2522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where does your country stand ? on: April 27, 2022, 05:45:10 PM
Brazil is not in the list either
but not a big surprise since most forms of gambling are forbidden here, we have no legal casinos

only government lottery and a popular street game that is called "jogo do bicho" where you bet in animals and numbers and works a bit like a lottery too but it's not legal (though not so hard to find on city centers...)

2525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: April 27, 2022, 05:09:25 PM
maybe not all of them will adopt, the key will be understanding if this will be a broad technology adopted by all, like let's say, smartphones. Or if it'll be more niche.
if it's broad it'll be a bit like: adopt or die/get left behind

can you imagine a casino not using the internet today, even if just for internal organization if they're not web-based?
Not all of them will adopt. It was like a centralized exchange and decentralized exchange. Crypto is more than 10 years now and we have more cex but dex still remains and there are still people that uses it because there are features that can only be found on one it but not on the other.

Web 3 are more convenient because it was like a plug and play. No need for sign ups or deposits but you only need to connect your wallet to the gambling site and experience anonymous betting but like a dex, I think there was also a similar problem that can be experienced in a web 3 type of gambling. This is why many are going to stick on the cex type gambling.

oh, yes, cex x dex will remain and people will have their preferences
my point on wide adoption of technology with internet. smartphones and in the future VR/AR, electric cars and much more is a bit different than the cex x dex point

but I get what you mean too.
2526  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: 4 anos, 14 mil moedas e mesma dominância on: April 27, 2022, 04:59:08 PM

veremos meu caro joker, veremos...

Here’s Why the Ethereum ‘Flippening’ Is Inevitable, According to Macro Guru Raoul Pal

2527  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: País Africano adota bitcoin como moeda oficial on: April 26, 2022, 09:59:04 PM

2528  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: 4 anos, 14 mil moedas e mesma dominância on: April 26, 2022, 09:48:26 PM

Dito e feito senhoras e senhores.

bonus can be a good incentive but sometimes it's tricky too, because the website can be a scam or even have malware, etc...
best way is to search for reviews and DYOR before choosing a new casino
it's definitely easier to pick up the more established ones

Bonus like free spins or bets is a must for every new casino, this is to invite people to try their new casinos they have initial funding for this let's be realistic we all want free bets and spins and new casinos are ready to give this to players to recruit new players, new casinos will hard time to compete with already established casinos but they always have a chance if they do things right and consistently.

yes, these are nice brain tricks
hook them up with small wins so they get the dopamine hit and (like in a sales funnel) some will stay, bet and spend.

pay back part of the income as big prizes and the work is done.

obviously easier said than done.

the internet is like energy on a medium bro, there is a law of force (movement, viewer, light maker, visual update, easy to operate and light on storage because it is supported by the cloud) it's not impossible, but what you say is true friend, it would be very sad if we were still trapped a few years ago under 2000. even we just work from home for hobbies and any needs we rely on the internet, technology and the internet are a complete unit and this is the future

isn't it crazy the degree of information velocity and connectivity we are getting to?
it always blows my mind when I think about it
and to think that change is in reality accelerating, not getting slower

the next years will be really interesting to live through
2535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Still Supporting And Playing On Newly Launch Casinos on: April 25, 2022, 11:34:13 AM
Almost every week there are one or two new casinos launching here, this section is already a big number of casinos there are good and bad new casinos here, these new casinos know that for them to stay in the game and be competitive they have offer new things and bonuses and giveaways.

Are you still supporting new casinos even if you're already playing in so many casinos do you still have room for new casino to deposit and play?

There are certain perks of playing in new casinos, aside from being a pioneering player and first adopters, you are also given some bonuses. Especially when the new casino sites gives you better experiences than existing ones, it makes you to stick on playing and forget others. More innovative casinos are the likes, and also new game ideas that are put into action. Only the problem is it isn't refutable yet, it is still making it's name and image, so there are risk too.

Correct me if I am wrong but as of now the latest we have in the gambling industry is the implementation of the web 3.0 right? or there are other technology that I am not aware with? I am excited of what would be in the future of gambling, I am sure that it would be in Meta but we are still unsure what would be the result of the Meta projects.
Lately, there are some casinos that are into it but I doubt it that each casino will be adopting web 3.0. It's just the same with the concept of NFTs and Metaverses.
Not all of the casinos changed that much and went into the transition of those popular trends lately. That's why even if there's a web 3.0 trend right now, most of them will remain just as they are.

good point

2537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: April 25, 2022, 11:12:15 AM
But does anyone forbid them to play chess? The bottom line is that the disagreements with these people (who support the war) have reached such proportions that those who do not support the war simply do not want to play with them. Isn't this a basic human right - freedom of association? There is a community of people who love chess and don't like war. They don't want to play chess with those who support the war. Nobody forbids war lovers to play chess - they can do it with anyone (who agrees to it).

well, the chess federation forbids them
my point is exactly the idea that in a game like chess someone's values doesn't matter that much
their skills matter.

It is not true. The chess federation doesn't want to play with them. And these supporters of the war themselves can play with anyone and even establish their own chess federation. You confuse situations when someone's rights are violated with the actual case when the Chess Federation tries to defend its right. I do not want to play chess with someone - this is my right, and I do not violate the rights of this someone in any way. This is the principle at work here.

cancellation culture at its finest.

Russian players were banned from Wimbledon fairly recently though F1 racing has not specifically done so just the teams.  Now I check it makes no difference as Russian racing license is refused as valid in some countries hosting races so its hard to compete globally.
I think the general take is the players should revoke that flag and qualify under a neutral flag or country if need be.  That presumes they are able to do so but its hard to disagree with the actions taken when people are dying needlessly, some people are so ignorant of death and suffering of others they may only notice when their favorite sport is disrupted slightly.

interesting take! this brings us on a "sovereign individual" situation where people have incentives to be a citizen on some countries or even to stop being a citizen of other countries
quite interesting to think about it

Your point is valid - but the powerful will keep surpassing the weak and this is going everywhere.
I would suggest - Russia to take a neutral stance on it and discuss things with dialogue rather then deadlock. But war not a solution.

was is always the worst possible outcome.

~

That is exactly right! Politicians doing PR for Bitcoin is pure gold! Politicians also are just "influencers" who have a bigger fanbase aka the whole country's population Smiley

Just watch, There is a chance that Mexico makes Bitcoin legal tender in the near future, and as that happens I think it might create a pump up to 20-43x for the Bitcoin price.
I get my numbers from the population and GDP relativity. But my math does show me a definite pump over the possibly upcoming Mexico news.

Remember the impact on current price that the El Salvador news had about making Bitcoin legal tender?

yes! didn't know about the Mexico news so went to search
Mexican Senator Proposes Bill to Make Bitcoin Become Legal Tender in Her Country

sounds big if approved and this just confirms that we are now on a domino cascade, El Salvador just dropped the first piece, trend will keep going.

it'll be interesting to watch, for sure.

I imagine NFTS will be just a sector of the metaverse. Of course the technology will be used for digital property, trading, art, items, etc… but as we mentioned before the basis of what the metaverse will be is not built yet

We’ll have to create it and it may take years
