In my opinion, Manchester United's defense and midfield should be strengthened. I think Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford are enough for their forwards. Manchester United concede 44 goals this season. 12 more goals than Manchester City. So man United should strengthen their defense for the next season.

Honestly IMO Rashford is having a really tough time right now. He is a very good player but yeah he is struggling a lot. They need a new forward. Cavani is gonna work for short term but he is aging and he is gonna leave in 1-2 year but they need to find a long term solution. Their forward Martial has also struggled this season, Greenwood however have been doing good but things wouldn't be going on for long. Your attack needs to be productive and right now from point I see an old experienced and someone from midfield is scoring. What about the attack unit who are responsible to score?

I don't think there is another competitive league like the EPL. If Manchester United had not lost so many points at the end of the season, Manchester City would not have won the league title so easily. Moreover, Liverpool finished the season in third place. I didn't think they would be in the top 5. They have not lost in any of the last 10 matches.

PL is the best quality league. I don't think there are teams as surprising as there are in EPL. Leeds, West Ham, Sheff Utd. (last season), Leicester and so on and on.. Every teams has capability of surprising big teams unlike in LaLiga , or any other leagues. I think in every round we have atleast 1 or two surprises atleast in PL.

Btw anyone watched Championship Play-off final? We have Brentford as a winner and they are the last one from Championship to get promoted into PL. I am looking forward to their match and how their star Ivan Toney starts.

Archaf Hakimi who had a great season with Inter Milan is having interest from PSG. And it seems like the deal between Inter and PSG is close. So another player with good pace added to squad huh?. Smart target from PSG.

Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba, is seen as a "dream signing" for Juventus. This continuous saga about Pogba is already getting a bit ridiculous because it lasts too long and there are so many conflicting news and rumors.

Well Allegri wants Pogba to return to club and help Juventus out and I think he will do quite good there. But the thing is will Ole allow him to go. Pogba has become quite a part of the team now again. There isn't any kind of tension between him and the manager. So unless there is any kind of Pogba running out of manager's favour I don't think Pogba would return.

i also have FURIA moneyline at 2. This could be a close series, ovp or vertigo could go to Liquid, but FURIA have been crazy good on Inferno lately and imo they have the edge on mrg or nuke, either map could be the decider

I am so much hoping to see Furia play Liquid on Vertigo. Small map but it is really lovely to see how crazy art goes agressively there. Always enjoyed Furia playing on Vertigo. As for G2 vs NIP, feels like NIP win and close one to me but will be packed with crazy plays for sure.

at leipzig is now after the departure of D. Upamecano the second defender who leaves the club - leipzig must now look for two strong central defenders... Roll Eyes

Good point, that's two good centre back gone for Leipzig. Guess lot of stars are leaving the club. Good thing for them that they will have good amount for both and can try getting some young defenders and develop them. There is some interest on Ozan Kabak. Still it's a good dent to centre back depth in Leipzig squad.

He will help in a lot of defensive roles hope he can transit quickly to Laliga.

I think he will do quickly. He already has got the experience and it's not like he is a young player who needs time to adjust. He will adapt to Madrid play style quickly.
2526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 28, 2021, 01:07:39 PM
Massimiliano Allegri chose Juventus over Real Madrid. Which means Pirlo will be fired in the near future, and Simone Inzaghi who chose to move
to Inter.

It's all confirmed now. Allegri has put down his sign on contract keeping him at Juventus until 2025 as manager. I still am having hard time believing he chose Juventus over Madrid. Well he's Italian and he had good time managing Juventus earlier so guess that's it.

@FatFork what’s wrong with the Board because when you have Ac Milan goal keeper available on a free transfer, why are they keen to swap De Gea, rather they should sell De Gea and get Ac Milan goal keeper for free. However one thing is for certain De Gea time is up at the club, and I can’t wait to see him leave the club.

I don't think they would replace De Gea. Henderson is a good goalkeeper and I can see him replacing De Gea but guess when it comes to goalkeeper De Gea is considered legend inside. I also think there is no need for them to proceed with Oblak when there is a goalkeeper like Donnarumma free on sale. Of course he is gonna demand a bit high fee but I think United won't have problem accepting his demands.
2527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 27, 2021, 05:21:02 PM
So it's true... I had read about it last night, now it's official.
He ended two periods only with the conquest of the Spanish League  int he last season, was he really the one who asked to leave?

And who will replace him? I have a few suggestions:
- Rául González, The coach who managed to beat Juventus with Inter Milan and is currently unemployed;
- Mauricio Pochettino, who always wanted to coach Real Madrid;
- Massimiliano Allegri, who has been mentioned on past occasions.

It was a bit shocking one. Real Madrid manager wanted to continue on with him if he was up for managing it. Zidane also wanted to continue then not sure what broke them apart.

Reports are that Allegri is also not up for managing Madrid. They also had talks with Raul earlier so he could be one. But there is nothing for sure as there is lot going on right now and anyone could become as a potential target as manager.

Simone Inzaghi (Lazio) has replaced Antoni Conte at Inter as manager : https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1397964561811226628

Lazio didn't had that good season. I wonder what made them settle with him.
2528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 27, 2021, 01:22:18 PM
I couldn't agree more, I actually expected a lot better from Man Utd, I thought they'd dominate the game and win with relative ease, but Man Utd were never the better over the course of 90 minutes, I wouldn't blame De Gea by any means, any one could have lost a penalty.

It was a deserved victory for Villarreal, however, I feel somewhat bad for for Ole, he's done a fantastic job with Man United and a silverware would have only made more sense.

Both teams played great without a doubt.

Yeah, United had a great season. They even started CL group stage quite well but went out of luck in later stages. Still they have matured a lot in last 1 year. They finished 2nd in PL despite starting quite badly. They will again start in CL group stage and hopefully they will find good progress this time. Talking about Ole, I think he is a good manager. There have been lot of instances when sack blade was around his neck but he did great. Now there have been rumours about Man United taking a interest on hiring Conte as manager but I think Ole could get the job done. He is not a bad manager, he just needs time.
2529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 26, 2021, 10:15:37 PM
This game is a joke (I am pissed), Villarreal dominating the first half and scored then it was totally the opposite in the second half, no goal scored in extra time, very late substitution, then penalties to see it kicked 11 times.
Villarreal 1 - 1 ManU /120
Villarreal 11 - 10 ManU /penalties  Lips sealed
Congrats Villarreal, didn't see this coming.

If you ask me, the whole game Manchester United were having trouble finding an opening. The goal Cavani scored was lucky enough to fall quite easily for Cavani rebound off the player. I think it was well deserved for Villarreal. Just think of the pressure they would have been facing De Gea. I was thinking of somebody missing within 5 penalty shots but they all scored. United did well but really sorry for them not getting the proper results.

ZIDANE out.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1397664075488837635

where he goes? who will go at Real?

Wow lot of shockers today  Shocked . Rumours were that Allegri is next very likely to become the next Madrid manager from quite high reliable sources. Now there are some rumours that he rejected as well- not strong though. I think Allegri is the likely one.

Donnarumma officially out from Milan, where he will go?

Source: Maldini by Goal Italia https://twitter.com/GoalItalia/status/1397590731209027589

He already seemed unsettled to me. I am sure there are lot of clubs taking a keen eye on him. Since he will run out of contract, I could see Barca and Juve reaching him out. But it will be interesting to see if he would be demanding huge salary or not.

Also another Serie A shocker, Antonio Conte has left Inter Milan. Didn't saw that coming...  Roll Eyes
2532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 24, 2021, 01:18:43 PM
For Harry Kane, he's on the way to becoming an icon for tottenham. He has been playing for Tottenham since his youth. Now important teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid need such a forward. Market value is 120 million €. There are very few teams that can give this money. Unless he is sent from Tottenham, I think Harry Kane will stay in Tottenham.

Do Barcelona need him now? Aguero deal is almost complete and plus they are also trying for Delay who also wants to leave Lyon and join Barca. I think they got their targets and they will avoid targets with big price tags this transfer window. Kane to Madrid could be possible but haven't heard any rumours related as well.
2533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 23, 2021, 08:23:05 PM
Leicester played very well at the start of the season. But in the end they lost a lot of points. If we consider their last 5 matches, we can see that they have lost 11 points in the last 5 matches. Had they not performed so poorly in the last few matches, they would have been in the top four in the points table.

Past stats doesn't matter much but I would say they are one side who have been hit with injuries in defense area as well. Evans, Fofana, Justin these are key players in defense. Today Fofana got inured and they had to change the whole plans. I think they played well , just went out of luck in the end. That's what happens when you don't have much depth in some positions.
2534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 23, 2021, 05:11:24 PM
I kinda feel sorry for Leicester, Chelsea even gave them a chance but they missed the CL spot again in the last game. Still, a good season for them, although this has to hurt.

I watched that game and Leicester really did played well until the second goal which totally break it all down. Guess it was all or nothing after that since CL spot was on the line. Also Spurs planned out well to bring out pacy players like Bale and Moura and take a good charge on counter at the last moment and it did paid out well.

Yeah feel sorry for Leicester but they have developed a lot in these years and to me it feels like another big club inthe making.
2535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 23, 2021, 04:19:24 PM
provisional results:

Leicester 1 - 1 tottenham (hopefully it will end in a draw or tottenham win, although tottenham has little chance of winning)

Chelsea 0 - 1 Aston villa (I said in the last post that aston villa was not a team to be underestimated, but there is still a long time to go and the chelsea can reverse this result although I would be happy that chelsea lost)

now my team "liverpool"

Liverpool 1 - 0 crystal palace (I hope this game ends and liverpool win)
Leicester scored from penalty first then Spurs get a draw. I saw one member talking about Vardy scoring or playing full match. Leicester has to win or wait for Villa to score more goals vs Chelsea which isn't obvious.
Ok while writing Vardy scored another penalty Grin

There you have it.. second goal for Villa and that puts Leicester into Champions League spot again. Damn, last round of football league is so fun to watch. Leicester right now are fantastic. They are going on full defensive style and only working on counters. Good managing from Rodgers there. Plus Leicester fans puts the Leicester vs Spurs to another level. I will be very glad if Leicester finishes top 4.
2536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 23, 2021, 11:21:53 AM
Leicester's chance for the 4th place is really really low I believe.
It will even be more heartbreak for Leicester fans cause it was the same scenario last season, they can't keep staying in the top four all season long, only to drop out of it in that last few matches and then miss out on UCL football. They could have put the icing on a fantastic season if they had qualified for the UCL next season, after having won the FA cup from Chelsea some days back, it's still possible for them to make it, but it's no longer in their hands, they will be hoping for a miracle in the other games.
Leicester city were close to clinching the Champions League qualification for last season, but they narrowly missed out. An reoccurrence too? I think they need to win at home to Tottenham, score lots of goals and hope that Liverpool drop points against Crystal Palace.

Yeah feels like chances of Leicester playing CL is slim now. Also  it seems they would also be able to qualify if Chelsea loses today's game and Leicester wins their game. Honestly the competition is very tight and anything could happen. PL teams have different quality than any other leagues and there could be a surprise. It will be interesting to see how managers plan out today's game.

@Coyster . TBH I want Leicester to qualify as well as they have played really excellent this season. They already got their hands on FA Cup and it would be remarkable season if they get a CL spot too.
2537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 22, 2021, 08:43:48 PM
I don't believe this!

Fixtures that looked like one of the title contenders would win by a huge margin ended with both teams losing, how intriguing!

I guess this was a little present for the betting companies who should be in profits for both favourites failing win.

Congratulations Athletico Madrid, 2020/2021 champions.

Actually both won their respective matches but since Atletico were already in comfortable seat with two points gap, they have claimed the 1st position and are the LaLiga winners. Too close for Real Madrid but no doubt that Atletico were the better team this season.

I am waiting for Zidane and his leave rumours. As of now Real Madrid will keep him as manager if he wants to but let's see how discussion goes.
2538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 22, 2021, 05:18:33 PM
^ ^  Messi will never leave unless he’s really wanted by Pep and if City had the money to pay for his wages.  But Pep already expressed his desire for Messi to stay at Barca and finish his career with his boyhood club like he did.

Fair point (+1)

And it’s funny if City loses the CL final and Aguero wins it the next season with Barca.  Cheesy

Damn now I wonder why that^^ didn't boggled into my mind. That would be really funny. I think Pep has the mind and it's only the final last match. Given the experience and squad I am inclined towards City as favourites but yeah couldn't rule Tuch out as well and the way Chelsea squad have played after Lampard left. Tough contest...

Transfer rumours:

Chelsea are ready to offer several players, including England forward Tammy Abraham, and Spain goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, in a player-plus-cash offer for Tottenham's 27-year-old England striker Harry Kane. An interesting idea but what will Tottenham say to that?

I'm not so sure that Levy would like to sell him accepting a cash + player(s) deal. He was demanding 150m pounds for Kane some time ago. I don't know if he changed his mind and decreased the level. It wouldn't be bad to see Kane at Chelsea also. But I don't know whether Chelsea can play for titles in the next season. I know that they are in the CL final now but who knows what will happen in the future.

I don't think they would value Kepa and Abraham that much to match for Harry Kane. Both players are not in first team picture due to performance. I think we have discussed it here earlier but Chelsea have been desperately trying to offload Kepa and recover the price they paid for him. His value has dropped and so is Abraham's. But yeah cash could be a good factor to trigger them and they need to include a good amount and I don't think they will include much.
2539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 22, 2021, 05:00:30 PM
Hahaha. Man, this is really a weird start for Atletico and Real both.  Grin  But I think they will both turn the game around and win. And Atletico will become the champions at the end. I've missed seeing different champions rather than Barça and Real.

As compared to Atletico's opponents, Real Madrid have tough opponents before them. Valladolid has some good players actually and can give quite a competition. So yeah looks like Atletico are the ones favourites but you never know- it's Real and they can turn things too. Question is if they are lucky enough to make a comeback and on other hand Atletico loses their match.

Douglas Costa leaves bayern munich again and is loaned on to brazil by juventus turin

Quote
Juventus have loaned Douglas Costa to Brazilian side Grêmio. The Italian Serie A side announced the deal on Friday afternoon. Douglas Costa spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Bayern Munich where he managed 693 minutes spread out over 20 appearances (one goal and three assists).
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/douglas-costa-joins-gremio-loan-deal-from-juventus-now-official/view/news/385630

Haven't seen him play for sometime now but guess there are lot of players favoured before him in the team. Given his age wouldn't surprise me if he makes his move to Gremio permanent later on or maybe move to some other Brazilian team or MLS team like Higuain did. He wi find good playing minutes and spotlight there.
