Grizzlies will be having the game of there life with GSW aggressiveness. I'm curious on far they can go against GSW.

We are going to find out soon, Grizzlies defeated the Warriors in the play-in, I think the Warriors here will be making their revenge. With a healthy Curry, Green, and Thompson, that's all that is needed to win the game. The good thing here is both teams could play small ball as they don't have long center.

I'm also curious how far could the Memphis Grizzlies go against the Warriors this time, surely they don't have enough experience in the playoffs compared to the Warriors who became a back-to-back champion few years ago. This could be an advantage of the young players of Grizzlies so that they can learn against the heavy teams but looking in the current line-up, I know the Warriors will be the one to move up this round.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 30, 2022, 05:19:00 PM

That would certainly open more doors on his career if he will be able to defeat the current pound for pound king and an undisputed fighter, Saul Canelo Alvarez. Towards that way is not an easy thing to accomplish but its reward to reap is definitely hard to deny as his name will be hyped continuously over the years to come.

Though Canelo will ask for a rematch to seek some revenge for that loss.
A fight once lost is lost for ever - one should give their best in the most important fights of their lives.
This is the lesson which we need to learn in the life as well. Giving the best and never giving up. But apart from hardwork there is another important factor which is called LUCK and it is the most important of all.

Yes a fight that was once lost is lost forever but in-terms of boxing that quote may not be applicable at all times because even if you're lost, you can also avenge that defeat in-order to prove yourself again but that also depends on the result of the 1st fight if a rematch is indeed interesting to make and I bet these boxers we are talking now will really give their best and to entertain the crowd/fans.
2443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez Title Unification Fight (April 30) on: April 30, 2022, 05:00:51 AM
Here is the video of the weigh-in.

Both fighters make the weight and they looked trim.

Oscar said that they are ready to bang if needed and well box if needed as well so I think we can witness world-class boxing a few hours from now, good luck with your bets as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9f6477jNvs&ab_channel=TopRankBoxing

Yep, I watched this few hours ago. I know that both could make their into their weigh-in and they are definitely ripped especially Oscar Valdez. Shakur is will be always Shakur who's smirks a lot unlike Valdez who don't even show his teeth nor smiled to the audience, he is serious as ever. Well, good luck to the both of them.
2444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 30, 2022, 03:23:15 AM
It's looks like the voting is tie, 12 a piece. So definitely, boxing bettors are not to sure in this fight. Maybe there will be fans of Kambosos because of his huge win against Lopez or Haney because he has the ability to play defense and could survived George power early as he can turtle and try to break Kambosos mentally in this fight. So we will see, definitely an exciting match for us.
This is surely an exciting fight because people believe that it's not only a one-sided fight. Both are champions, so it's a fair match although Kambasos is the underdog per betting sites. Beating Lopez is not easy but Kambasos were able to do that, it was a bloody fight but he survive and won the fight.
Yes, they are both champions with no stains in their respective records and in this fight only one will survive as a draw is somehow not possible on this fight (hope so). Anyways, I'm still eyeing whom would I choose as they are both dominant and have a different skill set that is unique to each other, guess I'll pick few days before the fight schedule.

Isn't it hard to pick as to who is going to be the winner?
Both are good champions in their own right and Haney seems to be the favorite. But George has some serious power and dominant against Lopez.
Maybe I will take the same route, I will not bet early, I still have to look at them at the weigh in and see as to who is not intimidated per their body language. No need to rush our bets here.
Maybe it is a bit to early for him to decide and as for me, I haven't picked which side I will go too as it is still to early and there's no pressure really as we still have more than 1 month to decide which one. Yes, I'm also looking forward on their weigh-in as there will be some glimpse on which is more dominant by just looking at them doing a face to face.
I don't know about that but for me I am going to side with the more experienced and safe to play Devin Haney for betting reasons but if it's for an entertaining fight then I don't doubt Kambosos there because he is the aggressive fighter than Haney who just play defense most of the time.

Anyone got the Sixers at handicap? Not sure what is the spread but it seems that they are going to cover it as their lead balloon to more than 20 points.

Damn, Raptors losing steam in the 3rd and 4th quarter, I was thinking on betting on them at live, but it's good idea to stay away from this game.

The pregame spread was only -1 for the Sixers, they are a slight favorite because the Raptors beat them twice in a row already. Even in the live betting, you will still get a good odds because they completely dominated the game.

That is if you think before hand that the Sixers are going to win. Because they have lost the last 2 games. But what a turn of events for Toronto. There are no legs and everyone thought that they are going to win because it's in their homecourt. But congrats to those who see the Sixers coming back strong and win by a huge lead.

Sixers overpower the Raptors in the second half  there's nothing that the Raptors can do with that huge rally and tough

defense that the Sixers shown them, they all exhausted and can't do anything to fight back, that huge lead that starts in the third quarte

continue till the last few minutes of the game, Sixers are all in their cheat mode, whoever inside the court are really doing their part to

help the team. Great win for Sixers supporters !

The Raptors cannot recover that much lead especially that they are already exhausted by the Sixers rally that they cannot even stop, Embiid and the whole team closed the 3rd quarter with already more than 20+ lead and that still grows until the end of 4th quarter.

Though there's some sad news this time because Embiid has been out indefinitely for the 2nd round against the Miami Heat because of some injury. I hope that he can recover fast because he is a very important piece of the teams success and a big man in the center.
2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 29, 2022, 06:53:13 PM
Yes, bookmakers allow you to bet on Canello with odds of 1.3, while on Bivol as much as 4.7. This suggests that Canelo is a clear favorite and some advantage in physical data does not mean anything. As you rightly noted, the challenger has three times fewer fights, and the champion has already beaten everyone he can, and for him it will be a fight with another average fighter.

Canelo's 1.3 odds are still high for a heavy favorite. Usually, odds on that level of boxer play on a range at 1.00-1.1.

This is the first time I saw a Champion with no defeats was given 4.7 odds. That's how far the distance bookies see on these 2 champions, especially on Canelo Alvarez. I wonder what will happen if Bivol will able to upset Canelo.

It will shock the boxing community for sure.

If that will happen, his name will be hyped up. I remember how Ugas get that attention after beating Pacquiao. It will be more for Bivol since Alvarez established his name as one of the legend of pound for pound and still active and still at his prime, upsetting the heavy favorite would impact on his career.

For that, he will enjoy more money fights, offers that will continue to suck money out from the fans and gamblers.

Too early to discuss, though, let's see if how both fighters will show competitiveness once they are both inside the ring.

2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 29, 2022, 06:27:59 PM
There are three important games tonight and the competition is fired-up for all of those series too. They all are going on 3-2 now. 76ers, Suns and Mavericks are leading their series 3-2 now and they can all finish their job tonight. I think that 76ers and Suns will finish it but I'm not sure about Mavericks. Jazz can carry the series to the seventh game of the series. But hopefully, we can have three competitive and quality games. The playoff round has been going on really nicely so far. I hope this competition level can be maintained until the end.

The Raptors tried to struggle in the first half, but it looks like the 76ers are going to end this series tonight as they lead the Raptors by 28 points in the final quarter. As for the Jazz, I think they are quite capable of defeating the Mavs tonight. Of course, this will only be possible if the Jazz's 3-point shooting percentage is much better compared to the last match.

Yup, Sixers cannot afford to go home defeated and risk the dangerous spot on Game 7, they surely don't want to be the one crying after having a 3-0 lead. Harris, Harden and of course Embiid made a double double and carried the team to entirely dominate the Raptors not to mention Maxey who also made 25 points for the team.

On the other hand, Jazz made a good run in the first half but they ultimately lost that in the 2nd half where the Dallas gained a momentum to dump them back to back scores. Was a tight game though because Luka only contributed 24 points, bit lower.
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 29, 2022, 02:12:02 PM
If I would act now, I would rather take the Bucks because IMO they are undervalued. They don't have Middleton but look how they dominated the Bulls, so I think they deserve to have at least 5.00 odds, but who am I to complain, I'll just probably take it.  Smiley

Referring to how Milwaukee Bucks dominated the Chicago Bulls is not enough. The topic is about NBA Champion and the first round of the playoffs for the Bucks just got ended. There are still 2 teams to defeat before entering the Finals. The next round for them is a tough challenge as they will face the Boston Celtics which just came from sweeping another favorite, the Brooklyn Nets.

But regardless of what team they will face, if you really believed that Milwaukee Bucks will win the title this year, just place your bet without hesitation.

If you act now, it's not 5.00 odds but more of it based on the currently provided odds.

Not having Middleton is a pretty big piece of the puzzle.  I wouldn't feel comfortable betting on them to win it all until the 76ers are out of their way and the Warriors show a dip in play.  That is with Middleton being healthy.  Right now, I think the Warriors have the edge to win it all, but there are still a lot of games left.  The last several years in the NBA it feels like the title has been decided by which team can stay healthy.  With the Bucks already facing this test, history may not be on their side.  Giannis is the most unstoppable player left in the playoffs though, so if anyone can carry their team to a Finals win, it's him.

We aren't in the Semi-Final now so we shouldn't have to worry about that much and they are still in the 2nd round of eliminations against the Boston Celtics who swept the Brooklyn Nets on the 1st round leaving the favorite duo resting for the rest of the season and without Middleton is surely a challenge that they have to bear but they can still manage knowing that Giannis is still healthy.
2449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez Title Unification Fight (April 30) on: April 29, 2022, 01:22:39 PM
Shakur need to be careful on this fight because surely he will have a big problem in the middle of the fight although he has speed and power punches as well but the technique there's a big difference and for me it's quite skeptical if we will make a comparison between two fighters, wherein surely there will be KO and maybe by Valdez.
That's what I wanted to see, technical fighters are boring to watch, except LOMA, so hopefully this fight is going to be a candidate for the fight of the year. I like the fact that they are giving us a good fight, an aggressive fighter versus a technical one, let's see if Shakur would still be able to do his thing when the pressure is high as we all know Valdez just loves to attack.
Hopefully this fight will be an entertaining to watch and we can see what we expect from this fight as both of them is a different fighter of themselves, Shakur should not only rely on his speed because Valdez will read that movements for sure and could give him a dangerous spot if Shakur is a bit too aggressive as the latter will just be observing him most of the time before he starts to throw few connecting punches that could surely hurt the favorite.
2450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 29, 2022, 12:52:19 PM

I'm really seeing a rematch even if Kambosos will lose or Haney.

It still going to depend on the match, if its a close fight and the result is a majority or a split decision then it deserves a rematch but if one boxer totally dominated the other boxer, I don't think there will be interest in a rematch, we all know promoters they want to see if the fight will generate interest if not they will just shelve it or the purse will be lower than the first fight.

Yes, I agree. I'm just saying that these two boxers will somehow face each other in a rematch soon because I'm really seeing that this will be a tight and close bout as their abilities and capabilities don't have that much difference, the only difference is their style because Kambosos is aggressive while Haney is more on defensive. But as said, this is just a pure speculations until the announcer announces the result.

As you have said, their style is very different so for me this might be not a close fight. If Kambosos power can overwhelmed Haney then this might be quick and might not last 12 rounds. But if Haney can frustrate Kambosos with his defensive style then maybe this could be a boring fight. So it will be up for Kambosos, if he can perform similar to the Lopez fight I think he has a good chance to win by KO.

Yes it's true that Kambosos can overwhelm Haney in the first few rounds if he can be unreadable during that stage where he's the most aggressive but he should be careful though because he may get caught off guard by Haney's surprise counter punch because the latter got the reach advantage to give Kambosos a warning punch or worse a finale punch if by chance. Both of them can make the fight ends in KO.

That was an easy for if you bet on the Sixers, but prior to that, it was the decision making that is very hard because Raptors are playing at home and they have dominated the Sixers in the last 2 games, so it's really tough and you pick just based on your instinct, none other.

I understand because it was not easy to bet against the home team now that we are in the playoffs. The advantage of the home team is they have the crowd that supports them, so they will be more motivated to play but what we saw on that game is that it's a total domination, Raptors has no answer after they were down huge in the 3rd quarter, and it continued in the last quarter.
Aside from the fact that the Raptors are playing on their homecourt is the fact that they beat the Sixers on Game 5 with a double figure lead and because of that it was really a tough choice whom to bet on their 6th game. When I saw that the Sixers have dumped them in the 3rd quarter with 20 points, I said to myself that it was too late for the Raptors to recover and I was correct.

As I said, number won't lie. Valdez have more IQ in the ring as he do have more experience than Shakur who's just starting to build his own career.

This may be true but, how many champions have lost their belts because of relying of them being an experienced fighter? A hard hit on a chin can knock him out, so it is still early to tell whether the odds of Shakur's winning is zero. Let's wait and see for ourselves if Shakur really has the chances of winning which is I am rooting for.

Agreed but if we're not basing it on their experience then where will we base it? We have this discussion to help the bettors like us and give a good opinion. I understand why you said that because you're rooting for Shakur, I won't argue you on that. However this is a discussion about these two and I'm not a fan of Valdez either but seriously looking on their stats it makes me side with Valdez too.

Nobody was saying that Shakur's chances is zero though Grin
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 26, 2022, 03:32:23 PM
Tonight, Nets might be playing their last game in their series against Celtics. Because Celtics are already leading the series 3-0. This was rather unexpected for me to tell the truth. Because I would have expected a bigger challenge by Nets thanks to Irving and Durant. But these two star players haven't played very impressively in general. As they don't play like that when their team need them the most, they are close to be eliminated by 4-0 as a result. Nets are the favourite according to the odds but I've lost my faith in them.

It's clear that Boston will pass this series, but the Brooklyn Nets will win at least one game. Today, with the support of the audience, they play one last good game and carry the series back to Boston. If they can lock Tatum on offense, if Kyrie and KD shoot well, they win the match. Even if they lose, no one blames them because they didn't have big goals this season.

Well you got that right because the Boston have been successful of eliminating the Brooklyn Nets but unfortunately the Nets haven't won even 1 game because they got swept by the Celtics. There's no difference actually on the game 4 because Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart have been guarding the Nets duo heavily so that they cannot have a clean shot. KD replaced Drummond as the center but that didn't matter as well. Too bad for the Nets, they surely regretted what happened to their team in the regular season.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 26, 2022, 02:07:46 PM
It was really surprising because the teams that we have thought that could be more competitive turns out to be dominated by the ones who aren't showing their strengths in the regular season. As an example, it's the Nets who is one of the favorites to win the season against the Celtics who clinched just few weeks before the regular season ends and now that they are facing each other, no one have saw it coming that this would be the situation of the Nets.

I agree about the Celtics and Warriors to win this season but for Miami Heat? I'll for that team for now.
Exactly @freedomgo!!
I believe that.. some NBA fans have created a lot of expectation with some teams (including me), for example Nets and Lakers! It never crossed my mind and these teams could have this terrible performance!!

I believe that the teams I mentioned above may have a decent chance of being NBA champions, or at least reaching the conference finals!!

It's not that we created a lot of expectation, those teams you've mentioned are the ones who created that hope we expecting because their line-up is crazy especially the Lakers who built as superteam but got the opposite result, actually two teams of the Los Angeles didn't manage to get in the playoffs. Now we have the Nets who have been dominating the league since the season started because of their Big Three that at the end became the Big Upset.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 25, 2022, 04:12:12 PM
Just to let you guys know, there will be a rematch clause according to this article:

Quote
The 23-year-old Haney’s legitimate ambition led to him signing contracts for what could be back-to-back fights against Australia’s Kambosos in his home country.

https://www.boxingscene.com/haney-i-inspire-young-old-guys-other-side-street-stuff-out-window--165748

So that's how confident in this fight, if he beats Kambosos, he will more willing to fight him again in his own soil and beat him the second time.

That's a good one, if there will be a home cooking in Kambasos home, then most probably Haney would have the same treatment in favor for him once the rematch will happen. But of course, we don't want to see a dirty officiating or judging because it's a disgrace of the boxing organization.

Another good thing is that we will see a great fight 2 times because of the rematch clause. It's like the Fury vs Wilder fight which even reach a trilogy and it was a high generating revenue fight. I'm sure I will not be bored watching this fight knowing how aggressive Kambasos is and he does have a good stamina to finish the 12 rounds if he would not be badly beaten by Haney.
Yes, as long as there would be no cooking show then this one will be definitely worth to watch and won't be a boring fight indeed. I still believe though that Australia will not do such thing in this fight to embarrass Kambosos because he already have the skillset which could defeat Haney if he will get caught by a serious punch coming from Kambosos himself. I'm really seeing a rematch even if Kambosos will lose or Haney.

I'll share right here a post that - created in another topic!!

I confess... this first round of the playoffs is surprising me, because the teams that I thought could be champions had a terrible performance!

Is it too early to bet that the Celtics, Warriors, maybe Miami Heat can be the champions of this season in the NBA!!?

It was really surprising because the teams that we have thought that could be more competitive turns out to be dominated by the ones who aren't showing their strengths in the regular season. As an example, it's the Nets who is one of the favorites to win the season against the Celtics who clinched just few weeks before the regular season ends and now that they are facing each other, no one have saw it coming that this would be the situation of the Nets.

2458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Fiat Will Always Be The Norm on: April 25, 2022, 08:17:26 AM
fiat looks ordinary to those who don't care about the existence of crypto. they think crypto is the same as stocks, so it doesn't interfere with fiat. especially in areas where life is still primitive, which is still lagging behind in technology and only uses fiat as a transaction tool in their country of course fiat will run normally. For those of us who already know the benefits of crypto, of course, we no longer prioritize fiat. we only use fiat to buy goods or daily bills. the rest prefer to invest in crypto.

Aside from those people who don't give any care on the existence of cryptocurrency, there are also people around the world that don't even know what is a cryptocurrency or they haven't met that word before and people like that usually lives in 3rd world countries or beyond that who only knows about fiat and nothing else. They cannot even afford to buy phones to keep up with the technology advancement of the world. How would they keep up if they cannot even afford to eat a full meal 3x a day.

That is why we are lucky to know about this existence and we should not be selfish about this knowledge, also it is ideal that we have to keep those people informed so that they can also avoid the inflation and carry the will of SN.

Never doubt if Shiba will pump again even though it is currently dump, this is common and when pumps will usually be more than the current price even made a new ATH record, with the holder of more than 1 million I am optimistic that Shiba will continue to shine.
all this coins will rise again no hope is lost in Shiba the thing that will make any other coin start to the rise is when the bitcoin and ethereum start rising because people don't buy coin when it comes
That's because Shiba is just hype and everyone was riding on the hype thinking they can recover their loses from investing on DOGE. I don't have hope on these coins actually, they only rise up during the bull market but when the market starts to correct, they'll lose stability.

This makes me want to bet with Romero, with that kind of odds, it looks so enticing to make me want to bet with it. I hope that once I bet, he would win, lol. Even though it can be a trap, it's still something that you could take into account if you have extra money.

It's not a trap because we all know that Davis is the better fighter in this fight and due to his great performance in the past, that makes him very popular and probably resulted him to being overvalued in this fight although I believe he could win. However, since this is a sport, and upset could happen, maybe try betting only an amount you can afford to lose so you'll enjoy the fight.
