2501  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: July 21, 2015, 04:25:17 AM
nah. There are times where taking out a loan isn't stupid.

I mean if you are young and can earn the money back in a few years, why not take the risk for a chance of complete financial freedom? The downside is limited, but the upside is almost limitless.

I mean what can you do with a few ten thousand dollars? Buy a car? Go on a vacation or two? That's about it. Nothing life changing. I'd totally be willing to sacrifice a few vacations and a new car for a good chance at becoming rich.

And when, in a few years, things haven't gone so well, just take out another loan to pay back the interest on your original one. Cool
2502  Economy / Speculation / Re: GOLD to 200-400 (prediction) on: July 20, 2015, 08:43:01 PM
Welcome to GOLD (XAUUSD) forecast topic Wink
I will follow and update this forecast in course of time.

Current price 1163

Target 200-400

Forecast
Mid term: -----no-----

Long term: Short at 1163, STOP 1345, Target 200-400

So essentially below the cost of production for all miners. Damn, you'd think after half of all miners went bust, that it might be a sufficient squeeze on supply, but no, every single one must die - the gods have spoken! Tongue

2503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 15, 2015, 04:28:47 AM
Guns, ey. I'd think I'd want to fraternise with the guys with tanks myself.
2504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 14, 2015, 12:38:00 AM
The setup didn't pan out as I had hoped but I'm still holding the position. I think LTC will probably follow BTC during the upcoming bull market (as it did in 2013) so it will pay to have strategic positions in each. One should be cautious playing with LTC as it's a smaller market and therefore more volatile and prone to slippage.

The recent rally in BTC is fundamentally different than those that came before it in that it jumped the resistance between $260-80 very decisively and quickly on strong volume, with a large jump in price in a very short time (compare the length of the big 3d green candle to previous ones).

After a long, excruciating trading range where price has held resilience and various informed interests have taken position, this is a huge sign of strength and an indication that the market is ready to move up and begin to correct and recapture some of the lost gains from the year long bear market.

Well, you might still be right about LTC, though I'm on the sidelines there until I can see something I can hook into. Can't really get a feel which way it's going right now.

Regarding BTC, I'm bullish.
2505  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: July 13, 2015, 05:02:58 PM
But you know it doesn't work that way. The cock is pumped by the hand of greed, the elbow of fear, and the shoulder of time.

Great analogy, though may I suggest my ribald improvement?  Tongue
2506  Economy / Speculation / Re: Factual Speculation: Owning 1 whole BTC will be completely unheard of by 2020.. on: July 13, 2015, 06:00:35 AM
Only 20 million will exist.

12 million exist now.

I think you need to improve your googling.
2507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Factual Speculation: Owning 1 whole BTC will be completely unheard of by 2020.. on: July 13, 2015, 04:46:43 AM
Guess that means Satoshi will be unloading like a mofo?
2508  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 13, 2015, 04:06:50 AM
I'm currently trading this. My guess is up. It's a classic ascending triangle trend continuation, where buyers aggressively outbid each other to get their limit bids filled. This results in rising bottoms. Eventually it breaks up when there's no lower prices to be had and the resulting market orders push up the price through resistance.

Or not  Wink

No, it doesn’t. But I evolved sympatacy for a couple of permabulls here. So that soothes my pain a bit  Wink

Is that a pokemon?

Point still remains that this retrace stopped right around the aforementioned level so I imagine some sort of support must be forming again. One of the dudes that called this last ltc rally is back in 100% right now. I'm not that bold but I did add some to my plate.

I'm in. The forthcoming bounce is just so obvious.
2514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 10, 2015, 04:27:20 PM
The jump from $300 to $600, and then $900 happened very fast in November of 2013. I would expect the moves to happen even faster this time because there are a lot more traders, more solid exchanges, and a lot more money in play.
Those conditions speak for slower moves, not faster ones.

Yes, it's no accident that the fastest and relatively largest movements occur in the small-cap cryptos.
2515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2015, 02:15:28 AM
Yes, btc is boring. I wonder if it is already too late to get on LTC train?

BTW, the DOGED coin looks promising too...

The Litecoin bubble has been pretty fun. Might still double, but frankly it's in danger territory. The China volume needs to keep growing to sustain momentum, and it's already higher than ever (the optics of China notwithstanding). Next move for me, buy the flashcrash and sell the bounce.
2516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 09, 2015, 11:28:24 PM
As for China and things being fresh, it seems we are forgetting that they still own 80% of the Bitcoin scene, and control the bigger alt-coin exchanges. With recent volatility in the Chinese stock market, they could easily push the price over a grand in a day or two

Shit, did you just see that whippet? It was travelling 3,500 MPH, just broke free of Earth's gravity, and exploded in the ionosphere.  Roll Eyes
2517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 06, 2015, 07:49:17 PM
Buying every week 0.01btc is not considered buying. Nobody cares about such low amounts of money. Even my housecleaner earns more in tips than you have spent in 6 months on bitcoin.
Poor bastard.

lol, this guy. He would have fitted in great as a character in a Dickensian novel.

"No sir, please not the cane again!"

"Silence boy, this shall be for your own good. One strike for every guinea your miserable parents ought to have made!"

Granted, I am now understanding that remaining a Christian isn't always the wisest thing during a very extended Satan market.  Undecided

Yes, yes, come to me, my child. Let my claws pierce your soul and feed on your sap. God's rapture of St. Teresa was nothing!
2519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 06, 2015, 06:45:35 PM
Something really important in trading is knowing when to get out again.
That would be right about fucking now. Wink

Yup, take your profits while you still can.

Oxi.
