Would trying a 9 / 14 crossover or a 5 / 8 crossover from a 10 / 21 crossover result in more buy/sells.  If so what would the 0.25% buy/sell value change to if it does even change?

It's a smaller ratio so I predict smaller changes in price would trigger a buy/sell  Huh

No I think it uses all you BTC/USD

If this bot is profitable then an Android app of the bot would be cool better than leaving your PC on 24/7 and you could even sell it?
2505  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chrome Browser extension: MtGox trading bot on: March 07, 2012, 09:52:37 PM
i understand that but you dont want to explain specifically why it did what it just did in my situation, or you dont know?

I think its to do with the crossovers and the bot predicting a downward trend  Huh
2506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chrome Browser extension: MtGox trading bot on: March 07, 2012, 09:42:20 PM
ahh ok my bad, the bots not retarded - the strategy is, thanks...
yes, here I can agree.
this strategy has been retarded, as for the last N days or so...
but if you run it on a historical data, few months back, it would have actually been quite profitable.
whether you want to try it for the next few months, or not - it's completely up to you.
and I'm not even saying you should...
I created this tool only for people who had a demand for it. obviously you were not among them Smiley

can you explain more about the strategy? I am sure there is a reason why this bot waited and sold the coins when the price was low instead of when it was high, and then sold more when it dropped even lower. I am not trying to attack you or put you down I genuinely want to understand why it did why it did. I mean as retarded as it is it must have a reason for doing what its doing, you created this thing can you explain?

I think the strategy is from Goomboo's Journal linked in the first post.

Thanks for the bot I'm just playing with 1BTC on the default settings and will keep the bot running 24/7 until the 1BTC has been lost or I own all the bitcoins  Grin

It's a bot it works its self no  Huh
Yes. Like a car... until you drive it onto a tree. Smiley

I'm just playing with 1BTC with the default settings like other people might want to do maybe my experiences using it may be useful to them.
2510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chrome Browser extension: MtGox trading bot on: March 07, 2012, 09:21:14 PM
I'm not trolling and I want this to work I'm just making an observation  Lips sealed
It does work.
Just don't expect it to earn money for you - it's a tool that you are obviously not capable to use.
Would you give your car to someone who cannot drive? I wouldn't. So please just uninstall it and stop bothering me Smiley

It's a bot it works its self no  Huh
2511  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chrome Browser extension: MtGox trading bot on: March 07, 2012, 09:16:18 PM
Right I loaded 1BTC on the bot 24hrs ago it finally sold the 1BTC after two dark red boxes and now I have $4.83 but if it sold last night it could of got $5.015  I don't understand the bot maybe I'll have to read Goomboo's Journal  Huh
Well, all I can say is that you should have sold it last night, instead of using the bot Smiley

Well the bot sold the 1BTC at BTC lowest value in the last 25Hrs  Huh
Just uninstall it and stop trolling the topic.

Question:

So I set the threshold to the default 0.25.  I had like $45 and 0 BTC in my account.  So there were two ticks above the threshold, and now I have like 8.9 BTC and $0.  That was fully expected.

Now, there have been two more ticks above the threshold, but I have not sold any BTC -- it still shows ~8.9 BTC and $0.

The question is:  What condition(s) trigger selling?

Well I've been using it over twelve hours now with 1BTC and there hasn't been to dark green boxes with >0.25% that is what will trigger a sell I think then it will be aiming for the inverse of <-0.25% to buy I think?

Arh that worked now it says 0.09 what does that mean?
It's the same number as the top right column, in the table that appears after you click on the icon.
Just rounded to two decimal points.

Yeah just figured that next thing find out what top right column means  Huh

Is it the change in the change in price over the last hour  Huh

What percentage is needed for a trade 25%, 21% or 11%  Huh

I mean 0.25, 0.21 or 0.11  Huh

OK its the change of - EMA(10) / EMA(21) - but what value triggers a sale  Huh  ~Oh well I guess time will tell  Tongue

So over 0.25% with the default settings  Huh   Yes threshold 25%  Roll Eyes

Been using the Bot over an hour and on the bot it doesn't have a hourly price just NaN  Huh

Hour   Price   EMA(10) / EMA(21)
Balance = 1.00 BTC + 0.00 USD

 Huh
i don't believe you Smiley
maybe just restart the browser.
