2501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 11, 2021, 11:59:40 PM
Obviously after their win at the ATP cup Medvedev and Rublev are ones to watch.
I also believe that they have a very good chance to advance as far as possible in the tournament bracket, especially considering that despite his high position in the ranking, Rublev has never been in the semifinals of a Grand Slam. Although I think that Medvedev will have more chances and even a good chance for the title.
Too bad Wawrinka lost, I like seeing him play but chances that Wawrinka will win another grandslam has also become rather low.
In general, it is surprising that Stan Wawrinka managed to take his Grand Slam titles at the time, so he should again be very lucky, which is quite problematic with the current live and healthy TOP 5 of the world ranking.
The biggest upset so far in the tournament was that last years AO winner Sofia Kenin was knocked out in the second round by Kaia Kanepi. We don;t see this happen to often but as we have said, we think that some players preparations for the tournament have been tough by not being able to train and practice as they normally would ahead of a grand slam and it does show with some players.
This is the current women's tennis in all its glory, when there is no total domination of any one player and the title can be won by any player from the TOP 100, and the title holder, on the contrary, will be eliminated in the first rounds. No kidding, think back to last year and the final of Roland Garros.

Neymar will not play the first leg against Barcelona by 90% according to most French newspapers .
The strange thing is that he has repeated injuries during this period of each season, and thus it has become impossible to know if it was due to his sister’s birthday as usual, or if it is really a real injury.
The biggest loser is PSG, because the Brazilian has a great influence on the team's form, confidence and morale, especially in the face of Barcelona !! Currently the Parisian club is without two very important weapons, Neymar and Di Maria, which makes the test difficult for the Argentine coach, who is still getting to know the best squad to face Barcelona.
This is very bad news for Paris Saint-Germain, as many would not relate to the manner of play and behavior of Neymar, but it is worth recognizing that PSG with Neymar and without Neymar is a very big difference, despite the presence of Mbappe in the squad. And even if the Brazilian can play in the second leg, it is not a fact that it will allow PSG to achieve a winning result, despite all the problems that plague Barcelona, especially since Messi continues to score his goals.
2503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 11, 2021, 11:41:45 PM
But if we think realistic, I give Liverpool a very little chance to be the champions this season after I've seen their poor performance against City in Anfield.
Yeah, that's why I said the chance for the title "isn't quite big". Even if there are still 14 matches remaining, we cannot expect much on Liverpool because they still have no solution for the injured key players in the defense line. Except if all the defenders can recover from the injury soon and they keep winning for 3 points later. While Man City and Man United lose many points in the remaining matches. In this situation, Liverpool can be the winner, but I think it is difficult to happen.
Manchester City have already set a record among English clubs and have won 15 matches in a row in all competitions and the main question is whether the club will be able to maintain the speed gained or will go to losses. By the way, Guardiola ironically spoke about the championship of Manchester City, that a few months ago they had no chance of the championship and the Champions League, and now they are already champions, so maybe they should not play in the Premier League anymore, since they are champions? Wink
2504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 11, 2021, 11:28:01 PM
There are 4 teams that have the chance to make Atletico Madrid drop point in my opinion:
1. Real Madrid
2. Atlethic Bilbao
3. Sevilla
4. Barcelona
Good list. If we consider the players' quality on the team, surely these teams that have bigger chances to defeat Atletico Madrid or make a draw result with Atletico Madrid. However, sometimes even a small team can beat or make a draw result when they against the number 1 position on the table. This is something unpredictable and it really happens in La Liga or other League in the world. So, actually, the chance for Atletico Madrid to lose points is always there.
Of course, any team has a chance to take away points, but some teams can take away more points, and others can take away less points. This is exactly what distinguishes large teams from small ones - something that happens quite rarely for some, while for others it happens on a regular basis. Therefore, I would still prefer to rely on the commands from the above list for forecasting issues.
2505  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: February 11, 2021, 11:20:59 PM
Despite the hate of fiat by many crypto enthusiasts, Fiat has been the only route many get into Bitcoin and many other Altcoins and it has also been easier for retail investors to get out of crypto space with their profit.
Many investors run for fiat because of its inflation rate but no matter how long you invest in an asset, at a point in future, your value will definitely be liquidated in to fait in other to enjoy economical value with your friends, family and live ones since bitcoin isn't generally accepted in all places.
You can love or hate fiat currencies, but you just need to recognize that such currencies form the basis of modern economics and public policy, and no cryptocurrency is able to compete at this point in time. But any thing has its costs and relative disadvantages, in the case of fiat currencies, this is constant inflation, which is a good help for the state for economic growth, but a bad factor for the ordinary population, which slowly devalues savings.
2506  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin's price drop to 30K healthy? on: February 11, 2021, 11:10:30 PM
Based on recent increments it's obvious that bitcoin will increase every three months interval and I have seem that before 2024 bitcoin will  reachl eighty thousand 80 k, because these year the rapid growth of bitcoin was surprising it started from 17k to 19k even when it get up to 40k people mind set is that bitcoin will fall back to 20k so correctly bitcoin is in 46k.
I think it is not sure, bitcoin price should not be based on months, you should based on the charts and volume of it in the market. I know that it is understandable if bitcoin may dump or have a dip after this long rally to above $40000, it is normal, so I think bitcoin will have the correction next month and it will go lower up to $30,000 and then after that it will have a swing before it will go higher again, economy in each country is rising people have their money they will invest in bitcoin once they got the right time.
It all depends on what levels the market will fall to. Let's say if it falls to one thousand dollars, and then grows to ten thousand dollars, then you can hear the joyful comments of all sorts of experts that bitcoin has experienced a powerful leap and has risen ten times. At least I hear something similar when some try to compare with the level that was at the beginning of last year Wink
2507  Economy / Economics / Re: Great reset is done on: February 11, 2021, 11:00:06 PM
So this could ignite conflict between democracy and communism for the ultimate power? The USA is so powerful because of its economy so if they failed to overcome this economic crisis and devaluation of dollars they will create conflict to hold their powers. So the fall of the most powerful county just started slowly by this economic disaster.
This is a very dangerous strategy, because there are so many contradictions and the world does not consist only of black and white, as all sorts of propagandists and strategists try to present to us. The incitement of conflicts can very painfully hit the most incendiary, which, given modern weapons, and especially nuclear weapons, can lead to disastrous consequences. And I am not sure that future power is worth such a high price and whether such power will be needed in a ruined world.
2508  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 B in Bitcoins on: February 11, 2021, 10:40:01 PM
... then they should return it to shareholders through dividends or buybacks. But in the second half of of 2020, Tesla issued at least $10 billion in new TSLA shares. This basically means that they took $10 billion from existing investors by reducing the value of their shares, and now they're using a big chunk of this money to speculate on a very volatile asset. ..
Tesla, as many companies of the dot com bubble is a lot about hype and very little about (non-existing) profit.
You are certainly right from a financial point of view, the management of a company that has to rise cash and dilute shareholders should not be making investments that are unrelated to their vision and highly speculative in nature.
Now, put on your Marketing hat. Bitcoin after the halving is the coolest bet for all the millennials and having a Tesla is all about being super-cool and show it to the world. So, Tesla has made a highly speculative investment and without spending a dime (the bitcoin is still there) has gotten once again worldwide attention. A master-move.
Disclaimer: This is not an endorsement. I probably have indirect holdings on Tesla stock, I haven´t bothered to find out really.
No matter how we feel about it, but this is the reality of the modern crazy market, as well as the highly inflated capitalization of some companies that have little correlation with their profits. Elon Musk himself was initially skeptical and distrustful of the current capitalization of his company, but he had already changed his mind by now and began to fiercely defend the current state of affairs in his speeches Wink
2509  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: February 11, 2021, 10:20:45 PM
JP Morgan will say that they do not recommend X until they are the owner of 5% of the X in the world, and then they will say X is supercool. Why do we bother to listen to investment banker´s recommendations?
Because most people tend to be guided by someone's authoritative opinion and for someone the opinion of JP Morgan is exactly this authoritative opinion Wink In this crazy world in which one part of the people listens to the tweets of one representative of the car company, why not exist the followers of another company  Grin But seriously, the most important opinion should be your own opinion, because your wallet will be personally responsible for the consequences.
2510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 10, 2021, 11:59:18 PM
A hard times barcelona players will have today againts sevilla...kounde j. already scored the first goal for lopetegui squad in the 25th minutes after a wonderful individual effort...messi squad need to react fastly and not let the sevilla dominate the situation
And Rakitic made score 2:0 near to the end of game. Well, I had feeling that he will score tonight. There will be second leg game at Camp Nou, but it will be very difficult to make comeback, Sevilla looks impressive, 8th win in a row in all competition.
I only can't understand why Koeman made first substitution only on 85 minute...
This can probably mean that Koeman did not see it, who can strengthen the game and hoped that those on the field will be able to rectify the situation? Wink By the way, it turns out that Rakitic looked like water and I remember how before the match Rakitic promised that he would not celebrate the goal of his former team much because of the good attitude of the Barca fans at the time and the fact that he had a daughter in Barcelona.
2511  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: February 10, 2021, 11:44:12 PM
It is too early to talk about the effect - very few people are vaccinated worldwide. A noticeable effect can be expected only when at least 50% of the population is vaccinated. Moreover, countries with a large population should be considered, since a country with 99% vaccination and 1 million population is not significant for statistics.
Yes, and we must take into account that by the time 50% of the world's population is vaccinated, there will already be 3-4 mutations of the virus Sad
A lot depends on the type of vaccine due to the principle of their work - some are really not useful for new mutations, some are quite effective against mutated varieties of the virus. I am afraid that we will see a situation similar to the flu virus, when by the beginning of the epidemiological season, they predict what type of flu will be pathogenic and produce a vaccine on this basis. Fortunately, the production process is already established. Hopefully, by the end of the year, the problem with Covid 19 vaccines will also be solved.
2512  Economy / Economics / Re: 2021 not Looking good on: February 10, 2021, 11:30:43 PM
Try not to stress, 2021 will improve the economy. We lost bunches of things in 2020 and next year will bring them back.
Government increment each thing's value everything become more costly.
If the pandemic got disappeared, at that point, everything becomes back to typical.
Additionally, there are many possibilities that next year improve bitcoin's price more so for me next year will be good for us.
When we talk about the prospects for the economy in 2021, we do not have to count on a full recovery, but only express a timid hope that the world economy will only get on the path of recovery at best. Therefore, when it is said that 2021 does not look good, it is worth making some clarification that the year is not good compared to the pre-pandemic ones. As for the comparison with 2020, there is hope that 2021 will be better.
2513  Economy / Economics / Re: Im big fan of stable coins and this is what I think on: February 10, 2021, 11:20:10 PM
It doesn't make sense because the government already have a plan to release their own CBDC, why would they put CBDC aside and allow USDT? I only use USDT to store some dollars that's the only use i have for the project, if you invest on USDT you aren't getting anything back, a stable coin is a stable coin
If you start talking about investing, then you should immediately make a reservation that stablecoins, due to their binding to the exchange rate of fiat currencies, do not have anything to invest in. Also, you should immediately keep in mind that all stablecoins have no direct relationship to fiat currencies and no one can give any guarantee of the safety of funds, so if you want to increase your funds through cryptocurrencies, then stablecoins will not be able to help in any way.
2514  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the potential side effects of corporations selling fake crypto? on: February 10, 2021, 11:09:48 PM
They literally just inflate their assets by essentially borrowing your funds in exchange of an 'agreement' that they are holding something for you. If they cannot provide withdrawals for 'your crypto' that you bought from them, there probably isn't one to begin with. While I do agree that PayPal taking part in the crypto scene is bringing things closer to people, it also has its own demerits, especially the one that people aren't able to actually hold their coins. The experience is very limited to just buying and selling right now, though I hope that PayPal would soon provide actual withdrawals for their customers to get the full experience of being a bitcoin owner through the simplicity offered by PayPal's platform.
The PayPal platform and the platforms used by cryptocurrencies are too different in their principles and most of them are even opposite, and therefore there can be no question of a large integration in the near future, so the cryptocurrency community should still be happy that platforms like PayPal at least accept bitcoins and contribute to the greater popularization of cryptocurrencies
2515  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 Billion in Bitcoin! on: February 10, 2021, 11:01:38 PM
Funny how he did this after shilling DOGE in his twitter. Nevertheless, this only earned him the praise of the Reddit Community who already sees him as the Tony Stark of this Generation, not understanding that the guy is literally memeing all this time.
Now in the case of this 1.5 Billion Dollar bitcoin purchase, one can easily he's a visionary and saw great future for bitcoin, which I think is true. But I can also see him building or already mobilizing an ulterior motive which may not be as altruistic as most people think it is.
The world of big business is ruthless and will calmly crush any idealist and altruist, so you should always take off your rose-colored glasses and try to see quite prosaic things in all events, because all good wishes should have a strong economic basis and a banal calculation. The purchase of bitcoin by Elon Musk's company and all his tweets about cryptocurrencies are from this series.
2516  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: February 10, 2021, 10:51:11 PM
I am not of the opinion of taking loan just for the investing in bitcoin as there would be phase when the market from top could fall for some time and that too could extend the losses, and if the timing turns out to be wrong then you may just be in a scoop of heavy losses. Though it’s a risky proposition, if on some drop in price want to just try the luck might take a small loan and invest and once it rises sell it and return back the loan amount and keep the profit and invest profit back again.
The cryptocurrency market is still a very risky thing to recommend to anyone to use loans for transactions. A bad time to enter the market and/or a prolonged correction can drive such a risky investor into huge losses.
2517  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 10, 2021, 10:40:25 PM
I think that the corrections will be small, but the value of bitcoin will still grow, it will just happen gradually. It is enough to read the news about who invests their funds in bitcoin and you will understand how far everything has gone, now the bitcoin value has no way back, only forward.
I would like to believe that there will not be a big correction, but the memory of the previous ups of the exchange rate price gives rise to some doubts. The news related to the purchase of bitcoins by Tesla certainly gave some impetus to the market, but still this is an isolated phenomenon and there are no such daredevils among megacorporations yet, and therefore, in order to avoid a return path in the price, more such purchases are needed.
2518  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 Billion in Bitcoin! on: February 08, 2021, 11:57:05 PM
Bad news for all the people following Elon like lemmings off a cliff into Doge. I honestly don’t know why people put so much stock into what Elon does, he has a long history of trolling and erratic behavior, and he’s not a particularly good role model (threatening to fire workers for not reporting to work during a pandemic when the county said it wasn’t safe to open his factory, calling a journalist a pedo on twitter because he criticized Elon’s narcissism, using twitter to pump his company stock with materially false information, etc.) Unfortunately, this board is going to be flooded with Elon worship even more now just because of this. We need better heroes.
Bad news for people that invest their hard-earned money just because someone said something on a social platform. I am so over feeling sorry for people that still invest in that way. For others that look at this whole crypto thing as a long-term commitment, someone hyping a coin or some big shot name buying another means Jack shit. Heroes and Villains, role models...we are talking about CEOs of multinational companies, please let's not look to them as role models. At best let's judge their companies on what good day do to our society, if any. If I look at this more positively, this could be a nice step forward to get others to invest their capital into projects that revolve around crypto.
The Biblical commandment about the creation of idols has not yet been canceled, and therefore in such matters you need to include your own mind and not trust the elements of the crowd. However, this does not negate the fact that this element can and should be used profitably for their own purposes Wink Whether we like it or not, such characters move the market regardless of our judgments about their moral character Wink
2519  Economy / Economics / Re: Im big fan of stable coins and this is what I think on: February 08, 2021, 11:40:41 PM
I don't think government will be using USDT or any other currently available stable coins. They highly likely will make their own stable currencies if they wish to go mainstream. Mined/minted and controlled by the central bank, giving the government full power while making good use of crypto currencies.
I think haven't heard about the horror stories linked to USDT. People say that your USDT can be frozen on your own wallet by tether. I have read about various wallets getting frozen. Even USDC wallets can be blacklisted. So, are you still a big fan?
Governments can, with some reservations, quite calmly treat cryptocurrencies and even try to use them, but of course they will not in any case compete with their own fiat currencies, because this resembles the introduction of a parallel monetary printing press, which violates the state's monopoly on such things. But still, it seems that before the widespread introduction of state-owned cryptocurrencies, you can not worry much about stablecoins yet.
2520  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin's price drop to 30K healthy? on: February 08, 2021, 11:30:24 PM
Already @ 44,000 breaking another ATH and with how things are working inside the market it keeps gaining more attractions, investors keeps coming and buying even at the highest price.
With Tesla/Musk hypes there are more expected institutional investors to come and join this investment, though we can still see corrections but with the support barrier 30,000 is more likely far being hit again, if this hypes continue maybe this month it can reach upto 50,000 or more than that.
It will be interesting to see what kind of momentum will be given by the publication of the news about Tesla's purchase of bitcoins and to what levels the growth will occur. I will also not be surprised if the market soon overcomes the level of 50 thousand dollars. I can say even more that I am rather surprised that this happened earlier Wink I do not think that this purchase will break the dam of distrust and the market will be flooded with new large investors, but I think that some will still push to enter the market.
