2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin teaching on MIT on: October 01, 2015, 07:18:52 AM
This is great news, I only heard about one other course related to Bitcoin and the Blckchain and that was only a short course run I thnk by Coursea.  This one looks a lot more i  depth.
2502  Economy / Gambling / Re: Its My Lucky Day! on: September 30, 2015, 07:32:40 AM
That is quite lucky, nice one.   I would suggest moving onto another site now as temptation is there to think wow this is a grest site surely I will win again like this so why not increase my bet lol.
2503  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-29] Danish programmers create bitcoin piggy bank for children on: September 29, 2015, 04:58:15 PM
Damn, this is a good idea. I support any initiative to get people or children to save and not to spend. The most unrealistic goal for this, might be this statement.. "  The creators of Ernit believe it will enable grandparents who often live far from their grandchildren to make them presents. "

Older people do not adopt Bitcoin or any new technology very easily.. I struggle to convert people to the Bitcoin idea, once they reach the mid 30's and older. They have been

used to fiat for such a long time, they have been brain washed to think that anything else is a scam. Still a good idea, to target the younger generation.  Wink

You are right it is difficult enough trying to convert people around you nevermind the older generation.  I think it was on the kickstarter page it mentions how you can link your bank account also and that there are multiple payment methods and not just Bitcoin.  Seems they have thought about this issue and have kept it quite open.  I hope they get the funding they need.
2504  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-27] Bitcoin Basketball Android Game With Bitcoin Rewards on: September 29, 2015, 11:51:58 AM
I am a fan of Bitplay, they have released a few games now, glad to see they are continuing to develop more and more.  Everyone plays games on their phones whilst they travel so why not earn some BTC whilst doing so.
2505  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-27] CD - Bitcoin ATM Industry: A Look At The Numbers on: September 29, 2015, 11:49:26 AM
Europe is not doing too badly just behind the US, I have only the one near me and it is only one way, Fiat to BTC would love a reversed one to appear.
2506  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Bitcointalk Android app on: September 29, 2015, 11:44:53 AM
Nice looking app, I also use my phone browser a lot and an app which tidies things up would be great.  it is a shame about the signatures not looking good when they show up.
2507  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-29] Danish programmers create bitcoin piggy bank for children on: September 29, 2015, 11:38:27 AM
I think this is a fantastic idea, bringing it to the digital age.  The fact that anybody can contribute at any time is a great way as the article states for grandparents and distant family to put towards the child's savings in a hassle free manner.  Will definitely be keeping an eye on this!.
2508  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone actually click on signature campaigns? on: September 28, 2015, 05:17:39 PM
On occasion out of curiosity I would click to find out about the company, I agree with an earlier poster that it is the amount of impressions which are the main point as this gives the service visibility, obviously any click throughs are a bonus.
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much have you gambled? on: September 28, 2015, 05:04:39 PM
I imagine this thread will show a lot of losers and just a handfull of winners.  I have lost more than I have won.
2510  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Books4coin on: September 28, 2015, 05:02:32 PM
This is quite a good idea, definitely proof of author is needed.  Would be good also once up and running to have some kind of quarterly competition and the winner would get their book published and earn 100% of the revenue, just an idea.
2511  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poll. What will you do? on: September 28, 2015, 04:58:03 PM
You've just gained ten rolls so why not just keep on rolling  Smiley
2512  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-26] What Would Happen if Bitcoin Was Accepted Globally? on: September 28, 2015, 11:28:41 AM
It would be a very different world if that were to happen although it is somewhat happening now, but if it were the only currency out there that people used it would certainly make for an interesting society.  Where would all the tax revenue come from and all the benefit / welfare payments come from, it would be something to be part of that historic change.
2513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen to bitcoin if it became reversible like paypal? on: September 28, 2015, 11:22:34 AM
IF it did happen then it would be a very dangerous world, there would be an amazing amount of scams happening even more so than there are now, it would add to the negativity that surrounds Bitcoin and eventually kill it.
2514  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece to Receive 1,000 Bitcoin ATMs as Trust in Banks ‘Long Gone’ on: September 28, 2015, 07:38:35 AM
I read this somewhere else a while ago.  Whilst it is a good move 1000 ATMs in a country where it's people are pretty low on funds does seem a little absurd.  Here in the UK there is just 1 anywhere near me and I think only a handfull of others spread around the whole of the UK.  Good positive article though, if Bitcoin can help some people in that situation it is doing well.
2515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: September 28, 2015, 07:31:12 AM
There really is no limit to how much you can win gambling and also there is no limit to the amount you can lose.
Games of pure chance whilst reaping large rewards are just pure luck and you have no input on the outcome.  Sports betting or some table games allow you far more input and sway.
2516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's been flat for almost a year.. on: September 25, 2015, 05:23:12 PM
Would like to think it would go up in 2016.  If mass adoption is the main focus we would need to have it at a level where everyone can pick up a few BTC and not just satoshis worth.  For this it would need to drop a bit further before then flying back up,  who knows but 2016 will be a year for something to happen.
2517  Economy / Services / Re: Suggest Token Name and get 0.001 BTC on: September 25, 2015, 05:18:54 PM
Clumpatia has a nice ring to it don't you think? Smiley
2518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: September 25, 2015, 05:14:12 PM
I thnk the ROI is far too long at the current rate,  if the prices were dropped it might be worth it to give a shorter return.
2519  Economy / Services / Re: We pay cash for the link in your Signature on: September 25, 2015, 03:29:33 PM
Definitely if you were able to pay in BTC and the funds were held via Escrew you would get quite a few people taking you up on this offer.
2520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Caelus; We will send a bitcoin satellite to space! (Join Us!) on: September 25, 2015, 01:56:20 PM
I saw this on Kickstarter, great idea and they are much smaller than I initially thought so would not cause much trouble up there.
