This is a pretty scam that has been around for a long time, most people who are victims of such scams are greedy people who don't think twice about the consequences of throwing money into thin air all in the name of investing in businesses that it's RIO is higher than the average legitimate businesses. But scammers are always wiser to deviate from one field to another. Thank you for updating us about this.

2463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 12 years after Bitcoin whitepaper was released on: November 01, 2020, 11:24:28 AM
Bitcoin has treated everyone equally with seamless transactions over the years, a lot adopted bitcoin, a lot of stories have been told over the years regarding the position of Bitcoin in global marketing and economies. It has played a major role in rolling out new ideas of cryptocurrencies solving more pressing issues. Indeed it is a symbol of Decentralization .

It has exposed the incompetency of Central Banks. Thanks to Nakamoto.. To mark its 12th birthday, PayPal  adopted bitcoin a news that sprung it's price a few thousands of dollar above what it had been trading a day before.
What exactly have you learnt using bitcoin after its 12 years?
2464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: October 31, 2020, 02:36:29 PM
If any country approves it for anything aside payment gateway. They've destroyed the purpose of Bitcoin. What type of approvement are you seeking?
2465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make your choice now! on: October 31, 2020, 11:04:23 AM
I'm curious to know what aspect of Bitcoin he is interested in? Nvm, you already said he served the county in economic planning commission. He could be a successful trader all the way. It is best he makes his choice by himself and manage time effectively in other not to get into trouble with his employers.
2466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 31, 2020, 06:08:32 AM
The biggest nightmare of every gambler is Losing. When you're gambling you're open to two important options, it is a win or loss affair. While you're winning; the bookies are losing. While you're lossing the bookie are winning. The most important factor to take into consideration is "Don't chose your loss", Don't attach emotions to gambling the aftermath could be disastrous. At least you were lucky enough to recover some part of the lost funds. Next time be tactical and calculative to avoid fatal losses.
What do you mean by "Don't chose your loss" exactly please?
In every gambling game there is a possibility of losing. A game where you can't lose isn't a gambling game.
Chasing your losses in this instance means, a scenario where someone loses up to 3 BTC and the next minute he is staking 6 BTC on value of 2 odds to recover the lost ones immediately is what I meant. It will definitely end in fatal losses because you're been controlled by an emotion on a revenge spree and it is likely never to yield any meaningful thing. So, whatever you gamble consider it as a lost property or asset to maintain your sanity on the long run.
2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 30, 2020, 02:17:01 PM
Signature campaigns are designed to advertise the campaign or the project in general and it is not designed to increase a company's profile hence its credibility. We only join signature campaigns because we work to advertise the project and make it known to many people using bitcointalk, that's it. I don't see myself as someone who can elevate a company's profile, unless you are Elon Musk and you invested 10 million dollars to the project thereby elevating its prestige but still, the product or service would still be a big factor in determining where the project is good or bad.

Signature campaign does increase ICO, why? The goal of every advertisement placed on a goods by the manufacturer is to attract customers either organic or inorganic. You're wearing the signature of the company you're working for, a potential customer could come across your post which picks his/her interest and he/she would  decide to look up the project and make investment. Traffic and trust has been gained already through signature campaign.

That's why it is advisable by the Signature campaign managers to ensure the participants make high quality post/comments to generate attention. The project teams advertising through signature campaigns must have stopped if there is no turn out from the process.

2469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin reach $20k fee will be huge? on: October 30, 2020, 07:29:28 AM
If the price of 1 bitcoin increases to $20K calculate the mean of the current fee in USD by what it would be when it is $20k, even if miners don't charge much BTC for fees, the USD value must increase so, definitely your question is explanatory enough.
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions for our dear project promoters on: October 29, 2020, 04:52:57 PM
Most escrowed bounties are the best, but it is not within the power of hunters to decide. There are hungry bounty managers around too. They don't want to persist the project teams to implement a credible campaign, all they care about is how to get paid and dish out stakes. I will go with option 3 anyday.
2471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most searched cryptocurrencies on Google on: October 29, 2020, 01:00:46 PM
Hello, according to the website: blockchaincenter.net, these cryptocurrencies are most searched among cryptocurrencies:
1.  Bitcoin (80,8%)
2. Ethereum (14%)
3. XRP (8%) followed by Litecoin (4,7%), Bitcoin Cash (2,7%), IOTA (2,5%), Monero (2,1%), Tron (1,8%), Dogecoin (1,8%) and Cardano (1,5%).

They processed information based on Google Trends.

When you compare it with the market cap, then where is Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, EOS or Binance Coin?  Shocked

According to the chart, none comes close to the king of all of them BTC, it shows there is no one benching it in the nearest decade.

I'm not even surprised that bitcoin comes first. When I tell someone who is far from the cryptocurrency sphere, they are genuinely surprised that there are thousands of cryptocurrencies, all they know is that there is bitcoin and that's it. Smiley

Yes. A whole lot of people use bitcoin many times before they know about other Cryptocurrencies, it is mainly trading for quick ROI that exposes people to other high volatile altcoins. Even as the news of ETH 2.0 is everywhere, it's search rating doesn't even come close to that of Bitcoin.
2472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 29, 2020, 05:29:55 AM
Our local tv channel didnt broadcast united match when they got the first home win. Sad
Came off the bench in the 63rd minutes and scored a hattrick, the OBE pays off for rashy lol  Grin
as a united fan, can we start composing a farewell speech for the ufa europa league already? Grin

It was a fantastic play by the lads yesterday, you can feel the old glory running through their veins everytime they get hold of the ball. De Gea made excellent saves yesterday too. Pogba and Rashford are improving as the day passes. If we can get a win in the next match and a draw the match that follows we  should bid Europa League a farewell already.
2473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2020, 08:17:34 PM
If Manchester United beat Leipzig today, I think they will guarantee qualifying out of the group. Because, after this match they will play against Basaksehir two times in a row. Even if Manchester United is the favorite team, I think the match will end in a draw.

They are currently not playing impressively. But things can change in a matter of minutes. Dwmebele just scored for FCB.
I really hope Man Utd can beat RB Leipzig tonight.
2474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that go up and down fast? (I'm a noob) on: October 28, 2020, 05:10:54 PM
The first rule of trading is, Choose your onions and let your onions choose you. if you go after highly volatile altcoins you will end up folding up in no time. Kindly follow some experts who have been trading for over a long period of time to guide you.
2475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Monthly Automatic Payment using Bitcoin? on: October 28, 2020, 12:53:16 PM
Hi everyone, I am new to bitcoin.

Welcome on board, new adopter. It is nice to have you around this wonderful invention.  Roll Eyes

I am wondering if Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency supports monthly automatic payment deduction from your wallet to the designated party?

Thank you.
If you're holding your bitcoin in offline wallet, they wouldn't be deduction of any kind from your wallet however its value in USD might reduce/increase with respect to the market price at when you're checking either daily, weekly, monthly or annually.
I don't know if any other Cryptocurrency aside bitcoin was programmed to do so.
2476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 27, 2020, 03:04:34 PM
If you don't die by accident, you can give someone your pass phrase while in the sickbed. If your seeds are revealed to anyone trusted by you, your coins are forever safe and can be used only by the person who has access to your account.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 27, 2020, 06:00:34 AM
One little question,

If I'm not wrong, Spain will go into lockdown tonight. How will it affect the Liga? In a first moment, it seems that displacements will be allowed for work, so players will be able to travel and play, but what happens if in a few weeks/months the measures toughen? Will the Liga be suspended?

And on the other hand, the stadiums are empty, how long do you think some teams can stand with the subsequent decrease of income?

Football activities wouldn't be stopped like the other time, players are being tested on a daily basis to ascertain the  level of symptoms they might be showing towards Covid-19, when a particular player is tested positive he would be taken into isolation similar to the cases of Mane and Ronaldo. I think in a case where match tickets are not been sold for revenue to be generated by clubs, the TV right would be sold higher to be able to cover up.
2478  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: October 27, 2020, 05:48:06 AM
There are illiterate people in the world who don't know what Bitcoin is, who don't know how to make transfer using digital tools, they don't know the purchasing power of digital currencies. As far as the world is still facing these challenges it would be a long time for physical currencies to be eliminated completely. I don't think it would happen perhaps all the payment gateways decides to accept bitcoin for different type of transactions it will minimise the way physical currencies are been moved about.

Physical currencies serve as a symbol of a nation.
It wouldn't be wise eliminating it for any reason imo.
2479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: October 26, 2020, 10:51:33 AM
I know we all work to earn money but if you are not passionate about solving a particular problem faced by a large number of people and incur a change in the process you would end up chasing two birds with a single stone and end up not catching anyone at all. The salaries of experts offering their services in blockchain industry might be eye catchy and enticing but they didn't start with the motivation of money. The were dedicated throughout their learning days until they were gurus. The blockchain industry is a developing one which needs a handful of skills to earn you a reasonable salary along the line but if you want to learn something to offer, I'd advise you take the course seriously to learn it properly and do monitization when you might have learnt it deeply. Untill then your goal is to how to learn what you're learning currently ahead of time.
2480  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Survey]Do we need to provide KYC documents in any cryptocurrency exchanges? on: October 26, 2020, 08:58:51 AM
Many of the exchanges require KYC, but some don't like binance without kyc already being able to trade. But KYC is very necessary to maintain security For example, when you lose 2FA, KYC accounts will be easy to handle

You're right but you don't need kyc to trade on Binance. It is when you need to withdraw to fiat instead of wallet address you are required to submit your documents for KYC. Or when you are to withdraw a large sum of Bitcoin. But KYC helps most CEXs to trace scam wallets, like the person who hacked Kucoin, if he had user CEX wallet who he/she submitted KYC. It would be easy to be traced and apprehend along the accomplices.
