me.

Anyone else having issues today pool keeps disconnecting and just noticed the last block has been processing for over 3 hours

I switched from:   http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332 (main pool URL)

To:  stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 (If you have Stratum-compatible miner)

I was having the same issues

Works fine now.

I don't know why . I just  linked it for some one who wanted a S3 fast on this forum.

It took me 5 and a half days to get six S3's here from China via UPS
2451  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: October 28, 2014, 07:19:02 AM
Why is the S4 $400.00 more than bitmaintech.com website?

it is  the US your ordering from  over sea you pay for shipping so I'm guessing it all even out don't know , i don't buy much from over seas.

don't want a s2 or S4 waiting mostly for the L1 and  C1 to see how they fan out Smiley .

It doesn't cost $400.00 for shipping from China for the S4 from bitmaintech.com

It cost $42.47 for shipping.

Total: $1292.47

Make sure to choose "direct shipping" instead of "hosting at Umisoo"

And bc i luve in canada.    Nine of these bitcoin miner manufactureres operate in canada meanibg... long wait for shipment, big shipping cost. And ppossibly customs fee.

Such a pain.  But bugger is better

I had no customs fees on mine.  Came straight to me via UPS with no problems at all.

I see so many that complain  that live in the US till they see that .

well any way

cya

I love this pool, from time to time it gives a very good yield but its like anything it comes and goes i keep looking for the best poss fastest way of mining .

GL

Sorry, this is obviously not Bitmaintech themselves.  This is an approved distributer (middle man) of theirs... maybe.  Not paying the extra "juice" for a middle man.  I had no problem with bitmaintech getting six S3's shipped here straight from China.  Much cheaper from bitmaintech.com

if you live in the US check out bitmains US site so many have no idea they have US support or it even exist .

http://bitmainusa.com/

S3 you see on the front page is not the right price go looking thu the site for the right prices .  in some cases the shipping is all ways free in the US i all most never order out side the US.

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Thanks!!!

here is the right one that opens on the home page .Smiley .

http://www.bitmainantminer.com/

Now, I say NO THANKS!!!

NOT paying $1,650.00 for S4's

The first six S3's I purchased from bitmaintech.com was done with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.

When you click "buy it now" on the link you provided, it sends you to a PayPal payment method as well for $1,650.00

Is this your buddy's website or something?

now that's some nice power cost . best i have all year is 0.0919 per KWH one tier, new plan is  due to happen next year, I'm going shopping  once i get that renewal letter .  Sep this year i got a 352 $ bill in the mail for power cost i had been mining all summer  24 /7 and the highest bill was 220 in the summer till sep . but what jacked it in Sep was a bad wire out side my house it took it them three hours to replace now my bills
seem  ok power doesn't go over 8 bucks a day it was going over 12 to all most 16 a day with that bad wire i had no idea why till my power went out and no one else did. i wish i could get those cost thu i would  invest more in to farming . its just a hobby for me.

Your power costs are pretty damn good as well.  Many others are closer to .15 cents per kWH.

I didn't know if everyone with multiple miners were doing this or not.

Don't mind seeing GHash on here.  I'm mining with rigs 1 through 12 on Slush and rigs 13 through 16 on the dark side.

What I wanted to point out were the "bookmarks" on the left for all 16 miners and 16 "tabs" at the "top" of my browser.  I have the tabs in order from left to right for rigs 1 through 16.

Just thought I would share this with other newbies like myself with multiple rigs.
