2481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cant sell this coin on: April 01, 2022, 03:35:55 PM
Hello I bought gmt and now I wanted to sell but kucoin does not let me:

Minimum size 1gmt

Why not let me sell the same amount of gmt I bought an hour ago?
This only happens in kucoin or is something common in all exchanges?

Just buy another 1 GMT and selm the whole GMT you got, never forget that exchanges will charge trading fee for every trade so the trading fee will be deducted from the bought coin once the trade is completed. This is common in every exchange and every exchange has their own trade order limit which differs for every coin.
2482  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: April 01, 2022, 02:40:21 PM
Thailand? Where you can lead decent life for $6000 per month and probably can live like a king as well, have you heard of Pattaya walking street that is one of the place where every men wants to visit. I watched lot of vlogs you can get decent suite for yourself or couple for $50 per night means $1500 for 30 days but if you are going to take a rental home that is going to be lot cheaper.

And I had seen even you can complete your meal for a day in less than $10 from vloggers so that is my pick. Cheesy
2483  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites April Fool offers on: April 01, 2022, 01:49:46 PM
It's not really a great day to give offers because most people think this is nothing but a prank so only few people will get attracted towards the offers. And also nobody wants them to make themselves enjoying on this day by making fun on their own hope this is a day to get fun in the real world.

2485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What have been your crypto trading experience on: March 31, 2022, 05:26:40 PM
Over some time, I have tried to understand and take advantage of the many possibilities in cryptocurrency trading this emerging venture has helped many to reach their goals. What is the most valuable experience that has been a guide for your cryptocurrency trading?
To be honest, what is my point about cryptocurrency trading is if you are not ready to see many loss then don't start day trading, it may look more profitable but it had risk associated with it. Apart from that I only trade bitcoin with stable coin pairs because it is more easier for me to analyse and make decisions.
2486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting up and trying again on: March 31, 2022, 04:08:06 PM
We will stuck in a situation like this when we only expected the positive outcome of our decision but wise people have choices for the negative outcome as well so being prepared is the first ever solution to avoid this trap. For example if you are investing $1000 on crypto and expect 50% in a year which is certainly possible but also you have the chances of losing 70% of capital value as well so as an investor you need to hold by that time for that you need to assess your risk appetite.
2487  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: March 31, 2022, 03:02:10 PM
Any kind of bonus will attract people but what attracts the real gamblers is reputation so it has to be build over time for that the casino has to manage their promotional funds in more effective ways. Even casinos with no bonus and contests become the top of the casino list so giving the user satisfaction is more important than giving one-time bonus with so much criteria to claim the money.

Based on my observation not all promotions, some promotions with difficult rollover and asking KYC is not really effective bonus and many people stay away just to skip the KYC part about the reputation yes many gamblers look for reputation and at the same time promotion that they can give to new and existing players.
That is what I actually said those kind of attractive bonus will create attention but doesn't make people to sign up there simply to get the sign up bonus, the casino needs to make more effective like weekly contests instead of one time bonus so players will keep engaging and also it goes for the deserving people as well.

2489  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's effect on IT sector? on: March 31, 2022, 07:12:11 AM
For Russia's war with Ukraine, the west put heavy sanctions on Russia. That means export and import with Russia is not accessible. Data shows Russia is the biggest exporter of raw materials like copper, aluminum, nickel, platinum, palladium, etc which is used in chip making. That means we are expecting more delays in the semiconductor industry. We all know how important this staff is to run electronic devices. Disruption on-chip shortages could spike the price of digital devices too which affects globally. Is that a good idea to push Russia out of the world economy? This sanction of the west could have a boomerang effect?
Even in US they feel the effects already with the increase of gas prices which will cause every price to be increased but governments will not reverse the sanctions especially US but countries from EU are still buying oil from Russia and they will continue to do so the trade deals will affect everyone instead of the only one.

They are purchasing because the price of oil from Russia is significantly lower than the price of oil purchased from other countries. Russian President Vladimir Putin is a brilliant strategist in his efforts to counter the economic sanctions that are having a negative impact on everyone, such as legalizing piracy in their country. I believe India was one of the countries that purchased oils for them at a low cost, and I believe that they will continue to do so because of the high price of gasoline currently in effect. We can only stop selling to them, but we cannot completely prevent them from doing so. Sanctions and war are making our lives worse all over the world right now.
If I am not wrong China and India are buying and hoarding huge amount of oil as much as they can because Putin announced that he is selling for discount price to the friendly countries but they are not alone as I said many western countries are also buying but now they have to buy at the price that is decided by Russia and importantly they have to pay in Ruble not in USD that will create the biggest impact.
2490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Send untraceable and anonymous payment on: March 30, 2022, 03:09:57 PM
I need to make an intraceable and anonymous Dash payment.
My idea is to buy XMR in a popular Exchange, then exchange it within Exodus and send payment directly from Exodus
Do you know then if you exchange XMR to Dash with Exodus and if I send the payment directly if it will be totally untraceable and anonymous?
Or do you recommend others steps?
You are not completely anonymous when you choose to transact pseudo anonymous coin and don't forget that XMR is not available on many exchanges. Instead of conversion why don't you try bitcoin via mixture so you can erase the trails.
2491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will Yobit allow Clam Transactions? on: March 30, 2022, 02:07:44 PM
I don't know about the coin you're talking but considering the same kind of instance with random altcoins most exchanges never reopened it so most probably that will happen here also. And even if they allow is there anyone who is going to buy those coins because literally they can get it for free then why someone has to pay for it.

2493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How secured is fingerprint lock on wallet? on: March 30, 2022, 07:28:55 AM
If I use a fingerprint lock on my crypto wallet will this add more security to my wallet and recovery seed or just security over avoiding someone to see my wallet balance via operating my phone?
In my opinion biometric security is less secure compared to the random long password because someone can force you to out fingerprint but getting password out of your head is almost impossible unless you tell them. But no matter what kind of password either its random characters or fingerprint you have to be careful if you hold millions worth of cryptocurrencies there.
2494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX ruins the true value of Bitcoin on: March 30, 2022, 06:52:53 AM
These exchanges has to follow the regulations of government if they want to continue their services so what can we expect from them when the government made them to do it. When you are dealing cryptocurrencies with Fiat the KYC will become unavoidable for sure
I see. The op should not put the blame then to coinbase or to the other centralized exchanges or wallets because it wasn't totally their fault on why they expose a user's identity but it was the order of the government. Those cex also care for the people's privacy and to the reputation of bitcoin but what can they do? they only want to continue their business. They need to think of their selves first before the others so sorry.

in the next few years and you know we don't have to convert bitcoin to CAD or USD we can simply use bitcoin as bitcoin itself atleast in the future.
It is expected that all people will not need fiats anymore in the future because they can use bitcoin directly once bitcoin have been made a legal tender. I think that will make the kyc obsolete as well but for now, we can use dex and p2p if we only want to bypass the centralization and kyc imposed by the governments.
Currently there are very few KYC less p2p trading platforms and it may not be convenient for every fiat conversion and also in large amount, centralized exchange acts as trusted third party because we know the source of funds coming from their bank account but when doing p2p transactions with anonymous person we have more risks like someone can use hacked bank account and buy bitcoin so they will never exposed but our bank will freeze our account that is why I am sticking with LBC even though they made KYV mandatory because we can find the funds are coming from the original owner or third party account.
2495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad way of storing keys?/ on: March 29, 2022, 02:45:22 PM
I've sheltered my private key and recovery seed in a m.2 memory on my PC and I take it offline (remove from PC) but someone said its a bad idea, this person said that people have forfeited private keys to HDD before and they never recover their BTC, is this true?
HDD has less life span and any physical damage is almost impossible to make it work so either users have to spend a lot to recover the data stored or they choose to abandon it. And any digital storage can lead to loss of data that is why its always suggested to have the hard copy of private key in a container which is resistant to water and fire.
2496  Other / Off-topic / Re: Google Issues Emergency Security Warning For 3.2 Billion Chrome Users on: March 27, 2022, 02:09:13 PM
It seems that the vulnerability also affected across all Chromium-based browsers. I see that Brave and Edge also already addressed the issue [1][2]. So if someone using a chromium-based browser, you should have update it to the latest version available.

[1] https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/blob/master/CHANGELOG_DESKTOP.md#136122
[2] https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-relnotes-security#march-26-2022

I am a chromium user, so its time for me to update but what is the actual vulnerability caused by this attack, I don't have any wallet installed on the device where I am using this browser just for the sake of browsing and sometimes bitcointalk because of its smooth and sleek UI.

ICO never came back, IEO is not trending anymore do you think that metaverse won't vanish in near future? It's like every trending crypto hype will fade away sooner or later and new thing will come around again, are we just going around in circles?.
Metaverse is a different technology just like blockchain so it has more potential than apart from the cryptocurrency market so the market will never fade away but the hype may end and only the project with actual utility can survive no matter what technology they are using.
2499  Economy / Economics / Re: Anonymous hacker's group fight against Russia on: March 26, 2022, 11:37:03 AM

But even many Ukranians formerly came from Russia when USSR is there supporting the Russia as well and I will blame the president of Ukraine for all the Chaos because he ignored the warnings of Russia multiple times but now stranded in the middle of nowhere so the only way of ending is bowing, I am not supporting the Russia here but Ukraine president didn't understand the world politics so he went into the trap now.

War is painful and deadly. We are not from two countries where war happens, but no one wants war in peacetime. But it is clear that the president of Ukraine has trusted too much in bogus promises from western countries and ignored the warnings from president Putin, now the two are mired in an unending war.

Ukraine and Russia, no matter who wins, no one benefits. The human and economic losses will take decades to recover. As a great power, Russia will not withdraw until its goal is achieved.
You are right, for now war in any of the scenarios is something cruel and should not exist, it is not possible that at this point and we as human beings, instead of solving things in the best way, still continue waging wars, for now things when cyber attacks are made it is quite difficult for Russia to be harmed, we must remember that Putin has Ed Snowden and it is obvious that he is using him to protect all his systems, at least the Russian government system has He has to be in charge, and due to his capabilities I think they would put together a great team for security, so I see little way that they can do something to Russia.

No country want another country to become more powerful than them and this is the political game we may not connect the knots to identify what is actually happening. Russia is not affected in anyway but their economy is falling but they are not alone many countries are facing huge increase in the inflation rate and some countries doesn't have any more reserves to pay the loans so war is here for some reason and every ally is trying to take advantage of the condition.
2500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't do the following with your hot wallets on: March 26, 2022, 09:00:22 AM
First of all hot wallets may not be able to receive an unknown token from the airdrop so you completely talking about airdrop thing why you are using hot wallets? MEW is easier right and you suggested trust wallet

It seems you are confusing hot/cold wallets with custodial/non-custodial wallets!
Technically, any wallet can receive any token (airdropped or not) as long as it's on the same chain. The reason why some tokens do not appear on your balance is because you are using a custodial service (they may choose not to add sone custom tokens).
MEW is a non-custodial wallet and it can be used online (hot wallet) or offline (cold wallet).

Quote
you need to know that it is not completely open sourced which means you can't feel 100% safe there as well.
MyEtherWallet is open source and here is the link to their github repo: https://github.com/myetherwallet

Actually I was talking about Trust wallet and mentioned its not completely open sourced but OP said he is using it for receiving tokens so better he could try MEW like wallet instead of trust wallet. Technically yes, any ethereum address can receive the Tokens running on ethereum network but when the user doesn't have the private keys they won't be able to import the tokens into their wallets.
