2521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I have to say about the current bitcoin situation - watch on: January 16, 2016, 02:32:30 PM
Gavin should be the leader. After all Satoshi named him, so what's the issue here?

If he doesn't want to be the leader, I can be the leader.

I'm the creator of those videos, so you can take me as the Hitler character  Cheesy
The problem with Gavin is some people thinks he is on government/CIA payroll. Also he is part of scandalous Bitcoin Foundation which discredited itself many times in the past.
Haern is partially right that this is problem with the community and it will be hard to achieve good consensus. I am afraid that lack of understanding will be the end of bitcoin, not government or regulations.
2522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Day for Bitcoin. Cryptsy finally admitted theft and Mike Hearn tells truth on: January 15, 2016, 02:28:57 PM
This news is seriously overemphasized bullshit. I read more about it and it seems that people think Hearn=Bitcoin or something - and if he leave then bitcoin is doomed, this is not true at all.
What is worrying is he is right about one thing:

"The block chain is controlled by Chinese miners, just two of whom control more than 50% of the hash power.
At a recent conference over 95% of hashing power was controlled by a handful of guys sitting on a single stage."

And here we have just another panic sell...
2523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Day for Bitcoin. Cryptsy finally admitted theft and Mike Hearn tells truth on: January 15, 2016, 12:25:16 PM
$30 loss, come on, people are afraid for such thing really? they have not the right to hold then

This is only the first day.  The damage will probably sip in much longer than that.  But, I do want to buy more if bitcoin drop below 200 again.
Wait, so this news is so dangerous that bitcoin price will be that low? I don't belive it, we had many scams and problems before and bitcoin always survived.
I don't think that Cryptsy theft is any more problematic than Mt.Gox fall ever have been.
2524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 15, 2016, 12:17:55 PM
Faucets can be good if you are really new to bitcoin but once you at least spend 1 month with faucets, you should stop using it, cause I feel its just too harsh to get some satoshi every hour.
Yes everyone looses in long run, and surely if uncontrolled.
Faucets are only good for totally new people. I suspect they are used by people who don't know how low they are earning with them.
As yourself this question: 'Do you find betting less than 1 cent is fun in the long run?' For some gamblers maybe, but then what different that is from playing a demo mode?
2525  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you have 1mBTC? Try your luck. 0.001 BTC to 1.024 BTC on: January 15, 2016, 10:58:49 AM
The amount of pessimism here, makes mine seem small. What is wrong in trying, its all in good humor. I once got ~25 win streak at 2.5x but unfortunately stopped increasing my bets after the 6th one thinking I'd lose any moment then
It is not pessimism, it is realism. We all know that winning this kind of streak is almost impossible. So what if our initial contribution is very low?
As you said it is only to see how much you can get from it. Totally for fun.
2526  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your daily bankroll limit? on: January 15, 2016, 10:49:40 AM
I gamble mainly with my signature campaign earnings so my bankroll is limited to that. I usually use 50% of my total income for my gambling sessions.
I don't need to keep separate wallet for my gambling needs because I keep my gambling discipline.
2527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: January 14, 2016, 03:56:32 PM
I cut some quotes, its so long...

usually those who became rich by gambling are people who are willing to take the risk..which gives them the reason that gambling is not wrong..
Indeed. But, IIRC, there is this one guy (Archie Karas, IIRC) who turned $50 into $40 millions!
Eventually he still lose it all. :-(
And that only proves that gamblers don't know their limits. He could easily stop and grab the money but he wanted more and more.
The winners in gambling are not the one who won, but the one who know when to stand up and go home with their money.
2528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013 on: January 14, 2016, 03:49:03 PM
Nice to see another challenge of '7 bets streak' here. As far as I know no one on Bitcointalk did it. The most successful attempts were shut down at 7 bet I think.
It is nice that you limit your games to Odds higher than 1.9 with odds lower than 1.5 that is not fun. Good Luck.
2529  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking to play poker on: January 14, 2016, 01:57:19 PM
You can also try luckyflop.eu and also betcoin.ag both offer poker games.
I tried to test Luckyflop.eu today and site is not working for me (504 Gateway Time-out: nginx/1.8.0), I have no idea what happened to their service.
They are temporarily down or out of the business completely?
2530  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitpalace.io | NEW BitCoin Casino - simple / fair / fun | Instant Deposit on: January 14, 2016, 12:46:56 PM
Could you please add free demo mode, where you can play and test your games without registering?
How high is House Edge on your games, where I can check information about provably fair system?
2531  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking to play poker on: January 14, 2016, 12:16:00 PM

2533  Economy / Gambling / Re: eSports Betting - Unbeatable Odds - Live Videos Shown on: January 13, 2016, 03:45:25 PM
I was in desperate need of bitcoin e-sport platform couple days ago. I tried to bet on vitalbet.com but it turns out they are being completely nontransparent with their bitcoin deposits/payments.
Too bad I didn't know about your site back then. I am gonna test it now.
2534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 13, 2016, 03:28:08 PM
yes, of course everyone looses in a long run, house edge is there in casinos in order to make people to fail in gambling and give their all money to a casino owner, thats why i gamble only with small sums of money
You sound like there is no one who profit from gambling (beside casino owners, of course) and that is not true, most people must lose so few could win.
While your luck will be probably suppressed by probability if you roll the dice 100.000.000 times but there are seriously people who profit from occasional luck spikes.
2535  Economy / Gambling / Re: luckywheel24 - luckywheel24.com on: January 13, 2016, 03:20:29 PM
The design is cool and the features is good, can you add another wheel?
Seeing how 'wheels' are just reskins with different background and colors I would like to see some change in mechanic in alternative wheels.
I don't know if that is possible as you most likely would need to redesign current system but will be cool to have totally different experience in each wheel.
2536  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to hit $10,000? on: January 12, 2016, 02:51:39 PM
According to some speculators price spike of bitcoin is approaching with the halving. Take a look at this graph and comment if that price of $21k is realistic for you?

2537  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX now accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment on: January 12, 2016, 02:41:38 PM
I wouldn't get too excited about this,  went in today and got expected response from first girl behind till,  second knew enough to ask her colleague who knew enough to say that they aren't set up for it.  Appears to just be selected stores.
Still good news. The mere fact that they are pushing bitcoin adoption is crucial, it may be not available everywhere so far but one day it will.
Keep on asking for BTC, we are still rather small minority. But if CEX now accepting BTC maybe eBay will start tomorrow?
2538  Economy / Gambling / Re: luckywheel24 - luckywheel24.com on: January 12, 2016, 02:25:18 PM
The site is NOT provably fair. There is a 5% deposit fee according to FAQ. The game itself has a huge 6.25% house edge. Please fix all the three things if you want to attract players.
If this is the truth then there is no way that anyone would want to deposit money and trying to play. Deposit fee is like totally detrimental factor, until this gone I don't think people will be interested.
And with House Edge so high why I want to play luckywheel24 instead of good old Dice with 1% HE or even less?
2539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 years i accumulated 10 btc, but now, i not have idea...suggestion? on: January 11, 2016, 07:42:19 PM
return here around 2030, and you will know what to do with them

bitcoin is still in his infancy still a long way to go before it will be accepted seriously
Or neglected completely. As many spectators fear that sovereign cryptocurrency won't survive in world of controlled economy.
Not to mention some of us might be dead by 2030, and I want to buy for my BTC something before I die and not 'hold' forever.
2540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 years i accumulated 10 btc, but now, i not have idea...suggestion? on: January 11, 2016, 07:21:17 PM
I agree that mining solo (by solo I mean you and your couple ASICs, it does't matter if it is pool mining or not) or other mining related bitcoin investment are thing of the past.
If you don't have money for buying whole mining farm you don't have to mine. As I heard recently current rising trend is bitcoin loans, and services which capitalize on that.
Maybe investing portion of your BTC in that segment of market will be good idea?
