2501  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bi•Fury | 5+ GH/s USB Miner [IN STOCK!] {CHRISTMAS SALE !} on: January 14, 2014, 04:49:52 AM
I have a few more on the way, what USB hubs are getting the best results with the Bi•Furies?  They do not like my Anker USB 3 hubs at all.

Thanks,

Bear

Do they work in your onboard ports but not the HUB?

You could also upgrade that jally to 16gh for chips and .1btc of labor costs to me.... That's something to buy.

I work for bitcoins.

C

That is good to know.
What is the turn around time?

Just sharing my experience that's all

Thanks for the heads up I was looking for a better fan that made less noise.

A Jalapeno 8+gh/s ASIC, BiFury usb ASIC and gold.
Other than that just mining it for more stuff.

Ok I sent the PM.

Thanks.
2506  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS|WTB]Magic Cards on: January 13, 2014, 10:38:59 PM
Just curious but what cards are you looking for? Any particular format? Standard, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, EDH?

I am interested in cards from all formats.

I'm taking pictures now of some.
I think I just want to sell them all.  They are all from 1994 and 1995.  One unopened Ice Age deck, 1 unopened homelands booster pack and hundreds of others that are opened and in the binder.
I should have the pictures ready soon.
2507  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS|WTB]Magic Cards on: January 13, 2014, 07:08:31 AM
I might be interested, but before you send me pictures, could you PM me with a list of the top 5 or so cards that you are most interested in selling?  It makes things difficult when I get long lists of cards.

Yes I can do that.  It will be tomorrow afternoon.  I'm not even sure whats worth what anymore.  I have lots of them in a binder as well so maybe a few pics of those too so you can see a few more of them at once.
Thanks.  Smiley

So the grow/mine space never happened? Still plans for it? Sounded like a cool concept

It still does not  beat my rate.
Free!!! Grin
I can't sell it like this guy tried to.
We have a methane power generation plant that just went live this summer on our families farm.  Free power from poop.
Then again I'm in NY so no marijuana to go along with it. LOL

Or here are the links:

The hardest one to find is the .inf driver file for windows.  Find it at this link... It's under "Other Files" --> "Miners" --> "BFGminer by Luke-Jr"  --> BFGminer windows inf (driver)

http://cryptostore.io/?page_id=550

Use BFGMiner 3.9.0 available here:

http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/3.9.x/

You will want either 32 or 64-bit depending on your operating system

bfgminer-3.9.0-win64.zip
bfgminer-3.9.0-win32.zip

Your batch file (.bat) should look something similar to this:
(please fill in your mining pool info, along with worker name and password)

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -O workername:password -S all

Bear

I can't find that inf file.  Am I missing something?

Is there something else added to show rejects and errors on ASIC's?
I'm showing slow downs all across the board on ASIC's and a large amount of rejects and errors that were not happening before.

Nothing at all like that changed. You can download previous releases from http://releases.multiminerapp.com if you need to downgrade. This was a very minor set of changes from 2.3.3.

I'm not sure why it is doing this.  Very odd. I am actually going to reboot the system I have not done that yet.
Sorry to be a pain.

2511  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS|WTB]Magic Cards on: January 13, 2014, 04:31:47 AM
I have a bunch of Magic the Gathering cards but they are all old originals with not many special cards.  Although I do have an unopened deck of Ice Age cards if I remember correctly.  Are you buying any of those?  I will get them out tomorrow and take some pics to Email you if you like?

Lots of good info there.  Also there is a good tutorial on how to update the firmware in this thread as well.
Links to drivers as well.

MultiMiner version 2.3.4 is now available for download. Changes include:

  • Fixed KeyNotFoundException parsing pool information
  • Fixed inability to access the Launch menu item on the Process Log
  • Only check & restart GPUs for "Subpar hashrate" - new ASICs have too much variance
  • Remove confusing validation from the Coins dialog

Another release will follow this week addressing some outstanding issues with the information displayed with Auto-Mining is enabled, but I wanted to get this release out as it addresses a crash that some users are experiencing.

Excellent!! Please fix the API parse errors, you could add higher timeout programatically or ask the user to set it by himself. Also, it would be nice to be able to refresh the API on demand, this option could hammer the api servers though.

I believe that when there is a parse error the app should try to contact the api before the 'fetch every x minutes" on settings. Parse error could lead to lost profit if the miner is operating "alone".

I have a on/off switch on my orico usb hub, and i need to have it on off when starting win7.
And then start the hub after win password login, and then the fury is recognized by win7 and bfgminer.

Which FTDI drivers did you install??
They have the VCP and the D2XX sets Ii have no idea which to download for the BiFury.

I'm asking now as mine will be here monday I am trying to be set for them.

Only thing i remember when looking at my download is, FTDI CDM Drivers 2.08.30 and the release info say FTDI’s CDM drivers provide both D2XX and VCP functionality through a single driver package on PCs running the following Windows operating systems:

Thanks I will get that one.
I appreciate the info.
2515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner & MobileMiner: Your Coins. Your Pools. Your way. Win/Mac/Linux/Mobile on: January 12, 2014, 05:43:14 PM
It does the same thing with Litecoin as well.
I have been working on gpu setups as you can see in my previous posts.  My R7-250 starts out at about 96kh/s and gets up to 120 to 124 kh/s and then after about 5 mins drops to 100kh/s.  A couple of different settings I have worked on actually started out at 164kh/s reliably but always after a few mins lower quite abit usually back to the 100kh/s range.  I assumed it was my code and went back to the first one I used.
Now I'm not so sure.

I agree, but, i use MuM to mine coins based on coinchoose api, not multipool "own" profitability-difficulty algorithm. In other words, i ve created about 7-8 coins in MuM, all of them have their own port, i m not using the multipool auto switching port.

Maybe it's hardware specific? I don't see this issue on a 5770, 7950, or 7970. That's on any Scrypt coin.

Does it happen outside of MultiMiner? You can try launching bfgminer with the same arguments found in the Process Log

If it does happen in bfgminer, can you try older versions of bfgminer to see if you can find a working copy? If you can find a version where this works, I can walk you through an online process that should identify when/where this got broken.

This goes for anyone having issues. If you can pin it down to occurring outside of MultiMiner, in bfgminer, and you can find an older version of bfgminer that works we can go from there.

I will do this and see what I get.
Both setups are brand new and I have shaken them both down quite well to eliminate issues.
Hopefully I can find something that helps using your advice.
The drop off is really weird when I add the shaders into my code.  It runs really well at 164kh/s or so but the drop back is really a bummer.  It runs stable and cool as well.
On the other side of the coin though my ASIS's with this version of MM really shine.  Even the little 333 erupters actually run at 370 to 380 with no special tricks or tweaks.
This is fun though digging and troubleshooting.
Still I am looking forward to when my R9 270 gets here for some real hashing power.
2516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner & MobileMiner: Your Coins. Your Pools. Your way. Win/Mac/Linux/Mobile on: January 12, 2014, 01:30:03 AM
You mean coin difficulty or pool difficulty per worker? I ve experienced small hashrate drops while mining on multipool but the drop was caused by the multipool coin change, when the multipool drops the connection from one coin to the other using cgminer. So i guess it has nothing to do with coin/pool difficulty. I havnt googled 'bfgminer hashrate drop" to see if other users are getting hash drops from command line in order to have clear opinion if its MuM or bfgminer fault. I believe there is no way to tell from command line if it s bfgminer or MuM fault since bfgminer cannot switch coins like MuM forces to.
I'm talking about coin difficulty.

There we go. That does resonate with what other users are reporting: when the network difficulty for a coin changes while bfgminer is mining, the hashrate drops (I'm not sure if it's real or just the reported hashrate). This has been an issue only for users of pools that switch coins, namely MultiPool or MiddleCoin.

I do have this noted to look into in bfgminer, time permitting. I think a safe guess would be that bfgminer is using the difficulty reported when connecting to the server for the entire duration of that connection to calculate the hashrate and that this is merely a visual bug.
I don't think it's merely a visual bug, at least not on middlecoin. Even the pool reports a lower hashrate. A little while back the code for coin switching was updated on middlecoin because of the large increase in miners and complaints about the 5-20s disconnections when then pool switched coins, so now there aren't any disconnections anymore and the miner only sees a change in network difficulty. These difficulty changes can happen several times per minute and every time they happen, the hashrate in bfgminer drops. Cgminer on the other hand happily mines on constantly with full speed.

EDIT: Would be great if someone could confirm that it is indeed the miner causing it and nothing on my end. You should be able to easily test it, even 5 mins of mining on middlecoin should be enough to see if you get the drops.

It does the same thing with Litecoin as well.

I've been paying close attention to the work you have been doing on BFGminer with antminers too.  Looks like soon there will be official support.
Those are some interesting ASIC's to say the least.

I really appreciate your help.  Multiminer is a great program. I'm used to managing networks this is really enjoyable to dig into and learn.

My pleasure and I totally agree. It's a very fun playground for all sorts of different things.

All of this has me thinking about making a couple Mine Peon's for my Bitcoin ASIC's.  Like a dummy I sold my Pi a while ago as I was bored with it.  Now I am looking at tons more possibilities with one. LOL
2520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner & MobileMiner: Your Coins. Your Pools. Your way. Win/Mac/Linux/Mobile on: January 11, 2014, 03:39:30 AM
Thanks I will work on that now.

It's much easier to do it when all cards are the same. For entering the settings for multiple models, you want to do the comma separated:

Code:
--thread-concurrency 22400,8192 --worksize 256,512

They are on two separate systems.
I will be adding to the system with the R7 250 though very soon this will help tremendously.

The R7 immediately jumped to 98kh/s and is stable at 55c with this script.  I did start at 13 and work my way up.

-I 20 -w 256  --thread-concurrency 4208

The AMD Radeon HD 8550G up from about 9kh/s to 15-19 kh/s and any intensity over 15 crashed the driver.  This is ok as I don't mine on this system as its a laptop but I like to test what I'm doing on it. It's temp went from 47c to 54c with the following script.

 -I 15 -w 256  --thread-concurrency 1920

Not bad overall.  I will test these out for a day or two then submit them to the wiki so hopefully they can help others.

I really appreciate your help.  Multiminer is a great program. I'm used to managing networks this is really enjoyable to dig into and learn.
