Maxed my other card (Diamond 7970PE53G) out at ~615 Kh/s with the following settings:

Core clock: 890MHz
Memory clock: 1375 MHz

same cgminer config as above

It's amazing how small variations in core or memory clock (~5 MHz) can result in 100 Kh/s difference in speed..
2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: March 14, 2013, 06:51:18 AM
That's what I thought.  Does 8192 give you similar results to --shaders 2048?

Yes about the same.

Note I also improved on the kernel slightly too in the latest version.

Any thoughts on whether a win64 build would improve hash rates?
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: March 14, 2013, 06:45:28 AM
These are great rates.  Can anyone tell me what the memory usage on card is?  A bug was recently fixed that allowed thread_concurrencies of >8192 but <12000 to be used in cgminer, so I'm curious as to what the thread concurrency actually is (probably either 8192 or 10240)

Can someone try --thread-concurrency 8192 and --thread-concurrency 10240 and see if they produce the same results? thanks.

GPU-Z is showing:

Memory Usage (dedicated): 0MB
Memory Usage (dynamic): 1508 MB

I can't run with thread-concurrency at 10240 on cgminer 2.11.2.  I get:

 [2013-03-13 23:44:16] Maximum buffer memory device 0 supports says 536870912

core clock 1000

same setting as above

This is on a Gigabyte GV-R797OC-3GD

getting me ~680

Anyone running a 7970... dont be affraid to try CGminer.  I just did and now not only can I take advantage of the efficiency advantages of startum, but its actually hashing FASTER then Reaper at the same settings.  (except for thread concurrency obviously)

So stoked!

Agreed, my hash rates in cgminer have always been higher than with reaper.

I finally broke 600 kH tonight, with the following settings:

core clock: 925
mem clock: 1450

"intensity" : "13",
"worksize" : "256",
"kernel" : "scrypt",
"lookup-gap" : "0",
"vectors" : "1",
"shaders" : "2048",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",

Can't connect, downforeveryoneorjustme.com is showing it down as well.  Anyone know what's going on?

Your aggression is way too high.  Try with aggression of 12 and increase it by 1 until you hit max hash rate.

Thank you flound1129 and tacotime for your responses.

It was the aggression. Now I've put 13 and worked fine. The only thing is that I think the kH/s are too slow for my card wich I think it sholud be 350:

GPU 5.23kH/s, shares: 394:10, stale 2.475%, GPU errors: 0%, ~ 5.3704 kH/s, 5409s

Is reaper using 100% cpu?

If so, try adding to reaper.conf:

cpu_mining_threads 0

I don't know if it's using 100% cpu. Where can I see that?

I added this line to reaper.conf but moreless i got the same kH/s

You should be able to see it in task manager.

What GPU are you using?
2490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One miner on terracoins have 51%+ power on: March 13, 2013, 12:09:13 AM
One miner on terracoins have 51%+ power

As of now, global hash rate is 51.4270GH/s
One miner, on Coinotron is hashing at a rate of 45.813GH/s

Is it bad?  Probably he's not malicious, but he could if he wanted...

Edit: Ah, he just left!

Hmm that must be who was driving up the difficulty...

2493  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 81btc on: March 12, 2013, 08:24:37 PM
Coinabul, am I understanding this correctly?  You know for sure that the customer did not receive the product (so you know he's not scamming you), and somehow you think it's not your responsibility to fix the situation, especially when the customer paid extra for insurance?

Are you fucking high?  This is 100% on you to fix.

Scammer tag.

I agree, I don't see what the controversy is here.

I don't have a 7970 on hand to test with (if someone wants to let me borrow one, I'd love to try tuning it and then mail it back to them).  Everyone seems to be getting different results for them, and I've only been publishing those from others.

Also, you could always buy one from Amazon and return it Smiley

Can't some reasonable settings be calculated by the number of shaders etc?
2497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: March 12, 2013, 06:07:32 PM
You need to use reaper for high thread concurrencies, cgminer does not work

thread-concurrency for a 7850 should be between 14000 and 17000

I can't get reaper over 500Kh/sec no matter what configuration I use.  Even overclocking memory and setting "optimal" core/memory ratio.
2498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: March 12, 2013, 05:51:54 PM
Your aggression is way too high.  Try with aggression of 12 and increase it by 1 until you hit max hash rate.

It looks like your display driver crashed.  You can try it with lower aggression and increase it like he said, and you can also adjust your core and mem clocks to different values.  Alternatively you can also try higher or lower thread_concurrency values and see if they help -- every 7xxx card I've seen can do 18+ aggression if the core and memory clocks are set correctly along with thread_concurrency.

What do you suggest for thread_concurrency?  If I set it much higher, cgminer just errors out:

 [2013-03-12 10:52:07] Maximum buffer memory device 0 supports says 536870912
 [2013-03-12 10:52:07] Your scrypt settings come to 1073741824

2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LiteCoin Mining? on: March 12, 2013, 05:44:58 PM
Are you trying to solo mine?  At the current difficulty, unless you have a couple of MHash/sec or more it's probably better to pool.

If you want to do pooled mining just get cgminer.

Hi to all!

I'm trying to mine Litecoins but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have a 7850, windows 7 and reaperv13beta4_64.

reaper.conf
kernel reaper.cl
save_binaries yes
enable_graceful_shutdown no
long_polling yes
platform 0
device 0

mine litecoin

litecoin.conf
host litecoinpool.org
port 9332
user user.1
pass 1

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
vectors 1
aggression 18
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 16
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 16384

And this is waht happens:

Any help?

Thanks!
