2505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Revert on: May 29, 2013, 05:26:50 AM
actually some coins are trying to turn this around by trying to have solid ways to spend them. if you look at sexcoin, if properly implemented, it could easily be the medium for adult content, most sites complain that thier users only want the free stuff, so if sites start accepting it instead, and it gets listed, they stand to gain a lot. Phenix is for Gambling, UScoin is opting as high volume medium, we'll see when the difficulty retargets.

well, fees for payment services for adult sites tend to be a LOT higher than they are for most other types of business. Some kind of high risk thing or something. So I can see how they might benefit from something like sexcoin, but I could also see how they might benefit from something like bitcoin too, and it is already well established(sorta kinda?).

Sad plus sexcoin(because of the name) could limit its portability to other markets. I think porn people are looking to do more with their money than just buy porn.

true bitcoin is established, but by following that rule, i could say paper money is established. the sexcoin name can be changed anytime, its like porn, it was porn until someone marketed it as "adult content". Branding is a small issue, the question is, is the creator of sexcoin willing to pay the right people to make the right people pay attention?
2506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 29, 2013, 05:22:58 AM
since noone is trying to, i'll change it. I am increasing block reward to
int64 nSubsidy = ((25 + (diff / 24)) * COIN) / (1 + (nHeight / 194400)); // 25 ELC per block

from

int64 nSubsidy = ((1 + (diff / 24)) * COIN) / (1 + (nHeight / 194400));

and retarget to

static const int64 nTargetTimespan = 1 * 1 * 60 * 60; // Elacoin: 1 hour
static const int64 nTargetSpacing = 2 * 60; // Elacoin: 2 minutes
static const int64 nInterval = nTargetTimespan / nTargetSpacing;

from

static const int64 nTargetTimespan = 3 * 24 * 60 * 60; // Elacoin: 3 days
static const int64 nTargetSpacing = 2 * 60; // Elacoin: 2.5 minutes
static const int64 nInterval = nTargetTimespan / nTargetSpacing;

any ideas of anything else i should change? Any objections?
i've been studying the code and i think i've got the idea

if i get 10 votes up i will do this, the overall net hash rate is 3.5mh/s and if we don't do this quick, this coin will die. Votes please

edit, ten votes coz i can only see 4 people mining @ the pool.

I think i'll go help out with UScoin, since it hasnt been listed on cryptsy, i can help with the difficulty retarget and rake in a few thousand, though people may accuse me of 51% ing it. I like it, it's like Phenix with less premine.
2509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Revert on: May 29, 2013, 04:06:06 AM
I forsee miners reverting to the prvious crop of alts today seeing as it's now a coin per hour. Reason being, those coins have ok difficulties from 2(USCOIN) to 7(WDC) and 4 (GLD) 4 (ELC) i think, and because it's not orphan city there unlike these new craps.
2510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] USCoin - Here's the change! [USC] on: May 29, 2013, 03:28:05 AM
thank you, sorry if it's slow, but between work, mining and finals at school, i get overwhelmed. i would however suggest you stay in on the jig, soon my server will be up running a pool and other services, and the hash rate will rise since it's the head node for my pc's.
2511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Fastcoin - FST - The Fastest coin so far in the market - is launched!! on: May 29, 2013, 03:14:11 AM
miniforking all the time due to low block target. getting fully confirmed blocks that still get orphaned. lulz

i didnt think u'd actually mine this, go mine USCoin
2512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] USCoin - Here's the change! [USC] on: May 29, 2013, 03:10:02 AM
That may be true, but I dont know who launched those. But I am paying programmers to achieve the goals we are after this is not a release and pray it gets done. If we have a goal that is not achieved in a timely manner, I will simply fund it via btc/ltc to get the coin going out of my own pocket. Even have a couple things that are unknown to crypto as of yet that I will be helping get implemented in the coming weeks. If you want to dump the coin, go ahead some of the devs on the team will probably buy the coins at your discounted prices. Cheesy

haahaha, yes please, it would be nice if the pumpers and dumpers dump now so we have the serious community only. This coin is gonna be big.
2513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] USCoin - Here's the change! [USC] on: May 29, 2013, 03:08:18 AM
The mining is continuing and blocks are being found, I see no issues with it as it is currently.

Lol okay. If you say so. I went though this with GMC just very recently with the same hash rate... The difficulty was lower too.
we are not here to pump and dump. Please consider this, people have complained about everything, yet continue to mine. The coin has remained steady and were are working on developing it. By the way, please research what really happened to GMC, it had low difficulty, and large farms pointed at it, ergo fail. We have a hashrate that balances with our difficulty making for a steady outcome. If serious coin is what you want, stick around, you'll be surprised.

ok guys, it's time to get moving. Thank you for some of the suggestions, even the ones that aren't feasible at this scale as of now. I've updated the docs exchange and will continue to do so on an hourly basis.

24/7?

i'll do my best, i am trying to get some services running for this coin so i get exhausted by day's end, making a pool from scratch is no easy thing.
2515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other recommended Cryptocurrencies? on: May 29, 2013, 02:58:09 AM
Phenix coin is a good start, but you are already late unless you have crazy hardware, if you are average, join the UScoin community, the coin in fairly new and it seems to be progressing steadily.

i run a small farm based on 7850s, in cgminer don't specify the shader, or thread concurrency, just put two threads, then 1080 gpu engine and memory 1400. try and let me know the results. in fact here's my current .conf its been running almost a week no crash or shutdown required.

Code:
"intensity" : "12",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"kernel" : "scrypt",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
