but this thing with the Bots just validates my decision>  Grin

/facepalm

It looks like all the work and effort we put in to stop the bots playing the lottery was wasted.

Judging by the fact that you are so lucky, perhaps your intuition - the best strategy!

If you chase single numbers a lot you'll find they hit first time quite often as well.... about once every 37 tries.  Wink

Not critical but it would be nice if the Report to moderator page, came up in a separate tab. The same way the Merit page does.

Middle click or right click and Open link in new tab.

I have never won anything in the Lottery, so I might just give up and just use that money on

another site or to buy something that are guaranteed.  Roll Eyes

Well, I will stop buying tickets with the interest I earn from my deposits, until you guys have figured out how to stop these

bots that are abusing the Lottery now. The odds of winning a prize is already very high and now we have bots that figured out

how to win 8 and now 6 of the winners spots.  Roll Eyes  Please let us know when you guys have an solution for this.  Sad

Errrrr, did you miss my earlier reply?

I think, I am going to stop using my

interest to buy Lottery tickets until Wetsuit figured out how to stop these bots from "cheating" in the Lottery. Well, cheating

might be a little harsh, but you get what I am saying.

I can't get hold of wetsuit so far today but looking at the number ticket so far this week the bots are nowhere to be seen. I'm looking forward to dealing with all the complaints that the prize is small next weekend.

It looks to me like we have dealt with them for now. I'm still waiting to hear from wetsuit but it looks like the things I was discussing with him at the end of last week must have been implemented.

Yeah I have read the hint. Was confused because it says deposit more than 0.0028.... for all bonuses  and I deposited over 0.004.

It's calculated from your balance rather than the amount deposited. The requirement should have been showing you how much you needed to increase your balance by.

What requirement does it show now?

So when it will be possible to use them?

There shouldn't be any delay beyond a few minutes.

one question to the account bonus requirements: Recently I deposited about 0.004 btc. Therefore I have to be eligible to use all RP bonuses or am I missing something?

Click where it says "REQUIREMENTS TO UNLOCK BONUSES". If you can't see that then they are already unlocked.

Haven't found any details here in this forum or does this have to do with the bots in the lottery?

Indirectly. It was something that botnets were exploiting heavily, so that's why we were forced to put the restrictions in place.

On cex.io the withdrawal fees for GBP are at 1% (https://cex.io/fee-schedule#/tab/payments) which is fine, i'd say. Thats 1,14 £.

That's for buying not selling. https://cex.io/limits-commissions#/direction/withdrawal/currency/GBP
Bank transfer is 1% with minimum fee £50 and minimum transfer £1,000

Although the Visa and Mastercard options might be worthwhile looking into.

There are definitely exchanges with a lower fee (e.g. kraken with just a few cents in €) but for occasional purchases this is quite ok.

Not sure but.... https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000411106

Note that SWIFT (SMBC) withdrawals were disabled at 12:00 PM (JST) on March 27, 2018.

IMO using an exchange is safer (and sometimes also cheaper) than using localbitcoins.

I've been using LocalBitcoin since 2013 and never had an issue. I've always been looking for other alternatives but the fees have always made it not worthwhile.

Edit:
Quick comparison. £100 buys 0.0182 @ CEX.IO with Mastercard or Visa and 0.0192 at LocalBitcoin with Faster Payment.

Yes, I changed the IP address

PM me your user ID and the IP addresses and I'll ask the admin to have a look to see what you did to get banned.

And how can I unblock my account?

It depends on what the ban is. Have you tried playing from another IP address to establish if it is the address that is banned or the account?
2531  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 0.2290982 btc on: August 20, 2018, 10:35:03 AM
I was using hit btc and they don’t allow withdrawal to a bank account - I had to send back to Coinbase and then transfer to my bank account however Coinbase require a fee to setup the bank account..that’s the only reason lol
Try kraken.com ? I've used them for euro SEPA transactions, and only paid 0.09 EUR fee per transaction. I can't check if they offer GBP withdrawals though, as my internet provider seems to have routing problems at the moment.

According to https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000382363-Fiat-currencies-available-on-Kraken, Kraken only offers 4 fiats currencies to withdraw to (EUR, USD, JPY and CAD).

But what about cex.io ? They offer GBP withdrawals and are probably more reliable than a random person without a trust rating here.

All the exchanges that do have GBP go via a European bank and you get hit for international wire fees and withdrawal fees that make it not worthwhile for £114. LocalBitcoins is the best option when dealing in small amounts as you can use a free Faster Payments transfer. If the OP doesn't want to use that then there is a fair chance it is to avoid the escrow  Roll Eyes
CoinBase is introducing GBP via Faster Payments but it has only been enabled on a few accounts so far.

I've come to the conclusion that you need to take a two year view of the market. Which really means that you have to decide if Bitcoin has a long term future.

That is the difference between investing and trading. If you are an investor then just buy the dips to get a better average entry price. Trading is about timing and short-term fluctuations. Work out what the algorithms are doing and jump on their coattails.
2534  Economy / Reputation / Re: Tag this account seller on: August 20, 2018, 09:17:31 AM
Has given 3 merit 2 times, to 2 profiles ( 1.5 merit/profile)
Has received 17 merit 12 times, from 11 profiles
Has at least 5 sMerit available

~

Are numbers correct? 26 smerits left? Hm, how much smerits senior member received? I am lazy to search.

We don't know because the distribution was based on activity in the 12 months prior to 24th Jan. The 'at least 5' number is the sMerit received from (half of 17) minus the 3 spent. I was a Sr. Member and received 22 in the distribution but I didn't max out my activity in the year before.

Sadly, since the bots that the players actually took away most of the income. I worked hard but now I am almost unable to make a profit on freebitco because the policy of buying lottery tickets or playing gambling can change my bonus.

We're a gambling site, not a labour exchange.
2536  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 20, 2018, 08:33:39 AM
So, you already know that they are all bots, just don't pick their tickets as a winner.

It is a fair lottery because the Bitcoin network picks the winners not us.

We already knew there were bots there, but finding them in a user database of 15.6 million accounts isn't easy. By winning the lottery they make themselves very easy to find.  Wink

And again, some winners with 15x id with ~20k tickets.
Do something, we don't want to lose freebitco, it seems someone is cheating on you.

You and you fbtcvip10 g's just relax, you right 100%

TheQuin, now we know exactly what we are talking about.

Interesting Result of 167th Round Lottery : 8 are from one series starting from 15xxxxxxx

This new lottery is not much better then last one Sad similar scenario

Actually, 6 rather than 8 is a lot better. Some changes we made meant over 100,000 fewer bots plying this week. We've made some more changes and so far the number of tickets is about half what it was at this point last week.

P.S. did wetsuit play this one, I'm sure it began with UID 5 on the sheet and that seems quite low for it to be another user.

wetsuit's UID is 4. Check the ref link in his signature!

Does he not have 3, 2 & 1 (so he could technically have 5, I guessed it was a genuine user though).

1 would be root and 2 and 3 admin and/or testing. 5 was the first customer to sign up (I'm 178).

I made a scatter graph of the tickets but it doesn't give so much.

I'm not sure how to get the best out of it but UIDs close together with similar numbers of tickets (looks around 25k) is what to look for.
2540  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 19, 2018, 05:40:25 PM
the same bot has already taken 6 places

Not as bad as the 8 they had last week. Also ties in with my 50 - 65% of the tickets estimate.
