HERE ARE SOME THOUGHTS AFTER 5 HOURS OF AUDITION
1. I don't think that fraudsters should be refunded. Their money should be spent for NEM promotion.
2. I found two more big fraudsters and I need about 3 hours more to match txids with names. We need more people doing audition, or bigger reward for auditors.
3. I checked about about 50 random transactions and found 5 fraudsters and 4 of them are big which means there are roughly 10% of fraudsters.
Totally disagree. You can't outright steal someone's money. Send it back to where it came from. Did someone already find your sockpuppets? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Totally uncalled for. Maybe someone should check the auditors accounts. I have no sockpuppets. Anyway, do you really think it's fine to steal someone's money? yes, refunding is the best way. The rule is very clear. They waste our time to audit. They should be punished. I agree their money should be spent for NEM promotion, and some of their money should be rewarded to the audit people. I agree, sockpuppets have generated a lot of work for the community. Im not saying they should "steal" their money but there should be a penalty. After all they did try to steal our money. The penalty is not being part of NEM! If and when NEM becomes big they will be biting their asses ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

My English is very poor, so I can only silently support NEM
I'm sure there are other people speaking the same language as you do so you can do more ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Sounds great ! Keep it up !

There are also some clever things we're doing technically that will make it stand out. So far, I am very pleased with the development progress and the brainstorming of ideas. I think we are building something unique.
From the discussions I'm following on the board it really looks impressing. I don't think we could have found a better dev team. I really hope the crypto world will appreciate all the "under the hood" goodies that you guys are putting in there ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) There so much more than just POI that changes compared to NXT and I'm really excited about that.

hello all,
I have been reading very good ideas during these 2 months, to make a market adoption or make it known to the public like something they feel identify with.
Guys what I am going to say its only an idea , I don't want to change any rule or anything like that, its an idea only, why not to make like Aurora, we are still on time, why not to make 6 billions coins instead of 3 billions, we can still have our 1 millions of coins and the other 3 billions can be distributed freely to the people of Ukraine to every inhabitants equally. This will make NEM known worldwide and NEM will never die as this coin its part of the identity of a country like Aurora is for Iceland. It does not have to be Ukraine, I just say Ukraine as many people mention this country, it can be a country the community decide or management think will be best to promote NEM and make it a success. If we do this I am sure NEM will be a crypto coin that will last for many years and not die in a year or two. We need to make this crypto coin unique.
I think distributing 3 billions coins free to a big community, country etc and the the other 3 billions to the stakeholders its a WIN WIN formula
What do you think?
I think it's very hard to pull that off and also i don't think people there currently give a rats as about us. Imho we should build something that EVERYONE can use in their daily lifes and help them that way. A currency that is stable and independent of politics would help people a lot. We can always start a fundraiser among stakeholders to donate something to people.

We're forming a SWARM team devoted to the promotion of NEM. We're looking members who are willing to do commenting and upvoting/liking articles, posts, videos etc. in order to promote NEM.All interested, please send me email to the address nempromotion@gmail.com or PM with your email address and I'll list you!
For the record the SWARM team is not yet active, since there is no coin launched. We're forming the team now, so that we'll have it ready when the need comes. E Thats great ! This is something the the DOGE community is crazy good at which makes out a huge part of their success. RELEASE THE SWARM!!!!!1

Hi there. I was an early investor, page 40 of this thread:- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=440185.780However, I'm not on the official stakeholders list. I followed all the procedures as set out in the IPO, please rectify my omission from the official stake holder list and notify me that this has been done so that i am correctly listed as a stakeholder. Here is a cut and paste of my post from page 40 of the IPO thread above:- Re: [ANN] NEM -4 billion coins- Equal Shares for ALL - Registration thread (part 2) February 05, 2014, 01:10:33 AM Delete message #784 Please count me in. I sent 0.05BTC for a NEM stake. Earlier I was confused in Blockchain.info and sent the hash of your address instead of the transaction hash when I sent my .55BTC which is hash 60ba1a54137c1a666c0cef542e35fcac71aec324f900db7e59a42a8d538e45e8 Please add me back on the stakeholder list?
Thank you, Snork
That hash is for a TX for 0.0001 BTC not 0.55 BTC Sorry, I was still confused about what to look for. I think this is the right hash for my .055BTC sent way back in Februrary. https://blockchain.info/tx/e0f87e7d8aaec17c7a896fc0ad6943c926d3e1d3c67fc402385c3ffcfcb1c955Snork I added you to the list.

I've added a comment to the list. You should be added at some point. @patmast3r, I have been really patient. May I know when I would be added to the shareholder list? I still dont see my name in the list. @Utopian: Is there any reason why he wasn't added or was he just overlooked ?

Hey everyone! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I have a question concerning sockpuppet accounts, i quickly explain my situation: during the fund raising, a friend of mine talked to me about the NEM project and showed me the threads about NEM here on the forum, he told me that he reserved a stake spot for himself and that i should check out this project... i created my account here on bitcointalk and followed the NEM project for a few days and then i decided to reserve a stake spot for myself too because i really liked the idea of NEM and it's development plans. i paid for my stake in BTC and posted it in the fundraising thread and after that i was set on the stakeholder list, so everything is fine. but after that i did not post anything else with my account and i only login sometimes to read some threads on the forum and to follow the NEM development but my account (johnsson93) is the only account i own and i am only interested in 1 NEM stake! so my question is: how can i be sure that i won't be identified as a sockpuppet account? i thought of it when i read the public auditing here. maybe i don't get everything concerning the technical possibilities to filter fake accounts but i thought that i could maybe be misidentified because of my low activity and creation time of my account... so i thought i'll just ask to prevent a misidentification of my account because this would be last thing i would like to happen... ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thank you! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If you have only bought that one stake than there will be no further transactions associated to you. If that's the case then you have nothing to worry about.

Maybe it could be fair to charge an auditing fee of some kind. 10% of the refund or something like that.
Afaik the bounties are being funded with 2 dev stakes that will be split up among all successfull bounty hunters ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If someone is refunded they'll get their entire money back. A fee would have had to have been pointed out in the original fundraising which didn't happen. Changing rules afterwards isn't our style ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Hey guys - here is a Question from a NXT'er who was only ONCE in BTC, and that was when he bought NXT What is the business with the 'hash' many ppl here are referring to? I have sent NXT, I am on the list (once only, because I have too many other things to do to sneak in sock puppets), and I have a NXT TX_ID for the NXT I sent. Also, I obviously have my account here in the forum, and the PW to that. What I do NOT have is a 'hash'! Is this 'hash' business bitcoin specific? If so, I should just forget about it, correct? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) best, l8orre The TX-ID is refered to as hash. Just forget about it ;-)

This is from the first post of the first registration thread. It has always been there from the very start: However accumulating many NEM stakes goes against NEM's principles of fairness and equality, therefore the development team reserves the right to refund you the money if an effort to unfairly accumulate NEM stakes is discovered.
This is exactly what is happening right now. It's also not like we're mindlessly refunding people. We're compiling a list. Everyone that is falsely accused can still speak up and make their case. If they have plausible and believeable arguments they will not be refunded.
|
|
|
Yeah I've pointed that out already as well but forgot about it since it's been some time. I'll put him down for "refund". Nothing to refund rly but he should be removed.
