2501  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of trusted/recommended Translators on: January 20, 2020, 02:22:43 PM
Sad to hear guys... there still are reputable projects that pay in BTC and I have had the pleasure to work for some - also suggested translators for other languages, who have been paid just fine. So let´s just keep our eyes open and work together.

The number is rather small and not all of us are so lucky to live in "rich countries" where people have higher chance to invest and all projects want to be translated into their language  Wink
That's why we, the normal mortals, may start accepting tokens [which is a mistake!] and later simply stop searching...

There is not much options for translators as the people who normally hire translator in crypto are the marketing personal of a blockchain project which they only pay with their tokens. I tried to demand BTC for a fee but they rather cancel the job to me to find someone else to translate whitepaper, ANN thread and bounty thread for them. its worse when translators has to wait years to get paid.

You guys need to get in touch with established and already running projects instead of watching out for those shitcoin projects...

Edit: As of today I will also start posting available "jobs" I am aware of in the op - would be awesome if you guys notified us as well.

A personal friend of mine is looking for a french translation of his website, which is not crypto related. There is one condition though (besides quality translation of course) - he needs an invoice as he is running an official business in the real world. Wink

Thank you for creating this topic.
For English-Bengali or Vice versa, you can list my name there. I have translated Epic Cash whitepaper, the deal was with escrow service of DarkStar_ and the guy who hired me was happy with my translation. I never use google translation, always do the translation with myself and ensure the maximum satisfaction for the readers.

Cool - will do, do you have some kind of portfolio thread/overview my friend?

Just letting you guys know I am still waiting for the final (technical) details and will post asap.

Very nice quote buddy!

Regarding such "bounty altcoin projects" --> I am not taking such jobs at all. As stated in my thread, I am only accepting projects that pay in BTC & ETH and I dont care about promises such as "you will be paid in our coin that will be worth $XXXXXXXXXXX in future"... and you shouldnt either!

Smiley

Regarding buy-in, I think most of us are cool with 1 mBTC, no?

1-2 mBTC is fine by me. no lower than that---let's keep it interesting!

Nowadays I don't play poker that often - usually only when I am utterly bored - and I never was an ambitious player anyway. Will never forget my first and only Royal Flush though. Good old days at PartyPoker Wink
Oh my, Party Poker - I used to be an affiliate for them when the big poker boom arrived in GER and everybody has been playing there - I loved it and watching that image you posted, hard not to get nostalgic lol.

seriously, that screenshot brings back some memories! i can't believe it's been more than a decade since the poker boom, when i was crushing the FLHE tables on partypoker. Cool

And starting off with some free bankroll they offered everywhere?! Cheesy

Only one more week to go guys, this is gonna be fun!

Liverpool - United 2:0 FT

Another win for Liverpool, I watched the 2nd half and it really looks like Pool has forgotten how to lose...  Cheesy Extreme winner mentality even with not the greatest performance. Really impressed and actually happy to see what Kloppo built!
2510  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk Poker Night @ Sportsbet (Private game exclusively for forum members) on: January 19, 2020, 05:23:08 PM
I wrote previously that I'll ask my friend who likes playing poker. He's also a forum member, of course. At first, he said no, but we talked and now he'd like to join you guys on Sunday. So how does joining the group work? Does he need to write something in the thread to have the name added to the original post or something or will there be a link to join the game? And with only a week left perhaps it's time to decide on the buy-in and other technicalities mentioned in that first post for discussion?

Hey, thats cool - Glad he will play with us! Smiley The list in the op is more of an orientation. I think the tournament will be password protected but I will know more on Monday. In that case, I would just pm everyone who said he wanted to play and give the password.

Happy with the weekend so far, qhat a number of upsets we've got haven't we? Is there one final one waiting to happen with United tonight? I hope not, cause I got a lot of parlays riding on this game. A simple win is enough but I'd need a 2-goal margin to win all other parlays. I'm greedy. I know.

Edit. VVD 1-0. The whole bus was in the box and he found a way.

Is it just me, or does it seem like 80% of penalty kicks are going left this season..??  Strange accusation I guess, but it seems that way.. what a chance Sad

Steve.

Not just you. Saw a screen before the penalty, all of Deeney's shots this season went exactly where he aimed at. Gazzaniga did his homework. Love Deeney but if you gotta shoot the same, make it strong as a mf =p

I am not watching but it seems like United is being completely dominated right? Plus two disallowed goals for LFC?! 😂

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=110642

Quote
BTC Address (must be SegWit): XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Smiley

Quite some things to manage @efialtis, heh ? Grin

I would put my name on the participants list as well.

Did I forget anything? More ideas? Please shoot!

Afaik there is only full ring available at Sportsbet, no ? If not, I would vote for 6-handed, but thats just a detail. Full ring always gets me bored too much Cheesy

Awesome, I was actually waiting for you to join! I would have forced you anyway...

Yeah, good point - will check with the sportsbet poker guys!

Guys, please... why those spammy replies now... Dont mean to offend anyone but everything is nice and clear isnt it? If not, please shoot! We are trying hard to organize an awesome game and such posts dont help really.

Difficult to say how long the tournament will last but with around 20 users (if really so many appear), still it wouldnt last too long I guess - also depends on how berserk we go! Cheesy

did the pool already fix on 25/01? with a minimum of 20 users?
but if you can make the buy-in last for 1 day before the actual day so everyone can join it

Yeah, most likely we will play 25/01 at around 2 PM GMT - who said we would only play if we reach 20 players? I didnt... Regarding the buy-in, really dont know what you mean?

The schedule is not yet determined whether it is Sunday or Monday, but it looks like it will tend to be Monday based on user opinions here.
And also a minimum of 20 people I think that's too high since that currently interested in joining the tournament there are only 20 people.

Nobody set a minimum of 20...

Congratulations iasenko!

Thank you. You guys probably wont be able to buy a beer even with my earings for two weeks but if you manage to hodl it long enough i hope it will be enough for a beer (or lambo Wink

What a great move iasenko - it is because of people like you I became (kind of) addicted with bitcointalk! Great contribution and obviously a great person. All the best to you and your family!
