Catchy, no?

Too long. Can I call u just "Master"?

If you like, we're decentralised. Do what you think is best for the cause  Grin Grin

Do we have a link that describes what it is? NXT Phasing is cool and there is much interest in it. But I need some links to refer to.

No links yet.

Phasing

Phaser splits the processing of transactions into phases and this is a big step to true decentralization. Phasing will implement Account Control and will make cold, storage, escrow and few other things obsolete. Full details due to be released in April.

Thanks!

Another one you might enjoy (that we know even less about  Cheesy  )

Time Warp
Time Warp is a feature of Transparent Forging that will support very high transactions per second within Nxt. Full details will be released in April.

CfB, any more detail on the "few other things"?

In short Monetary System will allow to create currencies backed by NXT. New coins r created by "burning" NXTs. Actually these NXTs r not burned but locked. Anytime u can destroy created coins and get the NXTs back.
Shocked

Yes, on April 5, 1933 Franklin Roosevelt confiscated gold. Now, 80 years later we r giving it back to ppl, and noone will be able to confiscate it again.

 Shocked

Can you give a time on the 5th that this will be launched?  (Assuming this was the pseudo-cryptic announcement of the launch date?)

Then people can set up the countdown timer they wanted and spam it across the internet  Grin Grin

I think the time is coming when we may have to lock this thread, Elmo and his sockpuppet can dominate much more easily with fewer people around  Undecided We have been over these issues a least once before in recent memory but now only newbies are seeing it, everyone else has Emule on ignored.

On the new forum, he would have to spread his FUD in a dozen places to even start to make an impact   Grin  I would prefer he just FUD's the pub thread on there though as he would probably get banned if he spammed the subject specific forums  Cheesy

Does Emule have me on ignore??  Cheesy

sepehr: I think there could be:
Completed

On Testnet

In Progress

Conceptual

I would be tempted with "Closed TestNet" and "Open Testnet" too. It isn't right that a closed testnet should be considered equal to our 'fully open shiny new testnet that everyone can play with'  Grin Ours works and everyone who cares to look can see it.

Or, I suppose you could just add a note to the 'in progress' to say it is a closed testnet, that would work too  Wink

seems as though we are back on track in this thread now which is good news. keep up the good work ppl

MSIN, ChuckOne, CIYAM etc don't really post here much now as they are over there developing the tech.

Don't want to check a dozen subforums? Neither did I!

So I just bookmarked the dev threads I was interested in and now I just go to 'My Bookmarks' (i.e. one page) and look for the 'new' symbol to keep up with all the tech discussions  Cheesy

Nice tip!!!!  Smiley

It saves me about 2 hours a day too  Cheesy  I was addicted to this thread it was becoming a real burden on my life!

don't understand why the main attention currently circling just around prices instead functionality.
price action at this stage means nothing and only usable functionality can and will lift prices within
next time in a stable manner.

i think nxt should concentrate much more on this and especially communicate a direct comparison,
visualized with a comparison/feature matrix. just have a look at this list:

- Decentralized Alias System / DNS
- Basic DDoS Protection:
- Decentralized Asset Exchange / Colored Coins
- Transparent Mining / Forging
- Arbitrary Messaging
- Instant Transactions
- Decentralized Marketplace / Auction
- Distributed Storage
- Blockchain Shrinking
- Phasing (Two-phase Payments/Multi-signatures)
- Voting System
- Reputation System / Judgement System
- Decentralized Mixing Service
- Distributed Computing
- Smart Contracts
- Hardware Wallets
- Advanced DDoS Protection Project Kharo
- Client Application
- Client Web
- Autonomous Transactions

now imagine to add the 5 or 7 most important cryptos (btc/ltc/ethereum/master etc) into this feature matrix with two columns each.
one columne for already built in core and the second one with already usable within clients.
a green checkmark for already built in, a yellow for in dev and a grey for planned.

(just a random example to show what i mean -> http://www.alexander-it.com/images/matrix_small.jpg)

i bet if you visualize this comparison you can see nxt will rule because of it's feature/time advantage
over all other cryptos. while it's true nxt haven't all features in use yet this matrix will reveal the
true functionality RELATION to other cryptos and the result will visualize this easy to grasp.
no shy, let us compare in a fair manner and see the result!

bounty offer

i don't know if a matrix like this exist atm if not i like to offer a initial bounty of 1.000 nxt to create a spreadsheet
for this. the spreadsheet can used to create a pdf and a html page, which i would like to add to the blockexplorer mainpage.
perhaps some others can add some nxt, making it more atractive for a user to create this.

edit: the main reason i would like to have such matrix is to READJUST the RELATION to other cryptos.
from what i have seen here so far this view is totally out of focus.

I will arrange to do this!

Great! this will help those who have to speak publicly at conferences etc. to point out exactly how Nxt is unique to others and where it is ahead.

there is only one buyer desperately trying to get price up with fake buys higher than ask, unfortunately his efforts are just a drop on a hot plate
big sell wave incoming

Price will go to 0.00001, good advice don’t buy, sell

This puppy is going to zero many bagholders will cry even big ones that could not sell before big sell of

Elmo
See Emule.

Emule
Emule is a Nxt user who is, and always has been, extremely pessimistic about the future of Nxt. He/She can often be seen predicting a large fall in the price of NXT, which predictably do not occur when He/She claims they will. When the NXT price invariably falls, Emule will claim it was due to his/her selling action. On many, many occasions (25+ by some estimates) it has been shown that Emule's predictions don't come true and many have pointed out the poor logic behind telling people you are about to sell a large amount before you actually do (you could get better prices if you don't). But Emule remains a tenacious member of the Nxt community. Emule is adamant that he/she is an original Founder who has millions of NXTs to Dump. Or sometimes that they are just a trader out to make a killing. All evidence so far suggests they are just a FUDster but only time will tell. Despite his/her stance and sometimes unbecoming behaviour (i.e. making claims about the sexual orientation of other users mothers), he has become a loveable rogue and pantomime villain of the Nxt Pub threads, earning the nickname Elmo and often receiving a tickle behind the ears when he makes an appearance.

FIFY Elmo.

You're welcome.
2536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 26, 2014, 02:33:47 PM

i predict 500K dump before the end of the day!

Pessimistic scenario is more realistic. I am afraid that NXT rate will stuck around 4000 satoshi for a very long time (until next NY). Emule may be right in his (her) prediction.
Other strong competitors will be there. NXT can sink into oblivion.

Maybe. Their track record suggests otherwise  Cheesy but who knows. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day  Cheesy
