2481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 27, 2020, 03:04:34 PM
If you don't die by accident, you can give someone your pass phrase while in the sickbed. If your seeds are revealed to anyone trusted by you, your coins are forever safe and can be used only by the person who has access to your account.
2482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 27, 2020, 06:00:34 AM
One little question,

If I'm not wrong, Spain will go into lockdown tonight. How will it affect the Liga? In a first moment, it seems that displacements will be allowed for work, so players will be able to travel and play, but what happens if in a few weeks/months the measures toughen? Will the Liga be suspended?

And on the other hand, the stadiums are empty, how long do you think some teams can stand with the subsequent decrease of income?

Football activities wouldn't be stopped like the other time, players are being tested on a daily basis to ascertain the  level of symptoms they might be showing towards Covid-19, when a particular player is tested positive he would be taken into isolation similar to the cases of Mane and Ronaldo. I think in a case where match tickets are not been sold for revenue to be generated by clubs, the TV right would be sold higher to be able to cover up.
2483  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: October 27, 2020, 05:48:06 AM
There are illiterate people in the world who don't know what Bitcoin is, who don't know how to make transfer using digital tools, they don't know the purchasing power of digital currencies. As far as the world is still facing these challenges it would be a long time for physical currencies to be eliminated completely. I don't think it would happen perhaps all the payment gateways decides to accept bitcoin for different type of transactions it will minimise the way physical currencies are been moved about.

Physical currencies serve as a symbol of a nation.
It wouldn't be wise eliminating it for any reason imo.
2484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: October 26, 2020, 10:51:33 AM
I know we all work to earn money but if you are not passionate about solving a particular problem faced by a large number of people and incur a change in the process you would end up chasing two birds with a single stone and end up not catching anyone at all. The salaries of experts offering their services in blockchain industry might be eye catchy and enticing but they didn't start with the motivation of money. The were dedicated throughout their learning days until they were gurus. The blockchain industry is a developing one which needs a handful of skills to earn you a reasonable salary along the line but if you want to learn something to offer, I'd advise you take the course seriously to learn it properly and do monitization when you might have learnt it deeply. Untill then your goal is to how to learn what you're learning currently ahead of time.
2485  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Survey]Do we need to provide KYC documents in any cryptocurrency exchanges? on: October 26, 2020, 08:58:51 AM
Many of the exchanges require KYC, but some don't like binance without kyc already being able to trade. But KYC is very necessary to maintain security For example, when you lose 2FA, KYC accounts will be easy to handle

You're right but you don't need kyc to trade on Binance. It is when you need to withdraw to fiat instead of wallet address you are required to submit your documents for KYC. Or when you are to withdraw a large sum of Bitcoin. But KYC helps most CEXs to trace scam wallets, like the person who hacked Kucoin, if he had user CEX wallet who he/she submitted KYC. It would be easy to be traced and apprehend along the accomplices.
2486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, the complete version of money on: October 26, 2020, 05:41:33 AM
Bitcoin is a good tool for making large transfer, the developers and miners need to decrease the transaction fee to a minimal level for everyone to be able afford the fees that comes with so as the adoption we all seek can be able to spread to everyone regardless of what your income is, your social status is and how conversant you are with the technology. Safety is a top priority in dealing with bitcoin, keeping your bitcoin safe should be one of the things you need to do when dealing bitcoin and hardware wallets are the safest.
2487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Free TON - Proof-of-Stake Blockchain Network on: October 25, 2020, 11:24:12 AM

~
Who is this exchange owner? As i understand this exchange only created for trading Ton tokens and admin of this group protect buyers and sellers? Right? But who is admin of this group? Is he someone from Ton team?

It wasn't created for the trading of TON alone. It is a custodian exchange, I don't know who the admin is. But it's quiet transparent as KYC is required in some transactions. You will have to verify your phone number before trading on the exchange. At least it is better than depositing into Coineal and wouldn't be able to trade or withdraw.
2488  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: October 24, 2020, 12:16:03 PM
The apps i only recognized on the list are coinbase and nexo so i would judge it a legit apps but i don't think it will not give profitable as possible and based on my experienced it really requires time and effort to make real money on these money paying apps. Despite the slow earning on these apps, it's a good start also for newbies in crypto industry wherein i also started my crypto experienced on free money making apps, paid to click, faucets and now currently doing airdrop, bounties and little bit of trading.
There are money making apps that appears in my country during quarantine, I'm not sure if they're all legit but it's about completing capchas, watching YouTube and etc. Among the list fiverr, Airbnb and uber were popular it's like using your resources or skills to earn money but it's only applicable if we have car or extra room or house or services that is unique so its less hassle if we will just learn to trade as we can learn a lot if we know how to do it properly.

You have said it all @embolden. It is not actually free, Even your browser is a money making app if you are a blogger, whatever that is available on your phone is a money making software. If you have a valuable skill to solve problems you can inturn earn money through it and whatever you use in getting access to your clients automatically becomes your money making app IMO. The only legit money making app I have ever used without offering any service was Keybase.
2489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🎥 [VIDEO LIST] debates about Bitcoin & Cryptocurrencies on: October 24, 2020, 07:04:45 AM
In order to watch even one of those videos you really have to be interested in cryptocurrencies or watch it when you don't have anything else to do but that would count since you wouldn't be genuinely interested on the informations shared in the videos. That's because most of us don't have the patience to watch a 15 min video about something that's boring what about 1 hour.

You honestly shared an unpopular opinion but truth, I couldn't get past 10 minute of average while watching some of the compilation up there. They are great information btw.
2490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't PayPal decided to use xrp than Bitcoin? on: October 23, 2020, 08:21:41 AM
Your whole statement is basically vulnerable because you're a long time holder of XRP, PayPal should have gone for it instead of Bitcoin. If it is for the sake of you holding it then wait a few more moments it could be fixed into their payment system in no time as Bitcoin holders had always waited. Truth be told, if PayPal had gone for XRP instead of Bitcoin it wouldn't make sense to anybody not even you the advocate of XRP. So appealing not to be crucified isn't acceptable.
2491  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: October 23, 2020, 05:59:44 AM
The main difference to me is; patience to endure losses, risk management and experiences in a particular field of investments. An ordinary man as you have classified cannot wake up and begin to trade Bitcoin or invest in gas and oil sector without having patience to learn the processes involved in the field. The other difference is mindset and availability of either natural resources or artificial resources to utilize in the investment.
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fastest blockchain? on: October 23, 2020, 05:50:47 AM
I have never figured out which seems to be fastest, amongst the ones I've used so far EOS and Tron blockchains are the fastest so far. With less fees and charges for transactions.
2493  Economy / Economics / Re: How can Bitcoin help build a digital global? on: October 22, 2020, 06:12:01 AM
There is no real decentralization anywhere and never has been.
And just try to say about BTC - now Satoshi will come out of his coma and drop the entire market with his wallet, so instead of a bright crypto-future, you will get a bunch of suicides and turning the coin into dust
False hypothesis, what logical evidence do you have to back this claims up? If he wants to dump the price, he could have done it when bitcoin was at its ATH. He never did and he wouldn't do. So don't go around fudding.

2495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy BTC from PayPal now that they are letting people do it? on: October 22, 2020, 05:45:15 AM
PayPal isn't a trustworthy organisation, I have lost over $700 worth of PayPal fund in 2018 reason best known to them, they just locked the account for no good reason. Imagine holding over 3 Bitcoin in the PayPal account and my account gets locked for no reason. I have access to reputable CEXs I can purchase bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency from easily so, buying from PayPal still remains no for me.
2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: October 21, 2020, 01:42:40 PM
I believe Satoshi is still very much around the forum maybe pretending to be a noob in the forum; maybe he has created another big Cryptocurrency to take off the much attention from people finding to know who he is. I believe 3 out of old members of the forum members still have access to him daily or maybe communicate to him steadily. The whole reality is, he would someday review who he is and the reason for his anonymity.
2497  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: October 21, 2020, 11:26:44 AM
Most probably in this section are users that are interested mostly in Economics, so I want to know why Economics attracts you?

As the name implies, you need to have a wider knowledge about economy and how to apply the economic principles to solving real life problems of demand, scarce, supply and want.  Many entrepreneurs who were successful before attending courses in Economics will probably take some time to under some teachings in the field to know more about charts, graphs and a lot of the importance of economics to businesses and organisations.

As health and medicine is important to your life and living so is economics to the health of businesses and economies, Nobody would employ an economist without a degree in economics to manage his/her big firm.
2498  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I had a discussion with a scammer on: October 21, 2020, 08:47:42 AM
These particular types of scam can easily be spotted and avoided, there are enough these kinds here in Nigeria hiding under the umbrella of doubling whatever you invest in 2 hours to ×100. How ridiculous, people still fall for them apparently. It is to sanitise everyone in the Crypto sphere to cut greed off in order not to fall victim of such cheap scam.
2499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 20, 2020, 08:20:19 AM
It is with great optimism I welcome the UCL week, we have been waiting for this to come. I will be entertained throughout the week, looking forward to PSG - Man Utd and Chelsea - Sevila. It will be an interesting week.
2500  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKEX suspended withdrawals, why these exchanges do not offer insurance on: October 20, 2020, 05:33:47 AM
The reason why exchanges don't offer insurance its because it would be very difficult if not impossible to find any insurance company that is willing to take that risk. As far as I know some exchanges like Coinbase or Gemini, they have insurance however its on fiat funds and not on crypto. So if they got hacked and the hacker took $1 million in US funds from their bank accounts they would be covered, if they stole $1 million worth of crypto then they wouldn't be covered.

Crypto is still pretty new thing and most don't understand it. So no insurance company wants to take on that risk. The issue with OkEX was that they should of had a handful of people who had the private keys. Because lets say the person wasn't arrested but instead died for some sudden reason. The funds would be lost forever. The way they handle their security was just way too strict and now they have a huge issue.
I don't know much about how insurance works but I think Kucoin CEO said their insurance covered the stolen cryptocurrencies from the famous Kucoin hack or he wasn't being transparent? Or if insurance companies are scared how could they inure those Crypto assets?
