2461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why can a piece of news from the Chinese government affect the price of Bitcoin? on: July 11, 2021, 04:14:47 PM
On July 6, the Central Bank of China closed down a Beijing-based company that provides software services for virtual currency transactions, and reiterated that no institution within its jurisdiction should engage in such transactions.
After the People's Bank of China reiterated its long-standing anti-crypto stance and warned institutions not to provide services to crypto-related companies, Bitcoin cut its earlier gains.
Why does the negative news from China always affect the price of Bitcoin? When does Bitcoin become less sensitive to negative news?
I think maybe when everything is well balanced out. Just look at the mining of Bitcoin for example, you will see that there are lots of miners located in China than every other part of the world. My research once shows that around 75% of miners are in China, that’s really huge, and when started their crackdown on Bitcoin it was sure going to affect the price of Bitcoin because they are big part of the community.

If it was just a small part of the community, and let’s say that their miners were contributing somewhere around 5% to 10 percent, it is not going to affect the market badly like that. We have seen other countries that their governments took similar actions against Bitcoin, but nothing happened, if there is, we didn’t even feel it.

Giroud very close to join Milan but not for free as Milan hoped.

Only 2 m, but still. Money.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1413176757100949505
What ! 2mil only ?? Couldn't they have done better....

Afaik Other premier league teams could have offered better because going to ac Milan might not get him the game time he would want .

To be honest I would have preferred he went back to France for one last dance because his reaching his end of his career..it would be nice the locals get to see settle in.
I am not sure if it is smart move considering they could have played him as well? I mean this guy definitely worths more and it can help your team as well so why give him away for 2 million? Did he not wanted to play in Chelsea at all? Because if he was willing to play in chelsea then you can use this guy a lot, even if it is just cup games he still deserves more money whereas Milan will probably keep playing him whenever Ibra is injured or even more than him, Ibra is quite old I am afraid so it wouldn't be a shock. I just have to say it wasn't a good deal for Chelsea to sell him.

However I understand that the contract was over and they signed up a bit more to sell him and that is a smart move, that part I can agree with but the reality is that if they kept him they could have benefited from him more than 2 million if you ask me, it was still cheap transfer.
2463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 11, 2021, 09:21:27 AM
I do not play gambling too much time like other members because I do not have good luck.
how do you know it ? not all times your going have badluck and the only way to know is to play gambling but in gambling  badlucks are welcome too  but what important is that you enjoy every session you make .
if there are hindrance that can avoid us playing a gambling that is if we are busy .
I fully understand that entertainment or fun is the main motive behind gambling but I don't understand how can one have fun during losing sessions. I mean yes I don't gamble to make money but obviously, you cannot enjoy it when you are losing. In fact, when I bet on sports and my team or player loses, I often times stop watching the game itself. For example, if I bet on Djokovic to win 1st set and he loses, I won't watch the whole match in frustration of losing the bet. Not because I am addicted but I am upset, simple.

My current signature campaign does not require me to post in the gambling section but I love posting in the gambling section to share my experience and to participate in discussion on my favorite gambling site and gambling technique and methods, I used to be part of a gambling campaign after that campaign I always make it a point to drop here to participate in the discussion.
Yeah and unfortunately some sections have become garbage because of spamming but thankfully this section still has some good interested and like-minded gamblers who are actually interested in talking than just completing their quota.
2464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most profitable gambling strategies, what are they? on: July 11, 2021, 06:46:06 AM
I know that strategy will only help us have a better chance of winning something from gambling. But in the end I dare say that no strategy will benefit us in the long term.
It's good that you understand that strategies will only make us feel like having a better chance of winning but actually it's just an illusion and yeah some strategies might last longer while others could be explosive and burn your bankroll in minutes or even seconds.

Now coming to the strategies there is obviously that world famous martingale but there are few others I use of which I don't know the name so I will list them and hope they help you.

1- Win chance, 66% odds: 1.49 or 1.5 and increase 3x after every loss. This works well but the problem is that 3x quickly eats the balance if you get a 5-6 loss streak.

2- Win chance, 90% odds: 1.1 and increase 10x on loss. This is very explosive and I suggest at least keep 4 losses ability like if you have $100 then start with a $0.1 base bet. Still explosive but works well at times for me.

Apart from this, you may do pre-rolls (small bets) and once you lose 2-3 bets you can make a big one randomly.
2465  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is cryptocurrency bullish in the long-term on: July 10, 2021, 04:42:02 PM
Buffett said, never depend on single income, make investment to create a second source.
Investment is very important, and now more and more young people like to invest in cryptocurrency. Why are they so optimistic about the crypto market and how do they analyze and profit from it?
If you’re going to be looking at Bitcoin as a source of income that you can steady rely on, then you’re making a mistake. Bitcoin is like my third source of income lol, and I don’t rely much on it because I understand the risks, and this is how everyone should see it. Bitcoin is not steady in bringing profit, and it is not a source that you can rely on to make income like on monthly, weekly, or daily, because you’re not sure what would be the outcome. Unless you’re trader, but even as a trader you stand a risks of losing your money when you’re trading Bitcoin.
2466  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it good to allow Black Money to be whiten by investing in Stock? on: July 10, 2021, 01:08:16 PM
Recently, I have read an update of the budget of Bangladesh where a bill of increasing (25% now) the rate for whitening black money has been passed. According to that, one can whiten their black money by investing in stock market and they have to pay 25% fee to the government. Before this year, the rate was 10%.
Is it healthy for the economy? May be it’s healthy but it’s encouraging corruption. Is there any other country which allows such investment too?
Learn more- https://www.thedailystar.net/business/economy/stock/news/tax-raised-25-investment-black-money-stocks-2120645
Lol I have seen or heard of a thing like this. For me it is totally wrong, and it shouldn’t be allowed in any country. Any government that allows such laws in their country is trying to encourage corruption on their country.

Imagine countries where government officials are embezzling money and then using this means of paying tax to whiten it lol. That’s not good, such rules must have been set by a corrupt government so as to escape the consequences of the actions that they take. It’s nothing new that all these government are so corrupt and any single opportunity they see, they use to steal from the country’s wallet. So setting rules like this means that they are trying to encourage such things.
2467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Overview of the Market on: July 10, 2021, 11:31:06 AM
For the previous few days, Bitcoin has been stabilising between $31,000 and $40.000. The bulls are presently trying a rebound after the bears failed to keep the price below the range's support. The relative strength index's positive divergence suggests that bullish momentum is building.
Well I can’t really tell you for sure that the market will be bullish or not at any time soon. There are some movements that I have seen in the market and thought that they were signs of the market being bullish, but at the end of the day, the market even goes down and I come to realize that they are not.

The market has been quite stable since it dropped from that $60k price to $40k and $30k. Maybe the market is done with the bull run and will stay down and stable for sometime now. But that’s not a problem, you will even be happy with yourself to buy at this current price and hold for the future bull run.
2468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Dangers and Blessings of Maximalism on: July 10, 2021, 11:03:47 AM
I don’t see anything wrong with being a Bitcoin maximalist. I’m more of a Bitcoin user, although I wouldn’t say a maximalist because I have tried out other coins, but just a few of them which are Ethereum, Cardano, and Tron.

And as for Ethereum and Tron, I used the two of them because I am always using Bitcoin for transactions almost every week and the fees for transaction got really high, so I had to look for another cryptocurrency to use for transactions, and I moved to Ethereum, but when Ethereum also started getting high transaction fees, I switched to Tron. But my major investment goes to Bitcoin, though my usage of it has kind of reduced, I now mostly HODL with it, but that’s where most of my money goes to, because that’s what I love.
2469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero: A good long-term investment? on: July 10, 2021, 10:18:51 AM
Monero is one of the best (if not the best) privacy-oriented cryptocurrencies in the world. Anonymity is enforced by default, making sure your transactions are safe from prying eyes. It's no wonder why XMR is the top privacy coin in market cap. Competitors like DASH, Zcash, BEAM, and even Grin don't stand a chance against Monero's ever-growing user base and mainstream demand. Yet, non-privacy coins are faring better on the market with higher gains within such a short amount of time.
First of all I don’t think that the price of Monero (XMR) has anything to do with the government and whatever that they are doing. Personally, I don’t think that a lot of people are after privacy coins, a lot of them will prefer to invest their money in bitcoin and wouldn’t put it in all these privacy coins.

But, that doesn’t mean I am trying to say that these coins are not good, because they are very good. These days I hardly hear or see anything about them at all. It’s been a long time I have seen anyone mention ZCash, and I have already forgotten about it until I discovered.
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum revenue model on: July 10, 2021, 08:46:37 AM
Ethereum isn't a company that sells a product. It's a network made by Vitalik and with his other co founders.

The same as the other projects, they have dedicated amount of Ethereum to themselves and that's how they've made money from it. When they've raised the value of it then the Eth's that they've held.
I was just going to say that before I decided to go through the comments to see whether someone has said it or not, and here it is. This is how the founding members of a cryptocurrency usually make their own money from it. When they create the cryptocurrency they mine to an amount that they are okay with and then they store it in their wallet and when the project becomes a success and the value increases, they make their money.

It’s just like Satoshi Nakamoto that owns an address with around one million bitcoins. That’s worth billions of dollars at the current rate. So assuming he decides to withdraw it, which most of the other crypto founders has done, that’s how he’s going to make his own money.
2471  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: July 09, 2021, 06:54:48 PM
Maybe not at all cause I've observed in some poor in there that living in the high way maybe they just suffered and living Vulnerable scenario cause they know already that they live in a risk place but besides there's status their hard work and perspective that they can eat 2 times or 1 time in a day are still remains and they never think and evil deeds.
The reality is that humanity is evil, and for some reason people do not see that, the more power you give someone the more evil they usually become. Of course there are exceptions to this, of course there are people who are not evil, even if they get a lot of money, but most of the time there are evil all around the world. Sometimes it is evil like Chinese dictator killing Muslims because he can level of horrible evil, but sometimes "I avoided tax because others too and this caused poor in my nation to be even worse" level of evil.

It is cultural as well, in some nations doing small or even big evil things are seen as something okay, in other nations it seems horrible and looked down on, depends where you live. Trump for example came out and defended his 750 bucks tax return and others defended him too, do that in Germany and you would be considered crazy and a psychological evaluation would be done to you. So it is not about money, money just shows the evil inside of you to other people.
2472  Economy / Economics / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you decide to invest in for the long-term? on: July 09, 2021, 04:47:25 PM
I am a newbie who has just entered the currency circle, and I am very interested in the crypto market.
I want to try to buy some coins, but now I lack the analysis and judgment of the crypto market. Which cryptocurrency is more valuable and has appreciation potential?
Everyone will keep saying the big names, there is no way out of that. Bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, and a few like that will be the ones that will be worth something in the end and you will have to handle that, I know you wanted some other answer but there is no other answer to this question. So just keep your money in those big name ones if you are a newbie and you will be fine, I know it doesn't sound as great because most people want to make a huge return but it is fine to make a little return when you can instead of risking for a huge return then make nothing at all and even lose your money.

Nobody in their right mind will offer you advice that will be risky when you are looking for long term, but know that if you say long term and in 3 months you see 50% drop in price and get scared and sell that means you were not ready for long term, it happens and you have to still wait it out.
2473  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 08, 2021, 08:42:04 PM
I don't understand why he linked my account there.

I have nothing in common with either of those users.
He was just giving his opinion, nothing wrong with that. You don't have to mind it too much if you aren't connected with other accounts. Notblox might be onto something though because he said chain tracking isn't that hard so maybe your wallet and other user's wallet were linked to each other. I don't know and I hope if you have issues with stake, they are solved soon.

I would at least expect stake to give a concrete statement regarding the problem so either you know the case is not going to be solved in your favor or you know it's still in process and there's hope.

If anyone wonders what's my stance? Well, I have been able to withdraw decent amounts without any problems from stake but I do understand some players might have problems and not going to take stake's side without knowing all the facts.
2474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LIST of TOP 20 BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS on: July 08, 2021, 06:28:27 PM
Stake and bistler are my preferred bookmarking sites on the list. My decision is based on the fact that bistler has a long track of reputation and successful business around the gambling industry such as bustadice and bustabits. I have been playing on these sites and I will say they are the top bookmaking sport betting games.
I agree bitsler is a good option and stake is even an even better option, in my opinion, because they are offering sports betting for a much longer period and bitsler has launched recently and lacks features like bet cashout and promotions are far less as compared to stake.

Sportsbet(dot)io is another good option by the way but they don't have that many promotions. The plus side of betting at sportsbetio is that you don't have to pay for the withdrawal fees every time, they cover it every single time you withdraw.

-snip-
I don't think you are allowed to post affiliate links like that, I hope moderators will take care of this.
2475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 06, 2021, 06:42:39 PM
Well, the thing here is, I really do not care how others would deal with their Bitcoins. If they HODL it then go ahead, let them be. I will not interfere nor tell them not to do it. Let them sell it, let them hold it, let them give it away to their girlfriends. You should not be forcing your opinions to the others if that is what they want and if that is what they need to do with their Bitcoins, after all of the factors that they can consider, it gave them that decision to do so on their coins then by all means.
No one is forcing their decisions and you are right different people have different cases and some might be making more money by mere trading while others may be having the best profits by just holding it. I have seen traders making a good amount of money by short-selling bitcoins when the price is bubbled up and is expected to go down. Then there are some who don't want to get involved in all this because they are not good at reading charts and they just hold and save for the long term.

So long as the narrative around bitcoin is a digital store of value, HODLing super long term would the preferred strategy.
We cannot expect everyone to have capital big enough to avoid selling their coins. A lot of people are making a living by selling bitcoins so yeah overall the value lies in holding but sometimes we do need to sell them.
2476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop losses on: July 06, 2021, 05:12:55 PM
Trading is not for everybody but at the same time we should put in enough efforts and practice a lot to learn to trade correctly.
Yes we do lose our money in the beginning due to our mistakes but we only learn when we make mistakes.
This is why we should not put huge money in the beginning. Start with a low amount and gradually increase when the profits come in.
Even I had started to trade a few years ago but since I was losing money I took a break and learned more about the analysis and started to trade again recently.
Identifying mistakes and learning from it the best strategy IMHO.
I understand it and if you are really adamant about learning and becoming a good trader then you should do it, some people are good in math while others suck at it and same goes for trading as well because there is so much math in trading as well.

I know people who have hard time calculating what is 8x6 and those people can't become traders, doesn't matter how hard they try or how much they study because they lack the main principals requires to be a trader. What I said about buying and holding is for those people, people like me and yeah I do know math a bit more than the example, but I am still not even decent at all and that is why I just buy and hold.

If you know what you are doing, have some math, have some patience, and a bit of money to spend for learning then you can become a decent trader by studying hard, but if you are like me, even after 8 years in crypto I fail at trading so it is not really advised.
2477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China's crackdown on Bitcoin cause Bitcoin to become worthless? on: July 06, 2021, 03:33:47 PM
It looks funny to see how a government is handling the hurdle, the government do not want to give the freedom to their citizens even though Bitcoin will help them overcome the restrictions imposed by other countries according to you and they are known to control their citizens from which sites they visit to which media they watch and they need to continue that because they might not want their citizens to achieve financial freedom.
It's all because the government wants control and power in their hands while bitcoin is made to give the power back to the people which has been taken away long back by the banks and the banking sector as a whole. China and all the countries know that stopping bitcoins is neither possible nor feasible but because they are losing control over the transactions they are taking such decisions as the banning of mining because it consumes too much power.
2478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 05, 2021, 06:26:08 PM
It looks strange and perhaps for some look justifiable but the reality is that it comes out cheaper for governments to do this type of incentives that having sick patients is much more expensive. Above all in countries where public health or primary care is free.

In several countries, matrices have been created not to be vaccinated by long-term effects consequences, but regardless of this people should be vaccinated because they wish and is the best not for an incentive.
It's a pretty cool idea actually. I mean theoretically, if 1million people are given a lottery ticket after they take the vaccine, and let's say the lottery prize is $10k for 100 people then it cost the government around $1M while the cost of enabling vaccine is only $1/person, which if offered directly wouldn't have attracted so many participants, but because the prize is high and everyone wants to try their luck, it should work pretty nicely.

People should understand that lockdowns are not the solution for this virus and the only feasible solution is getting vaccinated and living the life as they used to before the pandemic came out. I am glad someone would win money by getting vaccinated, I thought it would cost people but some people will make money doing it haha Grin.
2479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: July 05, 2021, 05:55:16 PM
If there accusations against casinos they should always be with proof. I have read quite a few claims on the forum here that say their balance just disappeared, without showing any screenshot or balance statement. When reading these threads it feels a bit like they are just angry at the casino for losing their money when gambling. If a casino is not acting properly and maybe even scam some customers out of money we all need to know it and avoid the casino for the future. But just because we were unlucky we shouldn't try and sabotage the reputation of a casino.
That's really important and I often times search on google scam with the casino name and these fake complaints show up. For example, we all know sportsbet.io is legit as it can be but if you google sportsbet.io scam you will find a lot of threads linking to bitcointalk which might confuse a new player if he doesn't know how to differentiate between a real accusation and a fake one.

There are players who will lose money and try to bad mouth the casino/sportsbook to get their money back which doesn't work but does bring some bad reputation and may cost the site a few potential players because of these fake reports.

There are more and more fake reports for some reason now as compared to a few years back, maybe some competitor is paying these guys to create FUD against reputed sites.

hello a mate of mine has tried to make his own eth network token but is unsure if the person who made it for him has done anything unsafe to the code is there anyone here that understands eth contracts that can take a look at the code for him? he is willing to give abit of eth for the help thanks
This is difficult for me because I am not a token developer on the ETH network, so in this opportunity there is no bright idea that I can give you, hopefully others can give you advice on this.
Sorry to say, then you shouldn't have posted because you don't have knowledge about the topic.

I think codebase might help you because I have heard about it somewhere not sure when and where though and please use them at your own risk. After searching a bit I was able to find another one that is named as consensys but please use them at your own risk and better to find a cheaper or free alternative if possible.

You may open a service section posting all the details and what you require in the services section here at bitcoin talk and interested developers and coders will contact you.
