The most interesting match in the round of 16 will be Germany vs England. Germany can pass the tour in this round. Of course, England also has this possibility. Considering the matches played in groups, I think Germany is luckier.
Lol, I think the match will still be boring because previously I felt these two teams would be very productive teams, but the fact is not so good even though both of them can qualify for the round of 16. I personally prefer the Belgium - Portugal match, I'm sure this match will be exciting because both have productive goalscoring machines like Ronaldo who is the temporary top scorer and Lukaku who looks like he will still be sharp in Belgium's attack. I have the same feeling about it as well. Given the status and the squad both teams are playing below expectations. Germany. Harry Kane is yet to open his account in Euro and with him being silent England are finding difficult to score much goals. As for Germany , defense is a bit worrying department. Well it's play off now and hope things will change down and both teams will play with all guns out.

They don't call him "Penaldo" for nothing. People criticize him for scoring a lot from the spot as if it's that easy. He misses, they mock him. He scores, they still mock him. hehe Critics huh? Well you will find for every player. Its just how it is. But they are the ones whom players live to shut up no? They will rise up once again when Ronaldo perform poorly. It goes on and on.. it's a part of football now. I just saw the draw for the round of 16. It looks like England was too lucky to face Germany this early despite topping their group. Italy, Spain, France had the better draws.
It will be a great match between England and Germany. As for others , don't take their fixtures easily as well. This teams have played well in group stage and have surprised some good teams.

Patson Daka has been rumored agreed to join Leicester City after had reportedly rejected an offer from Liverpool. several clubs also reportedly interested in signing Patson Daka like Chelsea and RB Leipzig. I think join Liecester or Chelsea are better for him to have a chance to play in UCL. But, for playing time, maybe Leicester is the right place for him.
He will be joining Leicester for sure. Reports are that the deal is almost done deal. Great young talented striker. Would love to see how he performs for the foxes. Chelsea? I don't think so they are looking out for Daka. Chelsea are very much focused on Haaland and Dortmund have tagged him as "not for sale" as of now.

There are only ten days left on Messi's contract but still he hasn't decided anything yet. Copa America is still going on on one hand. I wonder if he is close to making his final decision. There is not much time left in the end. He will sign a new contract. I don't find any reason of him leaving now unless he still wants to leave for a new challenge. If that's so then he is gonna leave for sure. But with recent changes inside the team, I think Barca really look strong and eventually he might wanna continue. What he said was 6 months ago, and things have changed a lot.

Arsenal have reignite their interest in Lyon star,Houssem Aour, according to reports,Arsenal are ready to make a bid for him.Report claims that Lyon now value him around the region of 20 million pounds,as his market value dropped since they did not qualify for European league football. If Arsenal should bid for him,it will really be a bargain signing for the gunners.
Hope that they confirm it this time for sure. After losing Buendia to Villa, Arsenal would be desparate to confirm things as quickly as possible. And honestly market value doesn't seems much nor seems out of pocket for Arsenal. It will be great addition if things confirms and he moves to Gunners. Transfer rumours:
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will deny Kane a move to a club in the Champions League and is determined to hold onto the England captain. A new football war seems to be waiting for us. Who will win in the end?
Doesn't surprises me. Thought that it would happen. They wouldn't let such a classy striker to their league contenders. It's gonna cost them a lot if they send him away to their opponents.

Klopp’s Mighty Red Men are coming back to take the crown this season. Van Dijk & Gomez are back fit, Konate has been signed with a couple more hopefully. I am convinced Liverpool will push hard for the title. All the injuries we suffered & we still came 3rd. With a fully fit squad we will be right up there.
I also hope for that. They got a good signing in the form of Konate. Injured players are also recovering so I also don't think they won't be having troubles like last season. With Wijnaldum gone, maybe Keita getting some more chances? What do you think @LFC_Bitcoin? If no troubles yeah they will be solid in upcoming season.

I believe despite Chelsea taking the champions league from City,City still have the driving force to defend their premier league tittle considering the kind of quality they have in their squad. No team in the premier league has a better squad than City, and knowing fully well that the premier league is quite different from Champions league, very competitive and combative. So I believe City might just still retain their tittle.
What if they get hit by serious of injuries in the middle. Some of them to key players and long term one? Do you still thinks the same. See anything could happen. You might think they will be able to retain the title at one point without some things unconsidered. In a long title race anything can happen, we already saw Liverpool's last season for example.

Sancho's market value is 100 million euros right now. I'm not sure that Dortmund would say OK to an offer which is even below his value. Let's say they accepted it, then it would be a wonderful transfer for Manchester Utd and a big loss for Dortmund certainly. 100 million euro is a bargain for Jadon Sancho. Dortmund wouldn't sell him for less than 120-150 million euro. They may want to break transfer fee record. How can you replace that talented player? It's not easy to find gems like Sancho. Well yeah . It was actually much more last season but guess it dropped after injuries he had this season at Dortmund. Anyway things stand much better for United this time with low tag but United are back with it again. Wasting time and keep in making negotiations. Just get on with it and make this deal happen already. Given the Dortmund scouts, I think they will find a replacement easily but not that experienced. It will take 2-3 years to build a player like him in midfield again. But still they have many talented guys in midfield area . Don't feel like they will be in dire need if Sancho leaves.

So, Morata's goal looked offside. Was flagged offside, and there wasn't that much of an argument from even Morata himself, and then VAR review, goal. Have to say that was lucky, but I guess this is why VAR's here.
Its funny that so many goals scored by him ruled out by VAR for offside earlier and now after a long time he gets a goal after a VAR review when he had no hope. Anyway that opens the score for him and Spain against Polland and maybe shuts the mouth of haters for some time now. But what a feast from Germany. Sorry that Portugal lost as they were sharp on the counter at first. Two own goals, guess their good luck from first match evened out today. Germany were pressing very hard and that was very hard for Portugal defense to handle. Two own goals was the result of that. Germany today were totally superb and Portugal's defense were really clueless. Portugal attack was very good today but that wasn't enough for them to win the match.

There we go, another goal and score stands 4-1 Germany in the lead with 3 goal cushion. Like I said earlier, Germany are attacking and pressing the defense quite well. They are attack in a very well coordinated manner and there we go 4-1 and maybe more to come the way Portugal defense are clueless against Germany's attack. A good entertaining match for Germany fans and backers today. They desperately needed the points after the france defeat and they will be having it today,

Wow, Ronaldo is on a roll! He scored his last one to take the record of the most in Euros 12th goal for this one. Germany looked good out of the gate but I think Portugal got on their horse after that disallowed goal from a hand ball by Mueller to deny it. There you go.. Germany didn't took much time to cover the deficit to cover the early goal from Ronaldo. Honestly are doing well controlling the game right now and pressing the Portugal defense quite well. Portugal are also doing quite well attacking wise but Germany are much on the ball and they are trying on hard. I wouldn't be surprised if Germany win with 2-3 goal gap here today. As it stands, Germany now leads.

Chelsea been able to sign a complete striker will surely increase their chance of winning the premier league next season, which among the names that have pop up so far would be a great fit in that position, I have my vote for Kane as he has all the experience and won't cost Chelsea as much as others they're chasing, maybe lukaku could do the job too but Kane has proven countless amount of time he's capable of scoring in the premier league
Kane to Chelsea? To me sounds very difficult given Spurs are in the same league as Chelsea and are title contenders. There is no doubt about the pocket but I find it hard to see Kane in PL club. Lukaku also has denied any rumours about him getting out of Inter this season so I don't think that's a possible transfer as well. Chelsea right now are interested in Archaf Hakimi which is going on strong at the moment.

.. there’s a big chance that Halland will leave and Dortmund should sell him for $150 million or a higher amount and then reinvest that money to get more player’s. Also they keep saying Sancho will leave, but till date nothing concrete has happened and I wonder what if he’s not going to leave in the end.
They will let Haaland leave but not now. He has a contract and is indispensable member of the squad so I don't think they are gonna sell him out soon. As for Sancho, he has been there for quite sometime now and Dortmund has lot of players in midfield. They surely can find a replacement for him so they don't feel like keeping him when there is a big offer. Sancho think is still going on, personal terms agreed as last reported, United just needs to match that 95 m price tag that's it. So you see its not Dortmund who are stalling things, its United.

unfortunately he never played with the first team and was more often loaned to other clubs before being officially sold to Cardif City
His reputation looks not so good, also he is already 35 years old. What Man. United expect from this man? If Man. United needs a substitution goalkeeper, why don't sign a young man? There are many good young goalkeepers, I can't believe Man. United signed Tom Heaton. I think Tom Heaton will spend his time on the bench only if De Gea and Henderson are not injured. Possible that one of the two - De Gea and Henderson might left. There were reports of uncertainty about De Gea's future at Manchester United so I think he could be the likely one. And this transfer of Tom Heaton just put more weight to those reports. Tom Heaton is a backup signing as an experienced player. I am sure he will be on bench still even after one of them (De Gea or Henderson) moves out.

Gattuso only has good management in Napoli and he fails a lot with Celtic, AC Milan. I don't believe Gattuso will adapt well with Premier League. Even if Gattuso signs a contract with Spurs, it would not be a good contract for Spurs.
Gattuso is a very weak manager and coach, and I don't understand how miraculously he can get into the Premier League. Hemoved from club to club for good connections, I somehow read an article about him, but I do not see the results of his work that would allow him to grow as a head coach. Maybe I'm wrong and someone considers him a talented manager, but I don't see him as such... I think he did well with Napoli. Maybe he missed out on expectations of higher levels but he did okish given how Serie A was last season. Yeah he does lack experience and not yet to be called as a proper manager. Also maybe for Spurs it is getting difficult to get a manager as it has taken a lot of time and now are desparate and hence have proceeded with Gattuso.

Patson Daka to Leicester from RB Salzburg and he had good season in Austrian League. Good and young striker and definitely would add to Leicester gun power. Possible Vardy replacement as he is getting old? To me Vardy doesn't looks like someone who has lost his touch with age. But whatever it is , a really good signing. (Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1405900552832176129) Also if my memory serves right, I think I saw Liverpool interested in Daka last transfer window.

For Manchester city the opportunity in the season with I think it's still open whether it will be made the reigning champions or not, while Liverpool and Chelsea will now continue to be ambitious to chase the trophies they want to win and Chelsea now also have a great squad in the hands of Tuchel so this will be a tough competition for Mancity next season.
It would be pretty interesting to see how City defend their title next season, if all the big teams maintain their form all season long, then it's going to be tough; I'm particularly also looking closely at Chelsea, Tuchel seems to be a tactician and he prolly must be plotting the philosophy to use in order to steal the title from Pep Guardiola. Having said that, City could prolly switch concentration slightly to the CL next season, and it could give the other contenders a slight edge, after losing in the CL to Chelsea, they'll want to get to that stage again, and try to win it this time cause it's the only trophy eluding them. @Coyster for Liverpool to challenge they’ll need to splash the funds in the transfer market, and so far they haven’t made any moves for any player’s. Lastly in my personal opinion only Tuchel is the only real competitor for Pep, but if he too let’s success gets to his head then he’ll suffer defeats. I never took Tuchel as tactician before Chelsea but he did so good in setting up Chelsea after Lampard. He just lost once after signing as manager and that goes to show what kind of manager he is. Well Chelsea also has squad depth and that gave Tuchel lot of options to work out with but still talk about tactics I have to git it to Tuchel. Guardiola certainly have one more good opponent in PL now.

This is not even a problem there are great leaders still left in the team, Modric and Kroos are both leaders but I'm sure the handband will be given to Modric to give the team an exceptional leadership spirit as the most oldest in the team, we still have the likes of Marcelo who is the assistant captain in the team but his future is not certain yet.
I think also that it would be Modric. Still anybody could become captain since most of them have good leadership qualities. Still find ti hard to believe now that Ramos leaving Madrid is for real. Feels almost like an era ended. The contributions that he made for the team was immense and truly proves a legend. Hoped that Real Madrid had made something again new on the table for him giving him some respect for his contributions but guess they don't care when players get old.

As much as you say Denmark played well they didn't get a goal of their own from open play. Their first goal come because Belgian defender Denayer errored and they capitalized on that but nothing else came from the Danish team, so nothing to show for their hardwork.
And i agree De Bruyne was on fire 🔥today , he inspired his team to a win thanks to his goal and assist and I expect to see him do this more often just like he does at City.
I really don't like Denayer's game TBH. I've seen him play and he makes many mistakes. Goal conceded today was a showcase of that. But honestly Denmark really pressed the Belgium defence quite too easily. They could have easily scored 2-3 with that attack if finishing have been right. Also for Belgium until DeBruyne came in there wasn't much of a good strong hold in possession and chances creation as well. It was very close for Belgium.
|
|
|
And for me as well! Although Belgium was awful in the first half, they play much better in the second and manage to turn the match in their favor. At least until now since Denmark, still have some minutes... Btw, very good game overall! Denmark really played well and till the last minutes had Belgium on their knees with some scary shots and chances. De Bruyne had a good impact with one assist and a goal and both of them were crucial in Belgium's win. Denayer's inclusion was the one thing that was worrying me from the start. Not a good defender IMO.
