2461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 07, 2021, 12:34:49 PM
Conor is a fighter, he knows how to box, got a professional license in boxing, therefore I think he can survive with Mayweather though he cannot beat him. Mayweather is just too smart and too good, him fighting a non boxer gives him an edge, just like him cherry picking his opponent to stay undefeated.

This is an accusation I have heard a lot of times (especially from Pacquiao fans), that Mayweather cherrypicks his opponents in order to remain undefeated. I have to say that there is no basis to such allegations. Pacquiao challenged Mayweather for a fight, which the latter accepted in 2015. He defeated Pacquiao fair and square. Pacquiao wanted a rematch, but Mayweather disagreed, saying that he don't want to fight the same opponent again and again.

They have their own decision, let's just respect that and not all fans also likes to see a rematch, but personally, I like to see a rematch as there's no bigger fights in boxing now, Manny and Mayweather is going to give fans a lot of excitement if they'll fight, but since Mayweather believe he is done with Pacquiao, so we can't expect he will fight with him anymore, he will just focus on fighters that he hasn't fought before, even if it's an obvious win by him.

It was amazing seeing Markelle Fultz lead a team to victory finally.  What happened to his jumpshot is one of the strangest mysteries in sports.  I've never seen someone suffer from such a mental block, except maybe Charles Barkley when it comes to golfing...

So sad to see Markelle blew out his ACL and will be done for the season now.  He was just starting to find himself again and look like a top draft pick.  At least he signed a good contract before this happened, because with his mental struggles previously I'm not sure how he'll be able to handle recovery from an ACL.  A lot of people are never able to get back to near what they were before, with one famous exception being Dominique Wilkins.

It's just too bad we won't see him anymore this season, he was contributing to this team and his stats are very much consistently improving.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/fultzma01.html

He is still young, he can recover so we can expect him to come back soon....next season, but that is soon.
2463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 07, 2021, 08:21:59 AM
Damn, I thought the bet would win, Heat did take the lead but they can't shoot to extend the lead, then Celtics suddenly have a strong run and make it hard for the Heat to come back, they tied the game and I was hoping for an OT, but it didn't happen.  Sad

This guy ruined a possible OT

Glad, I had the under as well, so I'm also even.

2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Strong!!! on: January 07, 2021, 07:09:15 AM
There is so much fear in the crypto market right now. Taking a look at coinmarketcap now, it's scary to see how much of a dump we have now. Everyone complaining in different groups of loosing a lot of their portfolio to the dump.
I feel your pain. Trust me, it will not last long, everything will be over soon and we shall all smile again. Just hold Strong. We might just be able to smile sooner than expected. Nothing to panic over based on history of crypto. History will surely repeat itself.
I guess you have to be careful about investing and choosing a coin, it's useless to hold long if the project doesn't have a clear roadmap,
lots of unclear and deceptive projects that just waste time
Roadmap is not actually a problem, it's easy to make an attractive road map and it's not really the problem why people does not invest in some projects anymore, it's the team behind the project because most of them failed to follow and implement what's in the road map.

You don't believe you can win in gambling?  The risk is always here, either we loss enough or we loss more, that depends on how we handle ourselves in gambling. Anyway, let's talk about sports arbitrage, and I would stick to my comment that sports arbitrage is not easy, you need to work for it, you need to have the equipment and the formula in order to find success in doing this.

I believe I can win in gambling, but it is hard for me to try to win in gambling. I have experience in gambling, and most of my time is getting lost, which makes me reduce my time to playing gambling. Yes, the sports arbitrage is not easy because that will need many things to prepare, especially by collecting much information about the match. If we can gather much information from valid sources, our chance to win will be bigger.

It's hard to find a valid source, or whatever you are talking, arbitrage opportunity does not present all the time or even most of the time, it's a rare opportunity that has to be spot immediately so we can put our bet, arbitrage betting can be seen in live betting and pre game bets, so you'll have to look unto that alone.
2466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: January 06, 2021, 10:55:19 PM

But Some gamblers believe that it's purely Luck and that is why the diversion comes commonly , they don't even spare more time in evaluating but just betting , of course we are far different from them because we want at least some assurances that our bets will be placed in right one .

There are newbie gamblers, they are still learning, so eventually if they are not stupid, they'll learn and will improve.

We all started as newbie, and we are prone to making mistakes that time, but until now we are still here, meaning we have learn a lot and we have enjoyed gambling already. Evaluating the game comes first, knowing if you can win using your skills or the game is just purely luck based, we have to know that as its basic since it's useless to analyze if we are betting on games that is only a luck based type.

There are some news about potential Minnesota Timberwolves sale as longtime owner Glen Taylor is negotiating with buyers and estimate sale price was $1.5 Billion in November 2020.
Minnesota is now in very bad form, lost last four and now they play with Denver Nuggets.
This should be easy win for Denver Nuggets.
Here's the article. (https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/01/latest-on-potential-sale-of-timberwolves.html)
Very sad to know for the team that the franchise is for sale. The owner is hoping for it to see a higher value soon. But if there will be someone to buy it, for sure it's another popular name that we know.
Maybe this team will improve under a new ownership, so it's okay to have a new owner as this might be a fresh start for them. This team has now tank based on what I see, KAT give some hope to this team but he needs more talents to help him, and it didn't happen.
Just like a popular team that went through passive and became weak for seasons, time will come to them that they'll also be recognized again. The lineup could be fine by now but still, that's not enough to bring home the bacon. Well, if Glen has to sell it for himself, he'll do it. That's part of his investment and business but as long as there will be a willing taker for the team and to have new management for the franchise, the team shall keep moving.
Hopefully this will be sold soon, it does not help to a team knowing the owner is selling it, it does not help build confidence and feel secured on entire team's side. Though this is just normal, there's still an indication that the team are not selling anymore, reason the owner sold it already, and we can understand since the timing is quite unquestionable.

~And it's obvious that odds will change during a game because there's live game betting and odds will be based on what's happening in a certain match.
~

Betting on the events "In-play" is one of my fav thing to do. The odds are changing quickly, and you can make a good bet if you do it in the right time.  Wink

And most especially if you are watching the game, in play betting is quite very attractive for people who have a lot of time to focus on the games they are betting, and for me, I've done that sometimes and the result is positive per my observation.

Watching the game while doing in-play best has the best entertainment value. Especially with soccer when the lower ranked team scores first and then betting on the higher ranked team could get quick interesting sometimes. The odds will be much better at that moment.

You enjoyed the game because you know the game you are watching, and using your intelligence in the certain game, you'll be able to spot an opportunity to bet where you think you'll likely to win, as long as you don't bet on emotion, everything is good, live betting is always idea.

Another advance pick.

Game ; Celtics vs Heat.

I'm a fan of the Heat everytime they face the Celtics, I have a feeling that coach spo knows how to beat the Celtics, just like what they did in the playoffs.
Therefore my bet is on the Miami Heat -2.5 and I live the under 218 in this game.

Good luck!

This is gonna be your 3rd win streak if this will hit, so I'm in.

BOL everyone, Celtics vs Heat is just like a repeat of the ECF in the Bubble, good to see this team face each other again.

"I don't have time for celebrations. I'm on one mission. I'm on a mission to knock out Gervonta Davis in two rounds ... This man will go down. Two rounds -- that's a promise," Garcia said.

Garcia calling out Davis and says that he is going to knock him out in two rounds,  Grin

I haven't seen Davis responded yet, but I'm sure he will go to the public and this will be a verbal war. But in order to make a lot of money, fans should be allowed, so let's wait and see.

Quote
Another possible option for Garcia is a mandatory fight with full WBC champion Devin Haney. The World Boxing Council is planning to order that contest in the very near future.

This is more realistic fight in my opinion, get the full and regular WBC belt from Devin Haney first then go for reunification with either Davis or Lopez. But this is less money for Ryan Garcia.

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-smiles-gervonta-davis-go-down-two-rounds-s-promise--154536

At least we can expect some big fights after this, he was tested and he passed, so I guess he'll be alright either of these boxers he might face in the future. Ryan Garcia is a special Kid, he got the power and the hand speed, but of course he needs to train more, train on his defense and foot speed I guess so he will become a complete fighter.
2472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Beaxy - Shady exchange locking your funds, do not use! on: January 04, 2021, 11:16:05 PM
The fact that they got their ann thread creator labeling this as a scam in the topic is pretty much a nail in their coffin. I was just looking for unmoderated info about this exchange and their native token as i was wondering if i should buy it. This shows the power of having unmoderated ann thread perfectly. Thanks for the warning Aerys2!

There was a scam accusation being created already, you need to check their thread and see the latest updates.

[Beaxy - Scamming you by locking your funds for " high market impact "

don't buy for now I suggest, read carefully the scam accusation first and weigh things.

^^ And they have the best sports doctor out there, so no doubt that it will help a lot during his rehab and recovery. However, there are athletes that didn't really recover despite in the advancement of sport medicine, maybe everyone react differently.

@yazher - I agree, the Warriors are really a different team now, so they really need a lot of help and hope that Klay will provide that again.
Yes, don't doubt that, NBA sports medicine is certainly one of the best in the world. But recovery does not depend only on doctors, other factors interfere, as each player has different recoveries.

What did you think of this game, Nets vs Wizards? Kyrie and Durant could have turned the tables on the last few moments, but it didn't work, could they improve in the future?

Definitely they'll improve, Durant and Irving have a look and attempt to win but they didn't shoot the ball, that's normal in a game, at least they played a really competitive game which is very entertaining to watch, don't worry they are still in the playoff picture.
2474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 04, 2021, 10:25:25 PM
my first bet is Atlanta Hawks - New York Knicks  over 217@1,54

Seems not worth placing a bet. Over score with an odds of @1.54 only? On what site did you see this?

Not checking the odds yet but as usual, the odds on Totals should be around @1.8-1.9.

I'm with Over too but will pick good odds. Hawks are averaging 115.3PPG on their last 3 games and NYK with 94PPG. They should cover the Over 217 totals.

if you are already following certain trends then perhaps my message was not targeted to you
besides that 115 and 94  is 209 and dont cover 217

Atlanta Hawks is a good offensive team, over is easy but I have a doubt about the line offered, I think this is going to end up under, just my instinct telling me but I'm not really sure too, not betting on the over/under of this game though, I have other plans.

I my self staying away from XRP after sec announce it. I am now wacthing on polkadot and the project build on polkadot chain or Kusama. I am not shilling here just be honest polkadot looked have very bright future even if we compare to ethereum.

Being honest with your opinion is not shilling, besides polkadot is a legit coin, it's in the top 6 spot with 68% growth in the last 7 days, pretty amazing. It's a new coin, newer than LTC and ETH of course but it has easily entered in the top 10. Lots of coins are benefiting on the XRP dump, still good for the market, it's only bad when bitcoin itself dump.
2476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell WBC Lightweight Interim Title (January 2) on: January 01, 2021, 12:56:07 PM
Thanks for sharing @Maslate, Garcia and decision and Draw, I think I'll take that, either bet would won, I'm still in profit.

I understand  how good Ryan Garcia is, but that odds is just hard to resist, so let's hope Luke Campbell will survive and either lose or will make the fight a draw.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 01, 2021, 12:41:39 PM
For me, I don't need to touch my bank balance, can't risk it in gambling, what I make online is what I gamble and though winning is not easy, I can still survive. Who knows one day I'll be making money from gambling, quit my job and focus on being a professional gambler, everything is possible, unfortunately I have to admit that chances is very slim for me.

I hope you are not serious with it, quit your job and become a professional gambler sounds like unwise decision imo. Even if you want to be professional gambler, you do not need to quit your job unless you want to gamble 24/7 (I doubt someone will do it). If you can do both by good time management, it will give you a better result.

I'm serious, but I would not do that if I'm not certain yet that I can trust my skills to be profitable in sports betting. As a gambler, it's our ultimate dream to make money in gambling and if we feel we have the skills, why not try to make our journey?

I admire that kind of attitude, honestly, only few people really think they can make money from gambling "consistently", most of them think they can only win with luck, and yet they are still very aggressive with what they are doing, reason why they loss serious money.

If you are serious with getting in gambling as a job, you should carefully plan everything, start with proving to yourself first if you are be profitable or not, and be honest so you'll know your real score.
2478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Local sports book, arbs? on: January 01, 2021, 12:16:51 PM
I haven’t made any arb bets yet..
Just won by luck..
I don't think arbitrage betting is a problem either if there is a chance, usually arb betting opportunities are available when you use multiple betting sites and they have different favorite on each site. I am glad you are making profits normally though so continue doing that Wink.

Actually gambling sites sometimes has the same odds provider, so they don't differ to each other, and if we think it's easy, I guess there's a lot of people already making money from arbitrage betting. Arbitrage betting is harder than arbitrage trading, believe me, I've tried this and it doesn't work, maybe I'm just dumb or not smart enough.
Sites usually have same Odds ,Only in few that they have different providing so This is hard to use arbitrage in specific game.

But we knew Luck comes in different way, some on this and others on that.

Only one thing that everyone has the same, and that is the desire to win each time ,though only small counts are given a chance.

I agree with that, though some sites does not have the same odds provider but their odds is just pretty much similar and I tell you, you can't rely on luck alone to find an arbitrage betting, you need to be good in numbers and has a monitoring software in order to spot few opportunities.
2479  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 01, 2021, 10:50:33 AM
So, what we are not sure about (and health experts plus the whole world thinks the same) the vaccine we have for covid 19 will be also very good for the new string of covid as well, the only thing we are not entirely sure about is how much it will be helpful, for covid 19 they see 90%+ success rate, but with the new one that could drop as much as 50% who knows?
The issue is that we are not certain about the vaccine, i have seen reports that some are having serious side affects after taking the dosage and the new strain is serious as it is spreading rapidly than the first one and hence every country is forced to shut down once again to combat the spread and that is the only steps a government can take but it is a huge toll on the common citizens and the success rate of these vaccines are uncertain and there is no clarity regarding it.
If getting vaccinated is not compulsory, I think I would not allow myself to get injected with the vaccine, or however its down. We trust the creator of the vaccine but at least we give some time to observe and see the effect. There's been vaccine now from different pharmaceuticals but there's still doubts from some people, but I hope we will not suffer from any side effect as this is another problem especially if side effect may take months to feel and see.
2480  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: January 01, 2021, 10:32:40 AM
From what I know I think Bitcoin price is always pump by whales or investors and I think the current bullrun might be cause as a result of more investor trying to invest in bitcoin!!!
Whales does not pump bitcoin always, in fact there are only few scenario where we see bitcoin pump compared to dump, but I'm glad we have survive and now this pump bring bitcoin to its ATH. Now, if you'll ask me what's next, I think dump is inevitable.
