ya know... in june and july, i told my family about bitcoin and tried to get some loaned money to buy some FPGA's. 4 to 5 grand worth. didn't work, obviously. at this point i'm just happy i don't have my spreadsheets on hand anymore to show me how much money the coins i could have mined would be worth...

it's bad enough thinking about all the games i've bought on steam!

Come on, Valve has released Steam for Linux, it's not entirely impossible that they start supporting Bitcoin someday, and drive the price to the moon. Grin

Dear Mr Whale/Manipulator:
If you have got guts, convert your ask wall into a real dump, not the pony dump we have just seen.

And what makes you think that the Manipulator and the dumpers are actually the same entity?

It never hurts you to tease a bit. Cheesy

Wow we will bust $16  Shocked

Edit: Already busted  Cool

I think you're still living in 5 minutes ago
Obviously  Huh

Why don't you time travel to when BTC was 5 cents then?
2505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: January 20, 2013, 07:54:09 AM
What's up, bulls? Why so impulsive? It ain't no Monday yet!

Never put all your eggs in one basket.

Make a bet Proudhon - I'll bet you 10 btc we continue the climb next week

How could you  bet with him? He should have sold all his BTCs. Cheesy

There are multiple people here who try and use the forum to manipulate the price down when it suits them so they can get more coins. I'm beginning to think that Proudhon is one of them.

Check this list. Wink

How could you  bet with him? He should have sold all his BTCs, and being so bearish he would believe that he will lose more even if he  wins. Cheesy

The weekend dip thing tells us exactly why banks suck.
2510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: January 19, 2013, 02:56:04 AM
Actually, I'm already utterly surprised that we have stayed above $15 for so long.

I got bitcoins... I just want more  Wink

Then you should sell, that's what I meant.
but he does that, then he'll just be another person with only fiats crying for lower price

If that's what you expect, then you should buy now, since you're bullish. Wink You can't really convince other people to sell while freely confessing that you are clinging to your coins.

Seriously, if we have only people with only fiats crying for lower price, then the price is not going to go down.

Final score

Lebing and cypherdoc 1

Lucif 0

His rule is that he can extend the length of the game infinitely, until he can claim victory(i.e., scores one point no matter how many you have scored), so you better run right now!

I think silver market parity is a more sensible target and also worth discussion.

Wow. 666 post. I will keep licif silent to keep it for some time Wink

This is public speculation flood thread. With comics, trolling and whatever. I don't offer services, so you can't abuse me that I missing something.

I posted enough pics for thoughts.

I didn't abuse you for anything. I just said what you made are unfalsifiable statements if you don't post target, and that's all.
2517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 17, 2013, 11:11:36 AM
and...?

Oh, I get it, you did not post any target, they are all just in the charts, great.

Congratulations for making the 666th post by the way.
2518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 17, 2013, 10:55:30 AM
I will not post targets here anymore, as this ruins my own interests. Only direction. You might have your subscriptions with existing analysts for targets.

That was what YOU said.
2519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: January 17, 2013, 10:20:30 AM
If he does not set targets, everything he says are just unfalsifiable statements. He could just keep on saying "Let's wait and see...", and since there is never a forever bullish market in the world, eventually there will be a crash and then he could tell people" See, how right I was", even if the crash took place only after we hit $100. And no, before anyone misquote me, I didn't mean we will hit $100.
2520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: January 17, 2013, 06:55:07 AM
Gold and silver have the advantage of not requiring A) Electricity B) Access to the internet

Both of these mentioned advantages are more likely absent from "hostile" environments.

People tend to escape from "hostile" environments, and gold doesn't allow you to escape, while hidding your savings, so effectively than Bitcoin.

You have a point, and perhaps more importantly, gold is also worthless in a sufficiently "hostile" environment, where the only usable currencies are guns and powders.
