2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first physical business that accepts Bitcoin payments in my area. on: August 22, 2022, 05:35:57 AM
Can I just give you some advice ..please.

Support that business with regular purchases and also encourage your friends to support it to, because if you do not do that... the owner will decide to remove that payment option.

We had a few businesses in my area that also decided to do that, but he got almost zero transactions and he also struggled with BitPay and then when I visited the shop again... he stopped accepting bitcoin as a payment option.

Also ask him to give a small discount to people that pay with bitcoins, because that will be the incentive for people to rather pay with Bitcoin than Fiat currencies.  Wink
2502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It For The Money Or For The Sport Or A Clear Exploitations on: August 21, 2022, 12:07:25 PM
It is very clear that most of these exhibition fights are just hosted to ride the hype and to make loads of money. It is fake and most of the fights are rigged, so the outcome are pre-determined. They also arrange for a re-match and then you will find that the challenger will win that fight, so that they can cash in on a 3rd fight.  Roll Eyes

So, no thank you..... the TikTokers should stay with what they are doing... and leave the professionals to do their thing. I am kinda sick of all the "fake" stuff in this world.  Roll Eyes
2503  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: August 21, 2022, 09:52:30 AM
Stake always had this "limitations" going on because they are a giant of the sector right now. When you become such a big industry leader, you shouldn't really bother with people like me who can't afford to wager 3k per week, and that is understandable. What they are basically saying is that "we have people wagering a million, when we can deal with those people, why would we deal with people who wager less than 3k per week?" and that’s true.

I know it sounds terrible to people who can't wager that much, I am one of those people, but they are 100% fully right on this, it just means they would have to put resources in places that they can't get back.

Wrong, I would rather have 50 000 or 100 000 people wagering a minimum of $3000 per week.. than a few whales wagering millions, because those whales can go away in a second. They are also high maintenance and they have huge leverage over casinos to misuse their hold that they have over the casinos.

Just look at what happens when a powerful "paid" streamer starts throwing their weight around... they quickly forget who are feeding their families. Also, having a large user base, increase your reputation in a very competitive industry. (Where do you want to gamble...? ..at a casino with 300 active gamblers.... or a casino with 20 000 active gamblers?)
2504  Economy / Economics / Re: Lenders and borrowers during inflation on: August 21, 2022, 09:38:15 AM
Well inflation can be good and bad for both parties.... depending on what happens with inflation.... because governments adjust the interest rates.. based on the inflation. So there are a balance mechanism for both parties.... but there are also counter measures to protect both, like fixed interest rates.

The person taking the loan always lose out in the end, no matter what happens... because they have to pay the interest on those loans. Rich people pay cash.... they do not pay interest on loans, so they score the most.  Roll Eyes
2505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto Reveal his identity ............ ? on: August 21, 2022, 09:14:47 AM
Ok, so tell me this....

Why did they not give Craig Wright the Nobel Prize in Economic Science yet? He is supposedly Satoshi Nakamoto .... right? Wrong .... he is not Satoshi Nakamoto ... and the moment when it is announced that he was... he would be arrested.

In most countries it is illegal to create your own currency.... and 3Letter agencies has been sharpening their knives for years to get their hands on the real Satoshi Nakamoto. (His technology has caused them a lot of troubles, even if Satoshi was not directly involved)  Wink
2506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are all Hodlonaut on: August 21, 2022, 09:02:20 AM
Imagine this scenario :

Satoshi Nakamoto sends some of his coins to a trust or a person that needs the help with litigation cost against the fake Satoshi. That will be the ultimate justice for a guy like Craig Wright. The person or persons that he says he is.... spending his coins to prove that he is not Satoshi Nakamoto. (If it was me.... I would even sign that address with a big FU Faketoshi message)  Grin Grin Grin

What people does not understand is this.... every court case or settlement he wins, adds more money to his pockets to file more lawsuits against more people.... "Will you be next?" ....
2507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 20, 2022, 04:43:22 PM
Just to clarify something.....

I see a lot of lazy people that are simply reading the "Subject" of this thread and then commenting on how Streamers are affecting people to start gambling.... and this is not what we are talking about here.... read the first post!

We are talking about how "paid" streamers are affecting the players experience that are already gambling on the different sites. (funding other players wins with the money they get from the casinos or even sweeping the funds that other people are playing.... )

We need casino experts to debunk assumptions or to confirm it.... if possible.
2508  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: August 20, 2022, 04:36:42 PM
I think both men and women have an equal chance to succeed in entrepreneurial enterprises, because not all women and men are the same. You get clever open-minded men and women... and also men and women that are struggling.  Roll Eyes

There are a lot more factors to keep in consideration to determine if someone will be successful or not... and you cannot simply look at a persons sex to see if they can succeed or not. (Example : Drive / determination / skills / experience / funding resources etc....)  Wink
2509  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitdice delaying everything they can to kyc and withdraw on: August 20, 2022, 12:08:29 PM
they have 1 guy processing all withdrawls and he only comes on on the weekend apparently they told me (the players) that 50$ withdrawls go faster so i did 15 of 50$ hoping for the rest soon

When I see Support saying things like this.... I cringe... because that says a lot about the site and how it is being managed. The deposits and withdrawals must be super quick at casinos, because gamblers judge a site... based on that.  Roll Eyes

The scam accusations that #yahoo62278 are talking about, shows that they are "bad" operators... so I will not get my hopes up too high. Good luck.... it's going to be a battle getting your money out of this one.  Angry
2510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining can be carbon negative? YES! on: August 20, 2022, 11:53:06 AM
If you really want people to invest the money, at least show your team and you! You can not stay anonymous and think people will invest. Do you have a background in this field even?
What will be your investment in the project or will you even take a part of the 1 Million for yourself?
Also why dont you just feed the electricity in the public network or mine bitcoin yourself?

Yes, buddy... I will even take the whole million for myself. But it gets better! I do this in all forums of all the different cryptocurrencies simultaneously. Of course, I twist the pitch a bit so it doesn't get obvious. Smart, right? And you know why it works so well and why I have already scammed a fortune from the scene? Because not everyone is such a genius as you are. With you, I have to say, I stand in awe! In all the decades that I am doing this, I have never come across someone with such a brilliant and investigative mind. STUNNING! Tell me, after you dropped out of high school, did you take the FBI classes right away or did you volunteer at 21 Jump Street first?

If this "mocking" of potential investors is the way you are doing business, then I do not want any part in this. The guy was asking a bunch of questions and you decided it was a good idea to be sarcastic.... very professional indeed.  Roll Eyes

In any way, Projects under development goes here ===> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0 .... not in the Bitcoin discussion section. Good luck with your project... but it's a NO for me.  Roll Eyes
2511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 19, 2022, 11:08:08 AM
This has been a contentious issue and a common discussion under online gambling for a long time... and I want us to talk about this too.

How does the "Paid" Streamers ..influence other gamblers experience? So, the common assumption is that "Paid" streamers basically have limitless funds that are paid by the casinos. They can play, until the Slot pays them, where other people play until their money runs out. (This is a misconception obviously, because the outcome of each bet is determined by it's seed and the Slots variance and RTP)

People are also saying that "Paid" streamers are basically "sweeping" all money that are being played by others on those specific slots. (You often hear people saying... "I cannot play XXX Slot now, because streamer YYY won big on that Slot) - If I am correct... all funds that are played in a casino goes into one "Pot" .....and wins are paid out of that... or in the case of a Jackpot system.. into a "Pot" at the 3rd party service provider. (Is this true or false...any experts out there that can clear this up?)

Just to make something clear .... not all Streamers of gambling content are "Paid" streamers or affiliates of casinos.... some use their own money. (Example : Syztmz)

Can a "Paid" streamer or an expert from a casino... please help with some factual inputs, so that we can clear up any misconceptions?

On the flip side of the coin..... Some people believe that "Paid" streamers are actually "feeding" or "funding" other people's large wins. They can only "sweep" other peoples funds, when they win.... if someone else win before them... the opposite happens... right?

Let's discuss.... and enjoy this thread please.  Wink
2512  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #LiveTheDream on: August 19, 2022, 09:40:56 AM
I just noticed bitcasino.io doesn’t accept Lightning Network transactions as a way to deposit funds.
Does anyone know why this feature is missing? Are they going to implement it?
I must say that I noticed that also on other casinios, maybe there is a specific reason for this.

There might be two reasons for this :

1. Extra maintenance & effort : They will have to run a Lightning Network Node and have someone with knowledge maintaining it 24/7

2. Demand : There must be a big demand for it, before they will even consider it. Why should they implement something, if nobody is going to use it.

The low fees and instant transactions is a big advantage for most gamblers.... so I hope we will see the Lightning Network payments on Bitcasino very soon.  Wink
2513  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-08-16] Mark Cuban Sued for Allegedly Promoting a Massive Crypto Ponzi on: August 19, 2022, 06:55:36 AM
Is the source of the news from Roger Ver's cryptonews media site? It is okay, you do not have to be ashamed to post this hehehehe.

https://news.bitcoin.com/billionaire-mark-cuban-sued-for-allegedly-promoting-a-massive-crypto-ponzi-scheme/

In any case, if Voyager is judged a ponzi scheme, I reckon 95% of the whole cryptospace can also be judge as a giant ponzi scheme including much of the ICO coins and tokens. However, the skeptical me thinks that the plaintiffs only want a case to later settle and get money from Mark Cuban.

Sorry, I forgot to post the source....

Yea, I reckon most people will say that.... but Mark Cuban is a very rich celebrity and people will look for ways to get their hands on his money.  Roll Eyes

It is a pity that things like this happens and then we as a Bitcoin community get the blame and well known celebrities like Mark Cuban turns their back on the technology. (We need people like him to promote Bitcoin.... not Ponzi schemes or ICOs)
2514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I have bought Bitcoin ? on: August 19, 2022, 06:36:17 AM
When I hear the word "Monk" .... I immediately think of a wise old man on top of a high hill... far away from all the influences of modern technology.  Cheesy  It is refreshing to see that even Monks are adapting to society and modern world now.  Wink

Just a warning... DO NOT use this forum to ask for donations... because it is against the rules. You can post some pictures of your charity work to add some credibility to your post. (remember... anyone can come to a forum like this and post anything.... there are a lot of scammers out there)

If you post something believable .... people might reach out to you.... like that person that gave you the $5000.  Wink
2515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting facts about Bitcoin on: August 19, 2022, 06:00:49 AM
OP, when you create threads like this, just consider the following....

Webcrawlers will explore the Internet for information like this, so it is VERY important for people to get accurate and factual information when they type "Interesting facts about Bitcoin" into their browsers and they land on your forum thread.

Go through the posts in this threads where people made very good amendments and comments and then edit your original post to make those corrections. Let's share the best possible "facts" to the uninformed people out there.  Wink
2516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban in China and some noble countries. on: August 18, 2022, 09:58:54 AM
They're partially correct.

Bitcoin is decentralized, that's why they can't have full control of Bitcoin. But even it's decentralized, Bitcoin can be regulated and adopted because if the government have cooperate with exchanges, implemented taxes and adopt is as a legal tender, that's really possible!

NFT is centralized that's why they can regulated and have full control over it, same with the other centralized shitcoins.

Let China ban Bitcoin, until many countries start accepting Bitcoin and the price is skyrocket, I wouldn't surprise if they will unban Bitcoin.

Wrong... The Chinese citizens can still do transactions outside of the "Centralized" exchanges, as long as there is no contact with Fiat. The moment when FIAT comes into the picture, it enters the controlled financial system.

The Chinese government knows this and that is why they banned "Bitcoin"..... they want 100% control and oversight of every aspect of the Chinese citizens. (We saw what happened lately with Chinese deposits in Banks)  Roll Eyes
2517  Economy / Economics / Re: Satellite data finds landfills are methane 'super emitters' on: August 18, 2022, 07:38:03 AM
"Cattle are the No. 1 agricultural source of greenhouse gases worldwide. Each year, a single cow will belch about 220 pounds of methane." Source : https://www.ucdavis.edu/food/news/making-cattle-more-sustainable

Livestock are responsible for 14.5 percent of global greenhouse gases. Source : https://clear.ucdavis.edu/explainers/using-global-emission-statistics-distracting-us-climate-change-solutions

So I think the over emphasis on Bitcoin's impact on climate chance, should be compared with other major polluters of this world, to get a more fair picture of this issue.  Roll Eyes
2518  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: August 18, 2022, 07:08:58 AM
We have a little (50+ people) group of friends that play at Stake, most of them was referred by me ...and we even have a local Stake WhatsApp group, where we share ideas / strategies / brag about wins etc... etc.

The latest topic of discussion on this group is about the "decline in Tips & Rain" over the last two years. When these people signed up, there were no "verification" and "wager requirements" to receive "rain" .....and they regularly received it. (even sharing it with others, if it was a big amount)

During the last 2 years or so... lots of them started to notice that there are a massive decline in "Rain & Tips" in the chat channels. The discussions highlighted several contributing factors :

1. Verification requirements - You now have to be LVL 2 verified to receive rain. This created a split, where people that are not verified, possibly decided not to rain anymore ...because they cannot receive rain. The people who are verified... are much less than what it was when there was no split.

2. Wager requirements - You now have to wager $3000 in 7 days to be eligible for rain. Many people do not wager $3000 per week, so they do not care about rain.

3. Rain limits - Now, do not quote me on this, but it seems as though minimum limits were introduced on the amount you can rain. I remember the days where I could rain $10cents to 10 people.... but when I try this now.. it says the amount is to low. (On Ethereum it was something like $8+.... the last time I tried)

4. Less people are winning - The aim of "Rain" is to share your joy, when you hit something big. Looking at the chat and the wins that are reported, it seems as though there are a lot less people winning lately. (not my opinion.. but a collective observation  of this group)

5. Increase in active players - When I started at Stake, we averaged between 2000 to 3000 people being online for most of the day... now we see days where it is between 10 000 to 19 000. (So your chances of receiving rain, has decreased dramatically)

Most of these guys are Level 2 verified and they wager way more than $3000 in 7 days... they are also active in the chat, but they are lucky to receive 3 to 5 rains in a week now. (previously it was 4 to 5 rains per person per day)

What are your experience with "Rain & Tips" lately?

So, just to be fair towards "Bitcoin" .....let's look at Banks!

2520  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Street Selfie? Why all these crazy requirements in the name of KYC verification? on: August 17, 2022, 07:29:14 AM
I like it when you have to include the service or site for which you are doing the verification, because you can then trace back the data breach, if and when your documents were used for Identity theft. (These people can edit the photo to remove it, but there are forensic evidence that it was edited to add in your defense)

I have done KYC/AML verification on several sites and a lot of these sites are struggling with "false" documents that were bought on the Darkweb. (Proof of address & False ID's)  Roll Eyes
