Freiburg 3:0 Union Berlin 28mins...
It did not take so long before once the league toppers proved to all of us that they are not top 4 candidates. Every week Union Berlin keeps sliding down the table and this week, within the first 20mins they have already recieved a red card and conceded 3 goals.
Grifo becomes the hero to score hatrick within the first 20mins of start of the game.
When next you want to place a bet, consider Union Berlin as an ordinary team they used to be before now.
The punishment that Union took today from Freiburg is harsh! The match ended 4-1 for Freiburg, two of them scored in the first minutes of the game.. Then a red card for Union and the situation got worse. Bayern is now first with 4 points difference from Freiburg which is resisting until now  Union as expected started to collapse but we should say that it require some time to see it happening. Leipzig in the other hand silently slipped to the third place, we didn't see it here in the past with its repetitive failure. Inter made Atalanta suffer more and they are now stuck outside the top 4 and luckily for them that Roma didn't win or else they would be in 7th position Juve - Lazio will start soon and both teams need these 3 points a lot. Juve to the third place and Lazio to stay at the same level as Milan. Meanwhile, Napoli is flying alone, with comfortable 8 points difference, they can sleep well in this international break up to the next year. |

EPL games temporarily ended with the international break starting, with ManU and Aston Villa precious victories.
Villa particularly made a good job picking 3 points from Brighton in an away game!
Until now, Arsenal and Newcastle are the best teams that made a good surprise this season. At the opposite, Liverpool and Chelsea made a bad surprise so far with so many points missed. ManU, Spurs are fluctuating as usual and City made some mistakes that allowed gunners to get 5 points advantage from them.

Lens team managed a nice comeback after being behind in the first half against clerment they managed to secure their second position with a huge points difference from the third position, they are now eight points from rennes and only two points away from psg on the first position, their winning streak is still going on and they managed to make it five in a row.
Lens kept being annoying and getting closer to PSG, which is good to keep Ligue 1 a bit challenging. Rennes also had positive results lately so they are holding now the third position followed by Marseille which dropped many points lately but they are now 4th with same number of points with Monaco and Lorient
PSG will play vs Auxerre today and I think PSG will win. The other interesting game is Monaco - Marseille. Odds are in favour of Monaco but a draw is very possible too. |

Keep in mind that Juventus is still in a bad situation, they have 8-10 missing players so it will be another miracle if they can win against Lazio. The big boy Dusan will be out 100%  Yet Juve odds are better than Lazio Juve needs those points and Napoli fans will pray for them to beat Lazio so they can get more distance from Lazio. Same goes for Milan vs Fiorentina, although odds are better for Milan. Napoli plays like crazy in the serie a and overall this season. I was thinking they were gonna slip against Udinese but still they cannot lose in the league. If they dont win the title this year i dont know when they will. Juventus has a good chance to move up but it will be a close match between these two teams

Madrid needs some players badly now. Toni Kroos, Modrich and Benzema are old enough now. It is not certain whether they will be able to provide services to Madrid next season. Madrid should definitely find suitable replacements for these three players. If Madrid coach Ancelotti cannot strengthen his midfield, Madrid's performance will decline next season. Because the main strength of Madrid's good performance is their midfield.
Are you aware that these three are the firepower of Real Madrid whenever they are playing and fit. It is difficult to find a suitable replacement for them but I agree that it is something that should be planned since they are advancing in age. In my opinion, Real Madrid players needs more concentration, they have enough weapons to be able to win every game but adding more strength in the midfield would be appreciated too. |

Bayern Munich didn't make any surprise. They got a decent 2-0 win. It could have been a bigger win than this on paper because Schalke were the worst team in the league. But Schalke were lucky that they weren't demolished this time.
Well it was quite a surprise for me since I expected Bayern to score more goals..at least 4. After all they got their 3 points so it doesn't matter. Musiala was really good today as he made two assists. He is a great talent at this very young age for Bayern Munich. There are already some teams thinking of making an offer for him such as Liverpool. However it wouldn't be much realistic to expect Bayern Munich to sell him already now.
Even Choupo-Moting is doing good job by somehow replacing Lewandowski with scoring in the last games. Obviously Musiala scored more goals and made more assists. There is Gnabry also that made many goals. Bayern overall has a good team, it is unfortunate to see them facing PSG in Champions League and see one of those leaving that competition early.. |

Arsenal are unstoppable. They also had a comfortable win over Wolverhampton. Martin Ødegaard starred with two goals scored. Together with this win, they retained their first place in the league. They were also a little more relaxed with Manchester City losing, increasing their points difference. They entered the league break for the World Cup with high motivation.
A bad ending before the international break for City, they lost 1-2 vs Brentford, even without counting the last moment goal, 1 point won't look good to catch up Arsenal.. Gunners increased the points gap to 5 which isn't big but reassuring for a game or two. Newcastle is making an impressive effort, they are third now, they beat up Chelsea to get to this level. Otherwise, Liverpool is recovering at the same time when Chelsea is getting deeper in troubles  |

Seems Senegal are desperate to bring Sadio mane to the world cup, just like in the last AFCON tournament that he was used despite him having a concussion on the pitch. Mane was just added to the list of players called up for the world cup and it got me worried, Isn't Senegal overworking Mane. I understand he's their players and he's needed if Senegal was to even dream about going far in the tournament but shoudn't the wellbeing of Sadio Mane be considered here.
I have been following Mane injury and even though isn't a serious one but it requires few weeks to recover. He will be evaluated next week tho and the medical staff will update his situation and accordingly we will know whether he could play or not. I believe that Senegal is hoping that he could play at least 1-2 matches vs Ecuador +/- Qatar. The other scenario is that he can join them in case they pass the group stage. It is quite risky obviously for him and Bayern isn't happy about that. They already warned Senegal about the current situation.. |

While Napoli were in the lead with 38 points after 14 matches, the race for second place got very hot. For now, Lazio is in second place with 30 points and Milan is in third place with 30 points. There is only 4 points difference between 7th place Roma and second place Lazio. Napoli leads the race alone. Serie A is in such a position that anything can happen for second place.
Even the first place isn't guaranteed since Napoli has a bad history of dropping points after being in the first rank, well this year is quite different since their attack line is very effective. It is good to see them playing like that. Lazio will play vs Juve in this round, Atalanta vs Inter, Milan and Roma have challenging games too so the ranking might heavily change before the international break! |

Dortmund have a chance to recover from their defeat last week but despite have a better chance of winning today's match, they must not let their guard down because Monchengladbach are not that will be easily beat even though Monchengladbach have suffered consecutive defeats in several matches.
You never know how a match having M'Gladbach in it will end Dortmund are playing away and willing to win after their bad defeat vs Wolfsburg in the previous round, bookies are supporting them to win also. M'Gladbach lost vs Bochum in the previous round and won only one game from the last 5 matches. Everything say that Dortmund is favourite here. People will be surprised by this World Cup. The smaller squad will catch the larger team off guard. I've made the decision to hold off on making any predictions until after the first and second group stage legs. I'll be rooting for France, the reigning champion, as well as Portugal, who I think will win the title. Currently, this is my favorite team. I'll be backing the entire African team as well. I'm anticipating a fantastic World Cup. Well if European teams perform in World Cup the way they did in Nations League then it will be a drama for them there. I find the overall performance and skills for European teams lower than the past. Conmebol teams have the same skills even though the quality of their players is different. African teams can go to the next stage but not further. Senegal and Ghana could pass imo since their groups are somehow easier comparing to the others. Morocco might get a chance although it looks a bit harder. |

In fact Cadiz are not a very strong team to make Real Madrid lose in yesterday's match, and Real Madrid's victory in that match is something that is easy to predict. Based on what I saw, Real Madrid really dominated the match even though the strikers didn't score but the 2 goals from Militao and Kross were enough to make a good ending for Madrid.
Now that Barcelona & Real Madrid are 2 points apart in the standings, it won't be much to get them to compete. The number of goals for both teams is 33, but Barcelona has several other statistics ahead of Real Madrid.
Barcelona best stats are their low received goals. Getting 5 goals after 14 rounds is quite interesting. Just to make it more interesting, 3 goals was scored by Real Madrid so Barcelona received goals in only 3 games from 14! The closest team is Villarreal receiving 10 goals then 12 for Betis then come the others with +14 goals. Since the international break started, Real Madrid ended up in the second place but 2 goals difference is nothing. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid are separated from the others by +9 goals. Comparing to the previous season, Bilbao advanced, ATM and Villarreal lost positions and Sevilla cannot be seen anywhere up there.. |

The match between Lyon and Nice will take place shortly after. I think this match will be enjoyable. The two renowned teams of Ligue 1 are Lyon and Nice. And this season the point difference between these two teams is only 1. The head-to-head matches between these two teams have been very competitive. And I think today's match will also be competitive. However, if we compare the recent performance of these two teams, the Nice team will be ahead. Because after the defeat against PSG, Nice is unbeaten in the last 5 matches. Nice can get points against Lyon today if they can continue the consistency of the previous match.
Pretty two unstable teams facing each others. Lyon has the home advantage otherwise as said, Nice is unbeaten for a while. Their previous stats are divided but bookies are supporting Lyon to win this game. The odds are even quite big, Lyon around 1.7 and Nice around 4.9 which is quite weird imo. |

Leverkusen and Xavi Alonso needs those 3 points today against Koln and so far the game is not looking promising for them at all even if we are only 25 minutes into the game. More than this , Koln are in a bad situation as well and they needs points today as well but Alonso might be in trouble if we won't snatch at least 1 point from Koln. Frankfurt - Hoffenheim should be the game of the night in Bundesliga and I'm expecting a lot of goals from this game and ready to trow a bet on both teams to score in first half.  I left Koln leading with 1 goal vs Leverkusen and I was like here we go again but now I see they managed to score 2 goals and win! Second win, did Leverkusen recover finally? In the other game, Frankfurt already scored 2 goals in less than 10 minutes and Hoffenheim looks in a bad situation! |

Two straight red cards since the first half, it clearly will not benefit Sevilla in this match. But really, I see they still seem likely to score another goal after Rafa Mir managed to close the first half with 1-2.
Playing with 9 players after 35 minutes of the game is hard, yet Sevilla scored 1 goal and they are 1-2 vs Sociedad. I find it interesting how they managed to resist. Teams are generally cracked once they lose 1 player. It is 2 here! |
