I started shorting @ $399 and kept shorting the whole way up.  I could have shorted twice as much, but after covering @$380, I know have enough to safely short Three times as much if we come anywhere close to $420 again.  I also transferred in some coins I was using for arbitrage just so I have some extra margin.

Try it again, Bulls. I double dare you.  See if I'm bluffing.

(To give the above man credit, his was an act of humility.)

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs etc.

Sermon on the Mount, an outlook not seen from any particular height.

imagine we wake up to 400$ bitcoin lol  Grin
Very possible by the rate it's going.  The only question now is, when will it start heading the other way?

The Paypal spike around $450?

Ah yes, Bitcoin, push through those resistance lines like Napoleon. Your star rises, and the world has yet to see its perilous heights.

i work in the gun industry... and i disagree with u. i think once you stop brushing your teeth with fluoride u will gain more use of your brain organ and your vision will clear and you will see through all the bs.. not to mention removing a leading cause of cancer out of your life by not absorbing fluoride into your blood stream under your tongue every morning ... your like someone who believes everything the mainstream media tells you to believe on tv.. we couldnt even get this high when greece and the entire world was on the brink of economic collapse and your trying to claim this rise in price is cuz.. just because. you guys cant even come up with a good reason. best one i seen yet was cuz microsoft chose eutherium or whatever its called.. talk about grasping for straws.

I'm going to brush my teeth with twice the flouride if this is the result!

Please add Bitcoin Tracker EUR to XBT Bot.

I'll see what I can do. Volume on the Euro ETF has been pretty much pants though: http://www.nasdaqomxnordic.com/etp/etn/etn-historical?Instrument=SSE113749

In my opinion, you aren't going to get a true and accurate reading on bitcoinwisdom charts in terms of moving averages bc the moving average calculations change every time you change from 1h to 2h, 4h, 12h, 1d, 1w etc. Maybe if you are a member it's different.

I guess you lose some resolution if you want to see a time interval shorter than the period of your moving average, but the readings aren't really untrue or inaccurate.

Oh, I thought that was the shape of his head. Couple of bolts, and you have yourself a Mary Wollstonecraft monster right there.

Yes, I'm sure millionaires that have probably been mining since the double digits days are quite bothered by a price drop.

.... or maybe not http://www.coindesk.com/bitfury-details-100-million-georgia-data-center/

Quote
BitFury will invest $100m in building a 100MW bitcoin mining data centre in Georgia

Don't entertain the illusion of millionaires who roll-up dollar bills and smoke them. Any miner that shows the disregard you suggest will not stay in this game for long. Vavilov knows this only too well.

If 350-400$ was a low price back then what do you believe they consider 250 nowadays?

A lesson?

http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-miner-bitfury-raises-20-million/

Quote
Vavilov told CoinDesk that it decided not to tap its bitcoin reserves as it remains bullish on the long-term value of bitcoin.

"We believe in the long-term perspective [the price of bitcoin] will grow and we decided to not to sell [our bitcoin] at such a low price," Vavilov added.

The quote is not from that article, but from this one: http://www.coindesk.com/bitfury-raises-20-million-asic-development-mining-output/, dated 9th October 2014, when BTC was around 350-400 USD. Back then it was quite fashionable for miners to not sell their Bitcoins, what could possibly go wrong after all?
2454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2015, 07:49:54 PM
Because the largest solo miner, for example, has publicly said they don't sell their bitcoins.

... way too many doubters, feels like it's just time again.

will this hold bitcoin back? I'm thinking no.

He means the opposite of what you think he means.

The top is in on this run-up. Time to unload and take profits. Wink

As much as we'd all love a giant spike I'm afraid those days are over.

The only question is whether the next spike will be lower or higher than the last...

2459  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Halvening on: October 12, 2015, 06:04:16 PM
Things can easily snowball out of control and likely will - people buying before the halving  will be reported by the media and the publicity will  lead more people to buy.... Then the halving of surplus coins will take effect so there will be a new ALT.... and it might even shock us  all  come before the halving because people I have talked to are stocking up in advance

like the Gox bubble?

I hope because bubbles are lucrative and some people always stay when the bubble poops

Never heard of a pooping bubble...

When prices droop and you have to cut your loose, that is when a bubble poops. Smiley
2460  Economy / Speculation / Re: The most true, but also the cruel price prediction on: September 25, 2015, 05:08:06 PM
Well I hope that this planet is not very far from here because things will change drastically. Smiley

As for the Willy trades, almost everything is manipulated by the bot itself, the market followed suite when they notice that things are going to get crazy so they joined in. And that itself isn't a natural occurrence, because they figured out something is happening that's why they also bought and joined the party.

Could we rerun history, I would suggest that a bubble of similar magnitude would emerge without either Willy or Marcus. It cannot be argued that the November bubble was entirely natural though, when these bots bought over half a million Bitcoin (or I should say gave the impression of buying).

Btw, if you believe they were solely responsibly, it is worth noting that the number of coins these bots 'bought' in a year is approximately equal to the number that will be sliced from supply next year.
