I would be really surprised if this rumor would turn out to be true. After all Liverpool already had to let Mane go to Bayern this summer and even though they have bought Darwin Nunez as basically the replacement for Mane this would still mean that they would be again one offensive player short if Firmino would leave the club. I also doubt that Liverpool is able or willing to invest another big amount of money to sign a replacement for Firmino then because they already had to pay 75 Million € for Nunez and this number could even go up to 100 Million if all bonuses have to be paid. So i doubt they could make another transfer of 50 M€ or more. Rumors of Firmino's transfer to Juventus have been circulating in recent days and I think Liverpool will also consider the offer. Liverpool have some good players this season but maybe they still need Firmino but I don't know what they think because there is a possibility about another new player if Firmino moves to Juventus. Every season both teams have stars (except last season) to compete to be the best and often the two are always compared. I remember about Zidane and Ronaldinho also about Ronaldo and Messi. They compete with each other for team titles, individual achievements and honestly we were lucky to witness their prowess. But now, Benzema and Lewandowski are the two mainstays of each team but Lewandowski is still new in Barcelona. But of course he is a very productive striker so far who can probably be expected to compete tightly as the top scorer. |
