2501  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Plan a more safer 2023, Merry Xmas on: December 25, 2022, 06:20:19 AM
Your topic misled me to expect a content that reads about the Xmas season. However, the auditors could be working closely with the centralized exchanges to help them boost their market presence. Exchanges are under serious competition and would do anything to target more customers. And the internet market of today is about numbers. The exchanges claiming to hold the bigger amount of bitcoin in reserve could attract investors and newbies attention. So, its not new that people should stay a mile away from keeping funds on exchanges. Merry Xmas.
2502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: immune Boosters in the Forum on: December 25, 2022, 06:04:44 AM
I think the only booster as you called it, is the knowledge we learn here.  Aside what you listed above, member's knowledge about bitcoin boosts on daily basis. When I'm in the midst of bitcoiners my responses standout and they tend to listen to me more than any other person in the room. Many people who are not members of this forum don't know the features of bitcoin and its usage. When you use terms like open source and closed source wallet in a conversation a lot of bitcoiners who are not members of this forum  may get confused. So it's not just a flex, but it effects uniqueness in us amongst others. If you read this forum to some extent you will be happier to learn new terms more than you were after getting your first merit. Those who don't learn in the forum may leave the forum even before earning their first merit.
2503  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Take your bitcoin out of binance on: December 24, 2022, 08:43:08 PM
Please take you money off exchanges, not just binance.
If everyone in this world withdraws all the money in the exchange, then what is the crypto exchange for, isn't the exchange made for trading such as Futures, Margin and so on, to be honest I've seen the news about the Binance $1.9 billion being pulled, but I'm currently still trading and all is well.

I think we can withdraw all our money on the exchange, that's for those who invest long term, exactly as said by @mk4/Ledger/Trezor the right choice.

However, for me trading Binance is currently an option, maybe I will withdraw some of my profits to be stored in Ledger/Trezor, because the current situation is the best choice.

We all know that the money to be taken out is the profits or deposits being stored for long term. Its quite cool to reserve some funds for trading, which will keep exchanges running, for a longer period. Users storing huge amount of money on exchanges contributes to the close down of exchanges. If they had just a little amount of money under their control they'll be lesser cases of exchange scams, hacks and bankruptcy. How do you expect an exchange holding billions of dollars not to face one dispute at minimum if not more? Hackers often target them due to the coins sitting uncomfortably under the exchanges' control. With this new development of people taking out their funds from Binance, traders won't depend so much on the exchange's security, they'll have little to bother if it gets hacked. Definitely, it'll affect the economy of the binance exchange, but they'll benefit from so many other things like lesser attacks and staying long in the market.
2504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Always good Will win in the world so you know on: December 23, 2022, 06:13:39 PM
They is always a price for everything, Good and bad comes with a price. And people must be careful of the part they choose in life. Those who are good will definitely achieve peace of mind over their evil counterparts. Remember some things cannot be purchased with money just like peace. Additionally, money achieved the wrong way will definitely go the wrong way. That's why the fraudsters always lavish their money and most times go broke again. Nothing good comes easy, the good people must work hard to achieve their goals. The world would have been a failed place if they're no such people as good folks.
2505  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has your budget for gambling been affected by the festive season? on: December 23, 2022, 05:39:53 PM
They've been lots of money spent during this period and I'm wondering why its happening so fast. Though, on the contrary, the money, if spent on gambling could yield money or vanish. The festive period like the name implies is one that should be remembered, its been a busy year and tough one we all need to celebrate with loved ones. I've been focusing more on family lately than any other pleasure, as I can't predict how the next year would look like. After the festival then, I'll be more focused to make exceptional gambling decisions.
2506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two types of predictors in bitcoin market. on: December 23, 2022, 05:14:41 PM
One thing about Bitcoin is that Fudders end up becoming shillers. Saylor made the tweet in the days of his ignorance, When I presume he knew nothing about how Bitcoin works and what it is meant to solve. Sometime around 2013 upwards, Bitcoin was still at it early stage of introduction, so it was seen by the present big market players as a possible gamble deal. Saylor today is among the top Bitcoin holders, the reason why no one is to be trusted with investment advices except for every one to do their own research because Fudders are never static in their critics they will become Shillers when the knowledge of what the Fud has prospects.

Yes, Of course, That wasn't his fault regarding the fluctuation of bitcoin price without a big ATH as of then. Given time bitcoin got to a better price, which changed his mind despite the fact he hasn't earned much profits from bitcoin he still trusts bitcoin. With such ATH Saylor strongly believe that bitcoin will perform more than that price soon, I think its the reason he fully jumped into bitcoin. Regardless of the bearish market.
2507  Economy / Services / JOB HUNTING MANAGER on: December 22, 2022, 03:04:34 PM
The increase in the unemployment rate which is affecting the cryptocurrency market is self-inflicted, not that they're no job opportunities, it has been recorded that the easiest things are the most difficult to do. Most fresh graduates find it difficult to submit their CV or resume for a job search, which prolongs their unemployment lifespan. While those who send their Resume forget that in most cases considering the number of applicants that their application may not get read.

Hiring managers when asked about how they read hundreds of CVs or Resume; some confirmed that they fling the whole resumes in a bin the ones that didn't fall into the waste bin gets read. Currently, it doesn't matter how well-structured you've made the CV, the goal is to keep hunting for a job opening that suits your skills.

It could be Crypto or what you read in school.

I'm as well unemployed and offering this service to myself, friends, siblings, and bitcointalk members who wish to work with a cooperate body.

However if you are employed but in a slow working environment; in terms of growth or you don't get those things you seek in a company like good pay, the ability to learn new skills, or making the best use of your existing skills, etc. Instead of withdrawing or resigning from the company without having a concrete backup or staying in the company because they are no other companies available to employ you immediately. You need this service to secure a new job before resigning.

What I do

It's simple; I disseminate CV and cover letters to job openings listed on online job sites that suit your skills and accomplishments, not only that, I take time to tailor the CV or Resume to the language your reader understands; the company jargon. To increase the rate of job interviews.

As this is a long-term process, prospects are expected to make an order between 5 - 10 applications in a month for better visibility.

PRICE

My goal is to provide the best, and the cost per job submission of both CV and cover letter is $15, which beats the risk of spending more than $120 writing a CV and cover letter that won't get read.

Note After building from scratch the first CV and cover letter the second and the rest of the Resume will have slight changes on the PROFILE  and OBJECTIVE Sections to suit the job opening. But, the accomplishment section or Experience Section may be the same. If you provide more experience or accomplishment then I'll add it to the CV.

Contact me on Telegram for more details and samples. @Accardo_jobs

This thread will be updated with my job submissions for quality assurance purposes.
2508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: World cup highest goal scorers update discussion on: December 21, 2022, 06:47:19 PM
Yes, it also seems to me that it was the game in the final that decided the fate of the golden gloves prize in favor of Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, which he certainly deserved by making several key saves, turning the match into a penalty shootout.

Yeah! after all, it was he who minimized their enemy's score so that they won't have any problem catching with it throughout the game it was a success and he truly deserved the award. Most likely he did his best to depend on and in which he managed to depend well for them to win the Championship which was their goal from the start. It was a truly hard-fought battle since they came from a loss to Saudi Arabia and they managed to keep fighting and never lose after that.

Argentina is a Unique team for not letting the Saudi Arabia defeat get to them. the spirit of sportsmanship in them lead them to strive for the cup other than worrying over the defeat from a small team. They actually surprised the world, nobody would have thought that Messi will lift the cup after that 2:1 defeat. As for the Argentine Keeper, he best utilized his skills when it was mostly needed. They were deeply prepared for the French players in all forms, and all they did was to bring out the best in them, which the keeper was not an exception. He deserves the Golden boot indeed, though no side of the team should be given more credit than the other, if the attackers didn't score they wouldn't have been a room for the penalty shoot out where the keeper sold his best keeping skills to the world.
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 21, 2022, 06:19:29 PM
It depends on the kind of bonus, I mean nobody says no to free spins and $$. Deposit bonus or withdrawal bonus are not bad in anyway. Though, going for a casino or switching from one Casino to another because of their welcome bonus doesn't worth it. It kills the focus and you may not win the bonus. Though, playing with your money seems more effective compared to staking bonus as someone already said that he won nothing with his bonus. Some Casino may have programmed their system such that players may no win using bonus, not quite sure. Other than that, emotionally we tend to play games carefully with our money than with bonus points; a player may not feel the pain when losing games with his bonus points.
2510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Two types of predictors in bitcoin market. on: December 21, 2022, 04:15:12 PM
They're those whose responses about bitcoin are always positive and others who were skeptical about bitcoin that are now full-time bitcoiners.

It's clear that such people and responses still exist in recent times, and many users of bitcoin fall prey to the negative predictors. This thread is about two significant people in cryptocurrency; Hal Finney and Michael Saylor who predicted the future of bitcoin, one was positive, the other negative. The false prediction failed and the predictor, Michael Saylor, is now big and deep into bitcoin to an extent of dropping his position as the CEO of Micro strategy to invest completely into bitcoin.

Sometimes, those who have negative thoughts about bitcoin end up becoming full-time bitcoiners in the future and that's a good reason bitcoin users should stay strong in this journey. In the year 2010 Hal Finney's predictions about bitcoin

This is a bullish prediction and if the banks should adopt bitcoin that means they'll be a spike in bitcoin price. Though it looks uncertain, if Michael Saylor after making such a tweet about bitcoin is, today, a big investor of bitcoin then the banks despite the rivalry could change their minds about bitcoin.

As I pointed out in my intro, most people must have changed their minds against bitcoin after reading this tweet. How will they feel to see that Michael Saylor is now for bitcoin? They'll feel disappointed and regret listening to him at first. In summary, stay strong with this journey as those whose perspectives are against bitcoin will definitely, one day, adopt the currency, even the banks.

2511  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: I have to verify my blockchain account? on: December 21, 2022, 02:49:16 PM
I stopped using blockchain.com when they initiated the KYC thing and offered to pay $100 to customers who summits their documents successfully. I tried to submit and my ID was declined, though, however, I felt that they've gotten my information and refused to confirm it just to deny me of the $100 offer. I had to switch to Trust wallet as it was easier to access my assets without having to verify on email the wallet ID needed to login like Blockchain.com, which dulls the impression of constantly checking one's wallet. They're many other wallets that don't require KYC check them out no need for the KYC on Blockchain wallet.
2512  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Consider side effects before implanting NFC chip for LN payments on: December 21, 2022, 02:25:27 PM

And some of the worries are just not possible. i.e. bodily migration. It's just not going to happen.

-Dave

Bodily migration can happen if the chip is implanted so deeply that it comes in contact with a cell, but it's quite certain that the chip will get found. Though, its very risky if it's left Unnoticed for long, which will tighten the process of locating the chip in future.
2513  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Could Binance Collapse? on: December 20, 2022, 11:55:33 PM
Binance could fall, but not yet. I disagree with CZ's warning to the US authorities that if they're prosecuted the whole crypto market will fall. It's quite impossible for everything to fall alongside binance if it collapses anytime. The only effect is the fall in price, yet the market will progress with or without binance. The exchange is too large with many traders across the global, but the truth is anything can happen in cryptocurrency. That's why users must not only diversify their assets, trading with different exchanges is recommended to reduce or minimize high rate of traders utillizing 1 exchange. So that the market won't depend deeply on one exchange like Binance. Which may cause big losses to the market if they get prosecuted or collapses.
2514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I came here to Learn On Bitcointalk on: December 20, 2022, 11:25:47 PM
They're lots of sections in this forum that will help you learn new things about bitcoin. Stick around this section and ask questions on subject you don't understand. Read articles relating to bitcoin on other sites and share your findings with forum members. That's how you'll learn new things everyday. Moreover, You are most welcomed to the bitcointalk forum where good activity brings rewards in form of knowledge and networks. With consistency many people will know you in the forum and as well communicate with you if you've got a service to render. Focus on helping members learn from your research and perspectives. Good luck.
2515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Few Days To Christmas - How Are You Preparing? on: December 20, 2022, 04:31:03 PM
Bitcoin must be in circulation, nothing can stop people from selling and buying. When they're no cash available we are compelled to settle bill with our coins. Its a festive period and people expect all sorts of Gifts from loved ones. I've started celebrating Christmas with family 7 days ago, shared gifts to my nieces and family. I don't think giving should be limited to a specific period like 25th and 26th. Give as much as you could, generosity yields more fortune when done the right way. OP I think your advise should be focused on; buying bitcoin when we've got extra money after spending so much for Christmas.
2516  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What do you think about trust wallet? on: December 20, 2022, 03:19:43 PM
Trust wallet is only keeping things balanced as it'll be bad to have all open source wallets in the market regarding the cloning or mimicking of wallets which led them to opt-in for closed source. The open source wallets is risky and could get hacked too though as @nonce said that it opens room for more security Unlike closed source. Everybody can check the codes for bugs which tightens the security of the wallet; but these people are unknown to users and it doesn't guarantee security since users depends on developers to check the code. I read on medium that someone downloaded the code of Bread wallet and worked a similar wallet and named it breadwallet and scammed people of their money. This is the faith of open source wallets despite being the best wallets as it's not centralized its open and easy for hackers to test their work. I'd say that Closed source shouldn't be considered completely bad, they're actually protecting their wallets from attackers.
2517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: World cup highest goal scorers update discussion on: December 20, 2022, 02:21:12 PM

But it should be noted that Mbappé is now the top scorer in the World Cup, but despite the tremendous title for the Frenchman, it doesn't mean much, it's a shame, at 23 years old with titles of this caliber is quite a feat, I think many times the Players are very ungrateful with their talent, with their achievements, with their positions, not all the time you can be in first place, I know who wanted the World Cup, but you have set a record in a World Cup and that is worth it, Sometimes you don't understand how far a human being can be capable of being so dissatisfied, one of the things you should take advantage of is that you almost won a World Cup, for the next one you should improve more, because you didn't win for a reason, something went wrong.

and:

Kylian Mbappe 'considering whether to reveal desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain'

Quote
With over half of the season remaining, that would be regarded as a bold move, yet it is claimed that Mbappe wants to ensure that there is genuine interest in his signature ahead of 2023-24.

Mbappe turned down the opportunity to sign for Real Madrid earlier this year and it appears doubtful that Los Blancos will return for the attacker.

Aware of his price-tag, Mbappe is reportedly prepared to accept a wage cut in order to facilitate an exit, a move which may lead to interest from the Premier League.

While Liverpool have been linked with Mbappe in the past, focus appears to be on trying to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham for a fee not too dissimilar to what a move for Mbappe would demand.

Source: https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/liverpool/transfer-talk/news/mbappe-considering-whether-to-reveal-desire-to-leave-psg_502402.html

Its quite painful to loss in a game like the world cup final, coupled with his hard work to win the cup for his country. However, regarding PSG the young star is no longer comfortable with the sporting rules in the club which he thinks limits his qualities as a player. Considering that he is keen to reduce his salary just to play for another club, that means his thoughts about leaving the club cannot be revoked, he is leaving. Though, it'll be in a way a disrespect to his President who encouraged him to continue playing for PSG. But, that won't hurt so much, he could make France proud wherever he finds himself and that's what matters. Football requires changes and improvements, Mbappe is at the peak of his career and lots of clubs are looking out to hiring him. I hope he finds the right club that will make best use of his existing skills and give him a room to explore and discover more of himself.
2518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slow down if you want to recover your losses on: December 20, 2022, 01:46:24 PM
^

According to your description you are using Martingale strategy, but unfortunately this strategy does not work as you think and when you lose a large sum you will understand it.

Each successive bet has nothing to do with the previous one. If you lose the first bet, you just start the game with a higher bet. If by the will of fate you will have several losses in a row (which is not impossible) then you will lose a large sum just trying to beat your previous losses.

It's impossible to have several losses in a row playing the all red or black numbers. All my years playing roulette game, I've not experienced such a serial loss, but I'd agree with you that its possible if I continued choosing specific numbers in a row. However they is no connection between  a previous win or loss with my next game. I only pointed that it feels bad to win with small stake, a kind of regret why I didn't stake big, which will trigger the urge to stake big. Sometimes it works and its a faster strategy to increase my bank roll.
2519  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Consider side effects before implanting NFC chip for LN payments on: December 20, 2022, 01:27:24 PM
Its quite convenient to carry cards for contact less payments, and effortlessly ideal and kinda safe to have the chips inside our palms. Many swedes have adopted the idea of chip implants for easy access to their daily activities leaving them with no reason to take along with them any cards or documents like e-tickets, library cards etc when required to enter the train, gym, library or their homes. It's actually simpler to swipe one's hand against digital readers and get an action executed.

However these kinds of RFID Chips may not work for LN payments, but they've got same Side effects on the human body when incorrectly implanted.

It could cause infection; constantly removing and implanting chips from/to the body regarding a new update may be harmful to the human body.

Bodily Migration; Chips can move from a specific location where it was implanted to another position in the body.

Cancer according to Wiki

Aside these side effects, NFC chip implant for LN payment is only compatible with static LNURLw which has no security mechanism attached to it, unlike the Boldcard, unfortunately such chips with security mechanisms are not available or compatible for implants.

Quote
Static LNURLw links are not secure and not suitable for large amounts. Firstly, the chip can be read. Secondly, the static URL is communicated to the POS device during a payment. So the link could then be used to make further withdrawals.

Since we can set up the minimum and maximum amount per day, that won't be a problem for people who intend to try this with low budgets to avoid losing out huge amount of Sats.

Moving on, this guide was initiated by a Swiss IT professional called F418 who was interviewed by cointelegraph at the Plan B Lugano Conference. Though he warned that nobody should try this as it's not a medical advice.

ON github he shared the implant setup processes and ways to handle it successfully and recommended DIGIWELL for body implants. DIGIWELL is a platform that directs people to trusted shops for chip implants across the globe

He recommended LNbits for activating LNurlw extension which will then be used to write and read the NFC chip using Android and NFTtools.

First, check if the implant is readable Follow the link for the implant read and write guide.

Is this convenient enough? what do you think?

2520  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hetzner blanket ban continues. Alternatives to host full nodes. on: December 19, 2022, 06:01:43 PM
They are multiple alternatives to hetzner like Digital Ocean and Linode that you can host your nodes, to ensure 24 hours operations. Though, since these cloud hosting companies are centralized, expect changes in future. It's well clear that choices differ and people may prefer to run nodes on cloud computers, but electronic devices like laptops, raspberry Pi etc, works better, and maintains decentralization; removes fear of getting banned. I've used Hetzner (not for running nodes) and indeed they're quick to ban accounts especially when the IP has been blacklisted for some reasons. In addition, taking a KYC to run a bitcoin node is an unbearable hassle.
