2501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 22, 2022, 04:51:33 AM
~
That's actually a marketing strategy to keep the users to get more involved in all gambling activities that offers bonuses, but most of the time these bonuses are only favourable for the high rollers and those who place huge bets and play frequently. That's a win-win situation for the casino as they get to attract more traffic and huge wagers, regardless of the amount they offer for bonuses, the house always have the upper hand.
Now, if you don't have enough risk appetite to chase these bonuses, then it's not gonna be profitable for you.

If you have to wager the bonus money, say, 5 times, or 10 times, it is never guaranteed that you will lose most of it, or all the money. It is likely, yes, but not guaranteed. You can win 10 times, or 100 times of your bonus, in case you are lucky enough. Treat it like a free lottery ticket. Anything can happen.
2502  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: December 22, 2022, 04:24:26 AM
~ Yes, but for non-VIP players things are somewhat more difficult, you have to invest a lot of money playing every day in a casino, and if we just go to see the casino, try some games and that's it? Isn't it better to have a free balance, little but enough for us to try games and be satisfied? There are casinos that have their faucets and they have no problems withdrawing only with the faucet, the freebitcoin site many friends have withdrawn money from there without having to deposit but rather being very constant with their faucet and thus they have managed to withdraw money, because the others Casinso they don't do something like that, and freebitcoin has been around for a long time.

You would be probably right if it were so that only humans were using those faucets. Unfortunately faucets with real money are often abused by swarms of bots, and those malicious things are constantly evolving. As far as I know, Freebitcoin is fighting abusers on a daily basis, and it's not that easy to deal with this situation properly. I'd say, only a site with millions of real human users can afford keeping such a faucet.
2503  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: December 22, 2022, 03:52:54 AM
Somehow, I feel the same. Since betting for me is about getting positive emotions, what I'm trying to avoid is getting negative ones instead. One wrong pick in a multibet of six or seven(my usual multibets) is definitely frustrating, so, if I may, I congratulate you,  @jayce, on getting all of them wrong! Smiley
Lol thank you Betwrong, I appreciate it a lot! Not sure if I should be proud or embarassed on this achievement Cheesy Well I cant imagine how frustrating you are by losing 1 out of 6 picks in your multibet, even if the amount isn't big. I myself can't handle more than 3 picks in a single multibet.

Here's my latest example of  losing 1 out of 6 picks in a multibet:

But actually I feel like I used the wrong word when saying it's "frustrating".

Firstly, I didn't lose a lot, did I? It was the smallest bet possible, 0.01 mBTC. It's not that easy to be frustrated about losing 0.17 USD, even if you really want to. Smiley  Secondly, if you think of it, you should feel good about hitting close to the target. It gives you hope of hitting the target next time.
2504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real most rewarding Crypto Casino? on: December 22, 2022, 03:03:15 AM

I know, I'm not arguing with you either. Smiley What I wrote was intended at others who might read posts in this thread. I think it's very important to keep reminding people that they should never treat gambling as a way of making money. For me personally the most rewarding casino is where I take a break from my daily routine, and relax to such a degree that I can do my main job more effectively, making more money in a shorter period of time. That's what I'm trying to convey to people, gambling can help you with earning more money, but you should be earning money not through gambling, but through something 100% skill-based

By the way, I agree!
The player, especially those who have been gambling for a long time and already have experience, gets the main pleasure from the fact that the process of playing is a pleasure.  Psychologically, the process occurs cyclically.  First, the expectation of the result, a little excitement, then a little joy from winning, or a little disappointment from losing.  And then a short period of relaxation.  And then the next cycle.  It is this process of building up the psyche, in my opinion, that has a very positive effect on a person’s well-being.  Emotions caused by the game then continue for some time and subside.  After that, a person becomes calmer and, by the way, more confident in solving his everyday issues and problems.
So, to a fairly large extent, gambling has a positive effect in general on the entire process of human life.
And those who do not gamble actually lose quite a lot.

Nicely put!

Overall, gambling has been criticized for centuries for its negative effects on people's mental health, and we hear stories all the time about someone losing all their money to gambling and stuff like that, and although all that is true about some people, they are definitely the minority, and I think we need to talk about the majority too.

Not sure about other countries but looking on that perspective, the chance that whatever countries still facilitating this gambling might continue to bring this business.

The revenue which is written is a basis alone and not the actual amount. There are sides betting which
is no longer count plus the illegal places where this gambling can be performed.

With that number, involvement of some government officials is really anticipated, money
will move them since it's an easy side income for them.

I see. In that case Cock fight game will never be banned in countries with corrupt governments, no matter how much animal rights activists will be protesting. I'm no vegetarian myself, so I don't have the right to be that judgmental about the whole thing, but I would never bet on one animal to be killed by another. Even though I like to eat meat, I think it's over the edge.
2508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: December 21, 2022, 02:39:11 PM

I completely agree with you on your argument that there are some copycat sites, but such names either go hidden because nobody comes up with their complaints or simply ignores them just because he/she believes it was his fault to send his/her money over there and gamble.
However, I'm known of 1xBit here which has created lots of its own clone sites with different names starting with 1, so whenever I see any website popping up whose name begins with 1, I simply stay away and choose some other reputed names to play at.

You are doing the right thing. It reminds me of the mushroom pickers avoiding gilled mushrooms just to not accidentally pick up an Amanita phalloides, commonly known as the Death Cap. Indeed, if you have lots of those with spore tubes on the underside of the cap, like porcinis(reputable gambling sites in our case) around, why risk your life(money in our case)?

But that won't work if the reputable casino tries its best to solve those problems because the reputable casino knows that it is related to the reputation they have earned in this forum. But of course, there will be concerns for gamblers, especially those who keep their coins in the casino, because they don't know whether the casino will remain a well-known casino or turn into a casino that deceives gamblers. We must be wise in this matter and not underestimate the little things that might not happen because everything can change in an instant over time.

But what is the probability of that? Normally, a well known site doesn't turn into a casino that deceives gamblers. With that said, of course, don't keep on any site more money than you can afford to lose.

• also ensure there is a minimum deposit and withdrawal amount as most people wouldn't want to try a new casino with any reasonable amount but would prefer to start small.
~

This is very important. People should be allowed to try the site, especially if it's a newly appeared one, with a smallest amount possible. In my opinion it should be around $5-$10 max. Also they should have an opportunity to withdraw such a small amount to see how it's working on the site. Tip: Make it quick. Gamblers adore sites with instant withdrawals. Chances are, it will be the main reason they will stick with your site.
2510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 21, 2022, 07:53:09 AM
~ What I don't know is how exactly one could be careful with lots of cash on hand. If you are not a big shot with security guys around, you are just risking your life, that's all. That's why I think going to land-based casinos is not worth it. You either lose your money there, or, if you win big, you are risking to be robbed and hurt.

That's right bro, that's what money brings when you bring a lot to the casino as long as you don't make it obvious that you're carrying a lot of money so you don't think about it.

Then when you win a large amount at a casino house edge, before you leave the land-based casino it is good to call a close friend first and have them pick you up at the casino where you are so that you are safe this way, rather than the one where you go out right away and call your friend who is close to you.

A close friend can be not much of a help if we are dealing with local gangsters. We can imagine many scenarios of unwanted events following our big win in a land-based casino. To avoid all of them, it's better to play online, but, of course, on a reputable and reliable gambling platform. Some gamblers think that it's more likely to lose all your money online, and I understand them. If you are not careful enough, if you start playing and depositing on just any site without researching, you are indeed likely to lose your money.

2513  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Whose Crimea on: December 21, 2022, 06:55:49 AM
Apparently not all of them have disappeared. There's a partisan movement there in the occupied Crimea, and their work if very effective. Just recently the resistance organization ATESH(ATEШ)  took responsibility for for burning down a Russian military bases in Crimea [...]

Do you really evaluate the "effectiveness of the partisans" according to messages in Ukrainian media and anonymous telegram chats (where they always write only the truth and nothing else, lol)?
Is this some kind of sophisticated form of trolling, or are you serious about this?

I am serious. The fact that media and some unreliable(in your opinion. I personally trust the Aтeш telegram channel is genuine) telegram chats are saying the same, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Like you, I don't trust media much, and probably it wasn't a good move from my side to make it look like a message from the media can be some kind of an evidence, but I trust the info. There is an effective partisan movement in the occupied Crimea.
2514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners kill Bitcoin, and governments are happy, boycott the CEXs on: December 21, 2022, 06:28:06 AM
It feels sad to admit that I am largely guilty of this. Although I am not keeping funds in any CEX today, nor do I have any CEX account right now, I admit that I have used a number of them in the past. I have learned my lessons already. And while I also do not use centralized sites that offer loans, liquidity, annual ROI, etc, I can't seem to strongly convince friends not to use any of them.

But I am proud to say that I do not worship anybody in the crypto industry. I always admire those who came before us, before any altcoin was born, before the birth of a crypto industry, Satoshi and a few more, but not one right now. I know that these crypto businessmen today like Sam and CZ don't really value Bitcoin as much as the money they could get.

It doesn't matter what you were doing in the past. I think most of us here on this forum where using a CEX at one point or another, and, actually, it was a good thing for BTC during all those years. What matters is that you are not using it now, and you even try to convince your friends to follow your example.

Totally agree with OP. Let's boycott the CEXs from now on. They did a good job in the past, but it's time to move on. Let's not be the killers of what we love and value.

~ It might sound strange to some people, especially those thinking gambling is undoubtedly bad and even evil, but I do believe that a kind of a synergy between gamblers and gambling platforms is possible. For many people the money spent on gambling is much less than what they would spend on getting the same pleasure or the same amount of relaxation.
Well, each person is free to spend their money as they see fit, for me, in terms of having money and spending it in a casino, it is not bad as long as you have full control of the losses and the money you are willing to spend, because it is a way for fun, it is not bad when it is done responsibly, it is like people who like to spend money on gunpowder, according to some cultures they say that burning gunpowder brings good luck, for others they consider it as burning money, since they prefer to buy it in food or necessary things, or perhaps give it to the people who need it most, however for fun it will always be an expense, if you go on vacation to a place you will spend money, if you go to a casino then you will spend money, only with the caveat that you can recover or you can earn more.

Yes, I think one should treat their visit to a casino, land-based or online, as spending some money on their relaxation. You should never count on earning more. It can happen, sure, but you shouldn't count on it.

It might sound strange to some people, especially those thinking gambling is undoubtedly bad and even evil, but I do believe that a kind of a synergy between gamblers and gambling platforms is possible. For many people the money spent on gambling is much less than what they would spend on getting the same pleasure or the same amount of relaxation.
At least to me as long as  a person is fulfilling his obligations that he has with his family and himself then that person can spend their spare money in whatever they want, as long as they do not damage themselves or others.

So I do not see anything wrong with gambling just for fun, could I use that money for something which other people may consider to be a more constructive use of my money? Yes, but I am already investing a great deal of my monthly income anyway and I want to have some fun with the rest of my money, and gambling is one of the ways in which I do this.

Exactly. You can't work all the time, and you can't spend all your money on investing or on another business. To do your job more effectively you should be spending some of your money on unnecessary things like playing slots, going to movies and stuff. It's impossible to work all the time without spending money on your relaxation occasionally.
2516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: December 20, 2022, 10:42:38 PM
Maybe we can do it this way if we have more capital during the game, or are still in the same room. If we have left the room, we will return to basics, or the same as when we just started the game.
In general, 10 minutes at the start of the game we will win, so we can make a bet with a larger amount, or adjust it so that there are enough rounds.
If we have been playing for a few minutes, but there are no signs of winning, then we leave to get another room game, but if there has been no change, it is better to leave the game until a few hours later. These are the ways that I often do in continuous betting.
I've heard of this strategy from gamblers in slot games but unfortunately the technique is not guaranteed to work to determine high wins, anyone who plays in the new room without winning for 5 minutes will be replaced by another room, but it's better to try your luck on one room for the opportunity to get a high chance of winning.

I don't know how it used to be in the past, maybe like you said and that's why we have those legends running around till this day, but today all spins on slots are independent, and, of course, you can do whatever you like if it makes your gambling experience better, but your actions will not affect the outcome.
2517  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Crypto head and staff resigns on: December 20, 2022, 06:47:24 PM
We might be seeing much greater resignation in time soon because is like the matter is becoming worse everyday because it looks like Elon Must is not ready to negotiate with his workers to make sure that there problem is resolved and everybody going back to work. If the resignation continues Twitter would have to face the outcome of having insufficient workers to operate and make sure that everything is in proper place.

No. This will never happen. There are literally millions of people who want to work on Twitter. Maybe not all of them are properly qualified for the job, but, I'm sure, thousands of them are. Those who quit these days will be replaced, and there's a good chance that they will be replaced by better workers.

As for the Crypto head and staff in particular, imo they are easiest to replace.

LOL, this is in line with an experience of mine playing crash some months back, I just had about $50 I felt like throwing away, and decide play crash with it, game was manual and each bet was $5, even though I felt it wasnt possible since I've never seen the game go this high before, I felt crazy at the same time and set the auto cash out at 100x, after playing 5 times and loosing a total of $25, the 6th turn before moving, it got to 5x, I felt like cashing out but decided to leave it some more, it got to 10x, I began feeling anxious to cash out but still help myself back, it got to 16x and now, I become really scared that if I don't cash out now, I might loose every thing, I hurriedly cashed out at 16.8x, and the game continued until it crashed at 307.2x.
Initially when I cashed out at 16.8x, I was really happy, but after seeing how high it went before crashing, I became really upset and full or regret, hitting myself for not leaving the game hit my auto cash out set at 100x.

What can I say? Be glad you didn't lose everything. Smiley

Actually I think everyone can remember something like this about Crash. It is so frustrating when you cash out just before a long way up without crashing that I personally prefer playing Crash on Auto. I just set the target and wait until it's hit. At least you don't blame yourself on early cash out with that approach.
2519  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to play poker with crypto ? on: December 20, 2022, 05:59:55 PM
Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I played poker with crypto, back then I used betcoin.ag but they closed their poker rooms.
Does anyone know a trustworthy place to play poker with crypto ?

Thanks

Believe it or not, I wanted to open the same topic these days... I'm wondering what is the best place for crypto poker, the most popular one, with a lot of players, good tournaments, and people actually sitting on cash tables, not bots.

Just recently I opened Betnomi poker, and they have some nice tournaments, I even started one... but I didn't check their cash tables. There's a talk about the Betnomi poker series: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5279745.msg61433779#msg61433779... So I will probably play there for a while before I decide to check some "old names" I know. But I don't expect to see much on SwC, CoinPoker, Nitrogen, and some others... I guess those are dead places by now, or with some minimum traffic. I tried a few new casinos that offer poker, but without players at all.

Anyway, I would like to see some suggestions as well...

SwC Poker is okay, I'm playing there form time to time. There are not many players there for some reason, but the site is working perfectly, and there's always at least several people at cash tables ... I personally like the site. Also, several months ago I withdrew around $1k from the site without any delays.

Betnomi  is a great site for poker too. There are times when hundreds of people playing there at once. And they run lots of GTD tournaments and free rolls every day.
2520  Economy / Services / Re: POKER COURSES FOR SALE on: December 18, 2022, 09:26:18 PM
~

Actually it doesn't matter if he has a lot of money to take poker courses, but it looks funny to me, because I just found out that someone opened a training place to play poker, actually you just need technique in playing poker, at least learn someone's moves in owning cards bad or good cards, of course there are special movements to find out the opponent's cards, and back to the players how to bully opponents so they make sure our cards are in a good position.

If your opponent has a hand that he/she knows is good most of the time, they will never fold to your bluff, however skillful it was. And if you are doing this "bullying" too often, they can even call your bluff with a not very nice hand and win. Constant bluffing used to be the best strategy in the past, but not anymore. Now it's more like the opposite is what makes you win. It's when you have a great hand and make your opponents to believe you are bluffing.
