What type of information do you need to know that Initial Coin Offerings are trash the majority of the time? 80% of ICOs in 2017 were scams. To put that into respective, that's 4 out of every 5. Why do these companies need $80 million in the first place? Let's be realistic, most things don't need to be on the blockchain. Satoshi didn't need to do an Initial Coin Offering to make Bitcoin into a bustling success. He started off putting in his own money. What do ICOs actually have to bring to the table? The people that are making these threads with a positive implication are probably apart of the scams, or they're risking their money with the odds stacked entirely against them. Do you think it's necessary for a crypto-to-crypto only exchange (like Shapeshift) to require compliance with KYC/AML laws? AFAIK, cryptocurrencies aren't subject to the control of governments, since they were designed to eliminate middleman. Also, they're not considered legal tender and real currencies (unlike Fiat currencies like the USD).
Because of this, I wonder why governments are requiring KYC for crypto-to-crypto exchanges if cryptocurrencies are not issued or controlled by a central authority? Of course, this would be extremely necessary to implement within fiat-to-crypto exchanges, but I don't any reason why it’s necessary to enforce KYC/AML on crypto-only exchanges.
Can someone enlighten me about this?
KYC is only one way to know that your customers is human not bot, second thing is if something wrong happen ( specially with law ) there's proof to show who the player. KYC not easy because not all of us can accept it and scare if their data used for another purposes by exchanges. I believe many exchanges already comes up with no KYC, take one and do your activity. |

Overbought it doesn't mean good idea to buy because you should know when the price goes up and how you can deal if the price goes down more deeper. Read the trend is the most important analysis before enter the market and suggest you to do that, short/ long strategy it doesn't matter just read the trend first, agree? |

You can't survive but use your time and money out side crypto to get income, as alternative and also built your skill using another way. Gold Market: (19-01-19):
Till now we are in a range between 1301-1276 level! We have entered into this range after making 3 small impulsive moves & you may notice the last impulsive was relative high than the others two. That means, buyers are accumulating here. So, after these 3 impulsive moves I think, this range will follow the previous trend; that means bullish trend keep continuing. This is why I seem; intraday support level 1276.32 is a good level; although we need to count first the 1st 2 sessions of Monday before any trade. In this case, 1301.50 is the most probable area of 1st TP & the next level is (next resistant level) 1321.90.
Now, I’m a newbie when I’ll be a junior member then I’ll add relevant pictures with my analysis for sure.
(Note: please don’t open your trade unless you are very sure on the market trend; I don’t suggest you open & close any trade based on my trading analysis only)
I agree with you, understand trend is very important, like or not this is the only way to keep your asset safe. Most people only use strategy but avoid trend, that's wrong could be nightmare. Read trend can do by technical or fundamental and know market works can do by practice. Keep going and never give up because it is worth for our future. |

Learn about basic knowledge ( money management, mindset, method ), practice with demo account and enter the real market with real money. I heard in stocks, this is called shorting. But i read if you short, you could lose a huge amount of money. Could you do this with bitcoin? Example my thoughts were hey its the holidays, so most likely ppl will withdraw money and thus btc drops. So i figure around now, btc price would drop.
I think you use momentum strategy to get income, no big deal but I'm afraid every momentum has different impact ( not always same ). Use momentum strategy need big money and fundamental analysis to get good analysis. I'll not teach you about it but how about you try it by your self and see what happen. Not always work but you can learn something. |

Disclaimer: I already own 15 or so different altcoins for long term hold, that won’t sell for several years.
I’m looking to purchase before the fork, investing maybe $1k, for a short term profit. Hoping the prices rises, I can sell before the dump. If there is the drop in price, these can also be held longer term until profitable.
Thoughts?
Use your $ 1k for back up fund, when something goes wrong use it to fix not buy another coins for invest/ trade. Hard to say when people use all asset because that is wrong need wise mindset about money management for the worst. People will suggest you with bitcoin, xrp or ltc but not me. Use it for recovery is better step before nightmare comes to you. |

Many trading strategy fails and people get bankrupt but I believe this is reality. Everything has trend and when trends end dump will become the answer. Trends end because big player leave market to find another place making money and most of us will follow them. Second reason many countries still not agree with crypto and make people take option leave to protect their asset. Leave crypto now take vacation and come back again when ready. |

What happens to unallocated bounty tokens?
There have been several bounty campaigns where some participants do not qualify after being screened, such as those who fail to pass the kyc due to multiple accounts or other reasons, detected bots or cheaters who use other people's details.
Most times, stakes would have been calculated and tokens allocated on the spreadsheet to be submitted for distribution, before the screening process is completed. Which then means that some tokens will be left undistributed.
Where do these tokens then go to?
In my opinion, in order to reward the faithful and sincere hunters, I want to suggest that all the screening should first be completed, before stakes are calculated and prior to allocation of tokens to bounty participants.
So stakes should not be calculated for cheaters.
This is just my opinion, it is opened to discussion.

They will burn it but sometimes they keep going but using share system, meaning dividend. Developer know that as risk and they already have solution, burn it and create again. The problem is burn token meaning they not success with the project, people will think twice before join their next project. Become developer is not easy but keep going is more important than burn. |
