Tens of thousands of coins are sold in blocks each day. I have being supporter, miner and investor in this coin from day one, but how in a name of God so many coins are dumped each day?  EDIT: It's like whatever support is placed, it will be broken in a few hours. I am having so much doubt now[if you know what I mean]. (Not selling a single one though) P.S. Not FUDing, just frustrated... Of course there are no ghost coins. You really need to choose another color. It's so uncomfortable to read your messages. |

Hi, i'm lazy to backup my wallet every time.. So i want to ask.. How to see my private key? Because that is easier way to backup my wallet on a different PC if i know the private key..  Most of the times, when you send some coins a new address is generated to hold the change. So it's not recommended at all to just save a private key, you may lose some coins if your PC breaks. You definitely need to backup the wallet.dat. Anyway, you can get the private key of an address with the command dumpprivkey. |

 Questions guys 1. 30% per year so that means If i have 4000 capts 4000 * 30% = 1200 1200/365 days = 3.28 capts per day or 6.56 per 2 days right? 2. If i closed my wallet and unlock at exactly 47 days i can still mine 3.28*50 = 164 capts through 48th, 49th and 50th day? 3. If someone mined a block before me does my staking weight still be reduced? 1. The amount can't be calculated daily because the process is random. It's like trying to guess if a coin will be tail or head. You could get much more one day and zero other day. 2. Yes, more or less. But if you're unlucky you could miss some stakes. Besides, you lose the compound interest if you don't stake often. 3. Do you mean if your stake doesn't get confirmed? In that case your coins' age doesn't get reduced. |

So the one whose block wasn't accepted will see an unconfirmed transaction. Just wait some longer. It's normal. |

EcuaMobi, is disabling of http://get.captcoin.com/addresses.html a good idea? I can see only dummy now. This statistics maybe not so relevant from now, but they're still sort of Hall of Fame. I'm moving CAPTcoin.com to a smaller server. After that I'll re-enable the list. |

I have most of my coins in my Captcoin wallet installed on my computer. My question is, how will I retrieve my coins if my computer broke and I need to reinstall the OS?
You MUST save the wallet.dat file.... you MUST... In fact everyone should do this now: go to debug window Type: dumpprivkey <Your CAPT Address> ( For each address you have for CAPT ) And save those results to hard copy for your safe, or locked desk or something.... Then you can always rebuild your CAPT wallet... no matter what happens.... Ok I have the .dat file saved on my flashdrive. If I reinstall the wallet after reinstalling a new OS, what will I do with this dat file? How do I restore it? What do you think about the wealth distribution? The top 10 address has 13.8%. The top 100 has 39.1% of coins The average is ⟳139.68 and 2,808 addresses have more than that average. You can see more details here: https://api.captcoin.com/address/top/statsIt's updated every 3 minutes. How about a quick API call that returns the total number of CAPT in circulation? Just that number... nothing else... Actually calling https://api.captcoin.com/address/top/stats is more effective. If the API returns a simple number, it's harder to implement error detection in the client. |
