True, that's a good reason to have small number of teams in a league. With Croatian league it's different. To someone who doesn't follow the league closely it could look like Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split are close. But the reality is that Dinamo is way better team and in the end they will win the league. All other teams have similar quality. If I'm not mistaken, Dinamo played two matches less than Hajduk so there are six points that they will probably win and separate themselves from the rest of the league. Especially now when there's no more European matches so they will concentrate solely to the national league.

Again, I'm not sure which country are you from but have it cross your mind that they are afraid to talk publicly against the war? After all, in first months of the war (I'm not sure if that's still the case) Putin created a law that punishes everyone who would say that it's a war. It was suppose to be called a military operation. So maybe majority of people are just too scared to publicly talk against it.

I'm not saying that sanctions to Russia are not needed but not in sports where players have nothing to do with the war. People who are responsible for the war (politicians) should be punished, not players.

I too don't think that Qatar has any chance to finish in the top two spots. They have many naturalized players and they play for the money (at least I think that's the case). It's different when a player plays for his own nation because often they put an extra effort to play. Of course, this is football and surprises are always possible but in the group A I think surprise is reserved for Senegal to advance to the next round, especially now that Mane is injured and it's questionable if he will play for Senegal.

I wasn't aware that NATO was pressuring FIFA to ban Russia and Belarus. I understand that FIFA is not so powerful organization like NATO so it's somewhat understandable why they banned those two countries. But still no one can say that it's fair. But when politics is involved, unfortunately nothing is fair.

You can't say that hosting the World Cup will not bring anything good for the sport or football of Qatar. If nothing, it will bring new stadiums. The question remains how will they use those stadiums. For example my country hosted the world cup in handball and it resulted in many new arenas. The problem was that after the world cup there was little use to majority of those arenas because some had capacity for 30.000 people, but handball is not a sport where that many visitors come to see the game. Similar thing could happen in Qatar because football is not that popular there. But I'm sure they will make some use of those stadiums. After all, they are far richer country than my is.

I don't know how it's like in other countries but in Croatia our national television usually makes a documentary familiarizing viewers with the country that is hosting the World Cup. This year was no difference but unfortunately I didn't have time to watch it. But in the past those documentaries were pretty good and one could learn a lot about the country.

Evo konačno i mene u jednoj kampanji. Lova nije baš velika ($50 tjedno u BTC-u) ali daju i nekakve CRP tokene. And because of those problems Russia is under economic and bunch of other sanctions. It doesn't make sense to ban players from competing just because they are Russians. If they did nothing wrong, why should they be punished?

Did Messi announced this? Because I don't think that a player like Messi will be too old at the age of 38 for the next World Cup. It's to be expected that Ronaldo will retire before the next World Cup but, I'm not so sure about Messi.

The answer to why Croatian league has only 10 teams is easy. Croatia is a small country and we don't have enough teams to have bigger eague. Ten is more than enough. Even in this league we have teams that are struggling with finance and organization.

Dinamo can play against strong teams, but they are simpy not good enough to beat teams like Milan and Chelsea. The win against Chelsea in September was a big surprise.

I think that Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split will have no problem maintaining their first two spots in the league. That goes especially for Dinamo who is in my opinion better than other teams. The only thing they lack is a better coach who I think should be responsible for losses against Red Bull Salzburg which in the end resulted in finishing at the last place in this year's group stage of the UCL.

As for Osijek, I hope they will manage to stay at the third place and maybe even challenge Hajduk's second place.

Actually the the biggest problem for Croatian football is lack of good teams that could challenge Dinamo's dominance and actually do something in the European competitions. This year Croatia had four clubs in the qualification rounds of the Europa League and Conference League but none of them, except Dinamo, made it to the group stage. If something like that repeats next year, Croatia will probably lose one or more spots that lead to the European competitions.
