2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallet Hacking through Telegram on: December 28, 2021, 07:35:49 AM
Thanks for this, a friend had his android phone cloned and locked him out today. He was able to later regain his phone use, but his crypto funds had been moved, I think he said he had received a call via telegram and that is all he could remember before the ugly incident. We need to be extra careful on files been downloaded.

Just by receiving a call on the telegram, his phone got cloned and he lost his access, that's hard to believe but if it is real, it's too much threatening. Cloning the phone means that his all data got transferred, all his passwords etc but i am sure he must have installed some malicious app as directed by the hacker on the call.
2502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' ... but ... on: December 27, 2021, 12:35:10 PM
If I could get a dollar for every comments, tweet and so one made my Donald trump that k didn't agree to I would have probably been a billionaire by now, Donald trump has never supported or agreed with crypto-currency or liked it in any way so I don't even take any of his comment concerning crypto-currency seriously, I believe he is learned and also has learned people surrounding him but it's clear he has made is a priority not to support crypto-currency or like it in any way.

To be completely honest, I do not think that Trump actually knows anything- like he reads and talks with his mouth rather than his mind. This lead to a series of contradicting claims in which his previous messages do not reflect his current actions. That is also the reason on why most Americans despise him as a President and as an individual also.

Again like you mentioned, I would not trust any of his statements given all the previous records he held. Even with his statement where he considered cryptocurrency as "dangerous", again, I doubt that he has an idea of what he is talking about.

People like Donald Trump or others who are in official positions roles, often say these statements for a purpose. Every one of them completely understands crypto and may also invest in it, but publicly they deny the importance of bitcoin and always say negative statements about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
2503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you really predict Bitcoin at this time on: December 27, 2021, 09:04:04 AM
I have listened and review to many market prediction, they are not correct.people are just saying there opinions at this time of the year about Bitcoin. Some will say it will come up another will say it not. So many discussion.
Who can decide the next phase of Bitcoin at this time.

No one can tell you where will bitcoin move from here or in the next few days. Trading and bitcoin Analysts are not meant to determine this as no one knows the future.
The best you can do is to know the support and resistance level and see how price behaves on the key level. When you got the confirmation at key levels, then you can take long or short entry in the market.

We found a golden newbie from the mistake of two persons. Grin

From now on theymos even going be be very cautious while clicking the next time in future more than before.

This also shows that even the most experienced and old people in bitcoin can do the mistake of sending bitcoin to the wrong address.
We often think that only newbies in bitcoin do this mistake but you can see that even the founder of bitcointalk can do that mistake too.

All is well that ends well.  Smiley
2506  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉Owl.games🦉Sportsbook & Crypto Casino For Web 3.0 - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: December 25, 2021, 10:04:32 AM
Weird! Don’t know actually why this moved here? First when I have created the ann thread they did not support bitcoin deposit but I have requested them to Add btc as soon as possible. Now they are supporting Instant Bitcoin Deposit. So as I know GAMBLING SITE only which does not accept BTC deposit should be in Service Announcement (Altscoins).

I will talk with the owl.game admin to make an appeal.

All the gambling sites ANN should be in the gambling section specially when they are accepting bitcoins.  It could have been a misunderstanding by the mods. The owlgames admin should himself move the thread to the gambling section and i think it will be fine this time.

2508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: December 24, 2021, 06:14:18 AM
If just introducing it is difficult and easy to leave, it's better to make newbies think that with bitcoin investment our money can increase hundreds of percent in a year or even less, I'm sure in a simple way like that newbies are more interested than technical things about bitcoin.

As per my experience, most newbies are interested in Bitcoin investment but when they know the price of bitcoin, they feel disappointed that they do not have this much money or they think that the Bitcoin price is way too high.
The first thing we should tell them that they can buy Bitcoin with 50$ or 100$ also. Secondly we should show them the historical data of Bitcoin which show that Bitcoin always increase in value.
2509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: December 23, 2021, 10:41:56 AM
Why do they say that? Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't, hardware wallet, a hardware like usb, that generates private keys without being online on the internet?

Why do I not like them? Because, in addition with a txt file that you can encrypt with many ways and save it in many places, if your hardware stops working, you're a dead man. And you're going to fix it somewhere? Not that recommended. If you're a paranoid of course.

Prove me wrong, by not telling me the cons of software wallet. Prove me wrong, by telling me the pros of hardware wallet.

There are two things to be taken care of in case you have a hardware wallet.

1. To hardware wallet itself
2. The private key associated with that hardware wallet

Now if the hardware wallet is lost, you can buy a new hardware wallet and restore ur coins with private key. If the private key is lost or compromised, then all your funds are gone.
2510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: December 23, 2021, 10:19:06 AM
El Salvador have continued to take the lead in cryptocurrency adoption, first the country announced bitcoin as a legal tender some months ago and the latest is the official opening of a bitcoin city which will serve as a free trade zone that will house top exchanges and bitcoin mining farms. The president announced this project which is backed with a 1 billion dollars worth of bitcoin as a bond.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/el-salvador-to-inaugurate-bitcoin-city-backed-by-1b-bitcoin-bonds

I told before also that El Salvador vision is big and the world super powers like united states' or china will be left behind if they also do not adopt bitcoin.
Since the El Salvador government are gathering and buying bitcoins, they will never face inflation and thier economy will prosper.
2511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: December 23, 2021, 09:57:01 AM
Actually, is there any significant reason and influence with the difference of the gender?
I personally don't mind about whoever they are behind them, both men and also women have similar chances to be in this crypto world. Crypto world is not only for men.
And we actually don't know exactly how many women are included in crypto world so far, how many women are here in this Bitcointalk forum, and others. Because crypto is sometime anonymously or more privacy about gender and other information.
We need not only women but all people,  who concern with crypto and blockchain technology, who love crypto world, and also other terms in accordance with crypto, moreover big companies and also public figures

Not only crypto but even the biggest holders of fiat currencies are men and the most rishest people are male dominant.
There may be some women who might be holding big lot of cryptos but due to the decentralized nature of the cryptocurrency it's hard to get the numbers of male or wormen owing whales wallets.
2512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador celebrate 21st of December 21 with 21 Bitcoin on: December 23, 2021, 09:29:59 AM
As buying Bitcoin have become a wayy the El Salvador government celebrate different days, the latest was the buying of 21 Bitcoin at the price of $49,000 which dollars equivalent is $1,036,000 just to celebrate the last 21st day of the year 21.
This have brought the country total Bitcoin holding to 21,041 Bitcoins this moves have set El Salvador an hedge over other counterparts.

People don't realize this but El Salvador will soon become the rishest country of the world. Think in a way that they are holding over 20,000 bitcoins and if each bitcoin reaches over 100k, thier county reserve will be doubled.

2514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin resistance and support price on: December 23, 2021, 08:48:26 AM
We're back to 2 day average right now, just short term averages.   What matters is we remain within the overall range of the last couple weeks, top end of that range but still contained.   Its fairly important to continue positively that we do hold basic momentum like the weekly and 2 day averages, so far Im not sure if we can break the range upwards over holidays or not

Are you talking about two days simple moving average or exponential moving average ?
I belief  that despite the choppy action of Bitcoin price at the moment, it will breakout upwards anytime soon.
2515  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: December 23, 2021, 08:20:46 AM
Will you be satisfied if 2021  ends with an ATH of $70k for Bitcoin. Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment

Even if Bitcoin is unable to cross 70,000$ this year, there is nothing to regret. As things are turning up, I can easily see bitcoins crossing  hundred thousand dollar in early 2022.
I am hopeful for 2022, as I see this will bring the true bull run.
2516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise or fall. on: December 23, 2021, 08:07:12 AM
Hello beautiful people,

What you think bitcoin will rise or fall.

This is a very tricky question and i don't think anyone has the perfect answer for this. For Bitcoin to rise, it has to cross the 52-53k resistance level and in order to fall it will have to move below 40k. In which direction market will move, only time will tell us.
2517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest issue with Bitcoin wallets? on: December 19, 2021, 03:42:49 PM

4. What changes would you like to see with the wallet(s) that you're using?

If wallets addresses can be linked with proper names, that will be beneficial. I mean if every address has an alphabetical name attached, so it will be easy to give our addresses to others if we want to receive money, and also it will reduce the risk of sending the coins to the wrong address.
2518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc hodlers vs short time traders on: December 19, 2021, 02:46:52 PM
Sorry but hodlers who buy with dca method are the winners in this game.
Dollar cost average is by far one of the best methods many dont like it as they dont have patience.
We the people want to see results always too fast if not we not interested only few the handful can really do the buy the dips combined mixed with dca style buying.

Holding and DCA is only applicable in spot trading but what about those people who are doing future's trading ?

You can do dollar cost averaging if you are doing trading in the Spot market. Most of the people are doing trading in future's market and it is not advisable to dollar cost average in that market.
2519  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thoughts on the Metaverse craze ( for concerts ) on: December 19, 2021, 02:02:49 PM
One thing about the Metaverse: I think it will work for some things... not for others. Example: I checked out the Ariana Grande thing on Fortnite... WTF was that ?!?! The whole thing just felt like a video game or some kind of a barbie adventure quest. Is that what people want ?!? Personally, I'm a guy and also happen to be a musician so I want to see Ariana ( the real Ariana, not some 3d Barbie doll ) sing, look sexy in her cute costumes, flirt with the public, interact with the other musicians, dance , talk to the public in japanese , etc. The nice graphics and all that ? Maybe for a music video ( even then, I prefer the real Arianna as we can't make CGI sexy yet ). True that we can't put 2 million people in a concert hall , but we certainly can stream the video concert on PPV ! ( or sell the DVDs ). So I'm not sold in the whole Metaverse thing for concerts, I don't think it works for boybands or boy singers either... most teenage girls want to feel close to their idols, occasionally jump onstage to hug them, and sometimes even get a free backstage pass to hang with them.

Meta verse is a new concept and it is not yet implemented in its full capacity. You can watch and join the virtual concerts while staying at home. It is hard to imagine how it will be felt but we are moving towards the 3D world. The world will completely change once we enter into the met verse era.
2520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear is not Real. on: December 19, 2021, 01:49:46 PM

First thing to learn in BTCitcoin is Hodl it - Fear is not Real

But the actual facts are that fear is real. You can see everyone talking about 30,000$ bitcoin or even less. Everyone talking about the bear market starting soon. And when you see the marketcap of overall crypto going down, shows people have fear and they are exiting crypto.
Only the ones who are the real believer of the technology will hold in these tough times.
